Just practice against a real killer. It is easy enough to just do what your average survivor does when on my team... Absolutely nothing, and wait for the moment to strike. Aim it at their ears and you still might get the stun with a pinch of luck.

The only way you're getting a true side blind is if the killer has shadowborn

You seem to be ignoring the fact that using a COH boon gives your 3 other team mates a free 5th perk of being able to heal themselves infinitely. They can also group heal at lightning speeds so injuring has no pressure at all as they can just undo your work in seconds.

Of course if someone wastes a lot of time re-blessing totems over and over then it is a detriment but there are plenty of other locations that are not convenient for the killer to deal with it (please see post with map example)

Yea but you're missing the whole point, why would you spend all that time resetting? It's literally there just to make you feel safe resetting when you should be focused on escaping in no scenario is healing gonna help you survive faster than rushing gens, you're trading health states for map safety at that point because while you're healing someone is occupying the killer , and the only scenario where two survivors are gonna heal you at once is in endgame or if you're swf telling them to come heal you in which they have to sacrifice gens in order to make it happen it's ok if we disagree you're entitled to your opinion COH isn't a bad perk but in my opinion only bad survivors use it because they aren't good enough at chases to stay injured while focusing gens.

  • @Yankus said:

This thread makes it so easy to see the survivors who have never played killer

Why just because someone disagrees with you? I have played killer since day one on this game and I don't agree that circle of healing is broken, I personally as a killer feel like gen speeds and survivors splitting on gens is way more broken than a perk that stalls the game every time you use it , you literally can't put it into play even without stalling, the whole reason they created circle of healing was to make survivors feel safe to heal because all the top tier players were genrushing with adrenaline and until they fix gen speeds or add a real objective gen speeds are always gonna be the most OP thing a survivor has in their favor

  • @foxsansbox said:

I think the only argument that could be made about COH that favors the killer is when COH exists survivors are more comfortable healing instead of gen-rushing. This creates a longer game and gives the killer more time to snowball.

But let's not forget WHY they feel more comfortable healing instead of gen-rushing. It's because the perk is so damn safe to use that the cost/benefit analysis is easy enough for a potato to do. This is why in lower ranks COH causes more survivor losses, but once you get survivors that understand looping, immersion, and map pressure COH allows them to dismantle all killer strats except tunneling.

But a good survivor won't waste time by looking for a totem, blessing , then healing that all together will actually take you longer than self care , once a boon is up sure it can save time for bad survivors who always reset anyway but for a good survivor it's pretty useless unless you've got a endgame camping situation and need to reset fast, the gens can be done in less than five minutes and before someone says "but that's not fun!" And holding the exact same button in a different situation is? At least the gens get you out alive and don't drag out the match longer , it's literally impossible to use COH and have faster games than survivors who genrush without worrying about healing.

  • @Alphasoul05 said:

The problem is people think that the time it takes to find a totem/put down a Boon, even it's multiple times, justifies the pressure the killer loses from it existing. Spoiler alert: It doesn't, and that's why people say it's too strong.

The perk literally stalls the game and gives the killer a hand because people who are bad in chase keep resetting and good survivors don't run COH they don't have to it's literally a time staller that takes what would've been a 5 minute match into a 10 minute match , sure it's aggravating as a killer when you get people that play that way but it doesn't benefit them it benefits you by giving more time to catch them, COH is a good perk for a bad survivor who is scared to be injured on a gen , good survivors will run perks like iron will dead hard adrenaline and resilience/spine chill and they will just gen rush you to adrenaline they for sure aren't gonna hunt for a totem and waste time blessing and healing before they focus gens

This does such a great job at highlighting the issue - sure it only takes a second for the actual stomping out of the boon but how long to get there and how much pressure is lost doing so? Why would any killer follow a survivor to a pointless part of the map, let alone a totem?

