  • I’m hoping this’ll be announced as part of the next update.

Also, this is quite a necro.

  • The Killer is the hunted? The low number of pallets and small size makes it easier on Killers. You should’ve been here before the size decrease.

  • If I don’t list a Killer, it’s because I have no idea what to do to them or I forgot.

Trapper: Stitched Bag is made baseline. He starts with the maximum numbers of traps.

Wraith: Bone Clapper is made baseline.

Nurse: Her basekit nerfs are reverted.

Doctor: All Snap Out of It changes are reverted (minus the one where you go back to tier 1).

Leatherface: Chainsaw tantrum doesn’t stop when hitting a pallet.

Freddy: He has the smoke effect on his hand when teleporting again.

Clown: He has the super belly jiggle from one of the older patches (I think 2.3.0?) again. There’s more but I’m not sure what else I’d change.

Legion: Fatigue effect is removed. Stun after Feral Frenzy runs out is three seconds.

Plague: Survivors now have a very slight debuff to something (not sure what yet). The Corrupt Purge audio cue is removed.

Demogorgon: All map-wide audio cues are removed minus the teleport one. Its footstep volume is now the same as the rest of the Killer cast. The Undetectable effect now lasts five seconds.

  • Use lockers to avoid his Static Blast, drop pallets early to avoid his stun, and you can run Calm Spirit to avoid screaming.

  • Killer: Hawkins, Pale Rose, and Grim Pantry are my favorites. I love how unsafe a good portion of the loops are on Hawkins, especially with Doctor. I also like the small size of all three maps. My least favorites are Mother’s Dwelling, Haddonfield, Azarov’s Resting Place, Disturbed Ward, Ormond, and Suffocation Pit (still don’t see what they changed, it feels like nothing happened to it).

Survivor: My favorite here might just be The Game because I love not knowing if the Killer is right beside me or above me. It’s so tense! I don’t think I have a least favorite Survivor map.

  • None of them.

    1. Trapper is OP because I don’t know where his traps are at and they’re a free hook for him.
    2. Plague is OP because she can turn into a 115% Huntress and make everyone broken in a few seconds.
    3. Demogorgon is OP because of its teleportation, Undetectable, and Shred range.
    4. Oni is OP because Blood Fury.
    5. Pig is OP because I can’t see her coming and her traps are too hard to get off. Also, they can kill you!
    6. Doctor is OP because he can always find me and stop vaults and pallet drops.

Every Killer should be nerfed into the ground.

Being serious, it’s good that you play whoever you want and ignore the whining.

  • I’d buff three Killer perks to make them more appealing at higher ranks or fix something about the perk that nobody likes (my changes are in bold):

    UNNERVING PRESENCE:

Your presence alone instils great fear.

Survivors within your Terror Radius have a 10% greater chance of triggering Skill Checks when repairing, healing or sabotaging.

Triggered Skill Checks' success zones are reduced by 40/50/60 %.

Survivors have a 70/60/50% chance to trigger a counterclockwise skill check.

The great skill check zone is removed.

    "Its presence befalls us."

Note: When it comes to Doctor, I am not sure if his counterclockwise skill checks would be overridden or if they would override the skill checks from Unnerving Presence.

    OVERCHARGE:

You are fuelled by your hate for progress.

Overcharge a Generator by performing the Damage Generator action.

The next Survivor interacting with that Generator is faced with a tremendously difficult Skill Check.

Failing the skill check results in an additional 3/4/5% Regression penalty and overloads the Generator, causing it to spark wildly for 5 seconds and will regress by an additional 15% throughout this period. It will also lock Survivors who attempt to repair it out of all interactions for 2.5 seconds. Succeeding the Skill Check grants no progress, but prevents the Generator Explosion and overload.

"It is a trap. But a trap one must step in..."

Note: the additional regression is not 15% per second. That would make it impossible to complete a generator as it’d regress by 75%. It’s 15% over the 5 seconds. Meaning that if a gen at 85% is overloaded, it will regress to 65% by the time Overcharge’s effect wears off.

Also, you will not be able to hit the skill check while running anymore. It’ll be an automatic fail.

THRILLING TREMORS (I have three ideas for this):

Disclaimers: I just threw out some big numbers. They aren’t final. Also, the regression would not stack. You can’t bring Ruin and Thrilling for some 700% regression speed.

    Idea 1:

Your dark designs and shrewd composure rouse The Entity.

After picking up a Survivor, all  not being repaired by Survivors are blocked by The Entity and cannot be repaired for the next 16 seconds. They will regress at 300/400/500% of the normal regression speed.

Affected Generators are highlighted by a white Auras.

Thrilling Tremors can only be triggered once every 100/80/60 seconds.

