Yes, please come and counter my face camping. Everyone. With the power of three survivors, anything is possible. If you run in different direction, I will only be able to down like 2 of you! That makes me lose out on a lot of pressure.
Ahaha yeah but it's also entirely possible to do it with only one other survivor. And even more possible with 3 :')
-
I guess I'll take the bait :^)
I think we all know that not all killers camp/tunnel. If the killer however does decide to do so then it's their decision.
But as survivor, while annoying, it's entirely possible to counter face camping and tunneling. Even if you're playing solo. It just takes some extra work. Sometimes it's even fun and exciting to counter camping.
The amount of times me and my SWF sound like we're playing CoD with all of our call outs, yelling, and game planning is actually quite funny. Then if we all manage to escape it sounds like a football party as we all cheer.
-
Got salt for not tunneling. No joke.
I kept running into a Meg I hooked last and I was trying to find the other person left (I believe a Jake?) because they only had one hook. If possible I like to spread out the amount of hooks I get.
I kept leaving Meg alone but after running into her for like the 3rd time I just downed her and continued to look for Jake. Eventually ended up finding him, walked away and let Meg get the unhook, and then hooked both the Meg and Jake for the last time.
Jake said that he bet I was the kind of killer to "tunnel and face camp". I was so confused at being called a tunneler and face camper by doing the exact opposite, to the point where I just had to laugh at it all.
-
It is quite annoying, playing on either side and someone suiciding on hook. In my opinion people should just suck it up and either play out the game or just take the DC penalty rather than going around the penalty system to get out of a game. I find it questionable when people say they suicided because of a certain killer being played and/or certain perks being played. I do have personal reasons for having this point of view. In every single other game I play it has it as a reportable and bannable offense if you "suicide" such as throwing yourself off the map, feeding the enemy team, etc. IMO if someone really wanted to get out of a game — they should take the DC penalty. It's the risk and small punishment you take for abandoning your teammates and each time you do it the punishment will get worse.
If it makes up for it, even in a small way, I try and treat suicides on hook like DCs and give someone hatch. Or if the survivors give up I'll farm with them. And I'll apologize for the suicide(s) even though it wasn't my fault.
-
I feel like Tokyo Ghoul has a lot of great selections for both survivors and killer. Granted I never finished the anime all the way but I think the ghouls different kagunes would open up the possibilities a lot of cool kits for the killer.
I was tempted to put TVD putting aside whether or not it would actually fit in DBD — only because having Damon Salvatore as a survivor would be chefs kiss 🤌🏻

Gotta go with my hubby's. When I first heard it, it was the only chase theme that actually put me on edge a bit like a chase theme is supposed to. More specifically the 16 meter tune and the actual engaged chase tune. Knowing that the violin-like noises are most likely slowed down and distorted screams of his dying victims just gives the chase music an extra psychological horror layer (which is specifically my favorite horror genre!)
-
Here's some of my favorites of all different genres!
Animes:
Noragami, Sword Art Online, Seraph of the End, Bleach, Seven Deadly Sins, MHA (I've just started watching but it's pretty good so far)
Movies:
Avatar (blue people), Ready Player One, Child's Play, Hunger Games, The Fault in Our Stars, Silent Hill, Warm Bodies, Corpse Bride, Hocus Pocus, House of 1000 Corpses, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, HTTYD, Sucker Punch
TV shows:
TVD (insanely cringy and boring at the beginning but it gets better), True Blood (definitely 18+ but such good character development), Wandavision, Supernatural, The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Wentworth, Lucifer, Love Death & Robots, You, Bandersnatch, anything in The Bachelor franchise (BiP, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette — I'm a hopeless romantic soooo..)
-
So far all the changes look great for the most part. But I'm anxiously waiting to see how they're going to touch my baby Trickster with the add ons being revised and possible additional changes that may come.
-
Probably Trapper or Myers in my opinion. I've never really been a huge fan of the slasher movies that are "big guy with big weapon, covered face, and no personality".
