The event is pretty much a slap in the face to one side, theres no reason to play Survivor once you get 30 vials just play Killer.
Killers will have 30 minute queue times by the end of the weekend, gonna be a joke.
-
Always restart PS4 before you play DBD and if you go into the store.

pay 2 win by buying bloodpoints. you think having a p3 killer at rank 20 would be fair and not P2WPay to win would be if I could buy better perks than people who get them just by grinding. Which, by the way, this game already does.
How many brain cells do you have?
Keep buying bloodpoints to unlock and get better perks, derp.
Do you not understand the definition of p2win????

Console cheating is almost non existent, only lagswitching.
Not many people are willing to risk bricking their system and losing $300 or $400.

Talking about objective unbalance.
4 survivors need 110 seconds at gens to complete their gen objective.A single survivor stays 2 minutes on hook until he dies
A single person on a gen without any aid takes only 80 seconds smart guy lol
yes and 4 survivors working optimally on gens take 110 sec, to be precise it actually only takes 80+28.57=108.57 seconds
Wait can you explain where you got the 28.57? I'm missing something. And did you mean that 4 survivors working on a gen each?
yes first each survivor works solo on a gen(80), then all 4 on one (28.57)
Thats the optimal way to do it
Yeah because the Killer never chases anyone in this game....
Killer can only chase 1 person down.
So how are 4 Survivors doing generators?
The minimum time to complete is around 160 seconds, less with whatever time two Survivors doing a gen takes.

@KillJiggy True but this one seems to be a little different. Considering you can lose some of your stuff when you die and since you have to fill your own syringe with nectar it seems like you would have to do the gen yourself. It seems like the nectar is a totally seperate objective for each Survivor to do, nothing to do with generators.

Just like they did during the Howling Grounds event. Or partly during the BBQ event. I swear my eye started twitching during that event. It looks like stuff is attached to a tree or something, not a gen.

It isn't needed on console.

Heres a couple things you can do to make it run a bit better.
Power off your system before playing (don't just restart).
Don't go into the shop if you plan on playing matches (if you do power off system).
Avoid playing Trapperas Killer, he seems to degrade framerate really bad for me.
Set Killer in background to Myers, Clown, or Hillbilly.
-
Should have implemented a point reduction of the Sacrifice on the Survivor similar to the 500 safe unhook if the chase emblem degrades too much.
Killers will just use it to derank, it's not much of a deterent.
-
You weren't the last Survivor FYI.
You have a few seconds after a Survivor is sacrificed (until the sound stops).

This doesn't look like the mid-chapter patch, I think this is just the PTB for the event they put up that appears as something that will occur on the 19th of this month. It's way too soon for this to be the mid-chapter patch which would actually contain the rest of the changes I would imagine. Basically this looks like an update with changes they finished early with the event content being readily available when the update rolls out from what I can tell. I could be wrong as I have no way of verifying this but it's just simply too soon for this to be the mid chapter patch as we are supposed to get major updates roughly every 6 weeks and it's only been a little more than 2 weeks since shattered bloodlines got released. It's titled Mid Chapter 2.3 test build.
Huh?

BBQ needs the aura reading in order to give killers an incentive to leave the hook. Take that away and i guarantee you, that camping will go back to old levels.
It´s also easier to get WGLF stacks than BBQ stacks. Since BBQ needs a unhooked survivor for each stack. WGLF just requires you to get hit near a injured survivor. So you want to get another aura reading perk for survivors, because Kindred, Empathy, Bond, Alert, Dark Sense, Object of Obsession, Premonition and Spine Chill are not enough...
I agree tho, that we need more perks, addons and items that serve the sole purpose to gain more BP.
I had a reverse Distressing in mind, that reduces the terror radius perception for the survivor who has the perk equipped. Something that gimps the survivor for more BPs.All BP bonus perks/addons/items should give the bonus points post trial.
If a Killer wants to camp they're going to camp.
BBQ has nothing to do with it.
Anyone that says its easier to get WGLF stacks than BBQ stacks is just a biased Killer main that plays Survivor rarely.

A minor thing that may help is to make yourself the last one to ready up. A lot of SWF will pull a fast one and do something like all carry toolboxes and then ready so you cant tweak your build ect. If you are the last to ready you decide when it starts. Or neither of you do it and you lose anyway because there's a timer. But meh.I gave up lobby dodging in red ranks. The queue takes too long and I only dodged 3 flashlights once because I played hag.
Usually quick switchers are just toxic idiots that follow you anyway and are far less from playing optimal. I can deal with these shitheads, but when the survivors pop gens in a few minutes, theres nothing I can do> @Well_Placed_HexTotem said:The core of the game is still designed perfectly fine for high rank, what ruins it is SWF. Survivors are supposed to have 16 perks as a team, SWF gives you access to the effects many perks give you simply by being able to communicate with each other. You basically get free Bond, etc. One survivor sees your hex totem, you chase them off and engage, it’s guaranteed to be cleansed shortly after. And if you build end game strategies like Blood Warden or NOED, welp, too bad.
A majority of the ranks are fine because SWF is less of an issue.
SWF is a big part of the issue, but as marth prooved, the game is broken without voice comms too
Whats the difference then between four good Survivors with or without voice, I don't get it.
People play SWF at every Rank, not just R1.

