Soul Guard is going to be OP as hell with certain combinations. DS+Dead Hard/Sprint Burst+Soul Guard = 60 seconds of invincibility. You try to wait out the DS, Soul Guard into DH/SB. You pick them up immediately, DS. Add in Unbreakable or No Mither in case the Killer doesn't have a Hex active. Shoot, you could add in Unbreakable anyways for a faster revive. There are too many stackable second chance perks for Survivors in the game. Killers can't even stack most of their perks.
-
If DBD is coming to the PS5, I really hope that it being a new system won't force me to start all over again, even though I'll be on the same account.

You will know your mmr? Is it for sure?
I don't really want to know my mmr. I expect I will be dissapointed. Also I wouldn't want there achievments to get high mmr, because I remember I was struggling with rank 1 earlier.
No, you'll only know your rank. Rank will also become meaningless and only exist for bragging rights and the PC achievements. Matchmaking will be determined by your hidden MMR.
-
You're the only person that will see your rank unless you tell it to everyone.
-
So getting tunnel vision on a Survivor is a good thing now? I thought you were supposed to try and spread the pressure by trying to hit all nearby Survivors, not overly committing to a chase, and keeping an eye on multiple gens at once.
-
I use Thrilling Tremors on Freddy. It's also on my Wraith but that's because the bloodweb refuses to give me Nurse's Calling.
-
Why the hell do we keep getting grab challenges when grabs are broken?! Every Tome has given us at least one grab challenge. Grabbing two Survivors off gens with Discordance in a single game doesn't sound that bad, but then you remember that grabs barely work. Level 4 has a challenge that wants you to grab six Survivors (not all in one game). It would be very simple if grabs actually worked. I think the Archive team either really likes grabs for some reason, has access to a build where grabs are perfect, or don't play enough to realize how broken grabs are. Those are the only possible explanations for why we keep getting challenges that revolve around a broken game mechanic.
-
It depends on the player, your playstyle, and your platform. I like to play Doctor, Freddy, Demogorgon, Plague, and Wraith at rank 1 on PS4 and I don't really tunnel or camp. Salt messages are quite rare for me (even though I play two of the most hated Killers in the game), and I mainly get them when I don't tunnel or camp at all. I get more compliments than I do salt!
-
Definitely! It looks really good, like it came from big fans of the game. I love how accurate the costumes are.
One question though, is Doctor planned to be in your fan film? He's my favorite Killer.
-
This plus a BBQ stack. Emblems not counting DCs is further proof that the 2.6.0 Emblem changes (when Devout had the hook actions requirement added) were rushed and weren’t tested very much. If one person DCs, then you have to three hook all of the Survivors, which can lead to unoptimal plays.
BBQ stacks not counting has baffled me for ages. I thought it would have been obvious to have an anti-DC system built into it.

Nah... plague is even worse for the adept.
You're right, but she's not really an instadown Killer. She still has to break the Survivor with her power. I was only looking at Killers with an attack that would instantly down a Survivor from the start.

We've mentioned this in the past, but mobile is a completely different beast and won't be receiving crossplay with PC and consoles. It wouldn't be fair to pair someone using touch controllers to someone with a mouse and keyboard or a controller, and there's a lot of mobile specific changes to improve the quality of life of playing DBD on the go that wouldn't mesh well with the core platforms.
What about the mobile cosmetics? If we've unlocked them on our mobile account, will we eventually be able to use them on our console/PC account?
-
I use it for BP or if there's a perk that I absolutely cannot wait to unlock and need it right then and there.
-
Getting an Adept for an instadown Killer in high ranks is hell because you are basically an M1 Killer. Billy and Oni are hit the hardest by this because they cannot use their powers like they should.

That four second stun is going to happen no matter what. Frenzying a couple of extra Survivors isn't going to change that. If three Survivors are about to pop a gen but then he Frenzies them... They can still pop the gen.
Even if Legion has Pop and other gen defense perks? That's 25% of the gen on one kick and he'll know if you're coming back.

A bunch of people are telling me this, and my reply is always the same: It's Legion. He gets his power back in 20 seconds AND his power doesn't do anything. At that point, Dead Harding against him only accomplishes the act of denying him a bonus 250 Deviousness points in 95% of situations.
Those 5% can be important situations though. Like if the last gen is almost finished and Legion has Pop, him having to deal with that four second stun could be the difference between you guys finishing that gen and escaping or him using Pop and making a comeback that results in more dead Survivors.
Also, it gets you more points if you're on death hook.
-
Time waster during certain situations. Legion being knocked out of FF could be the difference between a 4 man escape and certain death.

