  • He was my most used character in mortal kombat 1 lol i'm curious if most would prefer T-1000 or T-800 for dbd

  • Well i've heard the Nightmare on elm street license is active again and is making a new movie going back on the original storyline instead of the reboot. Alongside that Robert Englund said he didn't physically have it in him to act as Freddy in a movie anymore, but he would be interested in doing voice work as Freddy.

So the license is certainly doing some interesting things for the first time since Freddy has been in DBD. I don't know if that means itl effect the dbd contract or leave room to improve the contract.

You really are devoted i will take up your advice and add the mentioned collections to my endless list of games ill have to play soonTm. Ill keep you up if i tried em, thanks for the detailed infos👌

I also managed to find Symphony of the night on Mobile. Just in the google play store. Not sure how you feel about mobile games, i kinda stopped playing them cuz the phone starts microwaving my hands lol

    Screenshot_20260815_060914_Google Play Store.jpg
  • I would say that the judgement will likely end up right next to The First. Their lethality and snowball potential is high, but only in the right hands.

While jason will resume being much easier for people to pickup and get results with.

  • I'm just wondering how simple it will be to use mid chase where you can't even take your fingers off the run key or movement keys. Or even on controllers where some wish they could remap certain actions to not be on the same button, which button would it be sharing an action with?

  • I kinda feel the same way about Maggie in dbd (her face doesn't seem to match the character to me).

But i can also say the same for Richter Belmont, who's face had tons of negative feedback, and hasn't been touched.

Allot of silent hill fans also feel the silent hill characters exceot for Hinako, could also use face reworks.

But i'm certain they are saving alllllll these face reworks for the big graphics update where even dwight and kate look almost like different people. They wouldn't just update original characters only so every character in the game will look different once that update hits. I hope they can do justice to all of the problematic faces. Its also why i kinds stopped posting about Richter's face since its now a "wait and see" thing.

I'll have to admit that i never playes any of the castlevania games but your devotion kinda makes me wanna try em lol where do i start?

They do have a few "collections" on steam. Allot of the games are so old now that the only way to play alllll of them is with a mix emulators and buying the collections on steam.

My first castlevania, was castlevania 64 for the N64.

Bhvr's favorite is Symphony of the night, for ps1 (which you play as Alucard).

The one with Shanoa is Order of Eccleslia. (In the dominus collection on steam)

There are 2 games with Soma Cruz in them, Aria of Sorrow (in the advance collection on steam), and Dawn of Sorrow (in the Dominus collection on steam).

The anniversary collection has several of the oldest titles starting with 1-4 where simon belmont was in 1-2, and 4. But they are from the old NES/super nintendo, and if old pixel games that are made very hard on purpose to make them take a long time to beat don't sound boring then it may be worth it.

Long story short maybe you can try one of those 3 collections and symphony of the night on a ps1 emulator or something as i'm not sure if its on the playstation store.

The game that has THAT version of Trevor, is called Curse of Darkness for ps2. I was so confused why they chose that version of Trevor of allllllll the characters in the franchise, because in that game

    • He is not the character you play as
    • He is a reoccuring boss fight
    • He has a very unlikeable personality and constantly picks fights with your character for no reason
    • He gets 1 shotted with a knife by your character's nemisis (who you end up juggling against a wall like he was nothing)
    • Hes just an unlockable character to play as in a storyless new game+ mode.

I mean i've played all fromsoft soulslikes religiously but thats around eight games depending on the counting of remakes and new editions. 27 games is a ton of fun and time.

And the only character that showed up in every single game, was Death. Even when Dracula was not in the game at all, Death would end up being the final boss lol. As far as soulslikes go, i played through dark souls 1, still working on 2. And then i also played Nioh 2, and Code vein (about halfway through each)

oh God it’s gonna my skyrim playthrough all over again.

My favorite side scrolling action rpg of all time tho would be Dragon's Crown. I think its only for playstation tho. As i have it on the psvita and ps4. But i would literally buy it for the 5th time, on pc if it ever shows up on steam lol. One of the boss fights is even a Beholder like the one we got in the dnd map

BHVR just needs to hire you as idea guy to make the perfect chapter, i'm sure no one on their end is as dedicated towards the IP as you.🤣

Lol but they also have Konomi themselves make the chapter with them. I'm just a guy thats played through every game in the series and really like a few characters. (Over 27 games)

Ive heard of bg3. It’s basically just DND right? Because if that is case I would definitely love it especially if it means recreating the greatest character from one of the old campaigns I was a part of who’s literally just the Green Goblin from Spider-Man

Its got an insane amount of customisation and replayability lol most spend like an hour trying to make their first character. I was playing my campaign as shadowheart. As u can make ur own character or choose from the main cast.

