My question is why are you playing a mature game with swearing in it if you are offended by it? Stop the censorship

It's not about censorship, it's about someone using hate speech against you.

There's a big difference between swearing because you're angry or hurt or whatever and using slurs to try and demean part of someone's identity.

  • The chase music itself is too repetitive (it's the same five~ish notes over and over) and the Terror Radius is a bit too quiet. The distant Terror Radius music would be good as ambient music though.

Mr. Envy's is better IMO. BHVR should take compare and take notes.

Damn I forgot about Huntress. Most of her add ons I can work with.

Yeah, she doesn't have the strongest add-ons out there, but only one is flat out bad; everything else is usable and helpful depending on the circumstances. Something that is all the better because of how strong her basekit is.

She doesn't need Ether Vol 15%, Stab Wounds Study (Edit: I'm a tired idiot who meant to say Stolen Sketchbook), Windstorm/All-Seeing, Chewed Pen, or Trapper Bag to be really good. Which lets even some of her meh add-ons really shine.

  • Huntress.

Huntress has just two iffy add-ons; Pungent Phial and Amanita Toxin. Amanita Toxin just sucks, but Pungent Phial can still be a bit useful if you're on a map with bad locker spawns (The Game, Yamaoka Maps, Blackwater Swamp) and have down time to reload.

She also has a TON of good add-ons. Iridescent Head, Infantry Belt, Flower Babushka, Yew Seed Concoction, Venomous Concoction, Deerskin Gloves, Manna Grass Braid, Oak Haft, Shiny Pin, Bandaged Haft, and Berus Toxin.

And the rest of her add-ons are decent; not super strong, but still useful.

Myers is a close second. However, Lock of Hair is more of a hindrance than a help, and the entire Stalking movement speed set (Tacky Earrings, Jewellry, Jewellry Box) is all pretty bad. He makes up for this with the Tombstones, the Mirrors, and the Shard set all being so interesting design-wise, even if Vanity Mirror, Judith's Tombstone, and the Shard set can be a bit iffy.

Just because someone is an M1 killer, doesn't invalidate that they are overperforming. It's their core design and power that make them good. Freddy just does too much for too little, and that needs to be addressed.

Freddy can easily catch survivors out of position since the can't see him unless he's in a certain radius, and mindgame them with not fully using his power and making them run into you. This killer is so easy to play and does so well, too.

Obviously, if every survivor had good looping skills, they could waste a killers time for a good portion of the match, but that is hardly the case.

And who says Freddy is overperforming?

Freddy has a lullaby and a Terror Radius. Unlike Ghostface you don't need to see him to avoid him.

If he starts teleporting to your gen just listen for his Terror Radius or Lullaby and make sure you're not running in a direction where it gets louder.

I don't think a Killer's power being easy to use alone is grounds for it getting nerfed. Or do you think we should nerf Clown too?

Also can we keep this thread about Hillbilly?

Yeah, Rat Liver, Mew's Guts, Deer Lung, black heart I guess if you have to.... that's about all that is worth even taking. Watch them instead of buffing all his other addons just nerf those ones lol....

Rotten Pumpkin is ok for a Common add-on, but yeah. That's still 5 add-ons put of 20.

Hopefully they give him some love, not the Legion treatment. :p

Freddy is the most powerful killer right now, exceeding the devs "comfortable" position of the 2k balance philosophy. He has one of the best gen pressure abilities, can kill/ end loops faster than normal, AND the survivors need to waste time to wake up, which if they got caught right after, his M1's bring them back into the dream state. So, yeah.... He needs to be more balanced. At least killers like Nurse and Spirit take some sort of skill.

Survivors who are awake deny his chase power.

He EITHER wastes their time forcing to wake up OR he has above average chase power, not BOTH unless the Survivor can't loop a 115% M1 Killer.

As for his gen pressure, he is still one M1 Killer against four Survivors. He can't pressure everyone.

If the Survivors play smart at loops and focus on gens, they'll do okay.

  • His base kit is ok but his add-ons are almost all garbage.

He really needs more Shred add-ons as well as more noticeable effects for his Portal add-ons. His URs need complete reworks.

  • @Shirtless_Myers said:

Hillbilly is fine as is. Freddy needs a nerf though.

    Freddy does not need nerfed.

