I love the krasue as well. Been playing her since her release but she definitely needs some love. I dont how you can change her currently without her being as strong as she was before. But also not in this bad state now

Unfortunately Michael is a licensed killer, so from what I understand, any possible changes to his power that are not bug fixes have to be vetted by the license holders.
Meaning, yeah he will probably not be getting charged for a long time. I'm still salty they removed stalking in tier 3, it had a unique red visual and was useful for finding immersed claudettes in bushes.
This isn't true. Devs have the choice of changing the killer power whenever they want. Obviously they want it to stay in line with the license killer lore but otherwise nothing stops them from changing it

This comment from Peanits aged really well...

normally this would be funny, but this is just outright sad and pathetic

I think that's an interesting idea but you wouldn't be able to use multiple hex perks together then. The amount of totems in a game would definitely have to be increased, maybe to 10 totems instead of 5.
Or even create new offerings that increase the amount of dull totems (maybe have a downside, like totems can be cleansed faster). Or do both.

this has been a bug for like a year now lol. surprise more people dont mention it

Not_Queen is answering questions on Discord now. This stood out to me, though. I'm not sure if I missed the context of her answer, and I'm hoping I am, but it sounds like they can revert the changes--but won't?
However, to be fair, Not_Queen also said:
"I am trying to get you answers but there are discussions happening at the moment between the team and I have to wait until these are resolved and a plan is cleared out before I can communicate about it."
So, maybe there's still a chance that things will be changed.
So it was initially a lie that they couldn't revert the changes, to now they can revert the changes but they dont want to cause it would require actual time and work.
Wow these devs continue to shock me by their incompetence and inability to admit failure
-
Interesting changes. I definitely don't its exactly perfect the way it was changed for now
-
I would agree with the healing and totem parts. If you can't do gens or unhook a survivor I think thats enough at least to me.
-
No one is forcing them to release it and yet they still are. I legitimately dont understand why its still coming

The ‘get used to it’ quote put me off. I will be out if the new UI goes through. Not because of how bad it is, but because of the noncommunication and committing to what a majority don’t want/didn’t ask for. It will show me what I need to see if they push it on us.
They could’ve waited to force it on us until one of those ‘future additions’ were added so we could see why we are forced to deal with impeded vision and scattered information. Feels like they’re losing touch with the fan base and how much information we have to take in and process to function well at this game.
And hud changes are going through anyway. Who could have saw this coming🤷

Well, they completely reworked Bill's face, so anything could happen.
All they did with Bill was change the length of his beard. I wouldnt call that a rework

I'd love it. Devs I believe said nope. Prolly to not split the playerbase.
Devs said its not something they plan on doing at the moment but is a possibility in the future. Also not to long ago they had a survey (I think it was just about crossplay; not sure on that part) and it asked what systems would you like to just have crossplay on to versus against.

They cleared stated that's not how it works anymore.
They have stated that whoever has the better connection to the server will have the better "hit" or no hit.
This should render high ping and VPN users completely null and void from getting hits.
But it's all a lie.
To my understanding it only matters if someone as high ping. If the survivor has for example 60ms and the killer has 75ms then that isnt a big enough of a ping difference to affect the hit. Cause of course someone will always have a higher or lower ping then someone by nature

"In situations where the Killer has a poor connection to the server, the server will step in and evaluate their hits to make sure that they are fair. If it is determined that the hit only landed due to the Killers weak connection (I.e. The Killer and the Survivor were too far away for the hit to land), the hit is rejected, and the Survivor does not take any damage. In simple terms, the player with a poor connection is at a disadvantage, no matter which side they are playing."
I personally don't think that my 65/63ms ping in this situation was the worse connection between myself and the killer, therefore the hits shouldn't have been granted.
Only thing I can say is you don't know what the killer ping was. Without that info there's not much to go on to blame for the hit.
Also I wouldn't be surprised if the hit validation just doesn't work🤷
-
This has been possible for 3 years, ever since huntress came out. Its been a know thing that the devs have accepted and we're okay with.
And ever since Pig came out this topic has been more relevant, and still the Devs did nothing. Nothing about consistency was brought up. If anything people believed jigsaw boxes skillchecks should be affected by lullaby to contain consistency with madness 3 skillchecks.
And now all of sudden its being changed. . . lol okay, definitely no reason for that.
The game balance decisions in this game seriously makes my head hurts
-
The grass doesn't have as much density then as before the reworked maps.
Also the grass looks more plastic and fake looking. On top of the brighter colors of the grass.
And also the floor/ground is much brighter too. It's not a darker green-ish/black floor
If the Devs change at least the first two options of what do said back, then it would be better