"The night assists me and it's endless here." — The Ghost Face

    Idea 2:

Note: For this idea, regression will not be stopped by blocked gens.

Your dark designs and shrewd composure rouse The Entity.

After picking up a Survivor, all Generators not being repaired by Survivors are blocked by The Entity and cannot be repaired for the next 16 seconds.

Affected Generators are highlighted by a white Aura.

Thrilling Tremors can only be triggered once every 60/40/20 seconds

"The night assists me and it's endless here." — The Ghost Face

Idea 3 would be the same as Idea 2 except the cooldown is removed.

  • Killers: Unnerving Presence (Doctor), Overcharge (Doctor), Dying Light (Plague), Thrilling Tremors (Freddy), and Surveillance (Freddy).

Survivor: Botany Knowledge (Claudette and David)

  • I already use it on Doctor, but while this would be a great change, it would take more than this to get me to use it on other Killers.

  • Deathslinger because it all comes down to the player knowing how to aim. The Survivor is basically screwed even if they can dodge well.

Hag because of idiot teammates who don’t know how or when to crouch.

Trapper because I have no clue where his traps are and I’m terrified of stepping in one.

    Use your aggressive feelings.

  • I think it feels slower because there’s more challenges that have you playing multiple games and doing really simple tasks like start a chase with different Survivors.

I’m about to reach tier 16. I’ve been switching between DBD and Predator: Hunting Grounds, so I haven’t had as much time to complete the Rift.

  • No. Simply playing a character is not toxic. They just need to make sure they don’t 3 gen themselves.

  • I haven’t really noticed a change.

  • If you see someone slugged with BBQ, they can easily crawl away before you can get to them.

Also, why not buff Deerstalker? The reason it’s not used that much is because players can hear the slugged Survivors with a decent headset (when sound works properly of course).

  • Only one perk? That's tough. I'm not sure whether I'd make Unnerving or Overcharge useful in high ranks by themselves, stop DS from being an anti-momentum perk, make DCs give tokens for perks like BBQ, or remove the cooldown from Thrilling Tremors.

  • Anything that you do with at least one other person counts toward it. You can repair a gen with someone else and heal a couple other Survivors and you'll complete the challenge. I got mine by repairing multiple gens with other Survivors. You just have to do 60 seconds worth of cooperative actions, not one 60 second action.

Oh no, not my 4k! 😱

You and five other people are seriously defending DCs?

  • Bugs and probably a lower amount of high rank Killers.

  • I think I'm at 15. I thought I'd have more time for this Rift, but then Predator: Hunting Grounds came out, so I've been playing it in addition to DbD.

  • "Tactical disconnects" should never be a thing. The bleed out timer is only four minutes long.

  • I think we should remove perk tiers and have the tier 3 version be the default. That would significantly cut down on the grind. You'd have all perks in the game for a character shortly after reaching level 50.

  • It's because AMN isn't worth the Exhaustion effect. I like to think the Entity helps the Survivor reset the pallet.

  • I only have a problem with them when I'm trying to do a chest challenge or if I had a trophy that required me to open that chest. Otherwise I'm fine with them.

  • Slugging, while it can be boring at times (especially if the Killer’s slugging everyone before hooking them), is part of the game. There’s multiple perks and even a power that incentivize slugging. Bring perks like Unbreakable, Tenacity, and Flip-Flop (maybe even No Mither if you have enough confidence in yourself) to counter it.

  • Aside from the Killer just having a bad day or doing a challenge, then yeah this is pretty much it. I hate running a Killer for multiple gens only to get hit with a NOED. Too many teammates just want to rush the gens or troll the Killer and ignore the dull totems.

  • It was for variety. It’s really annoying that some maps have like two crows on them though.

  • It’s scummy, but not toxic. The Survivor isn’t going out of their way to make the other one feel bad. They’re just trying to survive.

  • More: IDK. Maybe Nurse or Billy.

Less: Hag. Teammates can’t crouch in obvious trap areas.

  • I love seeing four flashlights as Doctor. It means they’re basically itemless because tier 3 locks you out of item usage.

  • 1D1CDE30-85D4-4004-BF9A-482E4B26ED9C.jpeg D01937DB-94B7-45D0-8C08-8D3DA8109476.jpeg 3809F22B-4432-43C4-B525-872B06DB2A00.jpeg 26BBF20D-3014-4ED7-999D-DB2C1473A40D.jpeg

I’m thinking of adding Wraith to the mix, but his build’s not completed. Right now, I’m aiming for BBQ, PGTW, Nurse’s, and either Sloppy or Thrilling with clapper and Windstorm add-ons (basically what Tru3 likes to use) but that could change. This is all I have on him right now:

    76F19826-D553-4AD0-9D39-9D690E0390CE.jpeg

    I keep flip-flopping between M&A and STBFL.

