But correct me if I'm wrong, Not having a Terror Radius doesn't remove Red Stain does it? But Undetectable does right?
I don't believe you lose your red stain when using the park. But yes Undectable does make you lose it the red stain and makes you immune to aura perks.
-
It technically does give the effect already, since you (the killer) have no terror radius for the time being.
It would be a nice QoL/Buff and makes sense anyway
The oblivious effect wouldn't make sense, since the survivor has your terror radius

Correct, I was just referring to it as "classic robe" because that's essentially what it is for all intents and purposes, despite the fact it's not the movie robe but rather the Funworld costume.
Oh okay. When think of the classic robe, mind always go to the movie version. Since that's what I consider the classic one
-
They technically shouldn't counteract each other, since one actually heals you and the other gives the borrow time effect

I know they don't have the rights to do it, but I'd love to see Sidney Prescott from the Scream films added. Now that we're getting a classic Ghostface robe, adding Sidney would be perfect.
That's not the classic robe from the movies for ghostface. Its just a version funworld owns and is similar/close to it

Not how I remember it. I remember thousands of angry posts from salty players whining because they lost a match because of P2P and how the devs are just cheapskates who refuse to pay for servers to give the players good games. Please don't try to rewrite history.
I'm not saying people didn't do all those things and didn't ask for them. I just don't personally believe the complaints is what made the devs actually decide to do it.
It was them wanting the game on the switch for more money and sorts. And realizing that dedicated servers were gonna be needed to do so.
The game could've easily kept going without servers. It's survived three years without them

We ASKED for the dedicated servers. Stop putting it on the Devs. The game was BUILT for P2P not dedicated. OF COURSE there will be kinks to iron out making such a big change. Just be patient.
It's crazy how many ppl are mad about something the players harassed the devs for.
Not every player asked for them.
And the only reason we probably got them to me is because the Nintendo switch version them has to have it to be playable on that platform.
Not cause the devs wanted to satisfy the players needs
-
The Game map is definitely not killer sided to me. I would say it's balance, with some spots and portions of the map having survivor sided things.
And specific killers make it a killer sided map

More like will survivors ever get a new item period.
Same old stuff for 3 years, probably for 4 years too

I just want a red and green sweater. Even remake freddy wore red and green.
DbD remake Freddy gets red and black though?...
Apparently the license holders liked Freddy with those colors in dbd, so it's really out of their control.
Nothing dbd could really do. That could possibly come out as a outfit someday since its not the main outfit you start with.
And their likely taking to the license holders about the Quentin face rework. I guarantee new cosmetics are coming

I'm holding out hope it's part of the Nightmare Edition that is coming out. It's probably not. But a boy can dream.
The devs already tried to get that version before getting the remake one, so very unlikely we'll ever get it.
Also why do you want it so bad, not like it's going to actually look that Freddy because of likeness reasons
-
They should've just reworked OoO in the first place and not made this new status effect that now unnecessarily nerfed a bunch of survivor perks that were mediocre to begin with.
And OoO is still a problem on every other killer who don't have the status effect😒
Especially Freddy when a survivor is in the dream world
-
I want an update too

If she didn't lose the corrupt purge after being stunned, she could still hit the survivor after eating the pallet stun (with enduring). That would be annoying, unfair and unfun.
No she wouldn't be able to, you still have to charge up your power like 1/4 of the way to use it. Otherwise sometimes the vomit has no hitbox for unknown reasons

I mean, fair enough that I probably ought to dig up some actual citations for my claim before I talk, but anecdotally I know it's come up in the past.
I'm not trying to say people never asked for them, they most certainly did. That's not why have them though to me

