.. played all 3 of them.

But when i think about it i don´t remember very much anymore…

The start to 2 on PS1 was amazing. They used pre rendered backgrounds but with a video playing while you moved to the hotel.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/3S9CBJOXUSF2/grafik.png

I just started playing through them again, just finnished 1 and started on 2. First one also had an interesting way of choosing which location you wanted to go with a fully revolving 3d city zooming in on each building lol some cutscenes showing you driving between places.

It was a real suprise seeing it on the survey Alongside Dino Crisis

  • Id say not many ever enjoyed playing against scratched mirror myers. Besides the streamers that enjoy it for jump scares, to the average player its one of the most tedious and annoying playstyles especially on an indoor map. Like playing against a legion with permanent frenzy mode. Ive even seen some rounds take almost an hour to finnish if its a small enough map.

Its simpler to loop but it forces chase onto everyone at all times of the match or feeling like you cant sit on a gen while injured as they just hit and hide and come back when you arent able to make it to something fast enough.

  • Currently i just do the dailies and whatever quests come out. That seems to be enough to finnish the rift about a month in advance.

  • On one point of view, not having offerings = a more casual experience where you can play any character you want. Even if they have no offerings left, or you dont want to use up offerings on certain characters etc. Its a chance to play any character without feeling like you are wasting something.

The other thing might be scaling the bp multiplyer if 10 people brought 110% cakes all stacking together + 3x bp bonus for survivors.

Nice. I just got my 4th p100 yesterday with a lot of progress on several others. Committing is hard.

I saw a lot of Shanes in my 2v8 matches yesterday, including a matching duo.

Interesting, its kinda like how some keep saying they havent seen the judgement yet for the quests, and yet ive seen them about 25 times lol. Which one was your 4th?

I'm the same. Ill spend bp if I'm after a specific add-on or something, otherwise I just save my bp for new chapters to unlock perks

Congrats though OP, that's impressive for such a recent release

Thank you! I think the anniverary event alone cut through the first 50 prestiges lol

Nice work. I haven't even got 2 p100s yet. Cannot say I've really strived for it mind

At this point i don't have another one to strive for either lol. Its always a bit awkward afterwords not knowing what to do with the bloodpoints. I might try for Ellen simply because of the Hudson legendary, it seems the closest to feeling like a character from the movies.

  • Im starting to think the only way we would get a spider killer is through another round of grimoire votes. But how the last one turned out we will likely be getting chased by an octopus dog that breathes fire.

  • I'm hoping the graphics overhaul adds jiggle physics for more charactets like Lara Croft and Thalita

  • Blood Pact, and Road Life. They are both so situationally worthless and i hope they are part of the big perk overhaul coming up.

  • So.. i wasnt having this issue since the update. But playing as Hinako and seeing that her hair was practically invisible made me start messing with the graphics. At one point i set the fps limmit to a smaller amount and when i started playing with that, there was huge input lag. Like my skill checks nearly missed every time as the button would be pressed around the great, then it would activate almost at the end. So i put the fps back to 120 and the lag went away.

I dunno if that effects your issue, perhaps your fps got lowered?

  • I've played enough of the game to realise the game is just going to go however it wants. Its all a big dice roll. And if I had a bad time in the round getting tunneled or the whole team gets slugged or they camped each person to death somehow, and they say gg, I just go to the next round without saying a thing.

  • Xeno is my primary killer main (mostly because its my all time favorite franchise).

Its very aggressive in chase and capable of getting an angle to hit with the tail constantly, but requires precision to aim it right. Hit anything but the survivor and itl bounce off something harmlessly, including the turret in the survivors hands. Its harder to avoid then nemisis whip as its like dodging an angled spear thrust rather than a straight line that cant hit over windows when crouched. (Its also slightly harder to hit with as the hitbox is a small point rather than a full vertical line)

For a newer player or those that arent the greatest at looping, the xeno can take them down faster than nemisis. Which makes him rather fun to use, until you run into double placed turrets, and looping gods.

Most games people place turrets in an easy to hit spot so they barely inconvenience you and you maintain your power almost the entire round. But when they double up turrets the best you can do is break them and either keep chasing in m1 or go straight back to the tunnels to chase someone else off a generator. Bully squads loooove to make turret (safe zones) they all run to at the first sign of the killer. But generally i think the main reason xeno is barely played is the turrets ability to remove your power and sometimes theres nothing you can do about it - its tedious.