It's been nearly 3 weeks since PTB.They delayed the pc launch so they could launch the chapter on all platforms at the same time. It takes a little while for the update to get approved for consoles and that's almost 100% what we are waiting on. (even if they won't openly admit it) So if it's already approved then we will get the update tomorrow. If it's not then it will likely be Thursday.
The new chapter is not on the Australia Playstation/Micosoft store.
Doubt it will be out tommorrow on console.
It would be pretty funny if console misses the double bloodpoint event thats supposed to make up for the first one, lol.

I think if the killer insists on a 4k, then he should slug one survivor and get the other one. If not, just let the last one go, it's not that big of a deal. This exactly. If you want a 4k, don't let the hatch open in the first place. If it does and the guy gets to it, just let him go you will still pip, probably 2 pip. It's being greedy at that point.
Why is the Killer the one being greedy? The Survivor could also just take the loss instead of going for a safety net.
See what I mean, OP? Arguments go both ways.
You actually wanna say 3 kills is " a lot" and is same as dying as survivor?
Funny guy you are
For the game to reach that stage, the Survivor team must've played poorly compared to the Killer, so why should the one fortunate enough to be the last man standing be rewarded for their failure? I don't see you advocating for a built-in insta-kill on the last Survivor if 3/4 of them have escaped.
Lol.
Perhaps you haven't seen the new perk that rewards Killers for failing????

Yea there is a stream today (pretty sure there wasn't going to be one before) Probably to address all of the frustration/etc that has come out in the last few days. Which is a good thing to do on their part.Place bets now:
Devs: "Sorry we allowed the community to believe a rumor that we did nothing to dispel, and our own community manager trolled you all instead of trying to manage the situation, we are working really hard to get the chapter out, but we commited to getting it for all platforms at the same time, and we were waiting on certification/bugfixes. We will keep you informed as soon as we have a date, but we also can't commit to date because certain factors are outside of our control."
OR
Devs: "You guys shouldn't have believed the wiki, if we havn't given a date for the chapter, there is no date for the chapter, just keep playing the game and don't worry about it, it's just a game why do you have to take things so seriously, nerds."
Nah they won't be condescending/passive aggressive in their remarks on stream. Not after the one stream where they literally said for us to "go play another game if we don't like it"
I'll beleive it when I see it, lol.

What's the reason?
Also, lvl 50 bloodwebs take around 20-50k to level through, not 100k... , that's not the release version of a bloodweb.Ok, an exaggeration i understand. But 50k bloodpoints (depending on the web) is a pain to accomplish if you don't have rituals and it's an annoyance to fill it up again and again.
It would save about 2 million points out of 11.5 million to max a Survivor/Killer to P3 all perks.

You might get 5-10 frames more on certain games sure, but if you don't have a 4k tv and don't buy 4k movies etc... what is the point?
It's a market ploy. I"m completely happy and satisfied with 1080p and blu ray.
Nothing wrong with it at all.
1080p is better than 4k on a PS4 Pro.
I've played both and there is a noticeable difference in input lag and framerate.

Hey guys, hoping someone can clear something up for me. I play on PS4 and own all DLCs.My girlfriend has recently asked if she can try to play after watching me so I made her a PS profile (on same console) and set the game up for her.
I noticed that on her menu all DLC survivors and killers are available for her to play without purchasing beforehand. Is this some sort of bug? Im not complaining, I just want to ask in case, as this is something I have no control over. Really don’t want to risk some sort of ban?
Cheers guys!
I think games and DLC's are linked to the owning profile on Playstation 4, and any other profile you create on the specific console has access to everything.
Don't worry about a ban.