The problem with your logic as a whole is that you're acting like healing as much as you want is fine and it's not, to put the boon up and heal takes the exact same amount of time as self caring and if it stays up and people feel safe resetting you waste more time healing than if you just ran adrenaline and gen rushed, good survivors don't run COH because they're good enough in a chase to not need the reset and they know that healing is a waste of time. I'm not saying circle of healing is weak but it's absolutely overrated and good survivors don't even need it to end the match faster.

I still don't understand profit maximization for the sake of profit maximization.

Money is symbolic of Human Work hours.

A stack of it is worthless if not used.

They are using it to acquire licenses and if I were to guess the rest I would say at this point they're probably planning ahead for the next game in line it's been almost 6 years of DBD and sadly this won't go on forever.

  • They aren't lazy they just drag things out, it's a business so they're trying to maximize profit

  • The game is actually pretty balanced even though that's unpopular to say on here, there are top tier killers meant to be used for facing the death squads who give you a chance at killing even the best survivors, meanwhile there are lower tier killers who stand no chance at high level but people enjoy playing them and that's where alot of complaints come from due to the fact they felt helpless trying to win against optimal survivors using wraith, legion or clown for example, but the way they matchmake is what makes the game feel unbalanced when you're a new survivor facing a killer with thousands of hours or vice versa, there are alot of people who are terrible at the game on both sides which there's nothing wrong with that but if you're one of those that aren't very good then this game can seem impossible for either side when matched with the right opponent, right now it's the best it's ever been for killers even though alot of people won't admit that, survivor has been nerfed quite a bit over the years but as long as gen speeds remain the way they are then survivors will always feel strong to those who play killers who can't physically get to gens fast enough or end chases fast enough.

  • @Mackavelly said:

I'm so fed up with these servers, randomly get disconnected from the servers in the middle of games and now I'm stuck with a 24 hour matchmaking ban. This is honestly not fair, is there anyway I can contest this ban? Something needs to be done about this.

FYI - I'm playing on console

Are you on wifi or wired in? Sounds like an internet provider issue, any storms, snow or bad weather in your area? This is most likely the culprit if so and I would recommend playing hard wired in if you aren't already

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

I wonder if you can DH around the corner, because if not then you know you can only dash forward requiring you to position yourself in the correct spot.

No you can't, in the ptb you could but it was adjusted before release to live servers

  • Dead hard may feel like a second chance perk but it's really not so much, not saying it's weak by any means but whenever you're in a situation where they use it to get to a pallet or window that's not making a mistake it's calculated because they knew they could get an extra loop out of a tile with dead hard, I see dead hard as a tile preserver because it gives you the ability to have maximum efficiency at one tile without having to continue running and gaining distance so you're preserving other tiles by making one tile last longer than it should, a good example of a second chance perk would be unbreakable or DS , something like it where you DID get outplayed and get a free escape even though in order for the perk to activate you had to get caught by the killer

And maybe teabgging and clicking flashlights is just as fun to them as a killer being a ashat and camping and tunneling. If my friend is telling a killer to harm himself or things like that yes I would say something. I just ignore the survivors who do those things because I know they want my attention. I go after someone else.

Tbagging and flashlight clicking are fine I do it too occasionally, but if you're gonna play that way then if they decide to give that back you can't be mad and it definitely doesn't give you the right to curse them out and insult them because you were unable to troll successfully or bully the killer, nothing in game is toxic it's the endgame chat where people want to rage on the person they lost to that's a problem, they complain about getting camped and hit on hook but want to ignore everything they did to earn that treatment

  • @nicnc82 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2729209#Comment_2729209

I never stop a friend off for trash talking a killer who camped and tunneled. Being a killer main, I know there are better ways to get kills. Sometimes I won't rescue a random who had done nothing all game but chase the killer around clicking their flashlight. But I don't care if they bodyblock the killer

Why should you be okay with insulting someone just playing to have fun? I mean if you're going to be toxic then you can expect that behavior back, don't dish something out you aren't prepared to deal with yourself, nobody deserves to be insulted for trying to have fun and relieve stress in a game.

