  • Just out of curiosity how long have you been playing? I'm a little surprised at some of the ones you get destroyed with, is it just due to never playing them? Or you have tried playing them more than a few times and just didn't click with it?

  • @JacksonWise said:

If they refuse to do the last gen, that may be reportable as taking the game hostage. Not 100% sure though. You may be forced to DC in that situation.

Unfortunately it's not reportable because the game can still end if they're killed, you can be reported for going afk but I doubt anything would come from it in that situation

  • They just need to add bots for people that concede, that way nobody feels robbed of BP or pip, I know the mobile game is a different team but how crazy is it that in less than two years they've already implemented it for their version along with events that are constantly going on about every weekend getting double points, it just doesn't feel right that we've paid all this money to pretty much get told to ######### off when inquiring about replacement bots or events more often.

  • I got burned when I first started, if you're in a area where someone is being chased and she starts to leave with a long drawn out blink you can burn her while she charges the blink but against a good nurse it's highly unlikely that you're getting a burn in any circumstance

  • It sounds to me like spectating may have bugged out I don't think even if they had it set that way that you would be able to see it

    Survivors are lazy

When the killer doesn't want to be an animator for them and just kills, they immediately run to the forum to complain

The devs give them another killer nerf

After that, the survivors play even worse.

The child begins to kill them

After that, they go to the forum, whine, and they are given totems

    Somebody call the WAHmbulance

  • Honestly it should be a free game with all the bullshit you have to pay for in this game I mean I've probably sunk about 400 dollars into it with all the dlcs and some cosmetics I've bought and that's just too steep for a game with as many bugs as this one has don't get me wrong I love this game but if we're gonna keep having these garbage 10-15 dollar outfits why shouldn't the game be free? Id be afraid to add up the dollar amount if someone actually purchased every single cosmetic+ dlcs in the game

  • I have fun playing killer, I only play survivor if my friends are on but I enjoy trying out random builds and switching between killers every few games it keeps things fresh and I don't feel burnt because I'm not doing the same thing every game.

  • Survivors decide to troll in snowmen instead of do gens and people want to cry about it but if the snowmen weren't there they would be complaining about something else the ones who complain are always gonna complain I've come to terms with that and after 5 years it still stands true , you could start one survivor on a hook and they would still find something to ######### about and say the games broken, at what point do people pull their pants up and take responsibility and admit they didn't play well or could've done something different? My guess is it will never happen with this community

Can you name a recent update that didn't buff survivors? Even when they don't make any balance changes they still find a way to give killers the middle finger.

Oh and don't give BHVR any ideas with that joke about survivors.

Every update has nerfs and some sort of buff for both sides if you want to see a broken game go back to patch 1.0 and look at the bullshit we had to deal with, the stuff everyone complains about can't hold a candle to what was there before, the only thing broken about this game is gen speeds everything else is pretty fair unless you're a killer that's low on the totem pole like the wraith playing against red rank high MMR survivors, the main issue causing this in my opinion is that survivors spawn all separately and right in front of a gen so the killer has less than a minute to find and down the first survivor. That's why killers like nurse, blight, spirit are so popular in high ranks because they have the skillset to compete with the genrushing swf and gain pressure before the gens start popping.

  • I never run hexes but I think they should be uncleanse-able until the first generator has popped or at least make them spawn as close to where the killer spawns as possible instead of being within 8 meters of the survivor spawn

  • @Brimp said:

Yes, didn't you know Z-walls is the best loop in the game?!??!

Lmao don't do them like that, you're gonna have this guy running the z wall infinite every game now

  • The last time this happened I had just decided to run spies from the shadows and so I found them pretty quick and was accused of hacking, I told them spies from the shadows carried me and they tried to say the perk doesn't work in that way and reported me anyway but I found it hilarious that I decided to run that perk the match I really needed it even though I was just bored switching my build up when it started.

  • @Brimp said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2690681#Comment_2690681

Its still extending the chase by a large amount with 2 other survivors on gens. Then if the killer chases 1 they can just go back to working on cowshed gen assuming it wasnt already completed.

