Just change them to a 4k so you can't get screwed out of one because of the Emblem system working against Killers.
-
Holding the game hostage is when someone is preventing the game from ending. Slugging for a 4k isn't super fun, but it doesn't qualify because the slugged Survivor will die in four minutes. The game will eventually end. A couple of examples of holding the game hostage are if at least two Survivors get to an area that is unreachable for the Killer or the Killer blocks in multiple Survivors and doesn't let them leave.
-
Force the Survivors to crouch in order to have a chance at hiding in it.

this seems like a git gud case
Yes, because running in circles requires so much skill and is super fun.
-
It depends on who's being added.
-
Not good. I've been held back by the release of Maneater and struggling with the EGC hook challenge. I'm only at tier 27 and will probably to have to really grind in order to get close to finishing the Rift.
-
Yeah, that map is hell to play on. There's like maybe one mindgameable loop there. The rest are unmindgameable and force you to do nothing but run in a circle.
-
Perk tiers 1 and 2 should be removed. Tier 3 becomes the default. This would cut down on the grind so much.
-
He’s fine.
-
Haddonfield, Crotus Prenn, Autohaven, and MacMillian. Most or all of the loops are unmindgameable and have you just running in a circle because it’s braindead easy for the Survivor to always know where you are. How fun is that?
-
Sanctum is basically a smaller, less oppressive Azarov’s.

Doesn't sound that hard but I could be wrong, do you have to escape as well?
Not for the one in this level. The negative reactions toward it are mainly because it encourages terrible play.

@OldHunterLight said:
Can someone fill me up with that challenge? Been seeing people complaining about that challenge, I haven't done it, I'm just playing killer atm
Hide within 10 meters of the Killer for 60 seconds as Dwight in a single game.
-
This isn't even Lord Herman's full power. The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.
If the player is using an optimal build on a Killer (not just Doctor, ANY Killer) they are good at in a 4v1 game, then they deserve to get the down. Also, using add-ons is toxic now? Ok...
-
I hope it never returns after this Tome. It encourages terrible play. The only way to get this without really hurting your teammates is to burn a Game offering.
@MojoTheFabulous said:
I doubt it'll be reworked but I imagine they will learn from it and not make it a returning challenge. At least in the same way it currently is.
@StardustSpeedway said:
I hated this challenge. It encourages terrible play. Hopefully they minimize the amount of time you have to be unnoticed. Having it be a complete minute is awful if they want to continue with it.
This site has been accurate about the Archives except for one challenge back in Tome 2 Level 4. Look at the Dwight head in bottom left corner of Archives level 4. This challenge gets worse.

That's why you have 4 ways to go! (2 survs sides and 2 killers)
I always try to leave the more annoying challenges last :3
For this level, the other starting challenges are annoying. Freedom Fighter (unhook 12 different Survivors, likely to take hours due to Survivor queue times and the likelihood of unhooking all of your teammates each game), Bullseye (Basically relies on you having played Huntress enough to be somewhat decent at hitting hatchets from 15 meters away), or Dwight the Brave (hide within 10 meters of the Killer for 60 seconds without getting caught, extremely difficult unless you're on The Game or with a really bad/AFK Killer). I managed to complete Destroyer of Hope today though. I'm dreading the Darkly Obsessed challenge because of how tedious it's going to be (hook the Obsession 15 times, not everybody has DS and I don't have Furtive on a lot of my Killers). Same with the gen grab one because grabs suck.
@LastShoe said:
2 Grabs off the generators is still worse.
Grabs from gens are rare... and they don't work most of the time.
I'm pretty scared of that challenge. I'm probably just going to use Wraith with a Clapper and the All-Seeing add-on and go for a map with cover.