It just blows me away that they listen the complainers and remove bubba's mask when the wasn't even that many but yet the general majority agree deathslinger needs reverts and he's left untouched

Im convinced they just want to kill the game and move on to a new project, soon enough bots will get added and this game will officially die, people can show steam charts all they want of the player base but that doesn't change that veterans are leaving and new players don't want to invest in the money or the grind to stick around long term this is just a slow sinking ship at the moment, I've literally got damn near 11,000 hours in this game and me and many others like me have been leaving the game in waves , I've probably played 2-3 times in the last two weeks for only like a hour and it still feels boring to me I really think it's time for me to hang it up and move on , too many crybabies getting catered to in this new era of DBD

  • @Laluzi said:

I am deeply unimpressed by part 2. Many of the perk changes don't address the fundamental issues with those perks (Furtive Chase, Buckle Up, Remember Me, Distortion) and therefore didn't make them worthwhile. There was no Legion or Ghostface rework. And I'm pissed about the removal of all the Bubba masks because a tiny minority of players were complaining about them.

Yea this game is dying it's starting to fold to sensitive people even though it's a slasher game where you kill your opponents, It has nothing to do with the bubba masks for me it's just getting to a point where everything is complained about because the main problems have for the most part been addressed and now people have to dig deep to find something to ######### about it's annoying to play the game because most people are sore losers with only a few that are genuinely nice and fun to play with , just yesterday I was playing survivor and one of the other survivors who was trying to be toxic clicking and tbagging, hiding inside shack and immediately wasting god pallet on the killer who was oblivious he was even there ,got camped and then insulted the killer in the endgame chat I stuck up for the killer and told them not to be a twat if they didn't want someone to be one back and then I got insulted by him and his friend for not backing them up while they cursed a killer out for playing a damn video game it's just getting stupid these days the fun is gone for me, I love trolling as much as the next but I don't get salty when I lose because I knew the consequences if I was caught and it's just a game.

  • Not every team is a death squad so I disagree with this suggestion, I'd rather get a reward of extra blood points for facing a swf, in the endgame it should reveal who was a team and then base the bonus off of a percentage, solos who know what they're doing are better than some of the 4 man squads out there it's pretty mind boggling how bad people are at this game on both sides almost 6 years into the game

  • Camping isn't as big of a deal as everyone likes to make it out to be, I mean if you're being basement camped survivors just need to do gens and leave, don't get me wrong it's fun to go for saves even in those scenarios but if you don't succeed you can't really be mad because you knew the risks going into the situation, people should really quit treating this game like it's skillful when it's really a braindead game with braindead mechanics it's literally a game for casuals and if you find yourself upset then you're part of the problem because this is a party game to sit back on your off days and enjoy not the dead by daylight official eSports tournament to win a million dollars which there isn't a official tournament because it's not intended to be that type of game, we only get to see streamer tournaments with their rules.

For this, it's shown more by survivors trying to stroke their egos while not realizing or just being flat out ignorant that this game is more survivor-sided than killer-sided. While the things you mentioned for killer perks are true tell me this how many times have you had a killer act like hot ######### while using/being carried by noed and such compared to survivors acting like hot ######### while using/ being carried by the meta perks. Honestly, IMO if there is any game modes that should be added there should be a no perk version of the game so there are no crutches, no gimmicks and no broken saves/bullshit.

