  • It's a bug. You can randomly lose items and add-ons when you Escape.

This game has quite a few weird bugs like that. You can submit a ticket here or go to the bug report subforum and make a post detailing what happened there if you have any information on it.

  • The base game couldn't support this.

Killers with a 3rd person POV I could see, but Survivors with 1st person POV just wouldn't work. Stealth Killers would be unstoppable, stealth as a Survivor would be a complete gamble, and mind games at high wall loops would be a nightmare.

Maybe a different game mode could have 1st person for Survivors, but not the base game.

  • Eh.

I hate people camping the basement stairs as much as the next person, but adding multiple ways into the basement would ruin it's desirability and effect IMO.

I wouldn't complain if this gets added, but I don't think it's needed.

I never found Ochido as toxic. He's just good which happens to classify any player in DBD as "toxic" these days.

He would call out witch hunts on people he didn't like, have his followers harass people, and would try to pressure girls into showing him nude photos.

I don't care if he was any good or not; you can't defend that kind of ****** behavior. He deserved to get permabanned.

  • I never preorder anything; but I am waiting eagerly for REmake 3 to come out.

Mostly because I loved REmake 2, but also because the multiplayer seems like it'll be fun.

  • If I feel like it.

  • Trapper helped Vigo truly escape the trials and the Entity once upon a time.

It was daring and bold; an escape effort only possible due to both Vigo and Evan's intelligence and determination to beat the Entity. Evan knew he'd be left behind, but was willing to help to spite the Entity.

Rather than simply killing Evan or disposing of him in the Void, she twisted his body and shattered his mind; flaying and ripping to pieces Evan MacMillan before putting him back together again so she could do it all over again.

A lesser person would have died; become a useless lump of flesh.

But Evan's will was as strong as the metal now twisting through his body. His mind and his identity were gone; ripped into mush by centuries of unrelenting agony, but a bit of him remained: the cruel cunning and vicious instinct of animal.

The only part of him the Entity needed.

He serves like a dog, not a man; yearning only for the temporary relief of his still constant suffering when he serves his master well.

When a new Killer is brought into the Realm; the Entity uses the Trapper to introduce them. A grotesque living puppet of meat and metal: a symbol of both the Entity's obscene glory and her boundless malevolence.

To any confused or rebellious newcomer the voice of Evan MacMillan rasps out the Entity's only warning, "Hunt. Hurt. Hook. Serve or suffer."

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with an existing language.

I thought someone deciphered those back in 2018. They ended up just being poorly worded sentences that basically said "this is a sign of skill".

Like a meta "congrats you figured it out" kinda thing. No lore involved.

  • @Judgement said:

Yeah, I think both Phillip (Wraith) and Herman (Doctor) are African-American. So is Lisa (Hag) I believe. I haven’t checked up on the wiki or discussions about Killers’ origins recently though.

You're right about Wraith; he's a native born African who immigrated to America. His last name, Ojomo, is Nigerian in origin and his lore mentions he left his native country with hope for a new beginning.

I don't much about Hag though, besides that her Ultra Rare and Very Rare add-ons imply she's a child or teen.

  • Another original Killer.

Personally I just want something new and experimental. A Killer whose power is radically different from anything else and flips the game on it's head.

  • If they die anytime before the next morning, then technically they'd be dead by daylight.

  • I still don't understand what was wrong with old Sabo.

Were a bunch of people complaining about Sabotage or something?

'coz from what I know, it seems like the developers can't make any conclusions about YEARS of people saying the Survivor's main objective is simultaneously boring as heck and goes by way too fast, but they just KNOW that they need to redesign Sabotage?

  • I think the game is SWF sided. All anyone else can do is hope for the best and try.

  • We'll see how it turns out, but I'm excited for the Hangman's Trick buff.

  • All this would really do is cause more people to tunnel when they see that Meg there is on death hook while the two Claudettes tbagging by the pallet haven't been hooked at all.

Also how would a hook counter be implemented into the HUD?