That challenge really isn’t too difficult, I got it in two games rather easy just by using bloodwarden, I got almost everyone to death hook during the game, then come endgame collapse I apply alot of pressure and slug, until one survivor gets chased to a gate and opens it. Then i simply hook one of the slug survivors and as long as they don’t insta leave (which believe me they pretty often don’t) I get 60 secs to get my 4 hooks in one game, I almost did it in one game as well except one survivor had a key.
I tried NOED and Blood Warden today and it actually didn't work that well. First game, I got to the gate a little too late. Second game, I got one EGC hook after getting lucky with the Hatch. Third game, I actually have Survivors that can get all five gens but I down someone too far from the doors and they immediately rush out once they knew about NOED (I've seen Survivors stay in the game and go for saves even if NOED is active). Fourth game, I got the last hook needed. All but one game had Survivors that needed a lot of help to even reach two gens and my hooks didn't come from NOED and BW.
-
It's Mature because you're hanging living people on hooks, some of the Moris are pretty violent, the characters' backstories contain some messed up things, and you have characters from Halloween, NOES, Saw, Scream, TCM, and Silent Hill, all of which are M-rated games or R-rated movies.
That doesn't mean you have to listen to them though. If you think your child is mature enough to play a game like DbD, then go ahead and let them play it.
-
Plague is must have. Fun, strong, and has three good to great perks. You made a good choice buying her.
I'd look at Pig and Legion's perks and see if you want Surveillance and/or Make Your Choice from Pig or Discordance from Legion. If you do get Legion, then do not get Discordance past tier 1. It gives you more frequent updates on the gen at that tier.
-
@Milo said:
especially in the position where it’s atWhy is that position stupid...?
As for the challenge (i didnt get to it yet just throwing ideas) did you try using Noed and Bloodwarden with some tracking perks?
Because it's blocking off access to a good portion of the other challenges. The other starting challenges also look like they'll be a pain in the ass. This level looks like it's out to get me lol.
I haven't tried NOED + Blood Warden yet. I just got to the challenge myself but I could tell it was going to annoy the hell out of me. I managed to get another EGC hook today by stumbling upon the Hatch.
-
Self Care + Botany + any Medkit = super heal
-
The reason I haven't prestiged most of my characters is because I don't want to lose my inventory. I have all perks on Doc and Freddy along with a nice collection of add-ons and offerings (including over 190 Iridescent Queens). You'd have to be insane to think I'd trade that in for a bloody outfit. I'm only getting Myers and Pyramid Head to P3 50 because they have no other cosmetics and I like Myers's bloody overalls and head. Leatherface is going to P2 unless I decide that none of the unlockable faces look good with the bloody cosmetics. Currently, I only have Demogorgon to P1 because I liked the bloody claws.
My idea was to just remove prestiging, raise the level cap to 200 and have bloody cosmetics unlock at levels 51, 101, and 151 as a reward for putting a lot of BP into that character, however I wouldn't mind having to play a certain amount of games or get some kills with that character (although getting a certain number of kills would suck for Killers that are hard to play).
-
These are some great changes. I didn't think I'd like them as much as I do. The only thing I don't completely agree with is the Cypress Mori. It should be part of the Killer's base kit because at that point you're pretty much screwed, so why not go out with a badass animation? It would also help out a ton with the Mori rituals.
-
Instaheals being nerfed ruined the game? What?
Moris will likely be changed when keys are changed. The instaheal nerf was deserved.
-
Nice to see this thread again. It's a very, very good idea for Demo.
Could you guys please pass this on to the balancing team?
-
If you don't like to farm, pray. Wraith with a clapper, All-Seeing add-on, and a gen that obstructs the Survivors view could work well (barring any server issues).
-
Pyramid Head is going to be one of my favorite Killers in the game. Maybe I’ll get him to P3 50.

Everything you mentioned has already been nerfed and will very likely not be nerfed further, because they're not a problem anymore and they're not even remotely in the same league as keys.
Yeah, that’s why I mentioned them. All three of those items or their add-ons were problematic and got nerfed, so it’s likely that keys (an item that a lot of Killers hate) will get nerfed in the future. Did you think I was trying to say that those three items are still problematic?
-
Yes! It would make the Moris look better actually seeing the damage you inflict on the Survivor. We could also get "battle-damaged" Survivors where they're walking around with open wounds. There should be a filter to disable it for those who don't want it and the game should stay the same in countries that would ban it.
-
@perezkarlo37 said:
I just no u them until they get bored.
What if someone created a bot to just say "no u" all of the time or actually sat there for hours typing it or kept trying to message you?
-
They're not. Just like with toolboxes, flashlights, and medkits, it's very likely that changes (probably nerfs) will be coming to them.
-
Laugh, ask why, and thank them for giving me another fine addition to my collection.
Also pretty much everything he said is ban-worthy to PS. It might take them a long time to update you on the situation though.
-
On console their only counter is praying because of performance issues. Also auto-aim can screw you over.
@LetsPlayTogether said:
Why do you even use a m2 if theyre 1mm away? Also talking about Oni and Huntress they have the most ridiculous hitboxes in game. 360s arent any issue.
To save STBFL stacks, mainly as Demogorgon.
-
The devs don't seem to like loud noise notifications. You get more of those with tier 1, so I think a change is unlikely. I think that might have actually been the reason they added the cooldown to Spies from the Shadows.
-
He actually seems pretty cool. I wouldn't mind seeing Sirenhead in DbD.
-
Pray. I’m on console and play graphic heavy Killers.

