Slight warning about my recommendation - Panda's been getting burned out of playing killer, like a lot of people. She's been upping other games on her schedule, and playing more SWFs.
Oh, I see... I understand. I'm still gonna give her a watch when I'll have time, if I like her personality, it'd be still nice to watch from time to time.
I'm wondering if we will some changes during the mid-chapter update about Killers...

Huntress reciting a 5 paragraph essay about why the person who pallet stunned them is an idiot is also funny
Huntress has two stun noises, no? Like there is one which is more longer than the other.
I love the long one.

As for your BBQ point, it's worth noting that the aura reading... really isn't the great part of the perk. It's a nifty benefit to have, but if you really wanted information then Thrilling Tremous would be your go-to. The main reason for using the perk is the bonus points- since currently we can prevent BBQ through using Distortion, Lockers, Shadowstep, Off The Record, Sole Survivor, being within 40m of the hook, hiding behind the gen aura, etc. BBQ is only so commonly used because it has bonus points with a nifty extra bit of aura reading to encourage anti-camping playstyles.
Yeah, I think most players use BBQ for the BP. I remember reading a thread months ago about it, people were saying it was for BP because of the huge grind the game became (with like... almost 200 perks now to unlock when a new character is out?).

I stopped to be a Heather main because it started to bother me...
But she's still my favorite SH character.

I was in a 3 SWF once. I mean, I was the random solo. But I saw the Petrified Oak offerings, the toolboxes, the Breakout when I was in a lovely walk on the Killer's shoulders...
That poor Demo had a very hard time to hook one of them. When I saw what was happening, I stopped to wiggle to let him having at least one hook. Bullying the Killer isn't my vision of fun.
I don't think removing some offerings would be a bad move.
OK, as a Survivor, I want to survive. But some mechanics seem a bit... broken.

Hello. Lethal Pursuer is the best way to make friends. You see what path to take to meet them.
It's sad tho because they flee away when they see me. I just want friendship. Don't they like my hatchets? TT_TT

I like to play the tutorial if I wanna try something, like seeing if I like my new key binding. Last time, I was trying new key binding.
I opened the settings to change a key and I didn't hear The_Trapper was behind me. He downed me, he hooked me, right at the moment the bots finished the last generator.
Pretty accurate as they left as soon as they opened the Exit Gates. I died. To The_Trapper.
He's the Entity itself.

@TheGannMan gave me good tips on a similar thread I published, as I'd like to main Spirit. Maybe they could answer you! (I hope you don't mind the fact I tagged you.)

Oh I agree. I’ve said multiple times in the past that there should be a global 45-60 second cooldown on boons once one is snuffed to give the killer some breathing room.
But I don’t want to see shadowstep and exponential destroyed because COH is too strong
I think a cooldown would be a good idea. Shadow and Exponential are so rarely used that I don't even know if a cooldown would destroy them...

Can we cheat and open the other box as well? Please? TT_TT
I love both Yui and Rin.

Yeah this breaks the "Holding the game hostage" rule. Which VERY few things count against that in Bhvrs eyes. Even letting someone be slugged for the last 5 minutes of the game because the killer wanted to let everyone bleed out doesn't count because there is a timer to bleed out.
You can't take the game hostage by slugging. As you said, there is a timer. It's truly unfun to wait for the timer to be out but at least, there is one... If Survivors refuse to do generators and are hiding too well, that's another story because you can't even open the doors to trigger a timer.
-
I'm glad you had fun but farming games are boring to me for instance. I'm playing a PVP game... I like to chill, but I wanna play the game for what it is.
I wish to have more interactions with the Killer in game. Like, if they could chase two Survivors in the same time so generators won't be flying and I wouldn't escape without meeting them because someone get their attention for 5 generators.

Bamboozle. Crowd Control blocks as the survivor vaults, typically leaving the loop. And its a Hex.
Bamboozle blocks when and where you want to. And its not a hex...
Vaulting doesn't always mean leaving the loop. Like, a Survivor would prefer to vault the shack window three times than once and leave. Or the window to a jungle gym with a pallet. They make the Killer wasting more time.

