I don't mind them. I never get hit with them that much. In fact I use them more than get hit by it. Maybe its just me but I use them because I like how a map looks. Like I choose Midwich a lot because I like SH. I'm not really competitive like a lot of people. I mean this is a game where you play as Michael Myers murdering Quentin. It should be all for fun.

Oh. But some of them truly are lol. Wraith would of been in a good spot with and without them. Without the super lunge
Saying a killer is broken just tells people you don't know how to play against them. Being boring doesn't make anyone broken.
-
Dwight and Jake got the best ones. Meg just looks the same with better textures and worse hair. I don't know how the hair looks that bad. Then again I bet the hair will look better once it fully releases and if it doesn't then ill be annoyed. I really like Dwight's though. Still looks like Dwight but updated. Same with Jake. Claudette looks ugly and Meg just still looks old because she looks the exact same.

I think he was in a good spot before his post cloak lunge. I think he's a little too good with add ons now. I dumpster groups with him now. But he's not completly broken like nurse or spirit.
None of them are broken

His movement speed while cloaked was literally the only major issue he had. If you used windstorm he was always pretty good

Judging from how they introduced the Silent Hill chapter, it's likely we could see content from 3 games, for example a map from the first game, a survivor from the 2nd game and a killer from the 3rd game.
I've never played the Resident Evil games so I have no idea which character's are in what games but Mr X doesn't seem like a bad choice.
Problem is its harder to do that with RE.

Can we please just throw him in the trash?
It's absolutly no fun to play against him.
If he's good he can hit you everyt7me you get to a pallet/window.
The things he puts on the ground are sometimes invisible and you can't attemp escapes/do anything while in the cage and i've had it multiple times that survs just don't get me out of this damn thing. Plus no perks get activated when you're in the cage.
Maybe learn how to play against him because it sounds like you vault every window and drop every pallet instead of keep running. He can't instantly hit anymore like on release so just keep going and don't drop or vault.

Why only the old, it wouldn't be good business wise plus you would reel in a whole lot more people by adding stuff other than the old games. Meaning you get a bigger audience
It depends on what you mean. As the base characters the classic are the best choice. If they wanna do new characters the skins is the best way.

And this is the last one, I promise. This isn't so much about Resident Evil as it is Capcom themselves.
In your opinion, do you think Capcom is going to be as strict about skins as Konami is? With Cheryl and Pyramid head, all the sets are linked, even the non-legendary ones. If Capcom lets BHVR give us more skins, do you think they'll be all linked? Or do you think they'll be more lax about things, like Netflix with Stranger Things?
Legendaries (if we get them) are obviously going to be linked like all the others, but I'm more talking about just any common ones. Different outfits for whatever characters we get.
Depends on the skins. The most skins we'll probably get will be linked I'd say. Not because they want to but just because of the skin. We'll probably get a TON of legendaries which of course be be all linked. I do think they'd go with a bunch of linked skins. You want RE4 Leon? You have to wear it all at once. I don't think they'd be doing it for money specifically because... Well Capcom cares about money but don't care about Behaviours money that much since Capcom makes way more themselves already. But Capcom likes to take care of their characters. Even just their costumes. They want them to always look good so putting on Leon's RE4 jacket with the thick RE2 legs he might look weird and they might not want that. Or Claire with her remake pants but her classic jacket.

Why not both the old and new, I never played RE until recently so it would only be fair if some of the newer games have something to say
That's not who they are aiming for. Its for older fans.

I would say to just play the RE games you think look the most interesting to you (imo, RE0 and the RE1 Remaster are the best to play if you're looking for classic RE gameplay). Whatever characters are confirmed for DbD are likely not going to resemble what they're like in the original games whatsoever. Unless you were more curious on what the characters were like story-wise and not gameplay-wise.
Yeah RE is one of those things where the characters can fit DBD but like the overall type of gameplay is completely different from what happens in those games gameplay wise.

In the extras section is concept art. One of which has Ethan. I guess it's only concept art, but that's still something.
Concept art isn't his real face though. It looks nothing like how he actually does.

No they didn't. The community did but that's not Capcom. Even though we know what his face looks like Capcom is still gonna move forward with not showing his face.
-
@DwightFairfield said:
I honestly think it'll be Ethan and Jack Baker. Mostly due to their stories being told, Capcom is more likely to license them instead of one of their flagship characters or villains
Problem is it cannot be Ethan because his face has not been shown. Capcom is doing that for a reason so it won't be Ethan Winters.

You're forgetting the most blatant Nemesis tease. From the mouth of MCote himself, all the way back in his New Year Dec. 31, 2020 message, where he talked about the then far away Year 5 Anniversary. Now with hindsight on the CH 20 being RE, it's obvious who he was talking about. ;)
I put that in the post.

I don't get how that's the obvious money grab. An obvious money grab is the most popular characters.

The same applies with subsequent skins for licensed characters.
It's all red tape. You really think BHVR don't want to include 2018 versions of Myers and Laurie? Or Hoffman and Kramer as legendary Pig skins? We all know things like that would sell...cells.
It's down to the licence-holders.
Prepare for a huge influx of legendary skins and normal skins.