Putting it by the icons in the bottom right wouldn't help in situations where everyone wears the same cosmetics, unless you're keeping track of who's Injured; at which point it's not much of a stretch to just pay attention to who was hooked last.

All-in-all, I just think you're asking for a QOL change that's more trouble than it's worth.

Just look at the bottom right when you hook or down someone to see which of the four icons change. Then avoid downing or hooking that person again.

  • It's trash (Open Handed is far better and a perk I use from time to time when I bring Kindred or Bond), but I constantly snicker to myself whenever I play with Up The Ante, thinking about how cocky it's flavor text is.

I also like to imagine my teammates' faces when they see the little icon in the corner.

  • All of GF's perks are pretty meh IMO (Thrilling's cooldown kills it for me) but at least this one lends itself to some funny builds.

Combining Furtive Chase with MYC and Nemesis, or Nemesis and Rancor can make for a pretty wild time.

  • I really hope this is a joke, and I don't like that I honestly can't tell.

    Pretty funny either way.

  • He's really strong in the right hands, IMO.

I just think he needs to start off with all his traps. Having a Killer that has to go around random places on the map acquiring his power is just stupid at this point in the game's life.

The only problem is 3 gen Trapper, but that's more of a problem with map design and generators in general IMO.

  • Because a lot of Killers are now using NOED to counter all the people using Toolboxes and Prove Thyself.

Also some Survivors refuse to trade their Dead Hards and Sprint Bursts for Detective's Hunch or Small Game, so they can get hit with NOED after Dead Hard'ing into a wall or Sprint Bursting into a dead zone; instead of disabling NOED before it activates and just learning to pay attention to their surroundings or how to route during chases so they don't need Exhaustion perks.

Seriously though, the complaints are just a few people refusing to use any of the many tools in the Survival arsenal that soft counter/hard counter Hex perks.

  • @Toxicboii

I'm not OP, but here's Oni.

    Also Huntress.

Normally I brush today off like the creation of candy and greeting card companies like it is, but literally everyone in my social media is gushing about their partners, fiancés, spouses, families and it’s kind of getting to me a little. I’m 27 and I’m nowhere anywhere near becoming important to someone. It’s honestly really hard to envision a future where that happens.

Is anyone else in the same boat?

No, I personally don't think being alone is bad (being alone just means you're spending time with the person that knows you best!) and if I don't find a romantic interest, I won't find a romantic interest.

I don't know if you've done this already, but I think you really need to think about whether having someone special is really important to you, and why it's important to you.

Do you just want someone to spend time with? Do you want a family in your future? A romantic partner? Are you just feeling jealous because all the people on social media look happy together? Are you just scared of being alone?

Like anything in life, you should know what you want and why you want it before you try to work towards it.

  • I get the feeling someone lost an item to Franklin's Demise.

While we all have annoying moments because of it from time to time, this feature is necessary. There's one Killer against four Survivors. The Killer should at least be able to prepare for, or have an idea of, what the Survivors might be bringing to the table.

By and large, the Survivors are the ones who should be faced with uncertainty and apprehension, not the Killer.

Also, the title out of context is hilarious.

  • Me as Survivor:

    why-cant-l-hold-all-these-pebbles-bloodborne-memes-51193662 (1).png

Me as Killer against the 3rd group of 4 Survivors all bringing Toolboxes:

  • I'm dying picturing Amanda, Susie, or Frank just walking through a wall with that playing in the background.

  • Why do you think there aren't any lefties in the game OP?

Sure, all Survivors hold items in their right hands, but all actions besides opening gates, throwing pebbles, and using flashlight use both hands. And none of those actions necessarily require using your left hand.

Also, Huntress holds her ax in both hands and throws her Hatchets with her left hand. Maybe she's a leftie?

Edit: I forgot about opening Lockers and the point and come here animations.

Also worth noting, opening Gates and Lockers, as well as throwing pebbles, and both gesture animations are all done with a Survivor's left hand. Maybe Survivors are actually all left handed?