It really doesn't because theres only two gens popping instead of three so now you need a longer chase for the third gen to pop, but it's fine we can agree to disagree I'm not exerting anymore energy into arguing with people, apparently they would rather get gen rushed than to deal with a snowman that literally gifts you a survivor that had distance on you to begin with. Anyways have a nice day I'm out.

  • @Brimp said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2690659#Comment_2690659

You didn't understand what i said at all did you? Lemme give a different scenario, lets use cowshed with a pallet close to the window. The survivor could vault a window outside but then a survivor in a snowman could body block the door facing outward so if you hit them then they get propelled towards the pallet and make it because of the hit cooldown. If you decide to vault the window the first survivor can just keep looping there until entity block then use the pallet and get to another tile. There the snowman just became a breakable wall.

Yea but they pay the price of immediately being in a chase instead of not being found and rushing gens is that what you would rather have? I get that it might be annoying but to get a snowman and body block a door is wasting a ton of time that could've been used on gens snowmen don't move fast and you're doing nothing hoping the killer comes to see you trolling at the shack door blocking it instead of helping your team and you're probably getting yelled at by the guy looping the killer who you just blocked shack for also

  • @Brimp said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2690604#Comment_2690604

Then you havent been playing against survivors that know how to use the snowman. Lets say you're chasing someone to shack to the door way farthest away from the window and are close to the hit. Now the survivor your chasing goes through that way but someone in a snowman blocks it and is facing inside the shack towards the window. You now lose out on a hit on both survivors because the snowman would shoot them inside shack and give them a fast vault. I don't think thats called "crying for nothing".

It absolutely is crying for nothing this helpless woe is me mentality, I'm rank 1 with over 10,000 hours in this game , does that mean I'm the best no absolutely not and I don't claim to be at all or even close but I know for a fact the survivors know how to play that I'm facing, what you're saying isn't going to fly against a good killer unless they're playing the twins or GF and even then they cost themselves a ton of distance because if you try to hop in right in front of them you can take damage while entering so how much distance is sacrificed just to troll and be in a worse situation immediately afterwards? A good survivor can tell you that they would be way better off just continuing to a safe zone and looping than giving themselves up and trying to come back from it

  • @Brimp said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2690489#Comment_2690489

You do realize you can body block with a snowman and still have enough distance to make a loop right? People who would otherwise not make it to a loop could jump in a snowman near them then while the killers in the cd can still make it with the the 10 meters of distance.

Yea dude I've been playing killer all day, most of the time they cost themselves distance that could've prolonged the chase it's a bunch of crying for nothing, I've not felt robbed by a snowman even once people are just complaining because they don't injure them when the snowman pops there's no speed or anything broken about it

  • @Virghoul said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2690489#Comment_2690489

What OP is referring to is you are in chase and closing and there is a snowman and the survivor jumps in. When a killer hits the snowman it destroys the snowman but the survivor takes no damage. It is situational but I have had it happen a couple of times. It isn't terrible but once again a mechanic that favors survivor.

That depends on what killer you use and even then you're right on their top there is literally zero speed boost from it, if you use huntress and hatchet the snowman then m1 it negates it and deals damage, if you m1 with nurse you can immediately down them afterwards with a blink due to the short distance you would have to be bad to mess that up I just tested that one, Leatherface negates it completely due to multiple swings, pyramid head can use his power then m1, the doctor can shock to pop the snowman and then m1 with the added bonus that they can't vault or throw a pallet for the first few seconds, I'm going through all killers testing this right now and the only ones who even have the potential to be taken advantage of in this situation from what I gather so far are the low tier bottom of the barrel killers that you shouldn't be playing at high ranks anyway if you're playing serious and wanting to win and even then the cost of jumping in the snowman got them killed faster than if they had just made distance and tried to loop, it's this killer woe is me garbage on the forums that have people complaining I don't feel sorry for these people if they don't like it then don't play were all free to our opinions but it's a whole different level when people complain about literally everything.