  • It would be a great idea. You could knock out some of the easier challenges while still keeping the harder ones active just in case you manage to complete them. I had Six Feet Under deactivated to do some other challenges back when Tome 2 released. I then get TWO basement 4ks in a row. TWO! That pissed me the hell off.

  • Same. I have all perks on Doctor and Freddy along with a good amount of add-ons and offerings on them (hell, I have over 190 Iridescent Queens on Doc). I would need a damn good incentive to prestige them. The only time I prestige if the character has no other cosmetics that I like or in the rare case that I like a bloody cosmetic.

It won't, your static blast won't do anything at all

    Damn, that would’ve been hilarious.

  • I think it might give the Obsession your Static Blast.

Yes we could have leveling rewards, but why replace the prestige system to do so?

Because prestige is stupid and a waste of time, especially in a game where it takes an extremely long time to unlock everything and has no perma unlock feature.

You play the doctor so you will obviously say this but play any other killer and I guarantee you will rethink it. You can get madness up a disgusting amount so easily and you can never ever get rid of it so it messes up healing, and fixing anything so even if you miss finding them, a messed up generator will let you locate them. I'm not saying get rid of the doctor or destroy him but let us get rid of madness after a while that's fair enough. Plus a minute for static blast isn't a lot ESPECIALLY if you get AT LEAST one during the entire game because they'll be messed up the whole time. You can create illusions of yourself with madness, screw up every skill check, make fake palettes, make it so if they hit 3 they think you're after them and they have to successfully hit every skill check to get rid of it before they can even touch anything.

Yes the doctor is unfair as someone who has played killers. The nurse is unbelievably hard and I give mad props to those who can play her really well. Her blink can get her stuck in really messed up situations, she's beyond slow as well

Also static shock can be spammed and it can make you miss vaults, make it so you can't throw pallets either.

There's no way you're past green ranks. You seem like a new player who wants to whine on the forums instead of getting good.

    1. Of course I'm going say that, I actually pay attention during my games.
    2. Madness can be overcome by being good at the game.
    3. A minute can be a LONG time in DbD. You would know this if you were somewhat decent at the game.
    4. Shock Therapy has a 1.5 second cooldown where he can't attack or shock. If he keeping shocking as much as he can and he's still getting you at loops, then that's because you were at an unsafe loop or you made a mistake. In both cases, he should get the stun and hit.
    5. I play Doctor, Freddy, Demogorgon, Plague, and I'm thinking about adding Wraith to the mix. ;)
  • For me it was the Ruin rework. In purple and green ranks, my Survivor queue times are 4-8 minutes. Killer queues at any rank at around 10-20 seconds.

  • @Pheonwings said:

I think he needs to be nerfed every other killer in the game if they mess up their move they suffer a slight annoyance such as leatherface once he moves he can only really move in one direction and cant stop his chainsaw, the hillbilly can only move REALLY fast with slight changes in his movement, the nurse bows her head down and shakes it if she misses hitting someone after blinking, michael has terrible vision as does scream it seems. The chain for the cowboy is ANNOYING because he has to reload if he misses.

I dont really see the doctor suffering from ANYTHING at all to be completely honest with you, hes easy to farm bloodpoints on too to unlock his stuff at higher levels and farm bloodpoints to get other killer perks like the hag has some great ones.

Doctor gets punished for missing both of his abilities. He has a 1.5 second cooldown after using Shock Therapy where the only thing he can do is move and if he misses his Static Blast, then he has wait an entire minute to get it back.

  • Sorry that you can't get your sick flashlight saves for those montages. Basically just get good.

  • Wouldn’t work. Killers would just quick switch, Survivors would just use it to hard counter every Killer, and you’re supposed to have the upper hand on Survivors.

If prestiging had no risk, there would be no need for a reward.

You could get rewards for reaching certain milestones on characters. There are games that reward you for doing that.

  • They better be some DAMN good rewards then. I have all perks on Doctor and Freddy. Unless the incentive for prestiging is really worth it, then I’m leaving those two the way they are. I still think they should just do away with prestige and have your level go up to 200. That way you get to keep your inventory and get the rewards.

  • I love using it on Freddy. You'll know exactly which gen to teleport to.

  • Yes, let's a nerf a Killer because he requires you to think more than you normally would.

  • Yeah, I think the dedicated servers made it worse. The fake grabs weren’t as prominent back during 2.2.0’s release.

  • Plague all the way. All three perks are good and she's fun to play as.

  • Doctor making Survivors Exhausted in Madness tier 3. I loved it when Survivors made a bad play against me and their Exhaustion perk couldn't activate.

  • He has the same lunge as everyone else (minus EW1 and EW3 Myers). It just looks longer because of his smaller size.