@ceeroover said:
I feel the same on the graphics thing, but maybe it's just because I'm used to the old graphics for years. For me, the objects and ground merged better together in the old version. Now the gras and the rocks don't really melt together with the ground, but ofc the textures on the trees and rocks are much better now. Also the lighting was different and I also liked that the realms had a characteristic color scheme.
Old shelter woods looks a millions times better. Only thing good I can give new shelter woods is that the ground/floor textures looks much better and more realistic.
Otherwise looks worse then the old. It doesn't look bad just not better then the old version which is the whole point of updating it. So they already failed to me

Hopefully something like:
"Whilst in a chase, press [button] to gain the Undetectable status effect for the duration of the chase. The Undetectable status effect remains for 5 seconds after a chase, and remains if a chase is re-initiated.
Beast of Prey has a cooldown of 80/70/60 seconds.
Gain 50% more points in the Hunter category. The Bloodpoints are applied post-trial."
I always felt that if bloodlust was eventually removed someday, that beast of prey should just keep the bloodlust mechanic as a unique thing for itself. Maybe make it a bit weaker then it is now, but if a player really needs bloodlust then let them waste a perk slot for it. Still giving the Undetectable status effect too
-
I wish the maps would have a more unique grass/foliage to it. They all feel the same to me with that same light-greenish grass.
I definitely prefer the darker grass we have in the older maps. Despite every map having that same grass, the maps still felt more unique then they are starting to now
-
Just make it an automatic thing and if someone wants to stop struggling and kill themselves then they just press a button

I think they said December, but dont take my word on that for serenity

It will be available at launch, but the next-gen patch will come at a later date.

I haven't been using it lately but it's a great perk. Loved using it when I was first leveling up Nancy

Yeah,i kinda knew that.
It just feels like it is capped at 30 FPS sometimes
I'm sure at times it does get that low. I wont deny that

Even if they would do that,it would take years to do so because not every player will be able to get a ps5 right away
The framerate on consoles isn't capped at 30fps. Devs already confirmed both the new Xbox & PlayStation will be 60fps @ 4k
We interviewed Behaviour Interactive, the development team behind Dead by Daylight, to discuss their plans for the game's future. -
Can consoles at least get a steady 60fps first plz before some ray-tracing makes it run at 10fps
-
I thinks its just the grass textures looking the same. Also the coloring for the maps are different. Like the Badham maps dont have much of a purple tint to it. And the Macmillan maps dont have this very bright blue color to it either.
I think changing the grass textures for each realm would help give its uniqueness back, but yeah the maps are starting to feel the same just with different structures.

Thanks, but I have level 1-63 rewards open. But 64-70 is not, although I have completed all the challenges on 4 levels of the current tome.
Completing all the challenges doesn't get you to level 70. You still have to play a lot of matches/games to reach it
-
I'm pretty sure the no terror radius on hook as been a thing for a little while now. That's how long its been I forgot its not suppose to be that way lol
-
Sometimes crossplay is fine and I have a decent fun time. But most of the time it's awful. The survivors I match seem to be even worse then xbox survivors (I play on xbox).
I just turned crossplay off and the que times for both sides are fine and not long. So I guess a lot of Xbox players have the same feeling as me

Exactly what i said in the old thread. Your optimization will be in the form of new consoles rather than hiring someone to actually work on the game.
Literally nothing will change, the game is just being brute forced by stronger hardware.
Yep, figures as much.
That's pretty much what the Xbox One X and Ps4 Pro versions are doing. They have no enchantments made by the devs. Pure brute force from their extra power

Who knows? You know as much as any of us: i.e., that an article said it and quoted Cote.
I mean, Cote could straight up say it in the next Dev stream, but until we see what DbD is like on next-gen, none of us know if it's actually true and happening like that or not.
But until we see the actual proof with the next-gen console and DbD in play, at this point I'd take anything BHVR says about DbD Console with a heavy grain of salt.
I feel the same way.
Which is why I had to post this and see if this would somehow shockingly be true. And I pleasantly be wrong about the devs actually doing that
-
@Todgeweiht said:
Bruh, there is an announcement in the top of the forum saying that DBD is coming to next gen consoles.
I know, I meant specifically the 4k 60fps part if that was true. Not if it was coming to next-gen at all