A free 3th Heal State ( 4th whit Dead Hard ) Really Devs Really ?

Die idea of the Snowman is Funny and Great but it shouldnt unBalance the Game even more Survivor dont use it vor Fun they use it to have a 3th healstate in a Chase and make it much Harder for Killer and some Killers like Twins are unplayable because of it

A Event Feature shouldnt have a unfair Advantage ans shouldnt only be Good 4 One Side . Survivor gets a 3rd healstate the Killer gets nothing only cosmetics

Why arent Killers allowed to have Fun on a Event ?

And for the Survivor Mains who say " its a Event its Christmas just have Fun " no it isnt Fun when a Event gives 1 side a unfair Advantage u also would complain if the Snowman would Male all Survivor exposed for 60 seconds amd reveal there Aura

It's not a 3rd health state they literally sacrifice all the distance they had to be put in a situation where you gain an easy injury or down, if you're getting outplayed by the snowman theres a big problem with the way you're playing the killer, especially when you lose a chase where they literally hand themselves to you in the middle of it. But I know it's pointless to have this discussion because you don't see it that way and that's totally fine, I really wish I could block a few people's posts on here I'm tired of seeing certain people cry constantly.

Its honestly ridiculous at this point, I dont mind someone doing a boon but the fact that's all they do, place a boon, move on place a boon. Or they just hide for altruism saves, I'll be working on a gen injured and they just tbag next to me for the whole time...

And now the event... my whole team is just jumping into snowmen at game start walking towards the killer...

Like this isnt fun for me... fact I do like a 3min chase most games and not one gen pops is stupid.

I have no idea what goes through people's heads nowadays, why play a game you arent going to do the main objective in or actually play

Lmao I agree and if you talk to most killer mains on here they complain about the snowmen like it's an invincibility whenever they hop in a snowman, you've got all these survivors trying to get you to pop them out of the snowman for free pressure because you're right on top of them when it pops and there isn't a speed boost so you're essentially trading a health state and if you get in the snowman to find the killer you're wasting a minute or more to actually get their attention to pop it and gens aren't popping I honestly don't understand where these complaints come from like how bad at the game do you have to be to complain about free slowdowns and hits?

  • @EntitySpawn said:

Is there an actual reason we balance around players not doing the only objective?

    Curious....

It's because they're too busy finding totems to bless so the game drags out like 10 minutes longer because someone wants to waste over a minute to find and bless a totem to have the perk self care equipped, or because for some reason they find it fun to hide the whole game and not do anything, whenever I don't have a squad I just play killer because at least that way I'm responsible for myself and I can't lose because of someone else's mistakes solo survivor is too frustrating these days you'd think by 5 years into the game people would understand how fast gens go if you just separate and do them

  • @Pizzasauce said:

Who does that? Seriously? (Excluding the Kate who just did it me.)

In solo about half the team is more than likely too scared to actually play the game and they enjoy looking at walls on the edge of every realm

    There are classes in battlegrounds?

Whatever, it's still only one group.

I mean, noone is happy when there is OP thing in game. Warzone not long time ago released MG82 and that was super broken and noone wanted it to stay there, because it wasn't fun to play against it, see?

It's not just dbd thing. Difference is that in those games, everyplayer is kinda on same side, which is just not true for DBD.

Killers want to have fun and survivors want to have fun. Where their ideas to have fun usually clash hard.

Head-on builds SWF for example is super fun for survivors, I can assure you it's not fun for a killer. What is worst, it doesn't end, you need to slowly kill them while gettings stunned for several minutes. They will never finish gens.

This game also for some reason gives people a big head like they think they're the best to ever do it or the first to ever try something, I hate that about this game once you play for so long you no longer care about that stuff but it's super annoying because everyone has an excuse or an attitude about a perk or strategy they lost against in their mind they played perfect and the game is broken not anything they could've done and being unable to accept a loss is absolutely ridiculous, I 4kd as wraith yesterday I was running serpent and shadow dance add ONS and they said wraith was cheap and op and that I need to get good and play a different killer, I'm already one of the lower tier killers what more do they want? Should I do the gens too so they can feel like they're a god at the game? Then they went on to say I was bad when only 3 gens were completed when they died, I use to enjoy the salt but now sore losers just get on my nerves.

