Adam, Quentin, and Tapp are the survivors I see the least.
Really? I've seen quite a few Tapps lately since they started showing him some cosmetic love.
You know who I don't see? Ash.
I see more fellow P3 Quentins and Adams than I do Ashs.

Since you all insist this is the number 1 counter-play of the century
Someone with a Head On icon should understand the power of lockers!
Really though, stealth is his worst enemy. It's why he has an Ultra Rare to soft counter it. Unlike Billy, his power has a timer.
If he starts slugging you hide in lockers until you hear his *OOOOUUUGGH*
Even if he mega minds and finds you, at the very least you lessen a continued snowball with his power by getting grabbed.
-
Really though, while there are plenty of toxic douchebags who feel the need to repeatedly harass other people, there are also quite a few very nice people.
Maybe it's just me, but this and F13 are the only games where I've become friends with players on the opposing team.

Exactly.
It won't make them scarier, but it'd be cool and fun.

I honestly don't know when I finished it (I played a lot of memey SWF games over the weekend), but when I got on today to play a few games as Nurse I was at 70.
I didn't buy any tiers.

Shadowborn.
I love FOV increases, but it's so useless most of the time.

I hope so. Huntress is usually the one who gets cosmetics from the Chinese New Year, and next year is year of the rat and I really want to see what they do with that.
Likewise! I'm more than a little excited to see what they come up with.
Even if it is just gonna be a cosmetic on the Rift that everyone buys with cells as soon as the event starts.

I use it to avoid loops where my teammates are doing gens.
I hate accidentally sandbagging people.

I disagree about not needing changes, but being able to play Kill with Friends has been a dream of mine since I started playing.

This. ONI is fine.
DBD on the PS4 is not.

[BAD WORD], I clicked the wrong one.
I want the base FOV increased, but no slider.
The limited FOV is only a hindrance and those who don't increase it will be less capable then their peers that do the same.

Wasn't nurse from world war 1?Some of her cosmetics are implying that she took part in the war and was healing soldiers. So the rooftop of the asylum being burnt and black smoke coming out of it could mean that it was probably bombed by a war plane or maybe shot by a tank even tho we don't see any war vehicles on the map.
She was alive around that time period, but the cosmetics aren't necessarily canon or canon representations of the characters.
The United States itself was never attacked during WW1, so none of the damage sustained to the asylum could have been from The Great War.
Most likely, the damaged Asylum we see is just the Entity creating a poor reproduction from Sally's memories. Either that or Sally herself burned the asylum before getting taken by the Entity.
-
It's because games like this are acceptable with the current matchmaking system.
As far as the game is concerned, there's no problem here.
-
Ghostface would be the easiest probably.
He's the only one of the Killers I see as likely to ever go on a date with someone. Half of the roster probably wouldn't be allowed in a nice restaurant, while the others probably wouldn't want to go.
Ghosty would definitely though, if he ever met a sleek fellow psychopath that he found himself attracted to.
I personally would prefer to hang out, just hang out, with the Legion though.
We could loiter around by the highway, listen to punk rock, toss pebbles onto the road, and grumble about how unfair things are. Sounds like a good time to me.

I always dodge SWFs lol
Up to you. I never dodge SWFs; they just want to play the game and IMO they're not the problem.
It's not like solo queuers can't genrush either. It's literally the Survivors primary and, for most of the game, only objective.

Wasn't there supposed to be a pallet rework for all maps in order to shorten loops and minimize pallets per area? Did that just get scrapped completely?
I do agree any Killer game from Rank 1-6 is no longer enjoyable, and using the same three killers gets extremely boring for both sides after so long.
Yes, it started with Badham Preschool, and kinda continued with Hawkins.
The most recent map doesn't seem any different though, and none of the older maps have been touched as far as pallet density. Coal Tower still has a guaranteed double pallet spawn.

Deranking is a solution
It's a band-aid, not a solution. You'll pip up again unless you play Corner Wraith every other game.
Even then, it doesn't reduce your chances of facing a good SWF. Rank 10 Killers can be matched against Red Rank Survivors.
The devs have also changed Rank Reset. This Friday the 13th, Red Ranks will become Rank 5s instead of Rank 10s. You won't even face different players; just the same SWFs you faced yesterday.
-
The Crotus Prenn we see in game is a distorted memory taken from the Nurse and manipulated by the Entity.
The Entity doesn't have any understanding of the actual Crotus Prenn, nor does The Spider in the Sky care for accuracy, it just wants a backdrop for it's trials.
Sally Smithson is also insane and from a far older time period than Nea Karlsson. Her memories are not a reliable portrayal of the Asylum even if the Entity did copy them exactly.
-
There's no way of knowing. Could be licensing or just as a way to tie into the first film.
Judging by all the cool outfits Amanda keeps getting though, I think it's cuz the design team stan for her.