  • @VoodooChild said:

Wait is he left handed in the game? Which one is his fake hand?

If hes not actually left handed in the game im going to be a little piss until they fix that and give him a young skin, like in the movies. P3 Young ash? They wasted Bruce Campbell man I swear, I hope they get in contact with him again and give evil dead the love it deserves. We need a cabin map at the very least

His fake hand is his right.

Which is why he's left handed, since he tends to have a chainsaw instead of a right hand.

His animations, however are not any different.

Survivors are only alerted when afflicted with Broken by this perk. Survivors with No Mither would not be alerted from the start, but only when they have 30 seconds on timer remaining.

    @TheRockstarKnight

It's as passive as Thanaphobia or Sloppy Butcher, still requires You to injure survivors and is countered by Survivors healing. And to prevent slugging, timer is paused while You're down, so if You slug using this perk, You're just wasting it.

If you slug with this perk Survivors can either leave their teammates on the floor to bleed and let the team be a person short, pick them and progress them towards being Mori'able, or waste time fully healing them instead of doing gens.

If you're playing a Killer that can quickly down Survivors like Huntress, Nurse, Hillbilly, Michael, or Ghostface or a Killer that keeps Survivors Injured like Legion or Plague you'd be wasting your time by hooking since you can pressure the Survivors by slugging and gain progress towards killing them instantly without worry of a DS-Locker combo.

As long as the hex is up it's stronger than a Mori and would promote an unfun playstyle.

I think if you want to end the "no heal just rush gens" playstyle you should focus on giving them a reason to want to heal or do something besides gens, not a reason to avoid being Injured. And furthermore make this part of the base game rather than a perk.

As proven by the effectiveness of any attempts at punishing camping and tunnelling, negative reinforcement via perks usually just ends up making the people on the other side frustrated.

  • Hex: Devour Hope but it's a passive perk?

I'd prefer more passive Hexes like Haunted Grounds that only activate after being cleansed.

This is basically just a slightly too strong and very slugging oriented Devour Hope.

It's a decent idea but it'd be a bit too nasty IMO.

  • Don't the relevant challenges and trophies specify "interrupting generator repairs"?

If not I have no clue. It should definitely count as an interruption.

Ok this is the absolute LAST time I answer why I asked this.

    I. Asked. Because. Alot. Of. PS4. Ghostface's. Get. Genrushed.

It's getting really frustrating having to constantly explain the same thing over and over. I just wanted to know if anyone else was having Ghostface's who haven't been performing very well.

Being a high tier Killer and getting genrushed aren't mutually exclusive.

If the person playing Ghostface messes up, gets a bad map, doesn't slug, or faces Survivors that know what they're doing and are on comms, they'll probably get genrushed.

  • His base power is that he can Expose Survivors and down Survivors while being Undetectable. He also has 115% movement speed.

You can answer this question yourself.

  • Maybe with a few characters over a long period of time.

I wouldn't mind a couples outfit with a little non-canon lore in it's description every Valentine's day. To give players something to go awww over if they dig it.

Things like Sally x Phillip are cute, but putting everyone with someone else would be too much IMO.

  • I had problems killing injured Counselors in Friday the 13th. Unlike DbD's Survivors they actually speak.

I struggled most with Tommy, Jenny, and AJ begging for help from anyone, pleading for mercy between sobs, or just full on crying.

If their player wasn't active on a mic I'd let them go sometimes; I just couldn't bring myself to kill them.

By contrast DbD's Survivors are easy to kill. Feng sounds more like a dog toy than a living creature and Jane sounds like she's enjoying it.

  • I don't know

    Can you repeat the question?

  • I love Better Together, but Inner Strength is superior.

If you aren't bringing a Medkit you should bring this.

  • Depends on my teammates and how they play.

If I'm scraping people off the floor every 10 seconds or watching from my hook as Oni chases an immersed Claudette around a tree I'm not gonna have a good time.

But if I'm playing with some fun and competent Survivors the Oni could facecamp me and I wouldn't really mind.

I will say that I like his chase music.