They are ridiculous and give free hits as if we don't need to worry about enough. Are killers not allowed to mention something we don't like you know like all them posts by survivors about nerf killers etc.

Are you capable of reading? Read the general discussions and tell me who's crying and who's ALWAYS crying about something, the survivors who whine are more than likely noobs crying about Noed or nerfing a killer that doesn't need it but don't pretend like the forums haven't turned into a giant cry corner for killers not very good at the game I'll guarantee I have more hours in my killer role alone than most of the complainers do in the whole game and they want to act like if you don't agree with them you're a filthy survivor main, I've got 10,638 hours in this game as of right now and at least half of those hours if not a little more than half are all on the killer side , The snowmen are fine because you can't do ######### inside of them and the survivors don't get a speed boost for it popping so if you're injured and hop in a snowman you've lost all your distance you had and you're gonna be an easy tap for any killer who has a brain stem.

  • @Marigoria said:

From what I understand from your post it looks like you, the killer, are using other survivors to kill them by letting them farm them. That can be considered grieving yes, since you're using a survivor to kill another.

That isn't what it is considered by the devs, they see it more as the survivors are all in the dead end room on dead dawg at the top of the stairs inside the main let's say and you block the doorway and afk forcing them all to DC because nobody can do anything, or downing one survivor and standing over their body the whole time until they bleed out without going for anyone else, getting the same player in multiple matches and only trying to kill them while letting the others live etc.. stuff like that is considered reportable for griefing but I could hook someone and camp them while hitting them on hook and allow unhooks for a trade out and it's not reportable because the game can end and I'm not targeting someone repeatedly in multiple games

  • @Mandy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/298624/the-reason-a-lot-of-killers-lose-and-feel-genrushed

This is something that I said on here last week. I play with Lethal Persuer and seeing where the survivors spawn can make me feel demoralised...when it's all 4 survivors spread out across the map. I might still end up winning that match (I use the term loosely because I'm not particularly bothered about winning or losing), but the negative feeling I had at the start can stay with me. I know that during one chase I have 3 survivors on separate gens, so I'm expecting them to pop instantly anyway at that point.

I personally feel like the devs should always make survivors start together, in a horror movie they always start together and end up splitting up and with gens going as fast as they do when survivors separate it would really help for the lower tier killers instead of four survivors all spawning spread out and working on separate gens less than 5 seconds into the game.

  • Idk because everytime I pull the forums up it's always full of salty killer tears crying and complaining about everything, and now here you are whining about survivors crying, what's next? Complaining about survivors running in a straight line- oh wait even that's here too, those damn survivors

  • No matter what happens or what anyone says as long as you're having fun it doesn't matter, some people try to bring you down over the dumbest things and at the end of the day they didn't buy your game and you can play however you want, making sure you're happy and having fun is the most important thing.

  • @gatsby said:

I wanna know people's take on this.

Should there be a level of skill a Killer can reach where they consistently win or should Survivors always be at a power level where they can overcome even the strongest Killers?

This is tough to answer but I'll try, I'd say No because the survivors have to at least have some chance at escaping even against the strongest build and add-ons otherwise why even play the game? Every killer would play the same thing and you might as well back out if it were a guaranteed victory for the other side based off getting good with one character , I feel like the game is balanced when top tier killers are being played because then it's more skill based for the survivors and more mind games are involved where the smallest mistake can cost you, I think more killers in the A tier level should be created or lower tier killers buffed to that point so that way at high ranks we don't feel like there's only a few options to choose from to stand a chance against a 4 man squad that's actually good, but at the same time I understand why the lower tier killers exist because new players have to start somewhere that's basic and easy to understand, but even if you're the best survivor in the world you're only as good as the team you have so why should the killer be able to get to a point where even a squad of the very best stand zero chance at escaping? It wouldn't be healthy for the game if that existed

  • @[Deleted User] said:

There's nothing preventing killers from running their strongest builds and add ons every game. A lot of killers complain about perks/items when they are simply choosing not to match those things.