My point is it doesn't matter what perks they run, who gives a #########? Not me I can tell you that much for sure, it doesn't matter what side you are when you play or if you play equally if you complain 24/7 about anything and everything you're the problem here not the killer running Noed or the survivor running dead hard. I got Hacked for slugging at 4 gens with nurse and kicked off the game for a week just recently so I play killer I know how people are and not everyone who plays is a complainer but I'm telling you they don't make enough tissues to soak up the tears from people constantly crying and complaining about this game.

if a killer literally camps the first person, anything above a 1k is the survivors’ fault. Camping is not the same thing and does not have the same impact as survivors running dh, decisive, bt, iron will, unbreakable, adrenaline etc and playing a crap map offering like Haddonfield/Badham/Red Forest/Game etc because doing so actually wildly skews the match in the survivors’ favor.

Actually that's untrue because It really depends on what killer you are, if you play a lower tier killer and you know your MMR is high then that's on you if you lose for choosing to handicap yourself, not only that but camping (which I honestly don't mind) will grant you more than one kill almost every time because I can't control how my trash solo teammates decide to play that situation, my point was that it doesn't matter what either side is running people should be able to play how they want without hearing excuses about Noed or dead hard or any of that junk because that's exactly what it is , a bunch of crying because whoever lost isn't as good as they thought they were and made mistakes to get themselves there, the perks are meant to be used to have fun not to shame someone for running a perk and doing well with it, there's always an excuse for these people

Well, first of all, make an actual system that punishes the behavior like most PVP games second no I don't, not the game or the people but ignoring it makes it worse cause it grows and grows. Why do you think that some people who see streamers play dbd and act in the most inappropriate way are allowed to continue to be that way unless a third party intervenes? Not BHVR, not the game but something outside of both has to do it which is a bad way of running things

Most PvP games don't have anything in place for in game BM, I could get you in Halo infinite and have my entire team tbagging and hitting your dead body and it's not reportable at all, most games don't have such a soft player base that cries about anything and everything, the only true toxic thing in any game is the chat because people say some very ######### things or threaten you for literally nothing, in fact they need to get it over with and just give both survivors and killers a middle finger emote, I know I'd pay for it if it ever came to be in the game.

  • @SOULWARRIOR71K said:

This is the first game I’ve ever played where one side of the community (survivor mains) tell the other side of the community (killer mains) that they should just be playing to have “fun” while at the same time they are always trying to win (escape). As a killer main, I wholeheartedly reject this notion. I play killer because I want kills. As such, I pay no mind to the survivor rule book. I play however I want to and I 3k/4k the majority of the time. Do I get destroyed sometimes? Of course. But I accept that I can’t win them all nor can I control how survivors decide to play. There’s only 3 possible outcomes for a match 1. Tough back and forth 2. Stomp 3. Get stomped.

I agree with everything you said except how you're saying it's just survivors, let's not pretend killers don't give survivors ######### for the perks they run or the map they play, ANYONE should be able to run whatever they want without getting trashed on just for having fun, I don't care if I'm playing end game nurse behind the gates with blood warden, insidious, Noed and kill everyone while nodding at the end, it shouldn't matter how I play or what I play because it's just a game and as long as you're having fun that's all that counts

If I get steamrolled I don't care either, that's why I said "Don't act out of anger".

But this guy clearly understood that he went to far and regretted that he and his team dominated a new Killler.

I feel bad if I play with my swf and we get a new Killer, it's called Empathy. Either side consists of human players.

Also, you kind of misunderstood what I were saying. I didn't say you should take it to heart if someone is toxic towards you in a video game, I said you shouldn't act out of anger, because this makes everything just worse.

I know you didn't say that that's not how i meant it to come off, I'll be honest though in video games I show zero empathy to the other side unless I'm a killer and I've got everyone slugged at 5 gens and feel like they're baby survivors, but I was just kinda ranting because I've noticed alot of people treating this game as if it's real life and they get super salty or just plain upset for nothing , I just came back to the game because I was hacked for killing a swf and wasn't able to load up dbd for a week(can't use the term to what actually happened or this thread will get closed for some reason) and to me taking a game that far is just absurd people need to start shunning these people who get so upset over the game for little to nothing, at the end of the day my point is people should be able to play however they want without getting ######### on for it as long as they're having fun, people should learn to have fun even when losing it's really not so hard to have that mindset.