I like my killers/villains in any form of media to be "flashy" in their personality and looks (I mean.. my name says it all as to who my husband is and how flashy he is compared to the rest of the killer roster). But aside from DBD, I would say my favorite classic slasher is Chucky and Tiffany from Child's Play — who both have flashy looks and personalities. But that's just my personal preference.
-
While there's no way to truly tell — if I'm trying to preemptively judge a person's skill level/MMR I'll look at the amount of hours played, how many achievements they have, the comments on their profile, and their skin.
If they have a lot of hours, a lot of achievements, +rep comments, and a bright skin I assume they know what they're doing. Again, this isn't always the case but the closest you can get to making a prediction without seeing their actual gameplay and build.
But when you actually play against them, if they know specifically what loops to use in certain situations, they know what gens to do not to 3 gen themselves, how well they can time things, etc. all clues in on their MMR. But no way to be 100% sure.
-
I've actually had a decrease in flashlight flicker spammers. Or maybe I don't pay attention that well to notice any flickering.
But from the survivor side I do sometimes flashlight flicker if I'm carrying one in certain situations. Not to be toxic to the killer — though it probably seems that way to them. If I'm in a chase and I run past someone I'll give my flashlights a few clicks behind me to warn them that I'm being chased and where they're coming from to try and avoid sandbagging.
-
Quite a couple things. I love horror, and this is a really fun game to play with my friends. I like the characters a lot as well. Trickster obviously makes up for a huge part of me staying on DBD as well — with his lore, aesthetic, and kit. And just the overall gameplay itself is fun. The majority of the community is really nice too and I feel like I fit in here compared to any other game I play.
-
If you don't want to quit playing the game, honestly I'd say find the one thing that'll make you happy in the game and stick with it. Whether it be a specific character, role, or anything.
For me I definitely felt the same way until Trickster was released. Now I have fun even when I lose and it's just given me a much more positive outlook on the game. Same with when I play with my SWF — we just have stupid fun even if we're being camped/slugged or lose terribly. So I tend to stick with those things the most.
But also your performance doesn't define you. Even the top dog players have bad games sometimes. This game is very RNG based so sometimes the cards just simply aren't in your favor.
-
I really do wish there was a way to block people. If I remember correctly you can block someone but they have to either be in your lobby or on your friends list? I'm not sure what blocking does but I had some personal drama a little bit ago with someone I played DBD with who was a friend of a friend and they made me very uncomfortable so I blocked them on every platform I could. Couldn't block them on DBD though as it would require me to friend request them or have them in my lobby which sucks because I want nothing to do with them.
-
Love Fengs cosmetics the most as it relates to me the most irl. Fashion wise irl I definitely look like Kate's biker skin but on the inside I'm definitely a cinnamon roll like Feng. My aesthetic and appearance are complete opposites haha
-
Just had this happen to me today with a Huntress. I used a Syringe mid looping and was able to heal while I looped her and then she stopped and stared at me and then left me alone. Got looped pretty hard by the other survivors and then she just went to the exit gate and faced it. I always feel bad because I've been where they are so I crawled up to her and gave her my item and told her to come with me and dropped pallets for her to break and then I died for her. I don't really care about escaping or winning but I hope that the one kill they get from me helps them feel a little better.
-
I don't have any screenshots of my Feng skin combo but here's some pretty screenshots of my Trickster skin combo I've been using recently :)

I feel like you forgot he has a sharp baseball bat
Well every killer has a sharp primary weapon but tbh his is probably one of the least dangerous because there is a portion of the bat you could try to grab without cutting yourself if he did get close enough. But if we're going by his lore my guess is that his bat would be a lot less dangerous than his knives because the only time he used his bat is when his victims couldn't fight back because they were tied up/drugged/etc. so he probably wouldn't know 100% how to use it against someone who had the full ability to fight back.
-
I play both but I lean more on the killer side.
