Can we get another simple original killer like Wraith or Legion?
With the release of the Judgement right around the corner and while having the highest skill ceiling and skill floor so far, i can't help but feel like that Dead by Daylight needs a new modern original killer that is simple to pick up and play as like the Wraith or Legion because i don't really think that overly complex/difficult killers like the Judgement are going to bring in new players once they eventually find out that the killer is extremely difficult to play as, if we do get another easy to play original killer then i would love it if it was either a parasite, werewolf, zombie or a mummy.
I know that BHVR loves to power creep every new killer they put into the game but i would love it if we got a new easy to play original killer.

I think all 4 of those options might have been in the community voted chapter at the beginning. Most Myers still bring the tuft of hair addon to be more like the og simple myers.
The worst part i find with new killers is the first thing everyone does is try to place it on a strength level tier list and say its crap if its below a certain tier, which causes them to be pressured into making stronger killers rather than simpler.
The problem is that those simple killers are not very good in current form of the game. I defienetly think that Wraith is somewhat fine, but Legion struggles against any competent team. Modern killers have good antiloop, insane map mobility and something more to it either tracking or slowdown. Judgment for example has no mobility, but fact that she can completely skip hooking, deny any antitunnel perks and damage people everywhere compensate for slow mobility. Even if Legion has 7m/s frenzy and guaranteed down on every frenzy use they would still be mid at best.
Let's have a guy that has to stare at a survivor for a few seconds, which sucks the fear out of him and puts them in the deep wound state. Then you transfer all that energy to a dull totem and conduct a 10-second ritual to power yourself up.
When in powered up mode, you move at 150% speed and lunges are 200% longer. You also phase through pallets and windows and can't be stunned. But your attacks don't down survivors and only put them in deep wound.
Once you have put all survivors into deep wound, you can then run to the basement and conduct another 10-second ritual to make all generators explode and be blocked for 2 minutes.
During this time you are undetectable and get killer instinct on all survivors every 5 seconds.
Now you can down survivors with your power, but the problem is hooks no longer work. You must place a survivor into a locker, which is a reskinned coffin, and it looks great, trust. The survivor cannot be rescued from the locker conventionally. Another survivor must search the map for a skeleton key. 8 spawn on the map per trial. If the survivor is not rescued from the locker within 100 seconds, they instantly die.
Alternatively, you can just M1 them and hook them normally.
Also, let's give this guy a 60 meter radius ability he can do to cause all survivors to scream, usable every 15 seconds. And lets give him mummy minions like the Nemesis zombies, because everyone loves those and they are fun, right?
What a cool and original idea if I do say so myself. Pretty good job so far.
Not to be that guy, but the last original Killer released (IMO way too many licsenses, since this is also over a year ago) was exactly that. Krasue is really easy to pick up and learn, she is just too dull.
But I get what you mean, since I would not compare Krasue to Wraith or Legion, who are both actually fun to play as. And they are even more simple. So maybe we need an even more simple Killer, but BHVR also knows that this would not be that popular. Since people either want something they can learn and master (and Bing Bong Hit is not really something you take a lot of time to learn or master…) or a really strong Killer. And a Killer who is as simple as Wraith will never be anything more than a midrange Killer. Which would be fine by me personally, but I dont think they will be very popular.
is this not Jason? he just teleports conveniently around survivors, finds them with relative ease, has haste and a simple range power. about as basic and straightforward as we can get
