- Yeah and then they basically Nerfed Jason ever since release
And a lot of his nerfs were undeserved.

If you choose to lie I will expose your lie
1.springtrap on release they buffed the door to be like 1-2 metres away from the gen, with most gens having no vision to the dashboard and springtrap is invisible for about 1s when he gets out of teleport.
2.Jason they reworked deputy's badge which turns it into a bullshit addon and got nerfed later because it's too OP.

They overbuffed every single killer for at least two years on release except I would say Unknown. Like why the actually hell is PTB there if they don't test these buffs in the PTB. Why the hell do they not test the buffs in PTB instead they are testing buffs in live server and make every survivor frustrated.
they didnt overbuff Springtrap or Jason

And without the curve it made it much harder to hit even when you did exile someone.
the curve was already in a perfect spot, it did not need a second buff

Singularity overtuned? That's interesting…I disagree. I think the changes were fine and I am glad they added it so that survivors spawn over 30 meters away from the Killer. That was actually kinda insane to spawn right ontop of the killer.
The issue was the curve window for zealous mode getting changed yet again. That was not needed, and it makes judgment harder to dodge

Hopefully it will help with situations like this - there is only 0.6 seconds between any audio or visual indication and the beam hitting survivors:
True

@Xendritch said:
So are they not reworking the add on? Cuz I don't know why you would ever not use the toggle over the add on if so.
Kinda ambivalent to the beam changes. Use of misdirection and hiding it behind buildings is still the play so nothing really changed there. This change only punishes people who fire in a straight line.
Yeah not reworking the addon is certainly a choice I will say. but the beam changes is like still a why since I feel its completely pointless and unnecessary
-
@MechWarrior3 said:
I’m honestly not seeing how any of these changes make Judgment “harder” to play. None of this touched the actual aiming or pathing of Divine Light…it’s mostly QoL and information for both sides.
The only thing that arguably makes long‑range plays trickier is the beam being revealed from farther away, but survivors could already dodge it at range if they were paying attention, and in exchange you now get Killer Instinct for downs and near‑misses which massively helps tracking and follow‑up pressure. Fair trade if you ask me.
Also the Jason comparison feels a bit dramatic here..His nerfs removed specific, very strong interactions, whereas this is more like BHVR tightening the info loop around a killer that’s already pretty niche and map‑dependent. If anything, Judgment needed help with consistency and feedback.The beam being more visible and giving a UI indication just gives way too many indications for the survivor, like ray of retribution already gave enough indication to avoid getting sniped this just feels completely overkill. And I would argue that Judgment's nerfs are worse than Jason's, because while the nerfs made him feel a bit worse to play he is still a strong killer and didn't make him that harder, but with Judgment one of the main appeals of the killer was the ability to snipe and making that even more difficult just makes no sense.

No they patched that as a bugfix (Even though its obviously a nerf)

@Mandy said:
I'm sorry that this killer is not for you, I do agree that the skill floor is very high - and that will likely mean more casual players will be less inclined to learn the killer as it is going to take time and effort, although the payoff for that time and effort is that you have a very strong killer as a result.
There's going to be no revote, the voting represented what players want and we even did do small revotes during the period when the opportunity was available. Ultimately, the winning options are what is in the PTB.
With regards to a controller, there are specific controller settings that put it almost on par with Keyboard and Mouse, even with the movement of the beam, so we're confident that this is not going to be a barrier for entry.
Thats great to hear. but on an unrelated is there plans for some qol for Judgment like making heretic's mark addon base kit and making a sound cue for when you spawn the beam too close to a survivor but it didn't delay quick enough? (Not to be confused with prayer kneeler as I don't want THAT addon specifically to be made base kit) And if possible to answer is there plans to revisit Singularity? There is a growing consent that Singularity received many changes that removed a lot of his depth and lowered his skill floor to the point you can do very well with HUX with doing very little effort. (If you cant answer that last oneI completely understand Mandy. )

there is no plans for one for Braemar, Aestri is the default - so it will be the same for Legion as well.
Okay…. What about Victor? He is not a skin, he is entirely part of the Twins. Like the Charlotte badge is nice and all but I wish Victor also got something. Not to mention Baermar gets a prestige outfit, same with Julie. At least make Susie and Joey's badges be obtainable by purchasing any of their outfits like with Legendary outfits and some outfits that arent legendary.

