  • Cross-examination is getting the Fog Vial treatment, where a niche new survivor thing gets completely gutted after a short time due to content creators who give terrible takes and are biased toward a single side, ringing an alarm bell so they can monetize their outrage take.

As someone who plays both sides the mode is wildly survivor sided they get way more and way stronger effects. And no the poison isnt the same as instent healing invincibility speed invisable unbreakable pallets. If you think the poison that only gives the killer realistic a hit if they hit a shot or set up a good bottle vs all that you clearly dont play both sides and shouldn't speak in stuff like this

What a terrible thing to say. I disagree with your opinion, but you have every right to share it on the official forum, just as others do.

  • While I can't think of anyone who truly enjoys playing against the recent trend of killers that all play themselves and get insane value for doing practically nothing, I can't see them preventing Jason from participating in the event. Overall, it just comes down to the Dead by Daylight team's incompetence in their priorities, set on creating overpowered slop to sell it before making it more tolerable months to a year down the line.

  • Jason has terrible game design. I don't feel like writing much because the developers don't care about it, either. The power creep is insane, and I'm honestly tired of people trying to defend every new overpowered slop killer that comes out.

  • Being able to see other survivor perks is generally worthless to the majority of players, as they won't have the time to go over them mid-match unless they have thousands of hours and memorized hundreds of perks for a quick flash. Honestly, quite an odd decision when you could also have them appear during the loading screen, allowing new players to at least read their descriptions.

They value profits over healthy game design and offer a game that outright ignores the issues concerning one side for months on end, creating Pay-to-Win experiences to generate more sales.

The team behind Dead by Daylight lacks any backbone as they allow cheaters to run rampant, and when they can truly rid the playerbase of them, they instead back out of the permanent bans and give them a temporary ban that lasts less than a week. It's also worth noting that they only went after the cheaters who injected DLC and cosmetics, not just any form of cheating, showcasing their priorities.

If the developers could reach through the screen and hold your hand as a killer, they would, as the matchmaking is so horrid that solo queue survivors are expected to complete 3-4 generators for their team, as their teammates want to run around and ignore the objective. It's gotten to the point that if I even want to play the game on survivor, I'm expected to sit on a generator for a majority of the game, or they won't get done, while also needing to have a really great chase to make up for teammates' subpar ones. Deal with 3-4 generator slowdown perks as they refuse to acknowledge the disparity between solo versus SWF.

Anti-face camp should be a part of the endgame, as it's incredibly stale watching the killer dry hump the survivor on the hook while in solo queue, knowing at best it’ll be a trade. If you've gotten to the endgame with multiple survivors in play, I feel like you deserve to lose if your approach is nothing but waiting in front of the hook. Endgame should receive changes to make it more dynamic for both sides.

Overall, solo queue feels miserable to play, and I don't think the developers care enough. Killer may feel frustrated in the occasional matchup with a group able to stack nasty setups that solo queue simply isn't able to achieve due to a lack of voice communication. Having solo queue forced to forgo stronger perks as they'd need some method of aura reading for certain builds to even function. Or they could cheat with wall hacks, as the developers do nothing about subtle cheating.

  • Nurse.

She's never been a healthy creation and has only been left in the game as is out of fear of backlash. With a skill ceiling that amounts to guessing correctly, your opponents will go down no matter what they do. Considering how subtle cheating has become increasingly common, I feel a rework would benefit this killer if that is never to be addressed.

  • Franklin's Demise isn't a bad perk when paired with Weave Attunement as a combo. That's about it. While people may complain about the removal of the charge reduction, it previously did too much in a single perk compared to others. Hence, Franklin's was not only good on its own but better than other perks in the same category. You could still slap on Weave Attunement to create massive wall hack zones on dead items, which was pretty exhausting as a combo.

  • Wesker is currently extremely popular because the developers put him back out in a bugged state that they never fixed, so you see players take advantage of his bugs. It's honestly pretty tiring dealing with the sheer incompetence of this dev team.

  • @Mandy said:

There is no plans for this. There used to be a third party tool in the past that did the same type of thing, and of course it was abused by players blocking people who beat them - killers blocking survivors, survivors blocking someone because they played Nurse for example. It's definitely not something we want to see happening again.