If anything he should be given a slight buff, since a lot of his add-ons have unnoticeable/unhelpful effects. Including Swing Chains now.

Nothing crazy; but they should have noticeable effects.

Hillbilly just needs his Chainsaw Noise add-ons reworked to be useful and Carburetor Tuning Guide given a slight downside/be made into a Very Rare.

  • They're all equally great.

Discordance is a very good tracking perk as long as Survivors work together, Mad Grit is good with Agitation, and Iron Maiden with BBQ guarantees you'll find someone else after hooking.

  • I got Adept David first try thanks to a friendly Pig who let me and my only other teammate that didn't DC live.

I also got Adept Laurie first try. IIRC back then Sole Survivor used to work and once my entire team died to a Doctor on the Game I was able to freely observe him and avoid him until I got to Hatch.

My hardest Survivor Adept was probably Adept Kate. I got a lot of games where I got tunneled into the ground before managing an Escape versus a Trapper with an Ebony Mori.

Almost every other Adept I've gotten very lucky with.

My guilty pleasure is Devour Hope, and I'll admit it's mostly useless. I run it for fun, not efficiency.

  • @AAAAA Massacring. I'm on mobile a lot, and the default keyboard has an aggressive autocorrect.

Also, I hadn't heard that, but will that really kick off a new World War?

I can't think anyone out there is willing to stand against the U.S. in defense of Iran. I don't think anyone really wants another global conflict against the U.S. and, AFAIK, there isn't really much Iran can do to give someone a good incentive to start one on their behalf.

  • I just want to tell Survivors God loves them as I shove a pickaxe through their crotch and mutter, "God give me strength" every time I get pallet stunned and blinded.

Is that so much to ask?

Seriously though; since the Walrider wouldn't really work well (it's a nearly invisible nanite cloud: pallets and windows shouldn't realistically slow or stun it AND Survivors shouldn't be able to see it) Marta would be the best IMO.

  • Hag is crazy strong in that right hands definitely; but that doesn't mean she needs nerfed.

She's not unbeatable; you just need to play smart and try to avoid looping her predictably with a good team that can do gens. Like Freddy.

You will go down against a competent Hag and people will die. But if you play smart and well you'll get people out too.

  • She's a one woman army in her lore; capable of single handedly massacring entire settlements and platoons of German soldiers.

She might have some trouble in a different kind of forest at first, but if her lore is anything to go by she's an extremely determined, adaptable, and clever survivor.

Not only would she do the best, she'd stand a good chance at winning/surviving even if it was just her vs. everyone else.

All that said, what's this about WW3? 😓

  • The Rift was decent for me.

Most of the Killer challenges were easy and those that weren't were mostly just luck based. I woulda preferred challenges that were actual challenges, but that's honestly almost impossible with the way DbD's current gameplay loop works.

The rewards were kinda eh. I was a bit disappointed by how lame the free track was compared to the premium. They could still make the premium look enticing without having like 5 consecutive Rift tiers with 0 rewards. The only cosmetics I really liked were Wraith's outfit, Nea's vest, and the Trapper weapon and I'm still not too into charms.

The Rift wasn't bad, but it doesn't improve the individual matches. Honestly, it seems to make them worse; people DC when denied challenges, every other game has an AFK Wraith grinding Rift Fragments, and since we all have the same challenges matches kind of blend together into a swirl of chest looting, basement camping, NOED Trappers, and Spine Chill Claudettes.

It was okay, but I'm not gonna spend any money on it.

  • Anyone remember the original Ebony Memento Mori?

I remember the original Ebony Memento Mori.

  • People want Kindred basekit to lessen the information gap between SWF and Solo Survivors, since SWF have access to a HUGE amount of additional information.

Nerfing the amount of information granted by Kindred to make it "balanced" misses the point entirely: people want it basekit BECAUSE it gives information that SWF don't need to use a perk to give.

That aside, here are my thoughts: this change doesn't seem to do much regarding Killer location, which you say is Kindred's strongest ability. Survivors will still see Killers puppy dogging the hook and where the Killer heads after hooking, which is actually what happens with a 16 meter aura reading. I suppose campers can just move outside the 8 meter range now, but that just makes life easier for campers not most Killers. Overall the Killer aura reading is mostly the same. Heck, just run Open Handed and it will be the same.