I'm thinking of making an actual tier list and not shoving everyone but Wendy into one category
I'm still unhappy. Tybalt deserves the best, as he is the best. Look his face. Isn't he the cutest?
-
I still didn't play with every Killer I own... (I just miss GF and Leatherface, but I'm not planning to buy them.)
From the few I've played, I enjoy Huntress the most. It feels good to hit someone with a hatchet, even if sometimes it sounds like it shouldn't hit.
-
People complained about DS, for instance, and look. We had a "nerf". I don't think complaining is meaningless if we give constructive feedback. Not every complain have to be taken into consideration, but saying nothing isn't a solution.
Play other games if you want. I do, it doesn't prevent me to play DBD as well.
I just don't like the thread for insulting one side. Like, that common war between Killers main and Survivors main...
But it's a forums and people are free to open threads to discuss.
But for other games, I've been playing Skyrim again to earn all the achievements. And when I'll change my PC, I'll be redoing Witcher 3. Been rereading the books and they're so good.
-
Why Tybalt isn't near Rowan? They're BFF on my island. I need them to be close to each others in the tier list.

Nah I'd say it's just straight up OP honestly. If they took the I frames out I'd think it'd be a lot more in line with the rest of the exhaustion perks, except maybe spirit burst and the new hold W perk that I can't remember the name of, but oh well bhvr seems happy with where they are so unless the perks get randomly picked on their wheel of ######### to change they'll probably never do anything about them.
The new exhaustion is Overcome. I'm sorry if I didn't understand what you were writting, but are you saying Sprint Burst is as much OP as DH?
I started to use (and enjoy) SB because I though it was a good perk but not as unfair as DH...
-
I was seeing her all the time before. Now, it's rare... That's a shame because I like her.

I've been playing a few hours today but only meet two Artist. I thought she was a strong Killer—I didn't play her yet, I've just heard she is A tier.

No you cannot be banned for sparing a survivor as long as you're not actively working with that survivor to get the other survivors killed.

Thank you for the answer and the link!

I don't think it's a bannable offense to offer the hatch/the Exit Gates to the last Survivor (or them all). I don't know where to find it, but there a page on the website where you can find the bannable offenses. (May I summon you, @MandyTalk?)
-
Blight. Oni. I love them both.
Now you mention it, I didn't meet Hellraiser since the nerf.
-
Clown, because I can't see anything. I don't mind his power but it really hurts my old eyes. I feel the same with Plague when I'm infected, especially since I tend not to cleanse (at least, not before being on death hook/end game).
I don't know for the perks.

Honestly, I'm not sure why we have the option to see anyone's ping.
You never had a lobby as a Survivor with a red ping? Once, I ignored it, and I had a Feng Min who was so laggy that I was wondering how she was able to play. She literally was teleporting and it took her a long time to unhook me. We were both stuck in the animation (or I was at least) and when I finally was unhooked, she was gone.
Since, I pay attention to the ping. If it's not green, I dodge.
-
It's a cool perk. It's not too oppressive and I can counter it easily. I mean, if I don't want the Killer to know I'm working on the generator while it explodes, I can stop repairing when they pick up the downed Survivor.
Really cool perk IMO. I'm gonna use it. But I've seen on streams that sometimes, the Scourge hooks are close to each other on one side of the map. I found it was... kind of meh if you're on the opposite side.
-
The Christmas theme was more or less tied to the event, so now, we are back to the latest chapter theme. I miss the snow. We could keep the decoration in trials until the end of the month, like the lightning on the hooks and the presents on the generators.

Even Killer's themselves can't see their own ping. I think it's something that needs to added so everyone can see. And yes, killer's can see survivor's ping
I need to pay more attention when I play Killer. I'm always looking for an offering while in the lobby. But true, we don't even see our own ping. But the ping I see as a Survivor in the lobby is never the same as the one I can see in game. I always have 30ish ms in the lobby and 40-70 ms in game.

Lol I'm just dumb
(but that explains why it wouldn't have shown up in the wiki, because it'd be under B not C...)
Ah, true, I forgot to add the word Boon. But I'm actually thinking of removing it from my build as everyone is cleansing totems lately and it took me an entire day to find a remaining one. I've spent a dozen of games not being able to use it. (But I got no value out of DS as well, so now, I'm like: what perk to use with SB, IW and Windows.)
I edited my post as I wrote Resilience instead of CoH, because I used to run Resilience. What do you think of it? I stopped to run it because I started to think it's more a placebo than a real thing. I mean, if it was that useful, everyone would run it...
-
I don't remember, I think I never pay attention to it, but do Killers see the ping of Survivors before entering the match? I'm not saying you're wrong, to the contrary. We should be able to see everyone's ping, no matter the side we play.
(But I truly don't remember if as a Killer we can see it in the lobby.)
-
I had someone running it once, and it actually saved my virtual life. But outside of this situational trial... I have seen some people using it, mostly because they were doing their Jonah's Adept, but I've seen it being useful only that one time when I was slugged near to it while the Killer tried to push out Survivors to the Exit Gates.
I prefer to run Soul Guard or Unbreakable if really I want a perk to help me with recovering from the dying state. You have to be downed near the boon, or for enough long for you to crawl to the area...
I can't wait for the next "OP" perk. I remember when Power Struggle was on the PTB, everyone was like: that's OP, nerf it. I remember about Counterforce: no more reason to run Hex totem, it's OP!
Well, how many times did we see Power Struggle or Counterforce? I can count it for both in one hand.
-
It depends but I feel I have more nice game than bad ones. The bad ones are cool for the Killer at least.
Most of the time, I have decent teammates and decent Killers. But it happens once in a while to have that teammate who hide the whole game, that teammates who finish a generator right next to my hook, letting me go to second phase before unhooking me, etc.