It's likely that the Switch port forced the issue, sure. But that doesn't change the reality of the situation.
It doesn't change what's happening now but I don't think we have the servers now because people were constantly asking for them.
So personally I think people have a right to complain because of that
-
@Rydog said:
Everyone: Give us dedicated servers!
Behaviour: OK, but this is going to take time. And it's going to be highly imperfect at first, obviously, because we can't identify and target specific latency issues without live testing with an actual, real-world server load. We have to collect data to be able to iterate on it.
Everyone: OMG SURPRISED PIKACHU JPG! WAVE YOUR MAGIC WAND AND MAKE IT PERFECT! LITERALLY DO THE IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE BOY AM I ANGRY AND DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE REALITY OF NETWORK STRESS TESTS AT ALL!
tl;dr They can't "just stop the tests" and also fix everything that's wrong. That's not how any of this works. Some player inconvenience is unfortunately the cost of progress in a major dedicated server changeover like this.
At this point it seems like we only got dedicated servers cause they were doing the Nintendo switch version which required them since the system cant handle being the host.
Same thing for optimization for console as the switch would never have been playable if it was anything like before the December patch. So they had to do some optimizing. They clearly didn't care 2 years before then, constantly saying they're aware of it
-
Nurse will likely see no play on console after these changes, also coming from a console player here
This will only make her harder, and those add-ons that supposedly help newer players and console players would still require you to always have those add-ons which isn't realistic especially if you don't play often
-

Adrenaline and NoeD are fun?
Damn, guess that means Decisive and Ruin are also fun to go against too.
Adrenaline is fun for most survivors I assume. And NOED is fun for killers. . . even if not fun for the other side
Wouldn't you agree with that?

No, Legion got nerfed because people exploited him that he’d just be a disgusting killer to go against
I know and understand why legion got changed, but the devs nerfed and change everything survivors complained about for legion. Even changes that no longer made sense after some other changes.
He was nerfed overall, despite the devs constantly saying he's been improved which is a lie

Honestly the one green addon that causes survivors to scream is pretty cool. Imo it should be base.
I guess it's cool, but why ever use it. Any addon that increases Bloodpoints gain are kinda known to never be good. Or they give you a very negative effect to your power

TBH, I just like when stuff changes in the game, regardless of whether it is a buff or Nurse...er...nerf :3
I like the 'learning' aspect of video games, which is why I am so into fighters (if anyone ever wants to be completely destroyed at SFV, DBZF, BBxTAG, or BBCF, hit me up...BBxTAG and BBCF are restricted to PS4 only for me, though).
It's nice to state your opinions and all that, but stating that this is definitely going to kill her without seeing it in action is just hysteria.
You mean like how a bunch of people said MoM was going to be dumb op before it was released and it ending up being true.
And now as been nerfed in to oblivion :)

@ad19970 said:
Survivors have a slightly better chance of breaking line of sight, that won't make Nurse useless. I'm quite sure she will still be viable against really good survivors teams. She just won't 4k almost constantly in the right hands.
Also, survivor mains won once again? That's just not fair. Killers have received many buffs in the past, you make it sound like survivors dictate what gets buffed and what nerfed. That couldn't be further from the truth. The devs do try to listen to both sides though, not just killer mains.
Every thing that happened with legion was mostly because of survivors.
And all their changes were survivor sided and didn't improve legion in anyway, made him worse if not the worse killer depending on who you ask
-
Console nurses just got even worse now
RIP

Nurse add-on changes are absolutely atrocious. I would never use a single one of those add-ons.

OMG, WEVE BEEN LIED TOO!
FFS, some of you guys are as bad as russian bots in your misinformation.
I'm talking about regarding any buffs and changes to solo survivors so their on par with swf. Not the game in general or killer perks/powers.
Geez calm down
-
@Kilmeran It is strange. Death garden is doing many things right and that we want the devs to be doing but is a failing game regardless. (Also the game was extremely poorly advertised, not surprised it's failing)
And DBD the opposite of those things. Not updating regularly, poor coding, bad dedicated servers, where they choose the focus on things, ect.
Death garden, coming to consoles if it ever does might save it.
-
@Bleediss said:
Seems like it would just lead survivors to taking more perks that killers would call "unfun".
To be fair very little survivors use those perks anyway, so would anything really change

Seems to have been forgotten easily and the many suggestions the community have given them also seems to be ignored as well. I doubt will see any progress with it anytime soon