I find it comical how you acknowledge that Nurse is problematic enough that people would block players who pick it, yet refuse to adjust the killer who ignores counterplay and pairs perfectly with subtle wall hacking cheats that game devs also refuse to do anything about. Why does your team never address the blatant amount of cheating in your game?

  • He's smaller than the blades of grass in this game.

Oh the fast track whining is actually important. This perk is terrible for killers right now.

Nurse doesn't need a total rework, just some nerfs. Disabling aura while holding m2 would be a good start.
We need to remember, that this killer is very hard on the entry level, but too strong if player is experienced.

Dead hard is extremely easy to counter - you just wait few seconds.

Hyperfocus is strong, but only when paired up with stake out.
With more than 10k hours I can't ever keep the 6+ great skill check streaks. At 3-4 skill checks it's very difficult.

First has great potential and can 2-tap people very easily… but he is kinda slow.
I kinda want him nerfed, because you can win 3 mind games and dodge the hits, but he can shoot to often and kill you easily.

You missed the reason these perks and killers should be reworked. It's because cheating increases their value, and Behavior doesn't do anything toward subtle cheating. Hyperfocus and Dead Hard can be automated to trigger perfectly for the player, and The First and Nurse both benefit the most from wallhacking. You bringing up your intended gameplay experiences is irrelevant to my comment.

  • You're complaining about a meta while using meta

  • Why isn't Nurse getting a rework despite being overpowered slop for years? Why isn't Blight getting nerfed in more meaningful ways, like nerfing Blighted Rat and Crow that are spammed together? Why do they focus on Fast Track due to whining, when Hyperfocus, Dead Hard, Nurse, and The First can heavily cheat with automation and wall hacks? Why is cheating never dealt with, and subtle cheating so commonplace?

The developers of this game simply don't care about real issues within the game and listen heavily to the killer main streamers who put out terrible ragebait videos.

  • My main complaint is that rampant, unchecked cheating ruins the game's integrity and makes it feel pointless to play. The sheer amount of subtle cheating, paired with blatant cheating bots, makes this entire game feel like a waste of one's time. I run into cheating daily within this game, multiple times on NA East. Either there is subtle cheating with wallhacks, modified movement speeds, or perks like Hyperfocus and Dead Hard that can be automated. I honestly can't help but wonder if the devs care or even do anything when I encounter the same bot killer over the course of a month, selling their cheats in the chat window. Am I expected to start cheating as well since nobody at Behavior seems to care? Is the game being balanced with cheating in mind, or are these matches thrown out?

If you read steam reviews and are willing to believe…. I am with how I see things handled. A fired employee quoted a higher up as saying that as far as the bottom line, cheaters are also paying customers and deserve as much respect as other paying customers. Just saying. Could be angry ex-employee hate, but with how many there are….. It doesnt seem far fetched.

I just got out of a match with a T1 Myers moonwalking faster than any survivor could run, unable to be stunned, and wall-hacking like quite several players lately. I get to see in the endgame, after automatically dying, that it's a YouTuber broadcasting their cheats with bots. Quite frankly, this game is a massive joke, as I encounter cheating regularly in Dead by Daylight

  • Beyond the bot cheaters, they have a subtle cheater problem that they never seem to fix or care about. The team behind this game is purely incompetent, as I encounter cheating constantly.

I'm not sure that's entirely true, sure I also don't agree with some of their opinions but considering we've had countless nerfs to both killer and survivor or systems scrapped (remember the original finisher mori system)

I think it's safe to say they do cater to both sides, also if they listened to killer mains Fast Track and Hyperfocus/Stake out would be deleted

Fast Track is simply the flavor of the month to complain about. Hyperfocus shouldn't exist, as it buffs the numerous subtle cheaters within the game with perfect skill checks.

  • DBD 2026 is obnoxious, but for nothing you list. You come across as a viewer who regurgitates the same dime-a-dozen nonsense from the numerous killer-main streamers who dominate any discussion about this game and turned it into the mess it is today.

I’m not complaining about players, I’m just making an observation.