Now I'm just thinking of a 4 man team of killers being chased by a Feng Min killer who has a little butter knife.... also has the Freddy thing been confirmed? That's what happened with those two?
Hey it could happen. I'd run away from a Feng brandishing a butter knife.
As for Quentin, from his lore:
"[Quentin] devoured all the information he could, on shared dream worlds, lucid dreaming, and the methods to control the dream space. Forcing himself to stay awake... ...he searched through dusty volumes, finding myths about the demons that live in dreams, trapping their victims in limbo and feeding off their terror."
IMO Quentin learned about and studied the Entity while trying to understand Freddy. Like Hag, he learned the true nature of the Entity and possibly how to call upon it, if even only subconsciously.
After Quentin's plan to defeat Freddy by manipulating the Dream World against him fails this happens:
"[Quentin] wished it had been him, not his father, who threw the gas can that ended Krueger’s life, that it had been him who cut Freddy’s throat. Perhaps that desire would be enough? This was a realm of the mind after all. He let it consume him, concentrating all his thoughts on wishing Freddy gone. His vision was obscured with roiling tendrils of fog and, when it cleared, he was somewhere else."
To me it sounds exactly like what happened to Hag, Plague, and Spirit. Except they became Killers, while Quentin became a Survivor.
And in case you have any doubts, Freddy's POV confirms that The Entity grabs him when Quentin wishes him gone.
"Slowly Freddy closed in on the boy. His fear was so strong now that Freddy could almost taste it, but his eyes burned with a defiant hatred that was almost admirable. Freddy drew back his claws. Then Freddy felt another presence with him; something old, powerful and dark. A miasma enveloped him and the only sensation was a sound like wooden beams flexing and creaking in the distance. The echoing groan of metal crushed against metal. Something arcane and unknowable, half-way between language and pure terror."

I'll just copy paste this cause i've said it alot
Legion has no power in a chase, even less against survivors who stay injured and are any good at loops. The Deep wound is worse than worthless now, and none of the "Buffs" out weigh even the nerfs that come with them, let alone the 4 second slowdown, losing 50% of your power on an m1 and long long cool down we already suffered with. At the end of the day, Legion is a very loopable m1 Killer still, now with less perk synergy and even less slowdown.
Hey, it's accurate.
If Survivors aren't scared of being Injured then Legion becomes an M1 Killer who can waste everyone's time to gain Deviousness points.
Feel free to continue copy-pasting it.
-
I've seen 4 Onis.
One just M1'd and facecamped after the first person he downed DC'ed. Even the second to last person.
Another got a 4k because my genius teammates rushed an unhook and he just slugged us all. He didn't down anyone with his power though.
The other two got 0ks, but did manage to down people using their power.
I've played him myself and had mixed results. As many 4k as 1ks.

I see people dead hard FF swings when I play and I lose my mind. It's hilarious, because it doesn't do anything since I drop my power when I'm giving them a nice hug.
Legion has some major counterplay, but that's what I like about the crew, people don't seem to understand what to do when these teens run at them in a slightly more menacing way.
Same here! I'm always like, "Why would you do that? Now I can down you."
It just boggles my mind how many Survivors I run into that don't seem to understand how to face Legion.

@White_Owl said:
If most people are healthy it could actually be a good idea to force them out of their power, since you deny FF main point which is hitting as many survivors as possibile.
Even with Thanatophobia being Injured isn't that much of a downside vs Legion though.
They aren't stealthy. They have no M2 down. They are purely an M1 Killer. And unlike Plague their power doesn't punish Survivors for being Injured in any way.
As long as you stay spread out and near loops, there is nothing to fear from being Injured against a Legion.
Even against other Killers, pallets are best saved to avoid being downed, not to avoid being Injured. Even if it's your whole team getting Injured.
Survivors can be healed. Broken pallets stay broken.

In the lore Akito who is the son of Kazan fell from a tree and Kazan took his frustration out on Akito's playmate and their family.Imo he didn't go as far as to kill the kid, but he did have some kind of punishment. And as far as his parents go, probably both were tortured and probably had their legs snapped like his son's leg did.
The description leaves it intentionally vague.
Depending on what social class they were Kazan could have straight up murdered them all and not been punished for it (Samurai couldn't commit crimes against peasants), but assuming they were fellow nobility they probably just lost face when Kazan made a big deal out of it.
Also according to the description of Akito's Crutch, Akito's playmate was a girl, not a boy.

The Entity chooses you or you choose you The Entity.
It can take the souls of those who die into it's realm or it can take them physically if their is a thin enough barrier between it's world and theirs.
As for how it chooses roles, there's no way of knowing.
Adiris was made a Killer when she begged the Entity to save other people out of hope and despair while Quentin was made a Survivor when he called upon the Entity to kill Freddy out of hate and bloodlust.
Like as not, the Entity just picks who it wants for a given role. It doesn't necessarily need a system. Why should it follow rules?
As for the Alchemist being both, the game and gameplay don't equate to the lore.
There are many more Killers and Survivors than those we're able to play as, some of them may switch roles on a dime. The playable roster merely represent those that are the most dedicated and exemplary of that role. The Entity might not want or allow one of it's best Killers to become a Survivor for a brief period of time.
Or it's entirely possible the playable cast do switch around too in the lore, but don't in game for the sake of making the game easier to understand. A new player would probably be confused if Evan MacMillan was killing them one game and helping them do gens the next.
Or perhaps that was just part of the Alchemist's ability to leave the Entity's Realm. If you've read his lore you know that he went outside the trials for a period of time. If he left and re-entered periodically in the past he might have had free reign to choose which role he wished to 'play' the Entity's games as.