Here's a list of positives or things that benefit Freddy to me
- Snares
- Slowdown like Clown gas
- More similar to Hag's trap add-on "water-logged shoe" that slow survivors but better then her's
- No penalty for placing snares unlike Trapper or Hag (& and maybe even Demo portals) with similar trapping abilities
- Only 8 available, but placing more then 8 just replaces the very first one you put out; kinda infinite in a way
- Fake pallets
- no penalty placing them
- only 8 as well (if I remember correctly)
- Able to be placed anywhere a pallet normally can spawn unlike Doctor fake pallets which require pallets to be broken first and only can be placed on broken pallets spots (can be seen as a positive or negative depending on the person)
- Dream world
- Freddy has oblivious status effect when your in the Dream World which can be a positive or negative for specific perks
- Many slow down add-ons which can be paired with perks and stacks with them
- Waking up would only avoid the slowdown add-ons affecting you at that point (still be affected by the perks when awake not making a huge difference)
- Can be harder to see for some survivors (not good visibility)
- Survivors glow bright white; makes easier to spot them; harder to lose in a chase
- Awake survivors cant see Freddy further then 32m (freddy comes in and out of visibility within I think 20m-32m); wont know he's coming unless have spine chill
- Has an add-on that makes it 24m he cant be seen further then that
- Borrowed-time doesn't activate
- Survivors will always fall asleep every 60s (90s if survivor use clock) and can be affected by Freddy's many abilities
- Being in the Dream World is not ever really avoidable; Freddy hits put you in Dream World, neglecting anything you done to not be in it
- Clocks which can wake a survivor up is the farthest from them when first falling asleep, making it usually not worth it to wake up that way
- Add-on which makes waking up by a skill check not possible (only other way is by other survivors, clocks, or being hooked)
- Gen teleportation to any non-finished generator
- Many perks can be used with this to stop gen progression; regress it; or just find another survivor right away
- Survivors in the Dream World increase the rate at which Gen teleportation cools-down faster; (get to use it faster)
- Even if a you teleport to a bad location, survivors being in the Dream World makes the ability come back faster and their are add-ons that increase that effect
- Freddy also has an add-on that makes the obsession permanently stay in the Dream World
That seems like a lot of positives to me. I honestly don't think Freddy abilities has any downsides besides the cooldown on his gen teleport but like I already stated it can easy neglected due to his add-ons or just having survivors constantly fall asleep with no effort on your side.
Even if you take away the add-on advantages (which every Freddy uses anyway so no point in acting like a Freddy plays with no add-ons), Freddy still has a lot going for him. Too much if you ask me

Old Legion lasted around 5 months I believe, most games patch stuff like that within the week
Legion continued to get changes even after that update, so depends of if you consider that "legion" patch to have been the fixed for the character at that time. If not I would say legion got to a somewhat okay state at the mid-chapter update before Oni came out (pretty sure it was that update). Legion got some decent good changes and felt a bit better to play, but still annoying at least to me to face against
-
You can only disable crossplay in the main menu, before you click to play as survivor or killer
-
@joshuashep22 said:
so can someone actually answer my question.
I dont see why there wouldn't be a survivor, especially since its an original chapter. Wont be any restrictions or anything holding them back
-
If its true, it would be for all consoles including PC.
As PC already has crossplay
-
-
Devs already said they wont skip a chapter just for that. Cause different people work on different things and it wouldn't make bug fixing any better blah blah, all that stuff.
So screw the game possibly and legitimately getting better I guess
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
I would like that as well for console. I have no problem with crossplay overall but I dont really wanna face PC players most of the time.
-
The Devs did say they wanted to incorporate the upside down more into Demo power but due to timing they couldn't. Which is why only the exit gates get the upside down effect.
This goes back to my personal opinion that the devs need to do 3 chapters a year instead of four. Put quality over quantity, cause to me more of these chapters quality have been poor or just okay. There's been no real improvement to have been making chapters for this long now.
Sometimes you'll get amazing looking maps but poor gameplay in the map or vice versa. Sometimes a good balance and fun power set for killers or only 1 of the 2. Almost always now the perks (for survivor/killer) and killer add-ons are straight trash. I point to billy reworked add-ons as the best newest example.
Maybe every other chapter you'll get 1 useable perk for both sides. And the other perks are too situational (even when the situation happens it barely makes a difference), requires another or other perks to be good (which to me still makes it a garage perk if it requires another perk to do anything), or its just straight dumpster fire.
-
On Windows PC since there's crossplay already there, you can still face the killer and survivor regardless. The perks icons are changed if they have licensed content on them and are base perks for that platform.
There's nothing that prevents you from facing against them. You'll just never play them yourself.
-
L4D is one of my all time favorite video game franchise. That video reminds me how good L4D music and scores are!!
Love for DbD to revisit it. So much missed potential when they only did Bill, though I still appreciate having him in the game.
And now with legendary skins, they could add every L4D character in DBD.