Sing Another Day - Survivor Master Challenge
Escape 1 trial(s) when your next time on the hook would immediately sacrifice you as Kate Denson.
-Complete this challenge in a single trial.
Unlocks the next entry for 'A Story By Any Other Name'
It really pisses me off since I main Dwight.
WHAT?! That makes no sense whatsoever! Why does one character have lore for another one? I'd think Dwight's challenge would have his lore and Kate's would have either Observations or Revelations. That's weird as hell.
-
Looking at this website (https://dbd.onteh.net.au/#archives), Kate's death hook escape challenge is the one's that locked behind Dwight's hiding challenge. Tiers 3 and 4 have three and four starting points respectively.
Also, is Dwight's last memory seriously locked behind this stupid as hell challenge? His story is getting really interesting.
-
Just look behind you and dodge, like many other Survivors seem to be doing.
-
Robert Englund Freddy. I’d like 2018 Michael and Laurie but they could probably work as normal skins.
-
This perk's stupid as hell. It rewards stupid plays and destroys most Hexes. Looks like it's going to need some nerfs.
-

Thats great! :D But i am more interested in cross progression, i just bought dbd on PC and I really dont want to start over again
Yeah I’m in the same boat. About to finally get a PC and I really don’t want to start over.
-
They should just bring back the 4k requirement. Nobody had a problem with it. If it isn’t broken, then don’t fix it.

It is different.
You’re definitely correct about that. Not being able to unhook while in tier 3 would lead to Doctor getting much easier kills and he’d have an easier time hard camping the hooked Survivor. You still have to down the other Survivors while slugging. With Snap Out of It progress saving, the Survivor can just keep doing the action, go back to tier 1, and then go for the heal. If you get downed on your way there, then too bad.
-
@MrCookie said:
Why? Just why? Just because it's hard to play around? There is no reason for that. Doctor is not OP or anything he is in a good spot. If all your team is slugged then that's on your team.
Yes. It takes too much work to play around this. All of these “nerf Doctor” threads are coming because he’s now a strong Killer and some Survivors just don’t seem to like any kind of challenge.
-
It looks cool but it’s fake.
-
Tunnel a Survivor off the hook and hope they want to locker-DS you.
-
@DraconDirnc said:
Yeah I had a double pallet spawn on coal tower today. Was a strange sight after hook and pallet placement rework.
I think double pallets only happen when the game runs out of spots to place them.

Doing well and abusing an extreme unbalance are not the same. if I'm playing survivor and my team does all the gens too fast I'll run the killer around the map during EGC, and if the survivors I'm facing are doing poorly I make sure they're all equally hooked and then slug down people on death hook to be saved later
So you basically give them another chance to get a kill/escape? You shouldn’t have to do that (or at least it shouldn’t be recommended) in order to rank up. It’ll just extend matches for no reason and piss off a good portion of players because they’re now forced to give their opponents second chances. You’ll more undeserved victories because of the second chance, which would piss everybody off. If I kill all four Survivors without a Mori within like five minutes, then I shouldn’t safety pip. That should tell you that you belong at a much higher rank. Moris shouldn’t have you run the risk of depipping just for using it. You’re using something the game gives you to your advantage but you get punished for using it? Hell no.
-
Punishing the player for doing well is a terrible idea. It’s one of the reasons why the Emblem system is hot garbage.
-
Wait Myers was gone?
I’d rank him at mid tier.
Positives: His stealth can be a gamechanger. He can take the Survivor by surprise and either stalk them, grab them, or swing at them. Tier 3 can turn the game around in a matter of seconds.
Negatives: He has no anti-loop aside from his tier 3. His stealth can be negated at areas with little to no cover. If you can see him coming and you can get to a decent loop, he’s going to have a harder time unless he can reach tier 3.