@Kilmeran said:
@SpacingLlamas Exactly!
And for years BHVR resisted Dedicated Servers and stated it was not on the plate. Until they decided to port to the Switch, which requires Dedicated Servers. That changed their mind, and now they're scrambling since they obviously want to maintain a consistent build across all platforms. Particularly if they want to ever implement cross-play between all four platforms down the line, like many other games are now doing.
I've heard that death garden dedicated servers are pretty good and being their still from BHVR studios, I want to hope and believe that the devs could do the same.
Though that game was built along side with dedicated servers but still
-
@Kilmeran said:
@SpacingLlamas In my experience, and bear in mind that when I worked in the game industry networking and servers were not my area by any stretch of the human imagination, you have a game coded for P2P, and are moving it into Dedicated Servers well into its commercial lifespan. On top of that, you're doing this in such a way that, unlike if you had the servers during a closed Alpha, closed Beta, and then Open Beta phases pre-launch, you have to deal with getting all the Netcode correct and damn near flawless under Live conditions.
My expectations were very tempered from the initial announcement. This is not a small undertaking. Most large studios don't do it this way. And BHVR hasn't exactly been known for their coding work on DbD so far. No offense to them, it just is what it is on that subject.
Can they pull it off? Sure, yes they can. But only time will tell.
A similar thing kinda happen to the F13 game with the pc version having dedicated servers and the consoles version didn't at launch and up to a year after the launch.
Expect that the game was always built with dedicated servers. As PC had a beta with the servers months before. So when the consoles went from p2p to the servers it was a smooth transition and the game felt a thousands better. Because the game was always built/made with dedicated servers in mind unlike dbd.

@Kilmeran said:
@MJ_Out Just keep in mind, BHVR stated that the DC system will not be in place for the Phase One official roll-out of Dedicated Servers. Once they officially roll them out, there are several phases of further tweaks and features they are implementing before they get to the DC Punishment system.
So, the DC issue will not be addressed from the jump.
Just want to put that out there so people tap down their expectations that as soon as dedicated Servers are launched, DC'ers will get their due. That won't be the case. It will likely be months later before that system comes. Most likely sometime in the first half of 2020, from the way it sounded.
Seems like a lot of people are expecting dedicated servers to fix a whole bunch of things, which won't be case and only anger them more.
I've lowered my expectations a lot for these servers and expect to be disappointed and let down whenever they do come out.
For lag, hitboxes, ect.
And of course DC's

Obviously his FoV would be different than other killers.
Dunno why people keep thinking he would work like every other killer lol
If the devs were willing to make the demogorgon work in the game. Making a new rig/body structure for it, then I think they would and could do the same for chucky if they really want him.

I like these ideas. They would be much needed changes for ghostface and make his add-ons more interesting. Especially his ultra-rare add-ons which I don't really like in their current state

I wouldn't mind the introduction of PC either. As long as you had the option to turn auto aim off.
I wouldn't be entirely against it, but I think the devs would need to do many things before hand to level the playing field.
Like you said, the auto aim changes and other things like
- optimization (their still failing to do)
- PC players getting specific advantages playing at low graphics settings (like red stain going through walls)
- Controller sensitivity (just gotten worse on ps4)
And I feel like some more things as well. But if they were to do all things, then sure I'd be up for trying it at least
-
I always kinda wanted slenderman, thought he be an interesting killer to have. I be all for it
-
I think it be good to do it, but only with consoles

Devs: Who??

I play it mainly on xbox one x, but have it on pc too. The frame drops on xbox are terrible, you cant properly play sometimes and there are a lot of bugs since the recent update. Im really asking myself why does the devs have a qa team, if every update results in a crazy amount of bugs :/
I play on X1X too and honestly it's not that bad for the most part usually. Though demogorgon has horrible lag and has many frame skips
-
@Nicholas said:
They really need to also announce what they plan to do for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. I think it was about two years ago they intended to offer and upgraded experience on these consoles but nothing so far.
They did say that. I read an article/blog about a few months after the X1X came out saying it would happen eventually. Of course never did

DBD of course came out in 2016 prior to the switch itself being released. They had also been working on the PS4 and Xbox versions which came out 3 months after the Switch.
For a small dev team they have to put resources into what may sell. The switch well that was a risk for Nintendo as the last console didn't do very well and I would bet many devs thought the same way and held off until it sold the numbers needed to justify investing time to port games for it.
3rd party games were never really popular or on Nintendo systems to begin with even the super popular systems. At least to me
More likely due to the systems hardware limitations being even lower then xbox/Playstation.
Even the Nintendo switch hardware isn't good and has limitations, struggling to run even some of their own games.
So I wouldn't blame it all on switch being released much later

Didn't fifa come to it later aswell? And dark souls...and other stuff?
The switch is the king of "this game is also here now!"
I guess your right for the switch this is new. So then switch players should be used to this for all their games (3rd party games)
There's nothing to be mad about then, you know your system is late to the game to me anyway