And we got a killer for the upcoming second castlevania chapter, perfect!

The characters we mentioned were from Bloodstained. Which is from someone who helped create most of the castlevania games and branched off to do their own thing. In comparison its like Left 4 dead / Back 4 blood. New killer for castlevania tho could be Death, or Carmilla

I wouldn't be surprised if Devs made a Pay to p100 your character

As someone thats played world of warcraft, that would take all the incentive to progress a character to 100 away.

  • Do - It - Yourself tech. Maybe her power is being expanded to include a special attack rather than only plopping drones that do the damage for you. Trophy i have no idea, maybe refering to console achievements since the requirements for her achievements might be changed

I liked the first game already, so I would probably enjoy the sequel if its similar to that.

Well for tactical rpg theres "Baldurs gate 3" which you've likely tried alredy or heard of,

for a stealth/shooter rpg theres "Blood West",

for side scrolling action rpg im currently playing "Dragon : marked for death", and another good side scrolling action rpg is "Absolum" which came out more recently.

I'd asume you've alredy played skyrim / fallout / mass effect. If you like dark souls style games my favorite of those are "Nioh 2", and "Code Vein".

If you like open world survival + pokemon theres "Palworld" that allot of people are into these days, another creature collection shooter called "Voidling bound". "Conan Exiles" is a good open world survival rpg (i even played the whole thing in coop mode). And one much like conan but pirate themed is called "Windrose"

Lastly this ones old but gold, a first/3rd person class based vampire rpg, called "Vampire Masquerade: Bloodlines". Which i would recommend the "good old games.com" version due to them alredy adding all the patches to the game themselves to have it work on stuff like windows 11.

I see it a little differently. As someone who dislikes Anonymous Mode, I don't think the right solution is for me to use it too just because I don't want anonymous players to be able to see my profile or username either. I think it would be fairer if choosing to hide your own profile and username also meant that you couldn't see other players' profiles or usernames.

I can agree with all 3 parts. The hiding of the profile, the the prevention of going to other profiles, and the prevention of talking to other players in the end game chat. From my experience i've seen both sides of anonymous mode, as i've had to use it before as my account name was a funny word that id used for over 13 years, and suddenly my account kept getting attacked and reported everytime id play killer, even by the survivor rulebook.

I saw the benefits of Anonymous mode but did not continue to use it for long. On the other hand i have met many anonymous users who actively play the game to antagonise people while feeling "untouchable" so long as certain things arent said. Which i can imagine is why allot of people don't like anonymous mode being in dbd.

So hiding the persons profile, would benefit the player using it as intended. Preventing them from attacking other profiles and antagonising people in the end game chat, would benefit the players that aren't fond of anonymous mode. I would also add an extra layer if the anonymous mode player could not see the chat, as i see many posts of killer players worried about toxic players in the end game chat and how to deal with the "killer anxiety". Disconnecting anonymous players from the chat entirely would allow players to have a more "complete" anonymous mode where they don't have to worry about interacting with toxic players, and players would not have to worry about arguing with toxic anonymous players.

  • Oh i can recommend a few, but im not sure what kinda games you like. For example

    • Real time strategy
    • Boomer shooters
    • Vampire survivor style games
    • Survival horror games

etc. So what kinda games would you be interested in?

i think she be a killer not a survivor if she was in this game.

I can see that happening. But its odd that shes a villain in 1 game and then one of the playable hero characters in the other lol (if were counting the 8 bit ones)

  • My favorite from Bloodstained happens to be Dominique lol looking forword to their new game as well coming up.

Sorry but dismissing downvotes as something that are being done because no reason is in my opinion can be seen as rude to those that just disagree on your opinion. I myself did not vote anything as in the end I have no opinion of this as don't even know the characters but is it that hard to think there is people who don't want the characters added. They have right to show their opinion as you do and dismissing their opinion by claiming its some "downvote bandit" is wrong.