This change really just nerfs the ability to see all other Survivor auras while someone is hooked; which, IMO, is Kindred's strongest ability. Going from 'all Survivors everywhere are revealed' to 'the closest Survivor is revealed' is a HUGE nerf to this perk's functionality.

  • He could have this as his alternate head cosmetic:

    Untitled Image

No Killer would stand a chance.

  • Conceptually his character and lore are neat; I just find fault with the execution.

Don't get me wrong; he's fun to play, but in-game he does feel a bit... ...uninspired compared to his concept.

My apologies, I thought the poll was the other way around hahaha 😅

I'ld rather people let me die then, but if they manage to rescue me, I will use it to take a hit or save another survivors.

Oh you're fine lol. I suppose it could have been a bit clearer.

There really should be an option to change your vote IMO.

  • @bobcat946732 I totally get this.

I even feel bad while playing Killer when I down someone who was good at chases because they were trying to get a risky EGC save.

  • @Saitamfed So, correct me if I'm wrong, you want the save at any costs because you'd do the same for others?

That's not an unreasonable line of thinking.

  • 500 Survival Bloodpoints if you dropped it AND stunned the Killer with it.

200 Altruism Bloodpoints if a teammate dropped it.

  • While I don't like the Stalk limit, some of his add-ons would become absolutely busted if he had no limit to stalking Survivors.

Nemesis + Judith's Journal would be even more broken than it is right now and Fragrant Tuft of Hair and Tombstone Piece would be way too strong.

Base Myers would probably be fine with no Stalk limit, but with add-ons he'd be too strong.

  • Ghostface activates his stealth and can move at full speed while stealthy. He stalks faster than Myers, Exposes Survivors from stealth, remains stealthy after Exposing a Survivor, and can crouch to avoid being seen. His stealth power can also act as a tracking tool if Survivors look at you while you're sneaking.

Unless you're a big fan of Halloween, Ghostface is the much better buy.

You completely mis-read that. Deep Wounds does force you to run, but I never said that you would be trying to down them via using Feral Frenzy like a weapon, you will still be able to track them. and if you think it doesn't stall still then THAT is nonsense, you can still pressure all the survivor with Deep Wounds, even with the change.

I never said that you would be trying to down them via using Feral Frenzy like a weapon

    I never said you did.

"Unless the Survivor is in a dead zone or they potato things up, you will not be able to go from a 4 second stun into a quick down."

"It's not like Survivors in Deep Wounds were ever forced to be stealthy in the past and they certainly don't suffer at all from running while the Killer cannot see their scratchmarks or blood for at least 4 seconds."

Ending Feral Frenzy prevents you from seeing scratchmarks for 4 seconds and stuns you for the same amount of time. It's longer than a pallet stun. You aren't getting good tracking or a quick down from Feral Frenzy unless the Survivor just lets you.

and if you think it doesn't stall still then THAT is nonsense

You're the one saying Deep Wounds is meant for "Survivors to get themselves down". I'm correcting you and saying it's intended to be a stall power.

you can still pressure all the survivor with Deep Wounds, even with the change.

I never said you couldn't. I will say that it's stall was directly nerfed though, because it was: it takes less time to Mend because that part of Legion's kit was nerfed.

  • Agreed; Luck needs to become more useful or it should be removed and the relevant offerings and perk given new effects.

  • @TAG said:

It's funny because currently the only two things luck affects atm are things that I personally believe should not be RNG/luck-based.

While Trapper definitely needs a little love, what's wrong with Luck effecting Kobe chances?

  • Ah yes, reverting the nerfs to their vault and Frenzy speed was such an amazing buff to their stall power.

You're also misrepresenting what Feral Frenzy is meant for and how it works.

According to the devs it has always been intended as a stall power. A way to pressure multiple Survivors and get them off gens. Not as a downing tool.

There's also no way you're ending chases with Feral Frenzy. Unless the Survivor is in a dead zone or they potato things up, you will not be able to go from a 4 second stun into a quick down.

Finally, you don't see scratchmarks while using Frenzy; the whole "Deep Wounds now [forces] you to run, leaving scratch marks for the killer to track, or else the timer will tick down, while Legion's power now allows him to catch up faster to the survivor than before" is just nonsense. It's not like Survivors in Deep Wounds were ever forced to be stealthy in the past and they certainly don't suffer at all from running while the Killer cannot see their scratchmarks or blood for at least 4 seconds.