I passionately love 75 percent of RE7 (tanker? Nope) but actually find Evie a boring antagonist. By the time the game is over I came to really appreciate her story but as a killer, eh, I'm really over the "spooky kid with black hair" trope.
Most people loved 7. Most still loved the originals more though.

I though Pyramid Head was also very slow in his original game, and the power in DbD wasn’t even his power in Silent Hill?
they can create the Killers power and Balance like Terror Radius, walking speed etc like they (and the license holders) want..
The problem with creating a completely new thing for PH is it fits more in the world of SH. For RE they can only work with what he characters can do in the game since they don't have like superpowers. If they are strong, fast, smart, and use weapons like Nemesis, that's what they do and that's final. The type of world SH is allows for more of adding completely new stuff.

Well listen you TheDarkTyrant
It's going to be Nemesis who else fits DBD since people like to be all technical ######### Mr X is way to slow The Tyrant would be like Pyramid Head ,Lisa Trevor could work but she is also kind of slow, all the others are well meh Capcom and Konami compete so if Konami sends there best monster what do you think Capcom will do?
They don't have to compete through another game. Plus Capcom has always had the more popular franchise and RE probably always will be the most popular horror game franchise since somehow they can just crank out 4 amazing games in such a short amount of time with their amazing engine.

Ok so seriously we need to discuss survivors popping gens when a fellow survivor has a trap on thier head. If the killer has ruin or its the last gen then I get it pop it. BUT majority of the time you are killing that team member. Especially if pig put add ons so you can't even be stealthy you have to bolt it to boxes but then you get found and then have no time to get the trap off.
I know some will make the sarcastic comment saying "just don't get downed" but hey ho ######### goes down.
More people need to think about this especially when the killer has add ons. Even if you give the survivor 20 seconds just to get a head start on the boxes before you pop the gen it helps.
No I'd rather play the game how its meant to be played which us do the objective.

didn't they willingly take 1-3 of the silent hill games before? i think capcom can allow them to pick anything like konami. regardless of how it is done, most of the characters are a worthy addition
Problem is Capcom is not Konami and they choose carefully who to give away. They want high quality stuff for their high quality and very popular characters. We will be lucky if we get Nemesis or something which I do think we are getting him.

I mean I’d like to think that everybody understands that.
People also have a right to be disappointed if a game they support financially and time wise doesn’t include licensed characters which have already been established and people might have a longer history with, etc.
Being disappointed and getting mad at them isn't the same thing.

Who's gonna be mad at them? People don't even know who the killer and survivor are and they are already begging for the chapter to be expensive like Stranger things so they get to waste more money.
The DLC will sell fine and people are easy to please.

MM, probably will try it out but wont be an active player. Devs are marketing athe game as multiplyaer survival horror and once the players realize it is not really survival horror after passing rank 15 they coud lose moitvation to play. That bein said new re fans have low standards )(except for re2 remake) so i would not be surprised if some become a part of dbd community
We don't have low standards.

I'm more of a killer player, though I enjoyed dipping into survivor to chill with friends often. But most of my friends have as of recent lost interest in DBD, so with the new tome I've been forced to solo queue to do challenges and, good lord, it's been by far the least fun I've ever had playing this game.
Face-camping NOED Freddies and Ghostfaces every other match. Claudettes hiding in the corner self-caring for 90 seconds. Sometimes I think Kindred is more of a hindrance than a help because with low-mid rank teammates it means they all freeze up and crouch-walk into the corners of the map while you sit on a hook. People hiding in lockers the whole match, and then just camping the hatch waiting for you to die on your first hook. The most infuriating DBD game I've ever had, where I lost two teammates early, did 3.5 gens by myself and looped the killer in between while the other teammate crouch-walked and hid, only to get NOED'd just as I opened the exit gate and killed while the other teammate waltzed out. And because every other game I wind up getting chased and downed first and die soon after because everyone is self-caring or locker-hiding or crouch-walking around corners while I hit stage 2, I'll never rank past these kinds of players. I'm far from the best survivor player out there, but yeesh.
I don't know how anyone does it. I've finished the survivor half of the new tome's challenges and I don't know if I'll ever queue survivor again. Jeepers creepers.
I play both quite a lot but still mainly play killer. When I am playing survivor I prefer solo queue. I have ever since I got this game so I just got used to it. And me not being competitive I just don't care about what happens. I just have fun and I do very well.

I think the survivors shouldn't start coughing until fully infected. Symptoms of sickness shouldn't be that apparent that soon.
Imagine if just one blast from The Doctor had survivors screaming each second until they finally reached Tier 3 Madness and Snapped Out of It...
Realize your are playing a video game?

@fr0sty1223 said:
Survivors cannot end a chase and that’s a problem. If a killer wants you they will get no matter what you do. You can use ds, dh, balanced landing, sprint burst, loop them, or stun them but they will continue to get to you and there is nothing you can do about it. They only thing that can maybe end a chase is lucky break + iron will and that’s it. If survivors had more ways to end chases and it was up to only the killer to end the chase I think that would solve a lot of problems in the game. For example: it would be a lot harder to tunnel if the survivor had a way to end the chase and actually get away from the killer.
Perfect example of someone who probably hasn't been playing that long.