Not only this but they pretend like every group they face is team oracle, and I've got news for them if they think every survivor team is op and as strong as they cry about than they're just bad at the game and need to get better, not every team is a tourney sweat squad that finishes the gens in under 4 minutes and in their mind it's totally impossible they did anything wrong, they can't accept that they get outplayed and come here to make a laundry list of excuses as to why survivors beat them and what they want nerfed.

So, just because. Ok. Again, don't cry when people face camp you. Probably shouldn't cry about hacks or exploits either. You can just DC to avoid them after all.

Don't pretend like exploiting and hacking are in the same category as tbagging, if you get that upset about it that's your problem just about any multiplayer game you play has tbagging.

  • If you're all the way across the map in a locker and get revealed by killer instinct and for some reason are still in the locker by the time she gets there that's a 100% your fault for not leaving the locker and besides ######### are you doing staying in a locker that long anyway? I would be pissed if I were your teammate in that situation

Not really because why even ask them in the first place? It doesn't matter if they are or not and people who ask that are looking for a reason to trash talk let's not pretend that's not why people ask that after a game like what was described, it really doesn't matter if they are or not and based off what the rest of the people on the thread are saying about SWF I'd say that comment makes plenty of sense

I do think that Killers on these forums believe that 4k is a win and 3k is a loss and 2k and less means the games inbalanced.

They don't understand the survivors didn't win either it's a draw for both sides, they just get triggered because they can't 4k every single game, if they were getting 4k every game they would say it's balanced but then they would still find something to ######### about it's literally all they know how to do at this point, for ######### sake they want running nerfed so you can't do that anymore either I saw someone suggest a stamina bar for survivors, listening to these people is How To Kill The Game: 101

2 kills is not a win, the devs don't know what they are talking about. Most devs don't even play their own game. I can easily get 2 kills with bubba by just camping someone in the basement and then crawling out with noed to get another free kill. That is not a win, nor is that balanced.

So a 4k every game is what you must consider balanced then because a 2 for 2 literally is the most balanced thing in this game, it's not a win for the killer but it's not a win for the survivors either

  • @FreshCoal said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/297338/statistical-evaluation-of-an-interesting-tournament

A killer getting 2 kills is not a win buddy...

I also had a great laugh when you said that killers were overpowered in public matchmaking.

2 kills is considered balanced though, that's what the devs want to see, while I agree public matchmaking killers are nowhere near overpowered these statistics do prove that when you have top tier players on both sides the game is balanced, now if killers had been playing wraith, legion or another strictly m1 killer with no power to instashot then the stats would be more survivor sided due to the fact that at top level play theres not much those killers can do to stop the gens from pumping out, at the same time though if you're playing bottom tier killers at high ranks what do you expect to happen? BHVR came out like 2-3 years ago and said some of the killers are made for beginners to use as stepping stones into playing killers that require more skill you're supposed to use them up to a certain point and switch when the going gets rough that way they can cycle people into playing different killers than the same one they started with

  • @throwaway79465468797 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/297338/statistical-evaluation-of-an-interesting-tournament

1 tournament that strictly used 3 killers does not make a good argument for balance...