  • @AngyKiller said:

I heard this just yesterday or so.

It's this mindset from Survivors that Killers are toxic if they play to win. Or toxic they don't let the last Survivor go.

It's this mindset that Killers are supposed to think of Survivor fun, and play accordingly.

It's this mindset that Killers are to be shamed (called 'sweaty' and, of course 'toxic') if they don't put Survivors, THEIR OPPONENTS, first.

But you know what? It never works in reverse. I've never seen someone say 'You don't NEED a 4E!'.

I've never seen Survivors give the Killer a kill if they're all going to escape.

I've never seen Survivors shamed for playing for a 4E, or not thinking of Killers feelings.

It's a BS double-standard that underlies a large part of the community: That Killers are responsible for Survivor fun. That Killers can try 'too hard'. That Killers are supposed to give up Kills (and thus BP), because Survivors demand it.

You can see it in anti-camping threads; Whatever valid points there are, there is ALSO this reasoning of 'This person is being removed from the game, and that's unfair'. Except...The Killer's whole goal is to remove people from the game? That's the risk in a PvP game with no respawning?

This is the ONLY PvP game I've ever seen where people say it's unfair if they lose too fast.

You don't see people in a battle royale saying 'I died too fast because everyone found a gun first! So unfair! The last people to find guns should be immune to damage so they can have fun!'

Now, I'm not saying camping is not an issue. I'm saying that one line of reasoning is flawed, and based on this double-standard thought of 'Killers are being mean/unfair if they do their goal before I want to lose'.

Let me run over a few matches that show just why I'm very nearly burned out with this game and this double-standard. These are games I have actually had:

    Example 1:

I try to 3 hook everyone. Hell, I don't really try to kill so much as I just play to have fun and get BP.

Survivors twerk at pallets. Clicky-click flashlights. Twerk at the exit gates.

End game chat: GGEZ noob! You suck! Baby killer! Uninstall scrub!

    Example 2 (Before Hatch changes):

I play to 2 hook people. Turns out; 2 Solo's and a 2-man SWF. SWF does not save solos. Solos die pretty quick.

I hook 1 of the SWF. His buddy says 'I found hatch.' SWF 1 dies on hook ASAP while I'm looking for SWF 2, just jumps into hatch the picosecond it opens.

SWF 1 & 2: Noob scrub! Could not get a 4K! Why are you playing?

Me: You only got away due to sitting on the hatch.

SWF 2: So? That's because you suck! Uninstall, scrub!

    Example 3:

I just try to kill. Not facecamping, but I stay near a hook if I know someone is nearby. I'm not giving any quarter. I get a 4K.

Survivors: Freaking sweat harder! We got 2 gens done! Scrub! Ever hear of giving hatch!? I was not struggling because I expected you to carry me to the hatch! Sweatlord!

It's this raging flood of toxicity. Try too little? Insults. Try too hard? Insults, coupled with this feeling of being entitled to an escape because 'something, something, fair play'.

But that fair play only goes one direction. And gets treated like a golden rule.

Many Survivors EXPECT this preferential treatment, and combust if they don't get it. Hell, I was playing in an SWF with a friend once, and we were insulting each other if we got hit, and even lying about where the Killer was to prank each other. We were not trying, at all.

My friend STILL exploded when he was the last kill, and the Killer did not give him hatch. Not in chat; he just started swearing over the mic. It was just built into him to expect it. I don't think it ever occurred to him that he would NOT get the hatch. Like, he seemed to think it was his reward for being the last Survivor.

I guess, what my point is (I'm bad at communicating), is that there's this flood of toxic thought in this game. And yes; it goes both ways. I'm not saying it does not. I'm not saying it's this 'us vs them' problem.

But it's compounded with this almost casual idea baked into many people now that Killers are supposed to cater to Survivors:

Don't kill too fast; that's not fair!