I observe that players make terrible decisions, offering opportunity after opportunity to the killer. And of course, the more dangerous the killer is, the more they benefit from those opportunities:

    • survivor running around the killer while they’re carrying someone to a hook instead of doing a gen / hiding
    • survivor messing around with their flashlight instead of doing a gen
    • survivor bringing the killer to another survivor repairing a gen, when they could have led them elsewhere and clearly knew it would be disruptive
    • survivor working on a gen right next to the one they just finished
    • survivor opening a chest, doing a totem, looking at the sky, admiring the grass instead of repairing
    • survivor using the strongest pallets on the map within the first minute
    • survivor insisting on repairing the same gen instead of going to another one, giving the killer an easy hook
    • survivor giving free hits to the killer
    • survivor staying 1 meter from a gen and acting surprised the killer comes back after kicking it
    • survivor staying on a gen and getting hit by Pain Resonance
    • survivor leaving a gen at 95% to go unhook, dooming it because of DMS
    • etc.

But sure, survivors can’t improve at all. And don’t think these mistakes come from beginners—you’d be surprised by the playtime of the survivors I’m talking about.

So the question isn’t “Can they improve?” but rather “Do they want to improve?”

So the question isn’t “Can they improve?” but rather “Do they want to improve?”

If that is a question you genuinely have, I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult for you to apply it to Blight and how they've been overpowered for years.

  • I'm not sure why they even have these as an email code anyone could use, regardless of how many matches they've played, when they could easily include them as part of the game unlocks for the account that reached that milestone without needing a redeemable code.

  • @Little_Kitten said:

I’d be more than happy to support a Blight nerf the day survivors get their act together and learn how to play against him instead of constantly whining. Give and take.
In the meantime, no survivor has ever shown what they’re actually capable of against a Blight. It’s funny—when people have proof that would support their point, you’d think they’d be eager to show it… but no. The community is and always will be the same: no desire to improve, just constant complaining without ever showing what they’re really worth. Classic.

But hey, we wouldn’t want to frustrate little Tommy, who plays solo queue and wants to loop the strongest killers in the roster as easily as he loops Amanda. Alright, I’ll leave little Tommy to his mediocrity.

What a terrible take. You're complaining about solo queue, the worst form of the game, where players are placed into a match they have no hope of winning against Blight. You complain about their performance while one of the most overpowered killers in the game can camp, tunnel, and slug while running quad slowdown and double speed add-ons. The easiest way to win a game, yet have the gall to tell them to improve?

  • @ChaosWam said:

I'm honestly surprised to see Krasue there in the high MMR, I kinda wanna see how top players play her. She's always far too clunky for me.

Not too surprised to see Kaneki up there, but honestly Lich is a welcome surprise. I enjoy the mindgames with him.

Also, Sadako still being on the top 5 in broad hurts.

I'm not sure how Lich is surprising when they're 115%, four different powers with individual cooldowns, a bug that makes his ghosts spawn within his ankles instead of the correct height that's never been resolved, and chests acting as a mini side objective.

  • A year later, players still disconnect and refuse to face this killer. Ghoul feels like unengaging slop to generate money. This killer is so brainless to play and requires low effort to get results; it's honestly embarrassing how little the developers have done to balance this killer so that people will actually play matches against it.

  • The new Trickster is generally not very good. I would honestly argue that the changes were more of a nerf than a buff, and that MiNA is Pay to Lose.

  • Just have Sable Ward cosplay as Tryks from the Twisted Masquerade event. There are already plenty of survivors cosplaying as characters from different franchises, as well as original characters dressing up as others, like the Legion's Bush Party outfit making her look like Nea.

  • I think it would be helpful if you were to remove the pre-game lobby or provide survivors with a reason to see it. Currently, it mainly allows the killer to decide if they want to face an obvious pre-made SWF or if there are multiple flashlights in the lobby, prompting a cheap pick for Lightborn, as another poster pointed out. I don't understand why survivors can't see the ping of all players in the pre-game lobby. The match becomes largely pointless when the killer exceeds 120+.

While the voting was taking place there were people posting on here and elsewhere that they didn't realize there were two more options. They could only see the young girl and the older man. If the follow up vote was because of that feedback then I don't see the issue. We also don't know that the younger girl won anyway, only that she was in the top 2. For all we know the older woman had the most votes anyway and they always planned on a top 2 vote. No point in making more conspiracies.

If that were the case, I believe we would have seen another vote for the killer design out of the three options as well. The backlash shown in the comments on the survivor probably prompted a revote, as they were far more vocal in their anger.