The tunnels themselves i end up using more to find people with their footsteps rather than as a mobility tool, though it is good for multifloor maps too. I've also paired it with springtraps scream perk as people will always look at you as you come out of the tunnel and you get a better idea of where they are and where they're going as soon as you come out as the killer instinct doesnt always kick in or doesnt last long.

Overall xeno is fun to play as yet annoying to play as, its like rolling a dice as to weather or not you are going to have fun as its all rng on how good people are with the turrets or just looping your tail to a point where you can barely hit them (which is very rare but it happens)

One other thing some don't seem to like, iis the crawler mode's pov. You are in first person and lower to the ground than every other killer's pov which can get on some people's nerves but you eventually get used to it. Its not low enough that you can't see over things, but it is noticeably in a lower position.

  • How bout the bugs from starship troopers? Lol, or even the Beholder from DnD

  • Can't say SB has ever been a reason for me to stop playing m1 killers. My 3 mains were alredy m2s with the exception of skull merchant. Which i occasionally still play her, would play her more if it weren't for the stealth activation change, it just feels more tedious for me as thats what i primarily played her for.

I honestly forgot sprint burst was nerfed lol

  • Still waiting for Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper. But as far as patterns go, stranger things is a license thats only released 1 load of content per chapter, and then never anything new in between. They seem like they might be on a long standby like Resident Evil. Especially since the show is over, hype for the characters is dieing down. Not saying they aren't wanted though.

how would they add, much less balance a literal godzilla 😥

My little oni game mode turns into godzilla game mode. Or just cosmetics lol itd be funny seeing megalon as a doctor skin

  • Xeno having a bug where his tail can hit a turret in the survivors hands and it bounces off with no damage to the survivor or turret.

Yesterday I noticed that the Vecna Figurine charm's VFX is mostly missing since the latest update. No worries, a bug report has been filed.

But that made check every other Ascended charm to see if those might have missing or bugged VFX too. And that's when I discovered that previously un-animated charms have actually received VFX!

    https://youtu.be/T2VytojvPYU

    https://youtu.be/q5RMBWppLGo

    https://youtu.be/GekqPb4AIjs

This gives me hope. Hope that the other Ascended-rarity charms that currently do not have any animation will receive some in the future.

    Charms that are still static:
    - Emerging Castle
    - Stairway to Success
    - The Custodian figurine

I'll leave it in the middle as to whether these were bug fixes or that they were indeed released as static intentionally and were given animation later. Either way, this is a great step forward!

I was like "Current rift!?" Lol

  • Not saying its the worst thing to be added to the game or anything, but i managed to loop a judgement for 4 whole generators before going down. And as soon as they got a bit of momentum, we could not do anything with all the constant aura reading. So sure she can be looped well, but like kaneki they can streamroll the whole team quite aggressively. I'll even say that most of the time the sound effects gave away that they were about to snipe and i was able to move. But sometimes there was nothing, just BEAM and ur down before you can take 1 step from the generator. Almost as if firing from maximum distance makes less sound.

    • On survivors only being able to bring 1 of each perk ,there would be a lot of frustration on who gets to bring what perk, and you make an entire build for soloque and suddenly half your perks are shut off because someone else alredy loaded in with them. I get some of the strongest perks are annoying to deal with, but knowing the enemy's perks is part of adapting strategy, for example you know someone has ds and they actively get in your face to protect the unhooker, you can now slug them and then chase the unhooker with 3/4 of the team busy off generators rather than just chasing 1 with 3 on generators.
    • As for weaker killers we all that "power creep" as the game is evolving over time leaving the older basic killers in the dust. All we can do about that is hope for eventual reworks and buffs. As trapper and skull merchant alredy have reworks being worked on currently. (Ghost face can also still 1 shot people while out of stealth - if he manages to mark them, which some find quite easy to do mid chase, or mark them to 99% before closing in or chasing them later)
    • As for bloodpoints i agree it takes too long and doesn't feel rewarding. As an owner of 9.9 prestige 100s (im working on one thats 95 right now) it barely feels like you earn anything on a basic eventless day of playing. They seem to have trouble balancing it as a survive with friends team of 4 ensuring they bring stacked anniversary cakes every round seem to be the fastest road to prestiging, but as a solo player its quite slow. But they also don't want you to prestige everyone on the roster to 3 in a week and have nothing else to prestige for. Events also make you skyrocket through prestiges, especially bloodmoon and anniversary. Like Shane Wiigwass is the one i have at 95 and he came out around when u started, all because of the cakes and event bonus points.