    Don't camp; that's mean!

    Be a good sport & don't go for that 4K; that's being a tryhard!

Don't play Killers we think are OP/toxic! (Known on the forums as 'I Disconnect when I see <x Killer>')

    It's never:

Stop popping gens; the Killer only has 1 hook!

    Don't 4E; that's being a tryhard!

    Don't bring 16 meta perks; that's mean!

Sometimes, I want to just tell my friends that I'd rather stick toothpicks under my fingernails instead of play anymore. The toxicity just eats away at any goodwill either side attempts.

How in the world do you handle other games with toxicity? This game doesn't hold a candle to games like Halo and call of duty, in Halo infinite I can shoot and then while you're respawning be over there teabagging and hitting your dead body while trashing you in the built in voice chat, but dbd the worst you can get is people who aren't physically speaking to you tbagging in front of you that you CAN do something about or they can facecamp and hit you on the hook while nodding I mean that's about as bad as it gets outside of the endgame chat, this game really isn't all that bad about toxicity people are just more sensitive these days and can't handle losing or being BM'd and to respond more direct to what you're talking about anyone who feels they should win every match in dominating fashion is the problem people expect their opponent to not try and that's an issue

  • @MrDardon said:

He feels sorry because they dominated a new Killer with Tier 1 Perks. He feels bad for that guy.

That's why you should never act out of anger, you might hurt (or in this game ruin someones experience) who didn't deserve it. Just swallow it and move on.

Who really cares though? If someone can't handle losing a game then they shouldn't be playing it, I can get BM'd the whole game and I'd just laugh because I don't really care, the real issue is people allowing a video game to dictate their feelings and treating it like someone disrespected them in real life, if someone can't laugh and have fun even when they're losing no matter which side they play then that's a personal problem not a problem with in game behavior, nobody should care how the other side feels.

I want at least 1 PC player on my team.

    Sorry, but, it's true.

Coming from a PC player, I've seen plenty of people on steam that are absolutely trash at the game, some are good and some aren't the platform doesn't make the player, from what I can tell all platforms generally have the good and the bad, I won't deny the advantage keyboard and mouse gives once you've mastered it but it's only noticable on the killer side and it isn't really enough to claim one is better than the other, it just means like a few killers perform better on PC than they would console

  • @YOURFRIEND said:

Hello, I was just thinking about the bizzare and patchy situation concerning crossplay and realized something.

Every player, on every platform has a unique number BHVR assigns to that account. It's how they keep track of unlocks, cosmetics, etc. This number correlates to the pertinent data on their servers. Why precisely can it not be used as a universal login? I don't understand. The information is there, you'd think after registering it via email it could be used as a login across platforms. Somewhat bizzare.

Because the console manufacturers won't allow it other than the switch as far as I know and even that's not active yet, they don't want you to switch because it makes you leave their platform if you choose, let's say you buy all the dlcs on Sony and want to switch to Xbox, Sony doesn't want you leaving their platform and Microsoft wants the money for those dlcs you bought to have their chunk of the change because they get a cut for everything sold in their store, so if you just hop over and pick right up where you left off they're missing the sale of the game plus dlcs, but that's just my guess and it could be something unrelated but as far as I know it's due to the console manufacturers not wanting it to happen or at least that the answer we received when it was asked before , the rest about why is just my speculation that I feel makes the most sense

As long as the likeness is there then they have a valid suit. The Imposter, Banshee, and Vampire are their biggest issues. City of Heroes was sued a long time ago because people were making costumes that looked similar to Marvel and DC heroes. The right Judge or the right lawyers can make the world of difference.