  • @Nazzzak said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4053303#Comment_4053303

Lol people were accusing them of rigging the vote the first time around for the young girl because the page formatting meant alot of people couldn't see the elderly lady and red haired guy were options. Now they're suddenly rigging it for the old lady? This community is funny

I think the reality of what happened was that the younger option won the first vote out of the four options; however, Behavior, fearing the immediate backlash they were receiving in the comments with the competition being called rigged as #3 was displayed first and you had to scroll down to see the last two options, decided to rerun the vote with the two most popular options. Many voters felt jaded toward the black and blue-haired survivor because of this and voted against her out of spite.

  • @Junylar said:

It seems it's now even allowed on this forum to openly insult people who voted for the other girl, as we can see in this thread. Not surprising, considering the old woman was the devs' pick. But at least now we see exactly what kind of people are going to play as her, and why it's completely justified to always tunnel and never heal/save whoever will play her.

I don't really agree with this train of thought, as the people who voted for her generally aren't even going to play as her. The majority of the comments I've seen in favor of the old lady are spiteful and hateful towards the younger option, voting against her because she's too pretty and generic, dubbing her Sable 2.0. Meanwhile, I can’t help but see Granny as Sable but old.

  • The old lady is ideal from a lore viewpoint, and I want a character that embodies traits we haven't seen before; however, I don’t think anyone wants to address the reality that this character will be as rare as Haddie and Taurie in player use after the patch hype settles. It’s good to get an older woman, but she’s definitely not as likely to be sold or played as much as the younger one would have been.

  • Dead by Daylight is a poorly balanced game where the developers want the average killer who has no clue what they're doing to achieve a 60% kill rate while excluding DC's and hook suicides. Realistically, this means that if you know what you're doing, you'll more than likely be at a 70-80% kill rate.

  • Chaos Shuffle would be the most entertaining once they make the items and addons random. 2v8 is a good middle ground, as you avoid the Ghoul entirely. 1v4 is probably the worst, as they never correct the truly busted addons and perk combinations on killers and survivors, and tile generation has been awful lately.

  • The devs don't care; they don't even ban the cheaters. For over a month, I still get the same cheating killer bot that advertises their hacks with a Discord link every single session I play this game. If someone can hack continuously for over a month, how often am I regularly playing against subtle cheaters, for that matter? It gets fairly obvious when the survivors move faster than I do when out of line of sight, and the killers wallhacking with no aura perks equipped.

I sincerely doubt they care at all about the quality of matches and focus entirely on the kill and escape rates, meeting their desired percentages. The matches I get placed into are nearly all one-sided wastes of time, with very few able to swing in either direction.

  • Happy Holidays!

With that out of the way, it's important to note how absolutely miserable this game has been. I experience blatant and subtle cheating in every session, often multiple times. The game is also terribly unbalanced in solo queue. Bad actors frequently ruin matches with camping, slugging, and tunneling throughout entire trials. S-tier killers, who win thousands of games in a row, remain unaddressed by the developers. The game continues to ignore the glaring imbalance among the 40+ killer cast.

  • You want to add basekit perks to all killers in a game where the developers refuse to adjust killers that win thousands of times in a row.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4036362#Comment_4036362

Its literal statistics. The data that BHVR releases clearly shows that when looking at the entire player base that these killers are "fine". So obviously that leads to one of the following conclusions:

    1. Everyone is wrong and these killers are actually totally balanced and you all should stop complaining about them
    2. The killers are not a problem when looking at the entire player base (hint: the average) because it takes a high skill player to exploit the power of the blight to its fullest and see these imbalances occur.

Honestly, the fact that you want to argue for such a blatantly overpowered killer that developers have coddled for years is truly mindboggling. This killer isn't healthy, and any point about SWF being busted at higher levels doesn't negate the fact that this killer is far more damaging to the game, since a single Blight is far more common.

  • @subdl said:

There’s often criticism that “when the killer disconnects, the match ends too suddenly.” But if the gates are open, and all that’s left is for survivors to walk out, how much is actually being lost?

If we’re talking about “experience value,” then let’s talk about the killer’s. After a hard-fought match and downing all four survivors, the killer often watches them all Abandon instantly—ending the game with zero payoff.

What remains? Cleaning up after bots, or pressing the Abandon button themselves—despite a clear win. A truly fitting reward for perfect play.

If the final act of a flawless game is mopping the stage alone, the Entity must be absolutely satisfied with the performance.