Sorry. I didnt mean any offense. The downvote bandit is real however. There could a post that everyone is happy with, it could even be something as possitive as reminding everyone what code just came out to put in. And theres a person on the forum that actively goes to every post, and clicks downvote on every single comment. No matter how possitive or negative or simple or complex the comment is. So above i saw a whole string of downvotes on every comment even stuff that was jist downright funny. And asumed it was them.

I'd like to clarify this point: What is the difference between Custom Mode and this mode? Is Custom Mode inefficient because it uses up the entire match time?

Its the ease of use. For example being able to test muscle memory of a special attack on a stationary target. So that by the time you start chasing players with it, you know exactly what it does and have the timing/arc etc down and can then learn to use it against players easier. As apose to going up against bots programmed to make an m1 killer miserable that dodge half your shots before you can see what it actually does or where it actually hits. Like learning what objects are too tall to shoot hellfire pillars through, without having to be stressed out in a chase while learning.

Take overwatch for example, they have a shooting range so you can test out every character's mobility powers, weapons, how much damage each shot does etc, and you can test it out as long as you want till you are ready to bring it to pvp. All we have for trying out a new killer is a timed skirmish.

  • I'm not sure how much this forum can be updated/changed/improved, as its clear we can't even bring in more character pfps.

But something that could help the forum mods and the players giving feedback, is an automatic tickbox to say if your post was read by a forum mod, and another box to say if the feedback will be delivered to the Development team.

As I have been on this forum for a few years, and I honestly can say, I have never once had a forum mod aknowledge me or my feedback, or say it will be delivered to the team. Infact I am not sure if a single post i've ever made has been looked at.

I have seen a few posts get aknowledgement about their feedback not being heard, and the usual response is that they try to read everything they can, and can't get around to all of it sometimes, as they are busy with other work.

Adding these kinds of tickboxes (if its possible) would allow the forum mods a quick way to tell the posters that their feedback is infact being looked at, and if it seems important enough to deliver to the team or its just something they know they can't change or improve.

Perhaps these tickboxes could even be made to help sort through read and unread posts, so they don't have to swim through the sea of posts that they've alredy seen to find a new one.

The primary feedback I have been trying to deliver since the Castlevania Rift nearly 2 years ago, is that Castlevania fans would still like to see the Castlevania Cosplays that came in around that time - as Legendary skins. There are big fans of Simon, big fans of Shanoa, big fans of Sypha and Maria etc and the bigger fans of those characters would still happily buy those characters as legendary skins as the cosplays are just not enough to fulfill that fantasy of playing as those characters in Dead by Daylight. They are also still interested in a Chapter 2 if possible. With the most likely killer being Death. There aren't a lot of voices for Castlevania but most of them are very dedicated fans.

I am aware that I can't just ask for something and have it happen. But all I am hoping for, is that my feedback has been heard, and delivered to the team, for them to decide on what to do with it.

But back to the above topic^ would it be possible to improve the forum in this way? And if not is there a better way to aknowledge feedback for forum users to feel heard? Because as it stands right now, there is no way to know if a post was even looked at by a forum mod, unless they directly make a comment.

Your words just prove tenfold that we NEED another castlevania chapter asap. The devs can't be so cruel and let you beg your heart out for years!

Thank you, that does seem to be the most likely option if any, as theres an opportunity to have 1 chapter for all the male characters and a 2nd for all the female characters (all of which ended up as cosplays)

  • @Angy_Quentin As for why I like Shanoa most out of the whole Castlevania roster of over 27 games, its not just because shes a very attractive character that looks kinda gothic.

Shes actualy uniquely relatable for me, in that she doesn't feel emotions (a price paid to have that tattoo on her back with the power to absorb glyphs). I have some kinda mental condition where i cannot feel excitement, started back in 2011, excitement like holidays, vacations, people, favorite movies/games etc, i can't even feel nostalgia lol. She also never smiles, for anybody (which I rarely ever smile myself unless i find something funny and I obviously have a strong sense of humour) As some of the characters in the story try to get her to smile but she just has no reason to.

