I wouldn’t be opposed to having this be on gens albeit slower. It would at least make it a bit more interesting
The thing is it can’t be this rapid on gens because there needs to be periods where survivors can focus on situational awareness.
Or do you mean these “bursts” should appear at the current rate of RNG?

@dspaceman20 said:
That's actually really interesting. They should implement that in actual gameplay.
I agree. Especially if it were either a series of Unnerving skill checks or Overcharge style skill checks.

Yeah there are pre allocated spots for the hatches to spawn. You just gotta remember them all and then patrol them when needed.
This, and listen for it.

How did the survivor use deliverance on 2nd hook?
They weren’t on 2nd hook. They were the 2nd survivor I downed upon hatch closure.

I've used this build before because of a challenge and I am pretty sure that they do stack.
However, do not waste your time running this build. It is not worth it.
Didn’t think it would be amazing. But it is interesting to know that outdoor rope and surveillance means I can hear repairs an additional 16m away.

And why should the Clown ever throw such a bottle at the survivor(s) if he could simply throw it as his own feet if the effects were immediate? There's no reason NOT to make them work instantly.
Sure there is: balance. As it stands Invigorating yourself, switching bottles, and THEN almost immediately Intoxicating a survivor is extremely powerful in a chase. It’s pretty much a 100% guaranteed hit or guaranteed down.
Therefore, for the sake of balance, there needs to be a preventative measure to not have Clown spam this set up in every conceivable circumstance by creating some risk: Survivors can ALSO Invigorate themselves, and cure themselves of intoxication.
With this in mind, keeping things balanced to ensure that Clown has to PLAN how to Invigorate himself before Intoxicating a survivor (or vice versa), conversely The Afterpiece Antidote is further balanced to ensure Clown players aren’t needlessly, and frustratingly accidentally invigorating survivors by adding in an activation delay.
It’s imperative to change ones thinking in order to take advantage of the Antidote. You can’t use them the same as Tonics. They’re to be placed ahead of Clown so that he doesn’t accidentally Invigorate survivors, and so they’re active by the time Clown reaches them.
OR... the 2.5 seconds can be used to switch to the Tonic and plan where THAT will be thrown, rather than wasting some of the Invigorated effect trying to do this with Tonics.

I'd def run it to be stress free from gens alone. I'm a bit tired of sweating to contest gens when the chase is what's fun for me.
Just to clarify, I've never personally run Remember Me. It only works for non Obsession survivors, yeah?
Correct. You gain tokens from hitting the Obsession, but they are immune from the effects of Remember Me. They ideally need to be dead before the gates are powered.
-
@Viciusaurus said:
I haven't play tested it myself, but this sounds pretty brilliant. I need to try this now :0
This was a pretty niche scenario where it completely doomed 3 survivors that left it way too late to attempt trying to open a gate due to prioritising too much altruism.
That said it definitely dooms the last survivor if the hatch is closed on them. It’s a very strong perk now, and buys a LOT of extra time at endgame, especially with Remember Me. I don’t stress about gen rushers now.

Too many people were being selfish last week & I was barely seeing any cakes being used near the end of the event, but this time around there's even more of a reason to use cakes since the profit will be even greater. Please, think of the community & cough up the confectioneries.
I genuinely have none left on any of the characters I like to regularly use.

@Phasmamain said:
The delay is what makes them usable to gain distance. I’d a survivor is holding W then you throw it at them. By the time it activates you’ll get the effect.
It’s really not that hard to do
Exactly. I don’t know how so many don’t get this. If they activate straight away, the survivor gets the benefit. The way they act currently no survivor in their right mind will be stupid enough to hang around to wait for the activation unless they want to be hit by Clown.

yeah Because being slugged in the ground for 4 minutes is such a fun thing for survivors to endure.

Switch hasn’t received the update yet.

No Way Out + Black Box + Remember Me + Blood Warden = never worrying about gen rush ever again.

Because of his base movement speed.

Sorry to revive one of my old posts, but I realised another beautiful thing about the new synergy between OoO & SS, and it seemed more appropriate to add it here than to start a new thread.
Because OoO can give you information on potential perks/add ons the killer is using, you can know what SS will protect you from, depending on any tokens gained (if any). It takes out any guess work over whether it’s still important to get into lockers because of BBQ (for example), or whether you don’t need to worry about Nurses Calling, or I’m All Ears, etc. depending on the number of tokens.
-
Yeah it’s weird

I looked everywhere & I couldn't find any. It's a newer map so I don't see why they didn't add some breakable walls.
I ran Zanshin when I used my first RCPD badge, and nope, definitely no breakable walls anywhere.

Neither.
He’s still the ultimate archetype of a design that’s intended for PC, without any iota of consideration to make him accessible to console/controller players.

@gatsby said:
Stridor was the only reason Spirit had an average play rate. It made her accessible to people that didn't main her.
Now she's probably going to have similar stats to Nurse. No one plays her but mains do very well.
Shouldn’t it be that way though? I was under the impression Spirit is supposed to have a comparatively high skill cap.
Those that are committed to getting better with Spirit will persist, and those being carried by Stridor will move onto another killer.

Is the plan to get yourself banned here as fast as possible?

