Your problem is that you care about what survivor mains do or think. That attitude will get you nowhere fast. They are rats, you are the cat. Remember that, Simba.

Because Head On is the most offensive ability a survivor has. Of course some killers are going to retaliate.
It is no more offensive than a pallet stun, really.
-
Sprint burst with an activation button would basically become the strongest survivor perk in the game. It would easily replace dead hard, at the very least.
I feel like corrupt purge should infect people anyways, at least after you have hit them twice. Idk.
Generally speaking more control is always better and increases the skill gap. I am for it most of the time, but sprint burst would need compensation nerfs if you could use it on demand. It would basically invalidate every other exhaustion perk besides head on, I guess?

Just went against huntress hacker on the game map as well wow this game is so easy to hack apparently
It is not even about the hacking, if you ask me, it is the quality of the cheats. You can literally crash the lobby and force them to DC. If games were built like straw, stick, and brick, we would be the straw house. You don't need a big bad wolf to blow it over.
I wouldn't mind playing against invincible speed hackers if I knew that once the egc started, I could at least leave with my BP.

Hey, at least you have him almost done. Your future self with thank your past self for doing the preliminary work.

We need to drop skill based matchmaking and add tp (time played) matchmaking. This will greatly please the community as a whole.
-
The developers would be blind not to see what we see. The age of the 4k is coming to an end. They need to rework keys so that you can leave without completing any gens, I think that would balance this power dynamic and bring the fun back to survivor.
-
I like your style. The only character I have that looks super different from the default is biker Jake. No idea why they give him a bondage outfit.

Judging by my killer kill rates are high asf post sbmm. So, I wouldn't expect any balancing to go in the direction you expect.
Well, expectations are rarely, if ever, met. They already got rid of reverse pallet stuns and blocked locker flashlight saves. I expect those types of changes to continue in that direction despite Bwsted's kill rate.
-
Pinhead likes it either way, bruh. Pleasure or pain. You can't beat that.
-
Wraith and Huntress are the only ones that I feel I run into excessively.
-
As a survivor, I definitely spawn on Haunted. But yeah, as killer, I rarely see it go early. Maybe their spidey senses were tingling.
-
Around 45 minutes. I just kept slugging a survivor picking them up, hitting the gen to see how long it would take him to get the message. I usually let survivors go if someone disconnects. In this case, someone also killed themselves on hook.
After like 10 minutes, I was pretty frustrated that they weren't doing gens. But it gave me the urge to see just how long it would take to get those inept freaks to do the gens.

"noed is on ironically great on him" Yeah I already knew that but now that makes me curious what you would run for a no-holds-barred build like with noed. Bonus points of BBQ is included xD
I mean, Blood Warden is NOED's best friend, if you ask me. You do not even realistically need to stack other end game perks. Those 2 alone more than cover it.

Here's something I'm not sure about, but I've been thinking about. Let's say you have a couple bad matches. Then for example a teammate throws or you get camped repeatedly. Your mmr keeps dropping, and you continue getting survivors that throw thus your mmr keeps dropping until most of your matches end shortly. The end result is you'll constantly be matched with players who throw and you're unable match with players on your skill level due to that.
Now I don't exactly know how mmr is calculated, aside from escapes you get. Apparently how long you survive in a match is a factor.
It is called elo hell. A lot of people pretend it doesn't exist when it functionally HAS to exist unless the mmr system is perfection. Ideally if you are higher ranked you overcome it with time investment. But that is annoying if those statistical outliers tank your rating. Had that happen to me in Overwatch once and the amount of time it took me to rofl stomp my way back up was outrageous.

Then that's an issue with skill, not an issue with camping.
Kindred should help against camping.
I'm almost certain that's its purpose.
But no one runs it for some reason.
I thought the purpose was to see if a different player was going for the save so that you don't run across the map for nothing.
-
They usually spawn around the blocked gens. And the block is really long. So I guess you could get away with waiting for them to come to you, but I find they typically do totems early game once they see corrupt. So I treat it as Lethal Pursuer plus.
-
Eh, unless I am misunderstanding, this would be a nerf.
-
Lightborn. You do not even want to know what I do to flashlight users when I play a killer who doesn't have it unlocked.