Well, I don't think it'll tell us anything to know how many escapes Survivors have done/how many kills Killers have done, if you don't take into account other metrics, such as chase time, etc.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
IMO DS is mandatory. Killers will almost always tunnel and the game can be over pretty quickly if you are on your second hook immediatly because you dont use DS.
@Ssajbambusa said:
WoO will save your ass more often and will buy your team more time in general (all the time you would spend running to already broken or not even spawned pallet or window that spawned blocked - basically a hit or down for a killer which this perk will prevent multiple times per trial). Information perks are ridiculously strong.
DS does not help in most of the cases anyway and is pretty much useless when people play smart - simply not unhooking in the killer's face.
Thanks you for developping your opinions on the perks. It's really helpful!
-
NOED isn't that good but if you like it, you're free to use it. As long as you have fun with it I don't see a reason for you to drop it.

My survivor queues are still the same. Instant before 7PM and 5-10 minutes after 7PM. I don't know if they get longer after 8PM, I stop playing before then.
I experience the same. (EU servers). Queue as Survivors is instant until 7 PM, and I also stop playing near 8 PM. Killers queue is long until 7 PM, where I usually do one or two matches before I close the game.
I didn't notice a single change in queue time since I started to play (october 2020).

@Seiko300 said:
Depends on how good you are with chases, if you're struggling in chases nobody would hold it against you if you ran Windows of Opportunity- hell, even if you are good with chases- WoO will still have a positive impact in that your chases far more efficient, simply because you know exactly where to run, which tiles have spawned with pallets or windows and which haven't, which windows are blocked off and which are open, etc.
If you feel you're getting tunneled too frequently however, you'd obviously probably consider DS instead.
The end all comparison is this:
WoO will consistently improve your chases, (and thus perhaps your games as a whole) since it is active in every match at all times. Whereas Decisive Strike has the potential to have a greater impact on a specific match- but you may not get the opportunity to use it most matches.
So at this point it's really a question of value- which do you value more, consistency, or impact?
Also, somebody tell me what the hell CoH stands for, because I don't think I've ever seen anyone use that acronym. I even looked into the wiki and the only perks in existence that start with the letter C for survivor are Calm Spirit, Clairvoyance, Corrective Action, and Counterforce. Now I'm left wondering if I've missed something for the past five years.
Everyone uses CoH for Circle of Healing. Thanks for your opinion, it's helpful. I'm not tunneled often actually and I'm a decent looper but would like to improve...

@CowabungaDude said:
Windows is more consistent but decisive can be 5 times as useful. Id go with DS just because.. ahem... it actually allows me to play the game.
That's the consistency which makes me hesitating... But good point.
@dugman said:
I say go with Windows. The thing about Decisive Strike is a lot of killers will just assume you have it anyway and leave you on the ground if they down you shortly after an unhook. So even when you don’t have the perk you get some of its benefit simply by it being such a common perk choice. Which means you can opt not to use it, get some of the benefit anyway, and have a completely different perk as well.
That's a good point as well. That's true I've been slugged from time to time and saved by a teammate because the Killer assumed I had DS...
-
@ElusivePukka said:
DS is decent, definitely the meta choice, but I'm against its use for two primary reasons:
- if it's getting 'value': you're being tunneled, so it might be better just to do a minute on the hook and get to a more productive game.
- it has the chance of getting no value
Windows will always have some degree of value, especially after its buffs.
I don't intend to use DS for baiting the Killer until the timer is gone. It was more for, like, being unhooked without BT and being instantly downed, or being hooked at the end, being saved but downed again. I mean, if I understood clearly what you meant by "get to a more productive game".
But I do agree about the fact I'll get value out of WoO each game. The buff is insane.