It does when those killers are considered the top tier in the entire game, if anything it proves that when you have top tier survivors and top tier killers that it's almost a even split

  • @Sakurra said:

You can't. Only between PC and switch. Soon

I know that but I was curious if this somehow bypassed that due to it using all your console information if it were linked, I've have friends on PS4 and switch I play and chat with occasionally and recently a couple of them bought a PC we've been playing Halo and GTA on there but I can't convince them to get dbd because they don't want to spend money twice which I really don't blame them but it got me wondering how that works with epic games

  • The problem with this is that the functions of survivor by not being able to do anything but run and repair and open a chest, it would a an extremely boring campaign unless you just wanted it for a storybook game where it's more of a walking simulator while telling a tale, only a few killers would have powers because a story mode would be covering everything from before they were taken, I would honestly like something like that in the game but I feel like BHVR would have to polish abilities and give both sides more interactions that people would wind up wanting in the PvP portion of the game , also the que times would skyrocket on release of the campaign

Not all killers are staring at you while you are on hook.

If you have 2 ppl on hook, one dies, next uses deliverance.

They were saying how you couldn't attempt when being the last survivor that's why they wanted deliverance to change

  • Lol but then why would you have hooked them in the first place knowing they're the last one?

  • @SassySnorlax said:

I feel like if you have Deliverance ready, and you're the last survivor in the trail and get hooked, you should be able to use it still.

At the moment, regardless if you meet the requirements (1 safe unhook) you still die instantly if you're the last person in the trial.

I would like to see this change, it could make for some clutch escape moments when paired with Decisive Strike.

It would make no difference because if you were able to attempt people would just stand by the hook and as soon as you used deliverance you would get smacked down and more than likely they will expect DS with deliverance so then you're just slugged and hooked once they feel it's been long enough, it's basically delaying the inevitable at that point and dragging it out longer than it should

i'm complaining because she doesn't feel strong in the red ranks. People can EASILY dodge her crows and you get punished for it. It's already tough to land the hit with timing then also when u land the hit you have to do it 2 times to get the reward. someone stated here that if its close range it does damage in 1 shot but through walls it's 2 times or something like that. Why we got to put so much effort into it when survivors are 4 people and you waste time trying to do all those things? it's a headache and for that reason I think she is weak. I feel she has a weak 1v1 and 1v4. Too much skill and guessing required to play her effectively. At least her perks are decent though I got to give her credit for that

The problem is people got used to the ptb artist and now she's slightly different than she was, I personally don't think she should've been nerfed from ptb but we can agree to disagree on her strength

You know if i'm smart I should just ignore your comment but i'm actually going to be dumb now by answering you. Nurse is not weak don't bring that into this discussion ok? that's number 1. WHO CARES WHAT STREAMERS SAY YOU SHOULD PLAY AND JUDGE FROM YOUR OWN EXPERIENCE AND MY EXPERIENCE SHE ISN'T STRONG. spirit now is butchered and is trash, blight is only OP on PC not on console and HE STILL HAS SLIDING OFF OBJECT ISSUES. PLEASE do every1 a favour and STOP LISTENING TO LIVE STREAMERS AND GET YOUR OWN EXPERIENCE.

I've got 10,000 hours in this game kid don't talk to me about getting my own experience I was here from day 1, I was pointing out that people who are normally upset aren't at the moment and that does say something, do you play on console ? Is that why you trash blight on that platform? It's not the killer it's you

  • Alot of killers tunnel because of gen speeds and they're playing lower tier killers, they chase a survivor 2-3 gens pop on first hook and then they feel pressured to start taking people out, if all the weaker killers with little to no map pressure had a built in way to get across the map faster you would see alot less tunneling and that's the general complaint they have is they feel forced to play blight, spirit, nurse etc... Just to be able to compete at top level

she is still weak imo because she has a very high skill learning curve and she doesn't get rewarded with her high skill. You have to land 2 shots to injure/dying state... Why? Why can survivors get rid of her crows once it lands the first time? Why does she have a cool down on her power? why do you need to time her shots perfectly when survivors can easily dodge it? I don't think she is good but to each their own opinion

By your logic you must think nurse is weak too, the artist has a high learning curve that is very rewarding, even certain streamers who hate on 90% of the new killers have stated she's a very strong top tier killer and that's saying something from just playing the ptb whenever those same people were calling spirit and blight not so strong and now look at where we are with that and all the complaints they get from survivors. You simply haven't mastered the killer yet or found a strategy that works with how you play