I used to think this map was ok because I’ve played RE and it lets me know the map so it’s not as bad for me but overall the map is a complete disaster. It’s too big and confusing for people that haven’t played RE, pallets are either completely useless or godly, totem spawns are horrible for survivors, and how can anyone find Pig’s jigsaw boxes in this place?
Remove or rework it because it’s clearly not made for DBD. If they can’t do that because of licensing issues, you shouldn’t have added it in the first place because y’all have learned what makes a map bad in the past BHVR. Do y’all care about game health at all?
How is not finding Jigsaw boxes listed as a negative? Finally the buff Piglet deserves.

Here Freddy open this box.
Is this a trick to get Freddy's laugh removed from the game because the license holder doesn't enjoy the voicelines from the movie they are licensing out?

From what I heard, yes. People were reporting that yesterday.

Yep can't wait to Play Ghostface and Wraith during that event
But think about it, you can finally walk at full speed with Pig. No need to crouch!
But for real, I would prefer a terror radius is constantly neutral map wide during the whole event. That way my precious face of Ghost wouldn't be left out.

I get my free hook and then leave them alone unless the crows activate. During a challenge, I tunneled that sucker out, but I am a different person when going for challenges.

True, true!
But if this is really the problem, I really suggest them to remove Amanda too.
I just say two words: Miss Piggy!
BHVR really brought one of the best killers! I played him in PTB. This was my reason to buy him after that.
But, well, the voices are disabled. What a shame...
Huh? What is wrong with Amanda?

If you are just playing to have fun as killer against survivors playing to win, I expect you to come back in a casket.
And the entire point of my post is that I was pefectly fine doing this for coming up 4 years and SBMM has just given me the finger.
Well, yeah? Because the survivors you are getting are high mmr whereas the general matchmaking you were running into lots of survivors also playing for fun. But survivor mains who don't optimize their role are a little bit sus... Let's be real. Now you are getting people who play optimally. They could have 500 hours and still do the same, realistically. The issue is the role dynamic, not mmr. Killer was too broken against chill homies, and killer is too weak against esports wannabes.
I am not sure what you want me to tell you. If you just want to have some fun and feel survivor is the way to do it, go for it, man. If you dislike survivor, it is not like mmr is going anywhere. So you are screwed, fam. I am sorry.

3.4k hours is not plenty to combat the literal competitive players when I've played casually for most of, if not all of, my playtime darling
I do not care if some survivors have 3 times that somehow, the game is basic enough that after 1k, you should know what you need to know. No offense intended.
You clearly don't seem to see the issue in someone trying to play a video game casually for fun and the 6k hour competitive teams with fully stacks builds I am facing.
The inherent issue is just the design of the game. If you break it down piece by piece, it is ludicrously survivor favored. You would not magically stomp them if you had 6k hours. You would still be getting bent over.
No, but I'd have much more of a fighting chance :)
Those are two separate issues. One is measuring playtime, and the other is intent. If you are just playing to have fun as killer against survivors playing to win, I expect you to come back in a casket. Ha ha ha... That was kind of my point.

It's not as time efficient as Inner Strength. Of course the trade off being you might not always be able to fine a totem.
Finding them is rarely the issue so much as other teammates doing bones gives you less heals. And also you can't stack it. And depending on the map, lockers might be a bit harder to find.
Self care is probably more generally viable. But inner strength just has that potential that will always make it more appealing than self care, in my opinion.
-
3.4k hours is plenty, fam. Don't even think I have that many in Overwatch and I played that religiously for 5 years, rofl.

