Who knows maybe we will get a wwe collab with 90s kane as a skin for trapper lol
-
Id give chucky his manual scamper back just make it a slightly longer animation
-
My duo partner loves trickster, but absolutely refuses to play killer unless its 2v8. They enjoyed it when i made them try killer around the time they started but ince they started getting all the bully squads n stuff they just don't want to play killer at all. They havent even tried out trickster since his changes. Bought the mina skin but never used it yet.
I don't exactly get too stressed about losing as killer anymore, but i will admit when I go to pick between survivor and killer theres certainly hesitation to pick killer as survivors kind of the role you expect to lose, hope to win on, while killer you kind of expect to win more but then end up not doing so when you get a really tough organised group.
My advice for getting over killer anxiety is to play killer with a survivor mindset, as in expect to lose hope to win. That way if you do start losing you don't feel stressed about it and just try to get what points you can like you would in a hopeless survivor match. Takes the stress of having to outplay 4 people because you got this killer to p100 and feel like you have to prove you are good at it or something lol.
-
I kinda just play to get the dailies done and log off, though now that ive finnished the rift in over a month in advance, i don't even have a reason to do the dailies either so i only log in to grt the login bonus, and if theres a new page of quests ill do them. But aside from that im not really incentivised to play since ive kinda done all there is to do, achievments, tome challenges, 9 p100s to a point where its kinda losing its value. The only time id feel obligated to play often is for the anniversary cakes, like i got over 1000 cakes each on a couple characters i was prestiging at the time.
But i do feel what you mean how the game gets miserable mostly. My duo makes me play survivor with them on wednesday/thursday, and honestly i escape like 5% of the time when playing with them. And then on killer ill play something like chucky and its a 50% chance ur having a good time or ur on a map like "the game" and you swear half of them have windows of opportunity lol lucky to get even 1 kill.

Ah ok. I mean anti-loop can be a lot of things, and killers kind of need some form of anti-loop in this game, at least in most cases. So I for one am quite excited for that killer.
But also remember the community voted for a straight firing continuous beam which sounded pretty busted, they made it and went "yea this is kinda busted so how about this kinda beam instead?"
-
I miss the old pace of the game. Like tunneling didnt feel personal u just died and went to the next round in peace somehow lol, was there no end game chat back then? And the lighting i remember hiding in plain sight as blendette, quite often lol

I thought the power of the community voted killer looked pretty unique. Having to control the projectile while it's being sent out. Unless the power has changed and isn't that what I think it is anymore.
It is unique i just meant the community has also alredy called it range slop or antiloop slop or henry 2.0 and stuff when they showed the first videos of it. The obstacle course thing will certainly be different as the first new survivor objectives in a long time.

There is this guy called mango who plays Nurse with sweaty builds and i played against him 2 times, 1 time with my friend who just started game
1st match, Vee got hatch. It just happened that Sable was from the same country as we are

It was funny ngl, i needed to screenshot those.
Hey ive actualy met that guy too lmao he was just as horrible

One thing that kinda bothers me the same way is the tier list itself. Like a killer comes to the ptb, and the first thing the community does is try to grade it, then complain if its under A tier, or complain that its S tier and needs nerfs. So their entire development process of new killers is it has to be real strong so we can nerf tweak it back to A tier.
Rather than just developing a killer based off unique ideas for gameplay, its gotta satisfy the tier list first.
-
The community voted chapter is a big example. For survivor they voted for something they don't want to use, just something we don't have alredy, so they want something unique but don't want to use it. For killer they voted for something unique but made sure the power was basic antiloop cuz thats what theyd want to play lol
-
Ive seen posts in the past and the answers were they are at maximum capacity for pfp choices or something.
-
There are 3 blendettes in that picture. Can you see them?
-
Ive had someone go out of their way to attack my steam profile and report my name i had for over 13 years, and got it banned for once. All over a lighthearted joke meant for them to find funny too. Like one of the survivors was complaining at the end saying something about having 3 useless teammates, the killer said "make that 4" and im like "make that 5 lol" "well thats not very nice" procedes to attack me personally
-
Nope. Just dont stand still at the start from match or it can flag you afk.
Like for the huntress long range hits achievement i just stood on the 2nd level of red forest main building chucking hatchets until everyone started lining up for long range dodgeball