Some argue Abandon was introduced to prevent bleed-out abuse. Fair enough. But now, it’s a permanent privilege granted only to survivors, while killers are given no similar option—even when the outcome is already decided. That’s a double standard, plain and simple.

“You should finish what you started.” But once the gates are powered, haven’t both sides already done that? What’s left is emotional closure—and at the moment, only one side gets to enjoy it.

In the end, the current system prioritizes survivor comfort while demanding patience from killers.

This isn’t about balance—it’s about a fundamental asymmetry in the player experience. And frankly, it may be one of the worst design failures in Dead by Daylight’s history.

Why does this read as if ChatGPT created it? Honestly, if you're going to put out an opinion, take the effort to write it yourself.

at the same time we have visual heartbeat wich also gives an advantage

At the same time, we have Killer FoV, which also gives an advantage. Do you see how dumb that sounds when you realize that features that are added to accommodate players at a disadvantage are beneficial to the game's health?

  • Survivors should see the other survivor's aura in the locker if they've got Head On charged and ready to go; otherwise, no.

Hey folks! With regards to the pallet density changes, as you dig into the changes, if you run into anything that you're not digging please do let us know. We can make sure the feedback is shared with the team.

Importantly, the more specific you can be, the better. If there's a specific loop or tile that you feel is too strong, let us know which one it is - bonus points if you can provide screenshots!

Your dev team is incompetent and biased. Please engage in some self-reflection as a group and do better. Solo queue is the worst experience I've ever had in an online title, and it's treated as an afterthought when it comes to managing this game. To scrap the tunneling changes and slugging changes, when they're practically in every other game, and then nerf the tiles to a worse state than they previously were, is beyond acceptable. It's laughable that S-tier killers can rack up win after win with even less resistance now, and yet you, as a dev team, continue to leave these killers who can reach kill streaks in the thousands unchanged. For a year focused on the health of your game, it's baffling how poorly the job has been handled, and the lack of a backbone to stand up to the loud minority with Twitch streamers who cater exclusively to a single side.

  • 2v8 is poorly designed, with the only appeal being in a duo for killers. There is absolutely no reason to pick this mode for survivors, unless you want to get away from the even more poorly designed Ghoul.

  • A terrible event; honestly, it's baffling how one-sided this garbage is designed. I see no reason for survivors to interact with the event outside of challenges, as there's no benefit. Even going into the void is throwing the game for them. Do you play-test anything you push out? The killer gets to know they're in there, in combination with weak tiles, exhaustion, and ghouls slowing them down for what? A crystal that repairs generators slowly and kicks all survivors off, or a slightly better fog vial.

Just because there are stronger/more problematic killers doesn't mean weaker killers dont have problems. Whether Krasue and Ghoul exist or not, Springtrap feels sluggish and needs adjustments.

And Springtrap is not a weak killer. I'm sorry you can't aim and refuse to use stealth properly, but that doesn't mean every killer should play the game for you, like this year has shown.

  • It's nice to see the return of these outfits, but I question why they didn't bother to add the mobile skin as well for Trapper.

  • Springtrap is fine, but Krasue and Ghoul, which launched in the same year, are free hit, pay-to-win slop, so of course, he'll feel worse.

  • The pallet changes are ass because the developers continue to ignore the problematic S-tier killers that should have been nerfed or altered years ago, instead of pushing out a bunch of pallets that somehow don't even solve dead zones in their maps.

Thanks for catching this. This was a mistake on our end. It's the entire perk duration (including aura reading and suppression) that's been reduced to 30/35/40 seconds. We're updating the patch notes now to fix this.

I hope to see changes to Blight and Nurse soon if you honestly feel that Off the Record was problematic enough to send it to the shadow realm and leave it there with this update.

  • It's baffling that they decided to skip outfits and recolors of previous pieces while creating the ugliest pieces with multiple recolors that match nothing. I see no reason to purchase this Rift until I know I'd get all my auric cells back. At least in previous Rifts, I could look into recolors that may interest me if I didn't care for the theme, but this has to be the weakest Rift by a landslide.

  • @Garboface said:

She screams? I've seen her with a case of barfies. Otherwise, there is nothing she does that other killers don't. Basically.

While the Krasue does spit, not scream, her cooldowns are nonexistent, allowing her to spam without penalty consistently.

  • 40 seconds seems a bit weak; it should be at 60 seconds like Decisive Strike, otherwise you might as well run Decisive Strike.