Farmer John lives up to his name. In all seriousness, that is more or less what I have been doing. I only care about BBQ stacks. There is no reason to kill anyone unless I am doing a challenge, imo. Mostly because kills are just a third hook. Hard to get excited about it.
My Pyramid Head gets a little rambunctious, however. Chop chop, chop you up, imma monster, ha ha ha!
-
The map is great... For Pig. I got to play it twice yesterday. The heads go pop pop, pop pop. But anyways, content is content, I HATE Badham so much, I do not want it disabled, though.
-
I am just using whatever was in the last battle pass. I am not super in love with it, but I am not super in love with any of them.
-
Nah, 3 solo gens would be awful. The two work on Hawkin's because both are out of the way, both are relatively safe for balanced users which are obviously the ones who should be soloing those, ideally. And in the case of the isolation room, it is a freaking locker room, barely even worth protecting that one unless you are a stealth killer or Nurse, imo. Beyond that, the other solo gen has like a one in 3 chance of spawning anyways.
I digress, my point is that 3 solo gens on normal maps is crazy. Most survivors are not efficient enough for this change to be "fair."
-
Yeah, the Lery's thing I will never understand. That is my favorite map as a survivor because with one million vaults, even I can run a killer for multiple gens. Hate it as a killer. Hate!

@Johnny_XMan said:
The survivor meta doesn’t include anything outside of perks, killer does.
Camping and Tunneling are two things that are only countered if you bring perks. So while I am critical of those who bring DS/UB/BT I also don’t blame them because those two actions have become a part of a killer’s kit. Meaning they are ALWAYS available, and there is 0 way to tell when someone is going to do it.
Only thing I could think of is items but even then the killer sees that and plans ahead. You can’t do that as survivor. Unless you just assume everyone is going to opt for that playstyle.
When I play killer I see a lot of DS/UB and barely if ever get stunned with DS because I choose to instead go for more fun builds, where it will push survivors to rely on more of their skill and less on creating a situation where they will cheese a strategy through those perks.
Did you seriously just say you never get hit with DS because you do not get hooks fast enough? Lol.
I do envy you, though.

I feel like they keep giving me certain maps as certain killers, that's for damn sure. My pattern recognition goes crazy from playing this game.

I am vehemently against nerfing garbage killers.

@TacitusKilgore said:
Presumably not. Theres ample evidence from posts here and heresay elsewhere that even if you lose consistently, your MMR will not decrease. If even losing does not decrease it, it is highly unlikely it decays over time.
Ample is a strong word for anecdotal evidence that defies logic and reasoning. I do not trust a lot of the extremists here who think they have high mmr just because they are getting smacked. Or that they lost "40 in a row" as the same killer. With these queues? Yeah right.
-
@wxnickxw said:
I don't really know if Unbreakable should be considered 2nd chance. If the killer can't be bothered to get you on the hook after you've been down that long it stops feeling like a second chance perk.
Any more than getting unhooked or having someone heal you from the dieing state normally is second chance anyway
It is like 20 seconds. If you have a whole team down and the first guy you put into dying state gets up and revives the person you aren't putting on hook, that is about as second chance as it gets. Way more so than most of the perks people allude to as second chances.

Otz isn't as good on Survivor as he is killer, that is why he is commonly known as a Killer Main. Plus the vast majority of his content is as produced from playing killer. Tofu I've only seen people refer to as mainly playing survivor (Spoiler because he has said he finds killer too boring).
Well, now it is because "it is miserable." But yeah, before it was because it was boring.

Killer mains are so completely and utterly sophisticated. Not to mention humble. What would those peasant survivors do without us, the arbiters of fun? We are truly... a cut above the rest.

I've started to develop a love and appreciation for Lightborn. It's great because 9/10 times the survivors never expect it. It's even better when I toss Starstruck in combination with it. Legit I had some salty survivors call me a trash killer for rocking Lightborn actually 🤣 I couldn't help but laugh.
I pretend that I don't have it, like I drastically spin away, face walls when picking up, camp bodies pretending that I am afraid of a save. And then when they need it most, Hello Zep starts playing in the background and I get so much value they might as well rename it "value, the perk."