Do you call Ghostface a dash killer then since he ambushes people with his stealth?
-
@Emeal said:
When people asked for a rework for Myers people wanted you guys to make the current Myers feels better, NOT making him into a dash killer. Slaughtering Strike as a concept is not inherently a bad idea, albeit a bit generic. It works fine as a chase power. But it just doesnt work on Michael Myers. Michael is not someone who moves quickly and charges at people.
https://youtu.be/hGJXpLjytgc?feature=shared&t=21
Michael Myers literally dashes at the Bob Character after his Sex Scene. Zooming out of the Closet at super speed.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/WOMXHRR8P4OO/image.png
This scene here could also equally be a very short Lunge, because he has undetectable in Evil Within Mode.
You guys are super picky when it comes to when you suspend your disbelief and its not at all fair in my opinion.
Thats not a dash thats an ambush attack, that he does after Bob opens the closet. Thats in character for Myers to attack his prey from hidden places.

Well I seriously doubt devs are gonna revert it best case scenario is give it a bunch of buffs to match or be greater then tier 3
But it is possible since it happened with Sadako with ofc the fact she got buffs from her first rework
-
@Throw said:
Stance switching is fine they gotta work on Slaughtering Strike more cause atm it's a worse pig dash
I think they should just scrap that power and bring back old tier 3 and give it substantial buffs
-
WIth you know… 4.4 speed. Making it 4.2 was just plainly dumb
-
@Xray said:
i think the way they should have done it is to not have the modes but add stuff to his tier 3 like brutal strength and enduring but also just get coup de grace instead of holding down a button to charge up a big dash like lunge. Adding the mori to the survivors on death hook was a cool change imo, a decent way to keep tombstone around while changing the addons themselves. Or instead of just getting enduring what if he could just rip down a standing pallet and destroy it himself while in tier 3 but it would just eat up a chunk of the meter idk im just spitballing a idea.
I agree with what they should have done with tier 3 but I think stance switching should remain since having a way for Myers to go back to stealth is great and fits the character really well, and make his stealth killer position not be a joke
-
@ninjabsbx said:
So the Myers rework dropped and I am very disappointed in how it turned out and this post explains my and many of the community's grievance points.
So firstly lets start with the positives of the rework:- The stance switching mechanic.
Myers's status as a stealth killer has always been a bit of a joke since as soon as Myers hit tier 2 it would go away forever so the ability to switch back to a stealth killler and then back to a regular killer is a great change and fits the character perfectly so good job! - Bringing back the old tiering sound cue
This sound was always really creepy when it heard but it was understandably removed when the power was the way it was before since it was a major downside to Myers but now its a really good way to bringing it back. - Basekit tombstone.
Even though the addon was fun, it was unhealthy and ever since they added killers that had the ability to kill survivors under specific conditions that does the idea in a better and healthier way: Sadako and Vecna. But I am glad you guys kept tombstone with it working on survivors who are on the last hook and you removed the really annoying counterplay of lockers, which made going for the Evil Incarnate achievement really annoying so that was a great change. - 99% removed.
This is a great change since it means Myers no longer has to hold a 99% to get value of his power and removes the - A way to go back into the old power.
This was a good thing to come out of the rework since it allows people that prefer the old power to have a way to play it without needing to install an outdated build with only customs and it also comes with basekit tombstone so thats a huge plus.
But now that the positives are out of the now its time to get into the negative and this rework has a lot of them.
- Tier 1 and stalking changes reverted
I have to first ask this question: Why? One ofr the biggest grievances people had with Myers in his old power is that he was too slow on Tier 1 and that the stalk was awkward because it felt weird that Myers would get close and personal to stalk, and before the rework you buffed his tier 1 speed to 4.4 and made his stalk increase on longer distance, which was great and made Myers feel like a predator stalking its prey. Which now begs the question: Why would you guys go back to changes that were universally praised by the community and Myers players alike. It just boggles my mind specially since you made memorial flower make him 4.4 and its basically a mandatory addon on him now than it was before. - Pursuer mode buffs.
So tier 2 or as we know it know as pursuer mode is mostly the same aside from giving him increased pallet speed break and reduced duration. Those aren't bad inherently. Except… Why not make it go for Tier 3? Everyone agreed that tier 3 needed them since tier 3 is nowadays really outdated, specially comparing to killers that came after like Oni, Kaneki, Chucky and Krasue who have different modes. And this leads to the biggest grievance which is what everyone is talking. - Slaughtering Strike.
He is a silent stalking predator who only strikes when its too late for the victim to react. This power fits the 2007 remake Rob Zombie version more, but we don't have that version, we have the 1979 original Halloween version of Michael Myers. And this just makes The Shape not feel like the Shape anymore and feels more like a 6'4 version of Chucky. But there is more to this than removing Myers's thematic feeling. Its clunky. you need to charge and then let go, and you are slowed down significantly and the the camera turning feels awful to play with, and the fact you need to enter an animation before you can enter tier 3 makes Myers feel too clunky. I get the last one was to adress the fact it could be annoying for survivors that he popped tier 3 in your face and there was nothing you could do about it, but Myers is too weak to justify such a change. And this power just makes me ask myself: "Why am I not just playing Chucky?"
So in conclusion: Myers's rework is our first failed rework since the first Freddy rework who also made him not feel like Freddy. And unlike Freddy's first rework that made him an A tier killer, Myers did not get that much stronger, He is still a weak killer but now he is both weak and unfaithful to the source material. Reworks on killers shouldnt just change a killer, they should also preserve a killer's core identity and gameplay. Your best reworks are Doctor, Bubba, Freddy 3.0 and Sadako 3.0 who all made them feel better to play, while keeping their identity. (Although in Freddy's case he didnt have any identity) So please. Start another rework that keeps the good parts of the rework while making Michael Myers feels like Michael Myers.
- This is a great change since it means Myers no longer has to hold a 99% to get value of his power and removes the
I forgot to finish this, but essentially it makes Myers feel much better without accidentally popping tier 3 which is nice
- The stance switching mechanic.