Allow me to blacklist people so I don't have to play with first-hook quitters
I hate to say it, but with the community at large this would probably also be highly abused. I would guess the majority would blacklist players they can’t win against. In fact I feel confident that it would go hand in hand with those that frequently DC.
- Survivor goes down first
- survivor DC’s
- Survivor blacklists the player playing as killer.
-
@TroyXX said:
God cry some more. It's like no one has ever played a multiplayer game, people won't play the way you want so stop expecting them too.
Any particular reason you’ve created a forum account just to be aggressive and antagonise? I’ve seen a few of your comments across a few threads now. You have nothing nice (or mature) to say so far.
-
@Trickstaaaaa said:
I would rather them keep DC penalty off. And make it so if a player disconnects they pip down an entire pip regardless of what points they have on the system.
Surely you can see how abusable that is?!
I mean it’s already happening isn’t it: people purposely deranking to bully newer/lower ranked players.

@Killing_Time said:
I run Blood Warden & NOED for this very reason sometimes
That’s going to do nothing to Survivors already waiting in a gate.

I would be weird to implement an entire system for blocking out letting survivors bring conflicting addons on an item when its only affects 1 item, and 3 addons (event syringe). Just because that seems like a lot of work for that small of an impact especially when you can maybe just add to the bottom of the addons text boxes does not work if medkit is consumed by another addon first
But this extends to perks as well. Exhaustion add ons conflict with each other. Many perks conflict with No Mither. Yeah sometimes it can be a meme, sometimes we should expect players to be smarter. But newbies often make genuine mistakes like equipping both Sprint Burst & Lithe, completely oblivious that Lithe simply will never ever work in that build.
-
@bjorksnas said:
Nope, Pretty sure only the one in the first addon slot works since the addons consume the medkit when their effect activates the 2nd addon doesn't have a medkit to consume or is already consumed by the first one activating
They already have a system in place whereby (for example) key add ons are impossible to use on a toolbox. Why can’t the moment one add on (or perk) be put in a slot, any conflicting add ons (or perks) are disabled in the same way (until/unless the said add on/perk is removed)?
It surely cant be that hard to implement?

Because despite all the negative things, I like to keep an eye out for the positive stuff (like new killers, survivors etc)
Same. Plus I’m simply insatiable for new DBD content. Probably moreso lately because the string of ranged killers lately has had me hankering more and more for something different

Applause 👏🏻
-
@Jago said:
Lol. They won't leave. Just like a killer will often slug for a 4k or the last bbq stack. Any bonus point is welcome, on the detriment of one side.
Plus you'd gain some chase point if you'd go to them. Best case case you get some hits, worst case you get nothing but some time saved. Whats the issue honestly.
...they’re already AFK most of the time after opening a gate.
The survivors are waiting for a player that is even at the controls.
-
@SilentPill said:
Or…just force them out? You are already taking a loss, take the teabags like a man if they are trying to waste your time.
Myself, and most others have already walked away from the controller or keyboard though at that point.
I’d LIKE to come back after getting a drink, or taking a slash, sit down and start looking for another match.
Not then spend half a minute trudging over from my spot, force them out, then wait another half minute to get back to the “find match” screen.
And for the record, opening a gate IS taking and accepting a loss.
It’s open. It’s a free pass. GTFO.

@xenotimebong said:
I don’t see what problem this is intended to address. If you know they’re faking, you just have to call their bluff and wait for them to commit. The survivor on the hook is on a timer, they have to commit at some point.
This. Or just hit them.

Not my fault you don't understand what I'm saying. My problem was never about him sucking. That's the least of my problems. Would I want him too be strong? Of course. But that's not what I'm talking about. My problem is the accuracy to the RE3R with his power. He doesn't feel like Nemesis. Oni is Nemesis.
Never once did I see Oni with a rocket launcher.

As someone who plays FPS games with a controller and plays Trickster on PC with a mouse I can say that I feel you. There's no way I could have the same kind of control I do with my mouse when I play Trickster with a controller especially if going up against PC people who can make quicker movements. I give props to anyone that can play Trickster well on console/controller.
I don’t think those players exist.
-
@OniWantsYourMacaroni said:
Trickster is so awful on console it's not even funny.
I really tried to play him,because i like his design and power but damn.
You either have high sensitivity and need to focus so damn much just to get a down or even an injure with his power or you play on low sensitivity to make aiming a bit better but now turning around feels awful.
You just can't win with him.
We really need proper controller settings but considering how it took BHVR 3 whole years just to double sensitivity we'll have to wait a bit longer
Sigh... I’m just so disappointed how inaccessible Trickster is. I love almost everything about this game. Sure I have my gripes about certain things being unbalanced. But that’s not the same thing as something (Trickster) being mechanically impossible to use.

They've constantly miss the mark with Trickster, he's supposed to be Spamming knifes not trick shotting wich is why touching the fire rate, the aim and number of knifes available has made him much weaker. It's meaningless if it takes 2 less knifes for a health state if you can't hit at all, don't even need to mention the faster Decay...
They made Main Event more useful but then increase the number of hits required to fill the bar and reduce the number of total knives you have... He's two abilities are countering each other. The killer is a mess, he counters himself before survivors counter him. He only works for Camping right now which is what Survivors are complaining about...
Another case of BHVR doing pretty good job.
It makes me angry. Trickster may as well have been just a PC exclusive.
-
Or get rid of recoil. One or the other.
-
@HollowsGrief said:
They need to remove his recoil, RNG cucking you from getting long range hits is extremely dumb and it's honestly just a stupid mechanic to begin with, my ability to aim and their ability to dodge should be the only factors in if a knife hits or not, not some random sway no one has any control over.
Yeah this. Quite frankly it pisses me off how unfriendly he is to console players still after these buffs.