Maybe, but the characters you're speaking about have enough differences in the character model to not hold up but I mean it's probably not impossible to get a suit going I just don't see it succeeding, example Akasha the vampire looks like she would fit right into resident evil village but doesn't look like any of the characters it's like a character that could've been added but wasn't, the banshee looks like the nun from conjuring but not exactly and a killer nun can't be copyrighted as a whole, the imposter I'll admit I haven't heard anything on and I don't know what he's a copy from I'm sure if I went digging I could find a similar character

One thing I wish dbd would've taken from propnight is the killers having 3 different abilities tied to them, it makes things more interesting in my opinion when playing as the killer, maybe I'm just a little burnt out on DBD and something like this is exactly what I need just a non serious game where people aren't upset 24/7 win or lose

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

Those games have to establish themselves first, in order to become "competition" and even then they don't have any licensed killers/characters and that is one thing DBD will always have over them.

It's not impossible for them to get licenses, I'm not saying these games are better than dbd, I'm just saying that they're fun to play and if they continue to grow would it compete with dbd due to the game basically being the same for 5 years with backlash on about everything they do, I love dbd and I've put over 10,000 hours in this game alot of people may see this as me shitting on DBD but that's not the case

  • @I_am_Negan said:

Propnight is the kiddie version of DBD😂

That doesn't make it any less fun though and alot of people around here have forgotten what that is, a game doesn't have to be a super serious game to be fun but maybe that's just me

Hmmm...so you got into the Closed VHS beta, even though they did not send out a new wave of keys? Because other than that you cannot play the game.

I was in on the last wave of keys I've been playing here and there but not religiously

I wasn't referring to actual ongoing lawsuits, because I don't know if there are any. I meant that they are inevitable.

There are small differences that will make those lawsuits thrown out lol in fact now that it's been mentioned a few times this thread shows up on the first page of Google near the bottom, I doubt they will be sued successfully or that a company could even get a lawyer to take the case without something more concrete to go off of because everything as a whole makes it different kinda like how fear street pretty much stole the Jason concept for the summer camp episode

  • @Bwsted said:

Propnight is getting sued into oblivion. It's also a buggy exploity mess and a griefer's heaven.

Vhs doesn't really play like dbd. I'd say it's actually very shallow imho. Maybe it'll get more interesting after the beta.

Post a link for the lawsuit then, I have a feeling that's just a rumor going around

Well, I'm not 14 anymore, and even when I was 14, fart sounds weren't my definition of fun. And a chat is pretty disturbing to me. I was playing a game with a chat, it was terrible. People were insulting each others, and I've been harassed for being a girl.

I don't think Propnight can convince me. But I'm glad for you if you like it. It's cool to have different games from the same sort.

Well I'm in my 40s and I can see the humor in it even if it's not something I would find funny outside of the game, dbd is no different with the endgame chat being far worse than anything I've heard so far playing those games, I just wish the community was as positive here as the ones in those communities sure every community has bad apples but dbd is constantly a big cryfest these days

  • @CashelP14 said:

It's good to hear your enjoying these games 👍 but I don't think anyone will really believe these games will compete with dbd.

Dbd will never have a true competitor unless a AAA company tries to create their own asymmetrical horror game with a few big licences in their starting roster.

Maybe you're right but I guess as the other games grow they still have a chance at least, I just feel like dbd is going downhill

  • @TheMadCat said:

I've been watching someone playing Propnight a couple of weeks ago. They were spamming a fart sound. Like. What the heck, you can play a fart sound? Not truly what I'm looking for, I stopped watching it and never had the desire to play it since.

VHS sounds fun but I don't like the graphics. I have nothing against cartoonish style but the animations didn't get me in.

You can use numerous things like calling out you're in a chase and what not, but the far sound is there to be funny if you're in a prop and the killer is nearby they can hear it if you do that, or when you get chaired people will call for help or spam the fart if no one is going for them, also there's open chat so everyone can hear everyone talking unless you're in a discord chat or muted, the killer can hear you talk so you can't just call out where you're at and what you're doing.