I get the feeling that there’s some questions that the devs or community just don’t want answered for some reason.
I asked a question on the 3.6.0/Chapter 15 Q&A about a Doctor change in that patch that implied seeing illusions in tier 1 and it got deleted. It wasn’t long at all, 2-3 sentences at the most. I thought that meant they only wanted Deathslinger and Zarina questions and ignored the other Killers. When the stream happened, they answered a couple questions about the patch itself that had nothing to do with the Chains of Hate DLC. That told me that something bigger was going on. I just wanted to know if something was badly worded or if there was a bug preventing a change from going through.
If you look in the current Q&A thread, there’s a thread about hook perks not working with PH (not mine) and one about PH keeping his instadown or not (mine). Both legitimate questions, both being downvoted to hell. The community seems to only want perk and map questions answered.

It works similarly to Play with Your Food from the Killer's perspective. They would want to start a chase and then break it quickly to counterplay
New Killers won't understand that though. They'll be frustrated at how one Survivor is running so fast. Experienced Killers will be able to easily counter this by just quickly breaking the chase. You won't really get to use this perk very much. This perk will also have the same problem that DS and BT have of being OP during the endgame.
-
This lasts for the entire chase? I think that's too long and could be hell for newer players.
-
@CakeDuty Hell yeah, screw Haddonfield.
-
Yes because right now it’s promoting DCs, which is something that should never happen in any video game. It’s very sad to see people defending DCing.
-
I'm not sure. BBQ is my favorite perk in the game, but I don't want to have two wasted perk slots in case I end up using the cages more often. It's the same thing with Pop. I also heard that you only gain BBQ stacks on the first hook, meaning that if you send them to the cage on the first down but hook them on their second or third, then you won't get the stack.
-
One game means everything I guess.
-
Optimize consoles first and then we can talk. 360s are a major problem here because they mess with the FPS.
-
Whenever Doctor and Freddy hit a Survivor, they should laugh.
-
I think everyone will have unique chase music eventually.
-
It's the only sound alert Demo should have. The others are giving the Survivors too much information and mess with its Undetectable status.
-
We need a Godzilla-themed Demogorgon cosmetic.
Don't really have any ideas for Nancy or Steve cosmetics though, my lazy ass still hasn't watched the show.
-
Pretty sure it does.
-
Too many Survivors use them as crutches. Doctor used to have an add-on that would inflict Exhaustion in Madness tier 3, but got removed because the devs “didn’t like it”. I don’t buy that reason at all. I think the bad Survivors won in that situation. Don’t be surprised if the other Killers lose theirs.
-
None because I’m Doctor and I’ll zap their asses!

Well, legacy makes hiding harder aswell (or lets say blending) but many people still use it because it looks cool. Those who are that tryhard that even cosmetics matter to much for them dont have to use it

Good. No one buys Pink Haired, Green Haired Nea, Botanist Legacy Claudette, Red Jacket Adam, Shirtless David, etc, etc, etc, etc because they want to hide.
And those are top selling outfits.

The great thing about it is that Mcote openly said that cosmetics should be pay to lose and should not offer an advantage meaning as long as its sparkly then it wouldn't be breaking the stealth mechanic of the game people could still play stealthy they would just not use the cosmetic.
Yes, you don’t have to equip it. But won’t it be disappointing to the people who don’t want it? You get another useless cosmetic. That’s the reason people don’t prestige today! The lantern glow effect is fine, but give us something else to go with it, something that everyone will use during their playtime like more shards or BP.
-
Scrapped Tape for Doctor. Replace it with the old Obedience add-on that increased Snap Out of It and gave Exhaustion in tier 3. I loved using that add-on and hated seeing it go in Doc’s rework. The removal of Obedience was also disappointing as it meant the Exhaustion effect likely wasn’t coming back. It wasn’t OP as long as you didn’t rely on Exhaustion to win. I loved it when I was chasing a Survivor and they tried pulling off a dumb play because they thought their Exhaustion perk would save them but it couldn’t because they were Exhausted! Fun times.

The effect also made hiding harder. I don’t think that would be a good idea, at least by itself.