The whole situation with this dlc is unprofessional at best and disrespectful to your community at worst. I get "hyping up" a game or dlc, but letting a false release date sit for 2 weeks and then beating around the bush with an actual announcement is just bad PR.There was no false release date. There was speculation and nothing more.
There was a date posted on the dbd wiki for 2 weeks. This date was based upon the schedule for clown. A company letting that sit there for 2 weeks and not giving us at least a release date today is "unprofessional at best and disrespectful to your community at worst".
The wiki is not run by the devs, and it was made very clear that it was speculative.
And I was very clear, leaving up a false date on the wiki without a plan to give a date was (say it with me) "unprofessional at best and disrespectful to your community at worst". Bonus points for having their community manager flaunting around the forums saying "soon" to all the hype posts. Maybe she isn't supposed to give us information, but then why is she increasing expectations?
Imagine if they had just said a week ago (or shoot, even 5-6 hours ago) that they have no release date yet, they would've avoided this mess.
None of the devs left a false date on the wiki because they have no control over it. You have based your argument on a faulty premise.
You run a game company and have an upcoming dlc that you know many people are excited for. You see a false release date based on your previous releases pop up on the wiki for your game and decide to NOT correct that date in any way. All the negative emotions that stem from that are directly on the devs, they allowed people to be misled when a small "release date TBA" would've stopped this entire situation. Just because they didn't put the date there doesn't mean their negligence in correcting the date was an "okay" way to handle the ordeal.
They allowed nothing. You assumed a fansite's information was an official statement from the developers - despite the fact that the fansite made it very clear the information was speculative - and are now looking for someone to blame other than yourself. You and only you are to blame for your false assumption.
Careful with the fallacies there, I assumed nothing. I knew the date was speculative, but that doesn't change the fact that it was based on release patterns and left up without any plan to correct the information. To be honest I don't even know why they are letting this happen, it is killing their hype and is going to easily lose them sales.
So you knew it was speculative and still claim the devs are at fault for your acceptance of speculation? I'm going to ignore you now lest I say something that gets me banned.
Apparently the roadmap is pure speculation...
Most are upset because for some odd reason BHVR just cannot fathom it appropriate to communicate with their community about releases.
It's mind boggling.

We discussed hitboxes plenty of time. Most of the issues are caused by lag between players.
However, hitting through the window when the players are close on the other side is intended. Then, the classic case of ''Killer swings, survivor gets the stun, survivor gets hit'', is caused by the interaction time on the pallet. Dropping the pallet and stun isn't instantaneous so it can cause the situation described. Add lag to the case and it looks even worse.
The team made the interaction with pallets faster for immobile survivors on the next patch, that might help a bit with hit registering. However, the issue will still happen as the stun delay (0.3 second) is still in.
What happened to moving the stun back to the beginning of the animation???
Too unfair to Killers with decent latency I guess??

You've waited for as much as you did because you're on console, and releasing it on console is not as simple as on steam. Blame sony/microsoft for that , or maybe even yourself for playing it on console, not the devs.
Yeah don't blame the devs for failing certification multiple times, it's not their fault.

It would help but anything more than 1,000 for an ultra rare is too much.

Personally I think the 1st and 3rd person perspectives assigned to survivor and killer should be opposite of what they are now. There are several reasons for that, one of them being I think it would be more balanced that way and at same time also much more immersive than it currently is. It will also make it more difficult for a survivor to juke and loop around, simply because the player doesn't have peripheral vision that allows him or her to know where the killer is without actually having to be looking in the killers direction. Considering it's a 4 vs. 1, it makes more logical sense to give first person perspective to the survivors than the killer, and then offer more ways for survivors to communicate, and offer more ways to deal with the killer than just hide, run, distract and bodyblock, etc. The killer should at least have the option to use 3rd person perspective, since the killer needs more map awareness, than what the survivors do. As it is currently, it actually favors the survivors as it gives the them an edge they actually don't need, if anyone needs that edge it would be the killer as it is 4 against 1.It would definitely be interesting to test it out, and see how it actually would affect how people would then play instead. I think it will have a tremendous impact on gameplay, and how immersed players will feel.
What do you people think?
-Please try to remain as objective as possible. You're right it would have a tremendous impact as in completely break the game.

You get sacrifice points (can't remember exactly how these are calculated, think it's 1,250 for someone who hasn't been hooked before), plus a flat rate of 625 just for the disconnect. The sacrifice points are something that's often forgotten about. In total, even if a survivor disconnects the first time you spot them, that's 1,875 points a piece. Total of 7,500 points if all four people do it (not counting chase points, etc.). IIRC, it was balanced around the old ranking system (waaaaaay back when the disconnect points were added), where 7,500 points would be enough to safety pip but not enough to pip. (i.e. If all four people leave, you won't be punished, but you also don't deserve to rank up just because four people left.)
In the end, slightly less than you would get from hooking them, but you also save yourself a lot of time and the game turns into a 3v1 very early on.
Thats wrong.
If all survivors DC you are left with 2,5k BP. You only get 625 for the disconnect and not more if you havent hooked them yet.I know that for sure because it is only a week ago when a SWF sabotaged my mori daily

That is also wrong- or at the very least, supposed to be wrong. The game will also award you 1,250 sacrifice points when they disconnect. Those points are awarded as they disconnect, rather than at the end with the quitter bonus.
If you didn't get those points, that'd be a bug. You are supposed to get them.
I have never received those points and trust me, during my days as doc main a lot of survivors DCed on me

Funnily enough, I played a round as doctor earlier for a daily and someone disconnected on me almost immediately. Although I actually did get the points.
It might be a bug, I'm not sure, but I get them pretty consistently.
I think theres either a set amount of time the Survivor needs to be in the match or a flat out timer that ticks down to get the 1250.