  • I'm surprised dbd hasn't said anything over the rabbit with a chainsaw, the chainsaw mechanic is a rip off of the hillbilly, dude looks like a FNAF character

It's over basically ripping characters/likenesses off.

I don't think there is any info on it yet. It's just what I've been told from someone who gives me early DBD release info and is familiar with the situation with prop night.

I can see that in a couple of characters but they aren't exact and the powers don't match what the actual character is I'd say they'll have a hard time actually winning that

Probably how they did the banshee. That thing is almost skin cell for skin cell Valak from the conjuring

Well, I have yet to find anything about a lawsuit or issue, could you post a link?

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

God I wish I found VHS as fun as everyone else does because that game made me genuinely want to never touch it again.

You should try propnight it's a load of fun, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time, it's literally a less serious dbd where both sides I feel are pretty strong, I've never seen people be so happy about dying or not getting a 4k

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/302059/dbd-finally-has-some-competition

No. VHS won't touch it..And prop night has legal issues/being sued already

Really? Why are they being sued? I just looked it up and there isn't a single bit of info about a lawsuit, post a link please

  • @Marc_123 said:

Just announced - every killer weapon is being replaced with cotton balls!!

So survs can be happy - no more slugging or hooking or camping ever.

...so any suggestions about what to complain now?

Whats this about? is there some new change coming that punishes camping and slugging? This may just be a joke thread but I haven't been keeping up with the news on this game so I'm unsure, I've been having fun with VHS and propnight as of recently

But even you calling it a trash perk clearly wants to start more Drama or part of the group's that wants to alter anyone's viewing of it and make them stop using it.....

What? I don't care what you use as a perk that's not my concern, clearly you're part of the drama , people are free to use whatever the hell they want to use and I could care less because that's what makes the game fun it would be boring if people ran the same exact build every game because they didn't want to offend anyone

  • @VikingDragonXii said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2711804#Comment_2711804

Karu I have seen a few survivors say it's too Op and shouldn't negate the weakest item survivors have......how a item that completely blinds the killer and forces him to drop a survivor is considered weak boggles my mind.

There isn't a single thread about lightborn being OP on the front page I haven't heard anyone complain about it in a long time in a thread unless they were clearly a troll seeking a reaction, everyone knows that perk is trash people are really grasping at straws to keep drama going these days

  • Who cares? It's not a broken perk and flashlights aren't broken either they're easily avoided, these days people are complaining just to be complaining about anything and everything, anytime someone loses a match the Morton Express comes into the station with a lifetime supply of salt and empty excuses.

  • @eloise said:

I mean when you play against survivor or killer toxic for you, you juste block him and you will never play with him in is team or in killer

You can't do that because then people would just block players better than them and make ranking + MMR useless

You have 1 post. The fact that this is how you felt you needed to introduce yourself to the forums is very telling.

Someone once suggested a minimum number of posts before you can start a discussion and I'm starting to agree with them I don't remember who it was though.

Everyone would be salty and entiteld, yet the game would be perfectly balanced, as all things should be. Some great things need great sacrifices.

People are already salty and entitled so that really wouldn't matter but I'd be willing to bet the game dies if they make some drastic changes that don't go over well at this point, this game I predict will be gone in 2-3 years regardless, by then it would be 8 years old and plenty of new titles will release between now and then, you can only play cat mouse for so long before it gets old and holding m1 got old already years ago survivor is only fun with friends otherwise I'm just bored win or lose because it's the same thing over and over again

I've played since the Resident Evil chapter. I think my playstyle just doesn't click with them

Ahh ok, I know it's rough but I wouldn't give up on some of them you're still fresh to the game, when I first started playing nurse I got bullied extremely hard but about 3 months into it the tides started to massively turn in my favor, the hazing you receive for trying to learn some of those killers can completely discourage you from trying to pick them up again but once you get used to it you'll know because survivors will start using the excuses "well if you weren't that killer" or "######### that killer replay us in KYF with someone else"