I never agreed with one scan line, I just think stealth on recall was an amazing buff. (Despite the fact she's still terrible.)

I'm still decent with her these days but it felt like a nerf to me as it went from a simple 1 click while focused on chase or the area you are going - to having to hold a button, break your neck, look away from your target or area you are going, and delete one of your manually placed obstacles just to get the same effect. Its much more tedious.

  • 3rd person The Blob

You start as this little ball of blob with no terror radius, about the size of chucky, and get a tentacle swipe that if it hits a survivor it reals them into your blob. When the blob touches a survivor it absorbs a health state and starts to grow. The more it grows, the bigger and faster it gets, height and lengthwise, to a point where you can cut survivors off with the tail end of your blob at loops. Once it reachest a certain size/speed, doorways will start to slow the front end of the blob down when going through them.

At about mid size it gets a terror radius, at large size it has a large terror radius.

For flashlight /stun purposes they could add a little round "Core" with an obvious front that you can aim at to blind, and hitting the core with a pallet will stun.

Yes! Someone else watched the gate! That was the first horror movie I've ever watched, and it terrified me when I was young. Just don't rewatch it. It DOES NOT hold up.

I had no idea there was a sequel for many years lol

  • I noticed a huge increase in skillchecks since the chapter release. Like getting 6 skill checks in 10 seconds sometimes.

There was also a bug that carried over from ptb where adding a brand new part to a gen against judgement makes skillchecks impossibly small.

Ever since their introduction, I have always viewed the Void Collection skins as being very suitable P100 rewards. And it's a shame that the entire collection has been discontinued, and made available year-round (when initially it was tied to the Halloween event). I know, that would leave out the entire licensed side of DBD, but think about it … all characters, licensed or not, are allowed a bloody prestige fit. One can hope that maybe one day everyone is allowed a P100 cosmetic too. If not from the Void Collection, then perhaps something else.

I personally don't have a problem with running out of things on my 3 P100s. Because I regularly drop BP into them, notably during events that come with special items and offerings. Such as Anniversary, Haunted by Daylight and Bone Chill. And that's primarily because I don't really care about getting a 4th P100 right now (unless a miracle happens and they get Norman Reedus to fully voice Daryl Dixon). Lately I have been leveling up my lowest prestige characters and am now going to P9 a bunch. Then I still have my P50s. So there's always something to pour BP into.

I wasn't aware the void collection was discontinued, maybe they are saving it for something? Maybe they can even recolour it like the recent trapper/dwight skins. Most licenses do seem open to original outfits with atleast blighted outfits when a killer is involved, only blighted survivors that come to mind are Yoichi and Nick Cage, But then theres also the christmas sweaters.

But i don't see them doing a cosmetic unless every last license agrees in a contract, which the bloody outfits are part of the contract for bringing stuff in the game as we haven't seen a license flatout refuse to have one. Even the badges seemed like quite the struggle as we could see which licenses refused the artsyle.

I'd be happy if it didn't at least feel like punishment to get p100s. The only way I can play my main survivor comfortably is to have teammates bring things I want and don't have.

I've gone through phases with commodious toolboxes with preferred add-ons and ran out of those. Then I switched to the better medkits with good add-ons and ran out of those. Then it was the keys and ran out of those. It's so bad I try to find the items I like in 2v8 and escape with them so I can have them for 1v4. I also ran out of Vigo's blueprints, BPS, escape cakes, and bound envelopes. Obviously you can just switch to another survivor (which I have) but I like my main and that's who I want to play, and I've probably dumped a whole second p100 worth of BP into him.

My main killer is out of what we're my two preferred add-ons. Eventually I'll run out of the two I'm running now. The only way to combat this is dumping more BP into the pit while feeling like you gained nothing, especially since the web seems to go out of it's way to give you what you don't want.

It really does feel like a punishment for p100. I'm currently working on my 10th, but my biggest favorites ran out of event cakes and are now heavily nerfed from aquiring more, so i feel obligated to stick to the 100s who were presitged during anniversaries. Like i have Shane Wiigwaas at 90 right now, and hes still got over 1300 event cakes, but Trevor/Rebecca/Xeno/Dracula are down to their last one that I just keep as souveniers, and i feel forced to play other characters during events with offerings.