  • Huntress easily.

It's vague enough to leave events and details up for debate (unlike newer Killers), but not so vague you have almost no information about her (like older Killers).

She's also easily the most badass of the Killers through her lore; basically raising herself in an extremely inhospitable environment before going on to singlehandedly massacre entire towns and platoons of heavily armed soldiers.

  • There are a lot of things the devs have done that I dislike, but taking a break for Christmas isn't one of them.

    Game devs are people too.

  • That's not true! We have a new chapter now; and it totally didn't introduce tons of game breaking bugs.

Honestly, given BHVR's track record for updates we're probably lucky they didn't introduce Winter stuff before their holiday break; we probably could have had a repeat of December 2017.

Imagine facing a Plague with Empathy; or New 0 TR Michael with a Chainsaw.

That doesn't mean he's being nerfed, though. Also could you link me to where they said that? I must have missed it.

Not OP, but it's during this stream.

    https://youtu.be/dSX_MgLNuHA

On mobile rn; so it starts at 36:50~ish and at 37:30 they specifically mention the "chainsaw bros" will get their add-ons, and possibly base powers, looked at.

No ETA of course, but Hillbilly will get changed, and there IS the possibility it will be more than just his add-ons.

No reason to cry "NERF" though, we haven't seen the extent or exact changes yet.

  • Honestly, it was a fun and interesting movie. If JJ Abrams had been in charge of The Last Jedi I think it would have even been a great movie and a solid new trilogy.

Rey and Kylo's arcs were great, C-3P0 actually got to be something besides comedic relief, and the Force was magical and a compelling part of the story for, like, the first time since the original trilogy.

The movie's biggest failing is that it comes after The Last Jedi. It has to do too much with too little time and it really shows in some parts (Palpatine and his whole faction seem forced in, parts of the movie feel a bit disjointed, the Knights of Ren do frick all, and the whole finale space fight feels rushed).

If you can get over the course correction at the beginning and are willing to accept the new characters, it's a worthwhile movie and easily better than the prequels.

  • Agreed.

Saying Kindred would be too strong for Survivor basekit, is an admission that they know SWF on comms break the game and an admission that they aren't going to actually try to bring solo near their level.

With this, Sanctum of Wrath's map layout, removing the bugged Rank visibility in lobbies, and both Legion and Nurse apparently being in a totally fine and fun place right now I give up as far as balancing goes.

I just hope they don't mess with Huntress and Hillbilly too badly when they inevitably "take a look" at their add-ons.

  • @DocFabron said:

Imo, Ghostface is better than Myers. Change my mind.

Ghostface is more stealthy, he gives no audio cue when he Exposes someone, he remains stealthy after Exposing someone, he can Expose multiple people like Myers can, his instadown never runs out, and he has no down time at the beginning of the match where he has to slowly shuffle around and try to become an M1 Killer.

The only things Myers has over Ghostface are being able to Expose all Survivors more easily, his special addons, and being Michael Myers.

  • I miss that and the 'death of a thousand cuts' way of downing people. Legion was so fun to play like that.

You know what I don't miss though? The disconnects. Old Legion needed changed; they broke the game and ruined the fun for Survivors.

I just wish the devs would give Legion an actual fix and make them more fun to play as.

  • The hair is great; it actually looks and moves like hair, it's one of her like 6 head cosmetics without red hair, and the shaved look looks good on Meg IMO. My only problem with it is the star design on the back of her head; it just looks kinda goofy to me.

Her top is alright. It's very unique stylistically and the shiny shirt looks nice and it actually has physics, so it wiggles around instead of being plastered to her body. It just doesn't exactly go with the rest of the outfit, or any of her other outfits IMO.

The pants are probably my favorite part of this outfit, despite their simplicity. It's very different from what Meg usually gets and it looks really nice.

All in all, it's probably one of her best outfits all around IMO; and finally gives Meg a non-sporty look.

I just don't think any part of it is worth $5 dollars or $10 dollars all together.

  • I hate that I'm asking this, but you tiered up to Tier 2 right?

1 … 28 29 30 31 32 … 41