The other thing is she has a brother in the story which is the 2nd main character. (I happen to be a brother to a twin sister). Aside from her being relateable, she also delivers the most emotional ending in the entire castlevania franchise (to me). As this picture here vvv

    Shanoa%27s_memories_restored.jpg

Without playing the whole game you won't know what shes smiling about or why shes crying, but again she smiles for nobody. So this moment is huge^ because her brother is sacrificing his soul to take her place and his last request is to see her smile. (Because the power she used to defeat Dracula was also going to consume her life/soul) so being a twin i felt that moment and even tear up just thinking about it. So shes got a lot of emotional/relateable value to me and man was it painful to see her as a cosplay when she was the main person i was hoping for in the collab lol (aside from Simon Belmont)

  • Same lol he is prettymuch the Optimus Prime of the Belmonts. Have you played the mobile game Castlevania Grimoire of souls? Cuz thats the game that got me to like him the most. As they gave him a personality and he talked to all the characters like Richter and Shanoa and Alucard and even Maria (they were kinda being pulled out of their timelines into this central space by the grimoire of souls which is why they were all there). And he was prettymuch the most heroic good guy of the bunch lol with Richter looking up to him like a living legend. I was devistated to see him as a cosplay lol

I really hope they relaunch the license as a whole while unifying and reworking badham, polish freddys power and give a bunch of cosmetics to my dear boy.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/CNL7WKLTJ2EK/images.jpeg

If you don't mind my asking, what is it that makes Quentin your favorite? (Out if everyone in the game) i've seen the first 4 nightmare on elm streets, didnt get to watch the reboot so i barely know who Quentin is lol

  • @Angy_Quentin said:

Always, i'm still praying for some crumbs for my dear boy quanton and the fredster. It's a shame they got a face lift and a several power reworks, but never any skins at all! Justice!

I do feel your pain lol. I've always wondered how quentin mains keep playing quentin when hes only got those 2 outfits, as a rebecca main whos only got 2.5 outfits i get bored of playing her pretty quickly. Lots of new stuff happening with the nightmare on elm street license for the first time in a while so perhaps there is a chance for new stuff there. They've gone back to the original storyline instead of the reboot one. They just wont have Robert acting as Freddy due to physical problems, but he did say he would like to do voice work for Feddy still, (which is kind of all we need tonget the ball rolling lol)

  • As for what I meant by the possibility of more castlevania content because of the Dracula figurine, I meant this one:

    9-2-3-player-card-and-charms-customization-v0-rzsqevvtthwf1.png

As there are a ton of castlevania charms, but none of them are a figurine of Trevor, while usualy they make a charm of both side's characters. They mentioned in the AMA that licenses hold off on cosmetics until they have a specific event or 2nd chapter tied to them, and then release cosmetics in a batch.

The last batch however shared with Silent hill since it was a Konomi 2v8 introducing Dracula / Pyramid head in 2v8, and then adding only 1 cosmetic per konomi character. Meanwhile silent hill recieved yet another character very recently.

I hope this petition can be delivered as feedback to the team as the Castlevania characters that came in as cosplays, are still wanted characters for legendary skins, not just by me (i've met people that want these characters but noone seems to talk about it). there aren't many ways to bring that information to bhvr other than maybe the surveys? Which of course i've always used those opportunities to bring up this topic^

As for why i'm so persistant on having these characters as legendaries, when they currently exist as cosplays, is the fact that the cosplays do not deliver the fantasy of playing as those characters in dbd. Cosplays are more like showing a tribute to your favorite character of a franchise. Playing as the actual character is an entirely different feeling as you are that character, not someone wearing their clothes.

I may have been somewhat annoying in this persistance, but its only because i have no idea if my feedback has ever been heard or delivered. Once i know that, i will know i've done everything i could do as just another player of the game. So in short all i'm hoping for is the delivery of the feedback, that cosplay characters are still wanted for legendary skins.

Thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed analysis! You hit the nail on the head — and your comparison with the Xenomorph is absolutely spot on.

You're right: the Xenomorph in DBD lost its stealth identity because it just runs around in the open, and the turrets are only a mild deterrent. The Thing, however, has the potential to be different — it can actually adapt to the situation.

That's exactly why I designed two distinct phases in my concept:

    · Phase 1 — Infiltration (Stalker): The Thing disguises itself as a Survivor, completely losing its Terror Radius and Red Stain. This allows it to close the distance silently. The disguise breaks upon attacking — it's a tool for the first hit, not a permanent stealth mode. This phase is all about paranoia and social manipulation, just like in the movie.

    · Phase 2 — True Form (Aggressive Hunter): When The Thing sacrifices its disguise (by placing flesh-traps on generators/windows), it becomes locked in its grotesque True Form. In this state, it regains its Terror Radius, but becomes an aggressive, unstoppable hunter — much like the Xenomorph, but with a key difference: The Thing chooses when to be aggressive, and it pays a price for it (losing the ability to mimic).

