Rank doesn't equal MMR, but if you're Red 3 you've probably been playing a lot more than the team of survs sitting at Ash 3-! and probably have a better handle on the game.

Question 1.
Afair, devs stated that mmr only depends on death/escape for survivors (with hatch escapes not awarding nor decreasing it), and kills/escapes for killer.
Amount of pts you lose as a dying survivor varies and depends on death order - the one to die first gets the highest penalty. Killers gain the same amount of points for each dead survivor. 2 deaths/2 escapes is considered to be the status quo.

As of today, no.
Question 3
Because ELO appears to be the most efficient MM system for PVP games that are at least a bit competitive.
Question 4
Because old ranks mostly reflected the amount of time you spent playing recently rather than how good you are as a player, which eventually lead to incredibly one-sided matches.

Not suggesting an individual's MMR here - just pointing out a flaw in the common wisdom with ELO as applied to DBD.
I'll also point out: OP didn't suggest they were top MMR, and wasn't asking other people to only reply if they were themselves top MMR. They asked: "What's your top MMR?"
Yup.
The point is, judging your killer-specific mmr by winrate with ELO system in place is fundamently erroneous (unless you are above the "soft cap" as you call it on all the killers in question).
I joined the discussion for this particular sub-topic (which has more to do with maths and matching algorythms than dbd on its own), and for that reason i quoted the exact comment I was replying to.

The fact that we know there's a soft cap for MMR undermines this, though. Have a high enough MMR and you actually have it artificially lowered - matchmaking is bounded. There's a few people who will have high MMR in DBD's system who simply won't be being matched against equals.
Could be this, could be that.
Generally speaking, if OP is sub 5k hrs player w/o major competitive experience, it is safe to assume that he's not hitting the roof of his region mmr rankings with his head, particularly with doc (no offense). The option of mmr-skill gap appears to be more likely.

You may not know exactly what your MMR (number or however it raises) is but you know you have a high MMR with a killer you play when you constantly get 4k's and 3k's as i have said. You cant tell me im wrong about that just because i dont know the hidden data i only know about what i do! With that being said you can say "Oh he has high MMR with a mid tier killer using a meme build" when in fact you never went against a Doctor with the build i have so what does it matter if its a meme build or not, for me its extremely effective. I got 6 4's in a row (with 1 dc) and im at ahigh rank, so the "your not going against top survivors and thats why your winning" goes out the window!
That's not how ELO systems work, though.
Aven Fallen is right; if you consistently overperform, your mmr is lower than your real level at the moment. It doesn't indicate how high it is, it only shows the margin between your mmr and your skill.

Do you want to rework Camaraderie or Kindred?
Both perks seem to be okay as is, and neither of them is overly complicated, too.

It's a simple Mute feature, and there is absolutely no reason for it to be capped at any number.

Kindred is sure helpful, unless you are at the very top of the mmr mountain where everyone has map awareness of a blatantly wallhacking 13 year old in CS:GO; then it's a wasted perk slot.
Gens > friends, people are too altrustic more often than not, which decreases your team's odds to win.
Sometimes to slowly die on the hook is the best thing you can do for your team, don't give up unless you want to spawn a hatch for your last teammate asap.
As a rule of thumb, gens > heals unless specific perks (CoH, we'll make it, etc.) or hit-and-run killers (nobody plays them anymore so w/e) are involved.

Besides video settings, you can:
● Update your drivers
● Increase VRAM (paging file size)
● Restart the game every few matches if you notice drops in performance over time - DbD has a memory leak which results in slow but steady RAM corruption

Where'd you hear that? The last time they released map statistics, Rotten Fields was near the top of survival rates - if not the highest.
A combo of my 1.5-2k recorded games plus (partially incorrect) memories of officially released stats from 2019-2020 season. I've looked it up and you are right, rotten fields reigns as top1 there.
In my personal stat-book it's #9, while most of the other maps show similar figures to worldwide performance data from bhvr.

Rotten fields is pretty average statistically (lethality across all killers used as benchmark). On the other hand this realm has 2 out of bottom-5 killer maps - thomspon's house and fractured cowshed.

I don't think it's useful for the killer unless you are playing as Hag, and even then it's quite suboptimal. For other killers it's a harmful offering, an equivalent of spawn-together offerings for survivors.

Flashlight spam-clicking is a pointless mechanics regardless, though.

Nice event, great to see new mechanics being added instead of blighted gens/hooks type of stuff only affecting visuals and BP gain.

Well I play Blight pretty sweaty so the MMR system puts me up very high (not calling myself good, thats just how it works) and cheaters are usually at high MMR aswell from, well, cheating their way to the win.
As far as I know I was at the literally highest existing mmr group when the season started, so worst case we play at the same rating.

I definetely did not know this, last time I've seen one was about 500-700 hrs ago, and it was quite a fun guy. What do you do to see them this often?

Theoretically it narrows down your hitbox and as such increases the difficulty of hitting a survivor when backrevving, albeit not by much; I might be missing something, though.

No it can not tell the difference, the connection is just interrupted from server's pov. It has no access to data that would clarify the reason for that.
Also other players are equally hurt by your forced dc's and connection breakdowns, so it shouldn't be treated differently anyways.

I got 10-15 fps on RPD on both sides, no backwater swamp can top it.

How come when there are two essentially identical achievement sets, one with challenging requirements and the other one being dull and boring, and you come up with a suggestion to change the first one and not the latter one?

Only answering the main topic question.
Share of SWFs across all ranks spikes in the evening times (about 8-10pm local time as long as your TZ features its own server), and daytime/evenings on weekends. Mornings and working hours usually provide you with 4x solos or worst case 2+1+1 - everybody's either working or studying.

12m when idle, 14m when attached to a survivor. It goes up to 18m when you control Victor.

Second chance perks are predictable and thus possible to play around.

Don't swing into people who've just been unhooked in your face, instead count to 12 while closely following them or force a grab if they vault.
Don't pick up ppl with DS timer on, leave them on the floor. Hooks are vastly overrated, slugged survivors provide you about as much space as hooked ones.

I assume Head On would work, since you save the survivor AND you stun the killer, kinda like a pallet save. I don't think flashlight saving gives you the killer stun event.
Are you sure the challenge works when you save other survivors and not yourself? Its wording says otherwise in my language.

In my language it clearly reads as "you have to use Power Struggle for the stun", so stunning/blinding them while they carry another survivor won't work. You gotta save yourself with a power struggle pallet stun.

To keep it short, OoO doesn't work for the duration of Off the record.
OoO's killer aura reveal is triggered by your aura being tracked by the killer, which does not happen with Off the record. Perk description clearly states that (assuming you are the obsession) YOUR aura is revealed to the killer every 30 seconds and not vice versa.

They react to everything that triggers a sound notification for the killer. Tinkerer, red herring, deception, divertion, spies from the shadows, etc. - all of these do the trick.

There's no such possibility as of today, and to the best of my knowledge devs have never set any deadline for console post-game chat to be released.