When I read the title, this is the add-on I had in mind.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/009/00L0KC6757HP.png

Now, combine them together (I think you know which parts).

    VHS Willow

  • I buy almost all skins with Shards, but I try to save them up until I have enough shards to buy what I want twice over.

If I spend auric cells I only get a single premium cosmetic piece at a time. I also only get it after it's been out a while and I'm sure I want it and will use it.

This leads to me acquiring cosmetics VERY slowly.

I think I went all of December and January without buying a single cosmetic. Needless to say, I don't have that many.

  • Screw Your Loops Susie

Enduring, Brutal Strength, Spirit Fury, Bamboozle. Both Frenzy Duration add-ons.

End chases as fast as possible after getting the Frenzy Hit. If you're lucky, they can smack you with a pallet as you Frenzy Hit them, trigger Spirit Fury, and get themselves basically instadowned. If pallets are dropped early break faster with Brutal Strength.

Not super effective, but very satisfying.

    Slugger Susie

Monitor & Abuse, Infectious Fright. Defaced Smiley Face Pin and Etched Ruler.

    Other two perks as desired.

Keep Survivors Injured with your power. Profit when Infectious reveals any Survivor within 40 meters.

    Jumpscare Susie

    Discordance, Surveillance, and Insidious.

Add-ons and other perk as desired.

Step 1: Find gen multiple Survivors are working on.

Step 2: Hit them with Frenzy, kick gen, run behind nearby obstruction and use Insidious until Surveillance goes off.

Step 3: Make Ghostface proud. Jump around the corner and down the Survivor instantly because they're Injured.

  • Quentin isn't on this poll even though there's an empty space by Laurie. :c

  • If I'm a Survivor and the Killer gets a late game DC that should have been a kill or has a bad game I'll let them kill me.

If I'm a Killer I almost always let someone go and if someone gets downed by hitboxes, a bug, or garbage teammates throwing them under the bus I'll usually get them up off the ground by spamming pick up and drop.

But I do that cuz I usually like being nice, not because I feel like I owe them anything.

  • Adam Francis. He has 4 non-recolor skins, including his Christmas sweater, and less total skins then Yui or Jeff.

Quentin too (Speedo Quentin pls), but the original NOES and all it's characters have gone back to Wes Craven's Estate; meaning that the people who own the 2010 NOES now don't own the rights to use Freddy Krueger.

So I'm pretty sure the rights to the NOES franchise might be hard or impossible to get a hold of.

  • You can't.

Just cuz Meg, Nea, and Yui are assertive females who typically dress androgynously does not automatically make them lesbians.

They might be, but there's nothing to indicate one way or the other for now. It's up entirely to personal preference/thought.

  • I just don't really think of any of the Killer cast that way.

Like, sure Susie and Wraith are cute, but they're like, puppy cute. At least to me.

  • I just don't really think of any of the Killer cast that way.

Like, sure Susie and Wraith are cute, but they're like, puppy cute. At least to me.

  • More BP per game by way of removing the 8k category limit and by removing the 75% and 50% category BP Offerings so the 100% category Offerings can be lowered to Uncommon rarity.

They 50% and 75% ones are useless unless you have no BP offerings and they take up lots of space in the Bloodwebs.

  • PWYF can be really good, especially on certain Killers or with Nemesis.

Dying Light is also really good but only on Killers who can quickly down and hook Survivors.

However STBFL is extremely good on literally every Killer besides Huntress (*sad lullaby sounds*) and fits nicely into any build on almost any Killer.

  • Instead of capping categories at 8k I think BP for the match should be capped at 32k, with all categories adding to that total.

So if you get chased all game and only get Boldness or Chainsaw down every Survivor all the time, you could get 32k bp anyway.

This would lead to a higher overall BP gain, without just giving you free or extra BP, by letting you have more games where you get maximum points; rather than max out one or two categories and fail to fill the others.

I also think disconnections should award bloodpoints post trial, like offerings do.

1 … 26 27 28 29 30 … 41