Why wasn't something put into motion months ago when they started development of this patch? Surely, the devs must have known that certain killers rely on slugging, so I'm scratching my head as to why updating or compensating those killers wasn't something that was done as part of the development process.
The thing is they did compensate Oni who would be affected by it. Which it sounds good on paper though we will see how much orbs it spawns. But the fact they compensated Oni but not Twins is wild
-
Okay… So after finding out that the anti slug change is basically infinite unbreakable… Why isnt there any compensation for Twins? Like… There is no reason to NOT compensate them if one of their strongest perk counters is being made basekit and is infinite use.

I think the way you said it is harsh but I agree. Because aside from the QOL changes that Twins got (Which was good) and a small nerf recently. BHVR hasnt really done anything to try and make the current version. Twins werent as buggy as right now. Like even years ago, they were still playable but now they work less consistently now than they used to. At this point a recode akin to what Nurse got would be ideal.
@PixelBush said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3990157#Comment_3990157
I disagree. Beef up the Haste when switching back to Charlotte and the free Unbreakable becomes far more manageable. Twins are possibly the only Killer in DBD who would naturally cause Survivors to be on the ground for 90s in the course of regular gameplay because it takes so long to pick up your downs. Minimising their downtime between downing and hooking by buffing the Haste would go a LONG way to help this.
Failing that, make the 90s timer pause/go slower while Victor is attached to someone else. This encourages Twins to latch onto someone healthy and split pressure instead of leaving Victor to camp the slug and punish Survs for not kicking Victor and allowing Twins to snowball.
Yeah this would be a good change, that would help Twins a lot and doesn't make them suffer because of the anti slug and hell… it works as a bandaid fix until you guys want to rework Twins again. Whenever that happens of course.
-
@CLHL said:
I find it incredible that after all these years of the same discussion, they haven't done something as basic as giving the twins the ability to switch positions, so that Charlotte can hook whoever Victor takes down without having to cross the entire map. The solutions to all of this killer's problems have always been that simple, but here we are they telling us: “Just add it to the list of unplayable killers and wait.” It's no surprise that there are practically no mains for this killer; they're basically telling you to stop playing.
I think the way you said it is harsh but I agree. Because aside from the QOL changes that Twins got (Which was good) and a small nerf recently. I assume this means the idea of what a fix would be would require heavier work, and therefore, if this is already on the devs' radar, also explains why the Twins are still kinda… in the state they're in?
I am slightly concerned specially because next year we already have 3 reworks coming up being Trickster (Early 2026), Skull Merchant (Early 2026 as well assuming it doesnt get delayed again due to the recent delays) and Trapper (ETA unknown). So its concerning because there would be no ETA for Twins just like Trapper. And then there is the situation with the attempted Twins rework that mostly got reverted. So there is also the concern of gameplay identity preservation which is what reworks should thrive to do.
-
Okay but like this is slightly worrying because, Oni received compensation since he would be negatively affected by the anti slug changes due to how his power works, And this also negatively affects them but worse than Oni since Twins's problem is that they cant pick up survivors normally like any other killer because of how victor functions due to separting from charlotte and Charlotte cant pick quick enough.