Hold your horses. Hardest one is perform cooperative action for 60 seconds.
How? Just repair gens with other Survivors. One gen with two Survivors takes 44 seconds. Just do that twice and you should have the challenge done.

This challenge hurts the game so much. Literally seeing Dwight's just coming up to me and not doing any objectives. Heck some are literally ratting out their teammates. Dev's please never let any form of this challenge return again.
It’s too late, level 4 brings back this challenge except it adds the additional requirement of escaping.
-
Doctor is strong but balanced.
The FPS dropping is a problem for both sides. It's not just the Survivors.
You got unlucky with the totem. He was just checking it to see if anyone was on it. Try to destroy all five of them before endgame to prevent NOED from activating. If you can't, then wait until he's gone before you start to cleanse it.
When he shocks you, don't stand there like an idiot. Run! It doesn't hinder your movement speed. If he spams shock therapy then he'll lose distance because you slow down to like 67% while charging it.
You can Dead Hard against him. His shock doesn't stop that.

It doesn’t even matter, the prices are really cheap soo
Cheap? You've got to be kidding me.
One new character is 500 cells (or $5). A typical new cosmetic (not a recolor) is 1080 cells ($10). Yes, I know that some of them are only 700-ish cells but we can't buy that many cells, forcing us to spend $10 for them. They are also only released with new characters. New cosmetics for past characters have always been 1080 cells (except for a couple back in 2018 when the shop was still new). You can buy TWO new characters for 1080 cells instead of an outfit. Let that sink in. An outfit costs more than one new character and the same as two characters in a $30 game. The current asking price for the non-recolor cosmetics is pretty expensive. It's the same thing with shards (21.9k for a cosmetic, 9k for a character, 18k for two characters), only you can't buy them.

OP: *makes this thread*
Wraith:
He’s supposed to be a stealth Killer. You’re not supposed to know he’s coming until it’s too late. The speed boost when coming out of cloak is to help him to regain the distance he loses while uncloaking.

And despite being knowledgeable about the bugs, every Tome has included grab challenges.
At this point, I think the Archive team either doesn’t play DBD or has access to a build where grabs actually work. Why else would they keep adding challenges that involve a broken mechanic?
-
They have recode the grabs for dedicated servers. I’d expect a fix around the end of 2020 or beginning of 2021.
-
The chibi Spirit, Sadistic Killer puppet, the Tier 70 charm for Rift 3 (can't remember its name), and the Adrenal Glands charm for Doctor (missed out on it because of bad matchmaking times and bad teammates, really pissed about that and hope it's not one of the Rift-exclusive items).

The Chaser, Evader, Lightbringer, and Benevolent emblems all got tweaked during the PTB, but are the changes actually doing something? Is Iridescent Chaser still extremely difficult to get or should I expect to get it more often?
Me wondering if Emblem changes from like 2.0.0 were working. For some reason it and a lot of other really old threads are in the 2.6.0 PTB feedback section when that wouldn't come out for another 10 months.
-
You have to pray that it'll connect, even when it looks like it should. Not even mobile is safe from the curse of the broken grab. Makes it even more surprising that we're still getting challenges that involve a broken mechanic (including one that requires you to get two in a single game, like #########).
-
I think that was only for the store at its launch.
The biggest problem with the store is the prices. I wouldn’t mind having more than 20% of the store be cell-only cosmetics if they weren’t ten dollars a piece! You can buy two new characters for that price. Even the shard cosmetics are too expensive. 13k shards can get you one new character and 21k can get you two. There’s no way a new character should be worth less than a damn skin. All cell prices should be restricted to 500 or under (there are exceptions like licensed character cosmetics, those should be 700 cells), shard prices should be 5,000 or under, and we should be able to choose how many cells we buy ($1 = 100 cells) so you aren’t left over with hundreds of pointless cells if you buy a cheaper cosmetic. Who wants to spend $5 on a default outfit recolor because there is no cheaper option?
-
Assuming you have all teachables now, I'd keep BBQ, Pop, and Whispers but replace Spies/Bamboozle with Infectious Fright. It's not that hard to snowball with Billy and Infectious.
-
How did you complete Darkly Obsessed (Hook the Obsession 15 times) in three games? Furtive Chase? Multiple DS or For The People users?
-
Play as: Nurse and Huntress because I don't know how to play them well.
Play against: Trapper and Hag because of bad teammates and the fact that I have no clue what areas are safe.