How are the Stranger Things characters in the Entity's realm? This never made sense to me. In Stranger Things Nancy and Steve are still in the real world and still part of that franchise so I dont understand how the entity could have taken them.
This isn't just a Nancy and Steve problem; Michael and Laurie were still in the real world after the first Halloween night in 1978 in every timeline of the Halloween franchise too, and there were more movies after the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Licensed characters in DBD from the first film of a franchise, or from an ongoing franchises should just be assumed to be from alternate timelines. It's a Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler, not necessarily the Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler, that got yoinked by the Entity.
Either that, or those characters will eventually escape the Entity and return to their world at the exact same time as when they left it, with no memory of their former horrific purgatorial existence.
Whichever theory suits you.

Iridescent Gatekeeper as Leatherface with no Ruin or Carburettor Tuning Guide?
Those Survivors earned their deaths.
-
I feel a bit scummy running it (Ha! I was planning on the rest of you all dying, ya losers!) but it feels much more in-line with the perk's original purpose given the EGC change. The new Left Behind is good.
If it got buffed though to boost gen speed as teammates died I wouldn't complain. Right now it's still a perk that relies on being the last person alive; it's just now it actually helps when that happens.
-
Common and Ultra-Rare perk rarities.
The current system just looks weird aesthetically and 1000 bp more or less isn't too big of a change in value IMO.
-
It'd be nice if Ranks 10s versing Ranks 4s wasn't the matchmaking system working as intended (as is the case right now).
The only potential problem I see is brown ranks not being able to match make if there are no new players, but exceptions could be made with their case so that they're still able to play even if there are no other new players.
-
See, I'm not finished with the Rift yet, but I don't really care about it.
At first I was really excited, but as time has gone on I'm more and more eh. I don't use charms on most of my Killers or Survivors and the outfits are mostly meh IMO. Honestly I can't really remember why I was so excited in the first place.
I also don't really know what to spend my bp on.
If I play anymore it's just for fun and to save up shards for Nea, Legion, and Huntress' new outfits.
-
Yeah, just use lockers until his power ends or work on gens and risk getting slugged.
Same as EW3 Michael.

Your title is kinda worded to imply that Legion players are trying to down survivors with FF.
My mistake.
I'm trying to state through my title that Survivors shouldn't fear a Legion in Feral Frenzy since they pose no threat to them.
Almost every Survivors I verse and even streamers will throw pallets at a Frenzying Legion because it breaks them out of their power when that's exactly why they shouldn't drop a pallet.
There's no benefit to stunning a Frenzying Legion besides points, and plenty of potential downsides.

Great idea but nerf everything to the Same level so everything is balanced 😳
Why don't we BUFF everything instead?
Mettle of Man now prevents Survivors from being downed. No activation required.
NOED is permanent and active from the start of the trial.
All hooks can be sabotaged and permanently destroyed.
Adrenaline grants a Survivor 10 health states and increases their movement to 230% for the remainder of the trial.
Devour Hope is no longer a hex nor requires hooks to activate; any Killer can now just instantly Mori downed Survivors.
PWYF now increases Killer movespeed by 500% and has no other requirements.
-
I heard it was the 13th, but that could just be a rumor.
IIRC there's no official release date.
-
Old Tinkerer could be very strong and was an interesting idea, but if the devs wanted it gone to make addons easier to manage then the devs wanted it gone. That's fine.
New Tinkerer though just kinda sucks. It doesn't remove your Red Stain last I checked and unless you're playing Hillbilly or Spirit it gives you information that you can't reliably use.
If I run Tinkerer as Trapper I can't exactly just sprint to a gen and stop Survivors from working on it, and it's stealth aspect is pointless because my Red Stain still exists.
And if you ARE playing Hillbilly or Spirit running Tinkerer it still doesn't necessarily help you stop them from doing the gen anyway or make it any more possible to sneak up on them.
Outside of meme builds, baby Hillbillies, and Adept Hillbilly, nobody runs it because it just doesn't really do anything.

It’s so funny to me that people are only complaining about Forever Freddy NOW, despite it being entirely possible on Old Freddy with old Swing Chains, old Jump Rope, old Dying Light, old Remember Me, and Overcharge to make it close to impossible for gens to be repaired.
And if the survivors were indeed lucky enough to get all 5 gens repaired after 20 to 30 minutes, trying to get the exit gates open was even MORE of a nightmare.
Survivors have it WAY easier against current Freddy.
But more people play Freddy now, so it's more common.
Also, people DID complain about Old Freddy. But everyone always laughed at them because "everyone knows Freddy is super weak, you must just be bad".