-
The improvements of this are very good homever it still strays away from being a trap killer and we have so few of these that it just feels wrong removing one. I will make a proposed change later and link it.
-
Thankfully the Twins never hit live because oh my god if people already hate Twins they would HAVE hated the Rework Twins on PTB, and it would have required them to make victor kickable after he takes a health state which would have made them awful to play as.
-
I dont like them. Because not only it pretty much removes her identity and removes our third trap killer since Hag, it also potentially brings back Chess Merchant because of the fact the drones can be placed to guard a gen and she can switching to use the drone and if she finds a survivor she will take a health state and replace the drone and this makes her drones work like Victor except you have 5 of them, and could also make her great at slugging since she can also place a drone to guard a survivor getting slugged. Sure there is a anti slug mechanic coming up but we dont know what it does and how it accomplishes that, It also makes the usual complaints of "placing drone at loop and zone" worse, cuz if the activation time where the drone can be activated is short enough that she can get a down she basically becomes worse Artist. And also there is the fact a drone in chase might be obnoxious. Sure we know its slightly faster than merchant and it has a limited time, but if its fast enough that it can catch up to a survivor it can make the battery downside meaningless and if it flies over pallets or windows it will make it Dracula's bat form that can down you. Of course we dont know if the things I listed are possible cuz we don't have the exact numbers but these are the potential problems this rework brings aside from removing any identity she has, It could even be like the Twins rework where it was such a mistake that the only way to balance it out would be to make them weak (Like Skull Merchant currently is on live) but would eventually require a FOURTH rework and thus commence the cycle again. Yes Skull Merchant did need a rework but it didnt have to be on this drastic of a change.

Another idea in which I never saw people talking about is having the 4 mascots. The idea of the of gang is tied to Legion using masks like the FNAF 4 bullies but personally I want to give the mascot skins to the 4 original killers like Trapper as Freddy, Wraith as bonnie, Nurse as Chica and Billy and Foxy. Well i got lots of matches where i found survivors near a hooked survivor and they raged like crazy and not to mentiom that most twitch streamers (Not all of them) thinl they are hot ######### that when they win they are like "gg ez" and when they fail they are like "gg trash team and killer". not saying all twitch streamers are bad in fact some of them ar pretty chill. And survivors should know this by now: Its not camping if you know someone is nearby. Like lets say u have bbq and u dont see auras then u know they are nearby or you are the doctor and used static blast. Ye survivors sometimes dont admit their mistakes and they will blame others despite not being their fault.
-
I'd say Oni, Ghostface, Myers, Demogorgon and Doctor
Out of all the 4 i'd say the oni is what i am enjoying the most because i love his bloodfury mode and when i am against him i try to hide as possible.
Ghostface cuz of stealth aspect.
Myers because i love to put fear in survivor (Also because of Karma lol)
Demogorgon because he is so cool and scary.
And doctor i started to enjoy him a lot because i hated to switch stances and i love that he discourages altruism because of his static blast.