-
I don't have a problem with it. When I play Trickster survivors will either use it to dodge my knives (which only delays their imminent death by like 1-2 seconds) or to get to a pallet — which unless it's a high loop will only give me a chance to land more knives while they're stuck in animation.
Most of the time if I'm going for an m1 attack I assume every survivor I'm chasing carries dead hard and I'll wait it out. But if I do get caught off guard with a dead hard I'll remember which survivor it is so I know for next chase with them. So it's not that big of a problem for me.
-
Was a close call between Nurse's blink and Throwing Weapons. But I wouldn't want to feel super exhausted after teleporting.
But yeah, it would be cool to be able to throw knives like Trickster which is something I could realistically learn. Something about blades (both knife and sword/katanas) are really beautiful to me and I plan on collecting custom resin knives and having a wall of them and collecting katanas.
-
I honestly don't think I'll ever quit playing killer. I play both but I lean more on killer side even with SBMM, I love playing Trickster too much :)
-
Love: Trickster (obviously).
Like: Nurse, Doctor, Pig, Plague, Demogorgon, Deathslinger, Executioner, Blight
Indifferent: Nightmare, Legion, Ghostface, Oni, Twins, Nemesis, Cenobite
Dislike: Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Shape
Hate: Hag, Huntress, Cannibal, Clown, Spirit
-
It's also been happening a lot to me as survivor. Used to not happened much and then with the new SBMM it's dramatically increased.
But as someone who leans more on the Killer main side I'm truly not sure why other killers do this. The most toxic I get is carrying survivors out into the open to Mori (just cause I love Tricky's Mori so damn much), shake my head no when I down someone, or give someone a smack after I put them on hook. But I'll only shake my head or give someone a smack on hook if they were being toxic to me beforehand (teabagging, flashlight spamming, etc.) Even if a SWF or really coordinated team makes me feel like I have my hands tied behind my back in the end it's a game and new players in a new game are a fresh reset and my frustration from the prior game is mostly gone.
-
Haven't been to many other states and I'm deathly afraid of planes but my favorite place I've been is Pennsylvania. I used to go there every summer as a kid to visit family and I have a lot of memories from my childhood there I cherish. Went there recently to visit my best friend and she took me to a lot of amazing scenery spots.
Bucket list places (if I ever got over my phobia of planes) however are England, Japan, South Korea. I have a close friend in England and they show me pictures of when they go sight seeing all the time and I'd love to be able to hang and sight see with them.
-
My favorite killer is Trickster
My build for him: BBQ, Starstruck, Ruin, and Discordance
My favorite survivor is Feng
My build for her: Sprint Burst, Alert, Self Care, and Spine Chill
Been thinking about playing around with a Lethal Pursuer + Corrupt Intervention build for Trickster though. Just to give me an almost guaranteed early game lead so I'll always be one step ahead of the gens.

Does your art business include “painting houses”, Mrs. Trickster? 👀 🔪🩸
Ahaha I mean he does love it when I "paint houses" with him so I guess so 😈🩸
-
Probably around 2 months? Not for any particular reason but I just got busy between college and running my art business.
-
Pyramid Head is one of my favorite horror icons even before I started playing DBD so I used to main him before Trickster!
-
Give Trickster the 115% base movement speed he deserves (while keeping the slower movement speed when he throws knives).
-
Most people don't like it when you take a weak killer and absolutely obliterate them. All of the toxicity I get for playing Trickster comes from lobbies that I 3k-4k in. Granted I don't get too much toxicity but it does happen. I've had TTVs DC against me and say I was hitting them over things I shouldn't be able to when — little do they know even if I hit the very tippy top of their head it's enough of the hitbox to count. And I get regular survivor DCs pretty often, maybe once every 4 matches? But people hardly go against him anymore so a good portion of survivors don't know 100% of how he works.
He's also a very black and white killer. If you're caught in the open or at a low/small loop you're done for and there's not much you can do other than try and dodge and hope the Trickster doesn't know how to aim well and get to a safer area. But yes, it's very possible to counter him if you know which kind of loops are his worst.