I currently don't have a single reason to put any bloodpoints in my p100s, and if they do get to the same point that you are at with yours, it would certainly feel like climbing an uphill battle where you can't reach the top lol

Whole game's progression is centered on the journey of reaching the light at the end of the tunnel, but once u get there, theres nothing to do out there except go back in with another character lol.

SM is not as bad as everyone says. If somebody is very, very good at her, they can manage a 4K. Well, this was back when I first started, and my team was like all bots, so maybe it doesn't count

I was only kidding lol i actualy get 4ks pretty often as im good with the on off stealth ambushing. And the drones are much easier to manage than trappers traps, if you can't catch someone with basic mindgames then the drones will injure and slow them down for you. I do miss the undetectable when deploying a drone rather than recalling. And its hard to believe how many times drones have told me which door people are trying to open after the hatch is closed lol

Yeah, I'm a huge Lovecraft fan. What's your favorite story? What "god" do you think is the most terrifying?

I think Azathoth is probably the most terrifying lol, as for the favorite story : The Temple. Which had the German submarine crew.

  • I recall enjoying the Witch Doctor in diablo 3 as my main class, that probably had the same kind of mask and poison darts.

The nightshade dart seems like it would fit more as an iri addon like huntress carrying 1 instadown hatchet, as sounds pretty strong to be paired with the other 2 darts.

And as for the other 2 darts the hemlock dart would make the curare dart kinda useless as one makes them stop completely while the other just slows them down. Unless you get much fewer hemlock darts per reload and the curare is like your basic ammo while the hemlock is your 1 or 2 heavy shots per reload.

  • I would certainly love to see Call and Bishop for legendaries. Infact i just started getting into a novel that brings Bishop back to life lol

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna miss randomly finding bugs that causes Houndmaster to somehow start T-posing and ascending to the heavens, this would obviously trigger from something stupid such as a survivor crouching up and down twice then completing a generator with no interruption.

I'm gonna miss invisible skirt glitches lol

  • I think the graphics overhaul will come with a big code remake, which currently the jokes about when one thing gets fixed 2 more things break - is due to the nicknamed "spaghetti code". If that code is being replaced by a modern more solid code, then the game should in theory, be much easier to update and add things without stuff breaking.

  • Not saying this will make the experience much better or anything, but Eleven also came in with the perk We See You. Which if the killer is spamming aura reading itl tell you when your aura is being seen and even show the killer to you occasionally so you know when they are targetting you.

Another thing is the judgement stands out like a disco ball in the desert, where you can see their wings glowing from one end of the map to the other so its often easy to have an idea of where the killer is in the map (if outdoors).

Although it is a pain to deal with at range, its still much easier to dodge beams than it is to loop a nurse that just uses short range blinks you can't avoid. I've alredy gotten a feel for when a beam is about to come at me and have dodged many even in a split second, its easier to avoid than a fully charged hatchet at long range. And unlike The First, staying in close range chase makes it easier to avoid shots as they will then have to try trick shots just to hit you.

  • I've played against quite a few judgements myself, atleast 10 or more. And out of those 10 I died 2 or 3 times.

  • I have a several reasons against it.

    • There are a lot of players that don't want to talk while playing games online.
    • And some don't like having to wear a headset the entire time or buy a standing mic just because of a new voice feature in the game that other players will expect you to use.
    • Though it would be optional^ they also don't want to hear other players in the game. And the fact that it would be optional would also render the mechanic half useless as some will use it, some wont, some would want to toggle off other players voices too, thus you wouldnt even know if the player on the other end can hear you unless they put some icon that they opted out of voice chat.
    • Dbd maintains a level of immersion with the characters, as you never know whos on the other side of the screen, unless its a streamer who you can watch. You just see that character they are playing and thats who you see them as. Sables suddenly getting a 12 year old boy's voice coming out of them, or myers coming at you yelling "I'm gonna gitcha!" would certainly obliterate that immersion (as examples).
    • Killers and survivors being able to talk to eachother mid game would simply bring the end game threats and hatred, and place it throughout the entire game rather than just the 1 end game chat box. Every interaction would be heated arguements from the moment they go down to the moment the killer walks away from them swearing at the killer on the hook. Every knockdown and flashlight blind and pallet stun will now be personal on a much greater level.
    • All voicechat games are known to have trolls, and with how toxic dbd's community is, trolling will be at an alltime high since they've now been given more options.
    • Voicechat would completely eliminate the point of chat censorship and will allow free reign to say WHATEVER you want and not be reported as it cannot be recorded other than on video.
    • As much as soloque needs help to reach the level of SWF coordination, I believe SWF itself is the worst part of balance in the game, since the game was designed with no communication in mind with its core gameplay, which makes SWF teams the most oppresive thing a killer player could face. Voice chat (if it were working as intended) may very well bridge the gap too much to the point where everyone might as well be a SWF team and the killer end of the game would certainly need a buff to compensate, which would again make survivor a worse experience.
    • Even between teammates, survivor players often make mistakes, and now every mistake will cause a verbal arguement, and further seperate the team from wanting to help eachother rather than just a missed skill check, giving a side eye, and moving on with the game. Players would blame eachother for every failed attempt at saving eachother or the whole team going down, it would also help them in betraying their team mates to the killer being able to give specific details of their location.
  • @not_Queef said:

These claim automatically now. You don't have to click a button. They should appear in your in-game inventory as soon as you qualify for them.

I thought that was how it was going to work but then checked. They did not arrive in the game until i got past the claim glitch and clicked the claim button.

  • Well while getting passed around in twitch streams just trying to get the rewards, it landed me on one player using ghoul and was currently on a 515 win streak. Just slugs all 4 in a couple minutes and goes to the next one. They barely evet get 1 generator done. So if hes not S then hes probably in the A's

  • I get the jokes going around and the massive amount of posts about the "streamer nerf" but they did alredy say their part on how it was an attempt at a joke that went poorly (as they are terrified on camera) and clarified it was more for accessibility rather than streamers. Like for example they can shoot long before coming into visual heartbeat range, and you are not expecting them to be a stealth killer so you wouldnt be looking around behind you as much. But unless you see the beam coming, you are getting hit, and not just birds but injured and covered in sparkles. It wasn't really for the streamers

  • Good point. Follow them until scratch marks appear then you are clear to hit. But it also makes tunneling easier in general having a shorter timer.

At most the elusive will help if you start running for the nearest line of sight breaker right after unhook, but hope the unhooker doesnt follow you there to heal lol

I also have a dumb theory that these Castlevania badges might mean another Castlevania character is coming sometime later. As I doubt they just contacted konomi to approve the badges without making any deals for new content.

The last time konomi released all the silent hill legendary badges, along with the xeno queen and rain. Later on we got Hudson and Hinako.

My guess is they will be added when theres another set of resident evil cosmetics or chapter 3. They would most likely be in the same style as the prestige badges

  • As an 8000 hour player seeing "you've just faced The Trapper!" Learn more by seeing the new killer mechanics menu!

Has me going "Trapper? Well i've gotta see this, I wonder what he does."

Notice it only gives you these messages if you lost to them?

  • Mostly the groups within the community that created her. When the 2nd round of voting came around it seperated the the games community, and almost half of the community wanted "blue hair girl". But its not because aurora won, its because the side that won, decided to treat anyone asking for the blue hair girl as a legendary or something later, very poorly. Infact they were downright evil. And thats what i remember aurora for. Purchasing or playing her would feel to me like giving those other players satisfaction. And their behavior will always be in the back of my mind if I were to be playing as her.

I'm also a very old fashioned guy that grew up in the 90s where attractive females in gaming was fine and had nothing to do with objectifying them, and aurora is basicly a 'win' for those that helped overcomplicate gaming today so that many original ideas that couldve been popular today, would not be allowed or they just don't bother trying out of fear of backlash. So i stand with my "blue hair girl" team for several reasons and will not be getting the chapter for aurora.

  • Its the first chapter i'm not getting because of aroura. But the new mmr certainly feels a bit more impactful (knowing that you are being judged for all your actions rather than just victory).

And moment of glory buff i've been enjoying as a Simon Belmont's clothes main.

I also noticed 2 extra hidden achievements so it turned out to be the best time to stop 100%ing those.

  • In my case I was never concerned about vigil. I just remember when Freddy came out, and I really liked how he played back then even tho as a new survivor he was extremely hard to escape from. Since they changed him to the puddles/fake pallets I found him rather boring to play as even though I tried because of the big 3 (Freddy/Jason/Myers) Freddy was my favorite even tho it was just a reboot version.

Then after his rework, I liked his playstyle even less for some reason and have since used him maybe 2 entire times. Vigil changing wouldn't effect my interest in his playstyle.

And my first round since the dlc was against a legion lol, and everyone kept doubling up on gens even tho the killer would show up immediately if they did, which I knew legions usualy have that perk lol