This way, The Thing adapts to the Survivors' playstyle:

    · If they're scattered and careless — you play as a stalker and pick them off one by one.

    · If they're coordinated and stick together — you sacrifice stealth for map control through traps and become a relentless monster.

Your point about The Thing absorbing memories and personalities is absolutely crucial. That's exactly what makes it so terrifying in the movie — it doesn't just kill, it becomes its victims. It knows their fears, their secrets, their relationships.

Now, implementing that fully into DBD would be incredibly difficult. However, I think there are small but powerful ways to capture that feeling:

    · Voice lines: The Thing, while in a Survivor's form, could occasionally speak fragments of that Survivor's memories — things only they would know. Imagine hearing your own character say something personal about you. That would be genuinely unsettling.

    · Special connection: The Survivor whose form The Thing has taken could feel a unique bond with the Killer — visual distortions, strange whispers, or even subtle UI changes when they are near each other. It would make the mimicry feel personal, not just visual.

These would be more atmospheric touches rather than complex mechanics — they add psychological depth without breaking the game's balance.

That's why I focused on mimicry instead of full memory absorption. Mimicry is simple, effective, and already exists in DBD (Ghost Face, Pig). The Clone copies the Survivor's skin, animations, and silhouette perfectly. It's not just a visual trick — it's a way to exploit the Survivors' own knowledge of each other. When they see their teammate, they have to hesitate. Is that really them? That moment of doubt is where The Thing wins.

Mimicry is achievable. Memory absorption as a core mechanic would be a dream for a sequel or a movie, but for DBD — I think keeping it grounded in mechanics that already work is the smarter choice.

Thanks again for the great feedback — it means a lot coming from a veteran like you! 🙏🔥

One small detail that might still complicate the mimicry part, is that it doesn't mimic someone thats still alive, it seems to fully absorb them first. In which case if the mimic form is just for the sake of quick stealth to get close enough, perhaps the thing could change into survivors on the entire roster at random? (Including the base skin of survivors in the match) As its clear that being able to mimic and trick survivors wouldnt be possible in dbd as that requires more of an "among us" style of gameplay where the survivors are not in constant communication even after death, and aren't aware of what everyone is doing on the HUD (and will also keep their distance from other survivors but that might be the only benefit). It may be just as unsettling to see a survivor that wasn't part of the group which will imply the thing has alredy killed and absorbed other survivors in the entity's realm. It can also still easily grant the first hit of the match possibly moreso than other stealth killers. Imagine the round starts and noone knows who the killer is yet, you split up and go on a generator and here comes Meg to help with the gen, and then dawns on you that there was no meg in the group, but its alredy too late as they've found you and reached striking distance.

Lastly there is also the complication of a Licensed killer taking the form of another licensed survivor. So it would likely have ro be restricted to original survivors only. And Then theres the complication of updating the things coding to add another original survivor to its pool of forms, each time a new original survivor comes out.

Don't think so. Every now and then someone (unknowingly) resurrects a post from years ago and it ends up on the front page again.

I even have posts of Before and After the great betrayal lol

I've occasionally seen them being refered to as "Necro posts" lol , new post comes up with an interesting topic and you go to comment only to read the date saying 2020 or something so for all we know the original poster is long gone by then lol

  • I'm suprised we don't have a collab with Snickers, as we could make quite a few "you're not you when you're hungry" commercials out of the end game chat screens alone lol

As for tips on how to overcome the anxiety, is to treat playing killer like its a single player game, that has bots programmed to make you feel bad or say the worst things they can think of. Just play the killer because you enjoy its playstyle or theme. And don't worry about winning or losing. Its a hard game and the RNG often throws you under the bus, and unless you play in the most hated way possible, you are not supposed to win everytime like those winstreaks. And im not saying to actively treat the survivor players poorly, everyone has their mindset on how they want to play the game i still avoid tunneling and all that, but i've seen a lot of killers talk about how they enjoyed killer much more by not caring about the survivors oppinons and just tunneling or doing whatever is necessary to make the game easier.

The only reason you are feeling the anxiety is because you are worried about what the people on the other end think of you as the 1 player against them. So once you stop worrying about them it gets easier. The chat box also has some kinda option to keep it closed, if you don't want to have to skip the chat anymore.