-
Negan is one of my top 5 favorite fictional characters so hands down TWD.
-
I personally have the most fun playing Trickster which is why I decided to one-trick him upon his release back in March.
But the general public opinion of him is fairly negative. He's very hard to get used to and he's one of the weaker killers right now. But even when I first started learning him I just had a blast with him. A mix between his kit and his charismatic aesthetic and personality is perfect for me.

That's not DS, she wiggled free extremely quickly because she is probably cheating.
That's a good point, I didn't think of that. Weird how she didn't do it the second time I downed her. On my way to putting her on death hook she didn't wiggle at all.

I would say the killer I go up against the least is Plague.
-
Was playing with my friend at the time she got the patch. It wouldn't let her play until she patched the game and it booted her out of the party. Then after she patched I wasn't able to play with her. It said something along the lines of "unable to find match update your game to the latest version". She's also on Xbox series X.
-
I don't really change my perk build for Trickster, but my add-on build I use that people hate the most is fizz-spin soda + iridescent photocard. Have gotten lots of dcs and/or toxic comments in end game chat because of it.
-
Probably super cliché of me to say I relate to Trickster the most given who I main. The only reason I say I relate to him the most is because as a career I'd like to be an artist and have been trying to get my name into the art field. It's been my passion for my entire life and I've never really gotten much validation to this day about my work. And it truly is a different kind of hurt when you work so hard on something and believe in something you made so much for no one to care or to say it's not good enough. So when I read Trickster's lore and saw that his "hard work" in making music he believed in was shrugged off and criticized by Mightee One I know how he felt (given he had any sort of feeling at all about it since he's a psychopath). I've been considering a career change because ofc I'm not gonna go around and meticulously murder innocent people because they don't believe in my work, but yeah it's an internal struggle that I definitely related with emotionally.
-
Ahh well I main someone who is definitely fun to play as myself but not many people like to go up against. I try to make it somewhat fun and more enjoyable by not camping/tunneling/etc but nevertheless some people will never like going up against Tricky.
-
I have before due to my friend having her bf asleep by her and her needing to be quiet or I've played with random friendly people who we didn't get on comms with.
It's a bit harder and you have to play a lot safer since it's harder to tell what's going on but still enjoyable nonetheless! :)
-
Depending on the time of day, and I'm in a long survivor/killer queue I'll either:
- Listen to music
- Scroll through Instagram
- Talk with my friends/SWF if I'm playing with them
- Watch a YouTube video
- Browse the forums here
-
Oh gosh I couldn't imagine playing Trickster at 100% sensitivity speed. I play him at the second to lowest sensitivity on my mouse because it's a lot easier to track survivors but then also allows me to move my forearm to hit any fast 360s survivors try to do.
-
My longest game was probably around 45 minutes I think? It was with a Trickster that I was being friendly with and we were on Lampkin Lane. We sat by the fireplace in one of the houses, pretended to "tango" in various places, played peek a boo and farmed. Was a very wholesome match.
-
Definitely vasto lorde Ichigo.
-
The only killer I can truly vouch for is Trickster. While his kit is technically "easy" he's a lot harder to perform well at than it leads on.
-
I've had this same thing happening to me since the grade reset back to Ash IV. When I was Iri I I was getting fair and balanced matches. Then my grade reset and it seemed like my MMR reset with it because I've been getting way more random and easy matches. I'm just now starting to see people with 1k+ hours pop back up in my lobbies again.
Also I noticed as I'm moving up in different colored grades that they try to match me with people my same color. For example I just got into bronze with survivor and now most of my lobbies are bronzes, not ash anymore. I feel like that's just more or less the rank system it was doing beforehand not my MMR.

How well do you do?🙂
Well I'm gunning to be the #1 Trickster player so I would say pretty well. In today's matches I 4k'd almost all my matches — except for one 2k and another I memed around with 2 survivors because they gave up and wanted mercy because I was gonna win the game with only 1 gen completed and let them go since they were being the cutest :)