Wraith's relative simplicity gives a high skill ceiling, but also works against him because he's just not very glamourous. Playing Wraith is fun, but watching him is more of an acquired taste. I think people just like having cool powers and high potential for skillshots/dopamine rushes. Wraith is much more chill than that, despite having to earn his wins.
I also think his aesthetics are dated, meaning he doesn't draw people in beyond being the killer you learn how to play killer with, before graduating to the one that draws you in most. When the game had just added myers i recall wraith being the most fun pick for me at the time lol
He would probably draw some players if he had a legendary of somekind, but no license comes to mind involving a bell power
-
I would say remove collision and hitbox on unhook, but cut the time down by half once all generators are powered.
-
Killer instinct is full of horror style killers that could fit in the game, like Spinal, Glacius, Saberwulf, Gargos, Fulgore, Riptor, Hisako, Aganos, Eyedol, Kan-Ra, Kilgore, Sadira, and Mira are all non human killer possibilities
-
Lastly i would ask the knight if he can say " Ni! "
-
Id also ask clown "what's on the VHS?"
-
Can't say ive done it myself but its the same reason theyd t bag n nod after pallet stuns etc. Just because they can and it depends on the player's personallity.
One person i used to play with insisted on t bagging at all times and insulting in the end game chat regardless of how the round went. But they were also the same type of person who would play friday the 13th, get the parts for the car and procede to run all the other survivors over finding it funny. Infact the reason i no longer play with them is because they accused a claudette of sandbagging them early in the match and declared that everyone else in the group should let them die on the hook. I did not comply and as soon as she popped off the hook, the friend disconnected, kicked me out of the discord group chat, and we havent talked since.
It truly is just a quick ego thing that ive never felt the need to do. Ill stay when the killer needs to be distracted for a hook save near the gate, but otherwise if everyone is safe and able to make it to a gate i just leave.
-
Id ask xeno what its favorite colour is.
-
I can see the endurance being cut in half once the gens are powered, as the killer now has no options besides ensuring kills by any means including camping or going after whoever is on deathhook. But not having endurance is like "well u just happened to be the survivor closest to the killer once the last gen popped so you die. better luck with the next 15 minute round." As you wouldn't have a chance to do anything either.

He didnt even escape due to Blood Warden
Then blame leon lol
-
I often have to die so my duo can escape lol i think its just your friend taking it too seriously.
The game can turn around in the blink of an eye over 1 perk or offering etc. I was just playing a round as chucky and managed to kill 3 and the 4th jumped off the hook, ran straight into the shackand dropped the pallet, and i had half a second to remember the hatch is about to spawn which i backed away from the pallet and went to the hatch side for them so somehow beat me to it by a hair. (As they brought the offering for it to be there)
-
Ironically i have both skull merchant and ghoul to 100 but play skull merchant allot more due to the popularity of the ghoul, how much the survivors hate seeing them, how much easier it feels to win with them etc. Otherwise im a huge fan of Rize from the anime and would probably play them exclusively if it wasnt for all the above. skull merchant i play with stealth builds. Xeno/dracula are my primary mains.
I tend to see 90% of ghouls using builds based off friends till the end and obsession perks. So i try to do the opposite. I don't have a specific build in mind but i either focus on anti healing (since they injure so easily) or basic m1 looping stuff since they excell alredy at finding, catching up to and injuring people, then its a battle of basic m1 looping skills unless they run out into the open again.
-
I find the milestones never feel like they are worth doing. Like i can finnish an entire rift, nearly 2 months in advance, by just logging in and doing dailies, and the new quest pages that pop up. The milestones don't give you any incentive to keep playing, as their rewards are less than what you would earn in a single round.
So far i find the dailies to be an improvement - quick things that can be done in a single round so you don't have to stay on long.
The quests just seem to increase the pace of the game making generators faster and teams more efficient. While the quests are also being done too fast. As the tomes could atleast give you stuff to do for hours.
The milestones meant to be longterm goals to keep playing for, have 0 incentive to finnish them and take extremely long.
-
A liquid blob killer that can camoflauge against walls and floors and take the form of chests, hex totems and items. has a midrange tentacle attack that pulls in survivors.
-
I would say if you want to try killer, don't worry about winning for a while, just get used to how the killer plays and you will eventually start to catch people.
If you prefer to play as the survivor, dont worry about dieing. It happens most of the time for everyone, its more of a team goal to "try" to escape and if the killer wants to win hard enough there isnt much you can do besides do your part.
-
I get what you are trying to convey. Like if you played survivor today youd jump on a generator and it feels like it takes forever and a day to complete. So much stuff will happen while you are on that generator. Yet in another round youll start the match, be found first, start looping and see 2-3 generators finnish and by the time you go down theres alredy the next generator at 1/3rd done. And you wonder how the killers going to hook everyone 3 times each with only this much time left.
Yet other rounds where the killer brings slowdowns and catches someone quickly it starts a chain reaction of dispair where you can barely finnish the first generator before everyone is on deathhook.
Its gotten to a point where slowdown perks feel as necessary to some killers as antitunnel builds. Rather than just a game where you can bring whatever you want and still get results.
Like i can still play trapless/perkless trapper and still win, but i notice its mostly because of soloque errors. A swf would wipe the floor with me if they realised i wasnt using my power all game lol.
But aside from that what is the proposed solution? As gen speeds / tunneling has been dbds biggest balancing mystery since the beginning.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/457-reddit-ama-july-3-2024
Q: Are there any plans to expand the features of Legendary Characters? For example, giving them their own menu portraits when selected, bloody prestige cosmetics, etc?
A: Yes, we have been considering a system for Legendary Outfits that would allow them to have their own outfits, and other visibility options, like a character in the selection menu. We have a bunch of Legendary Outfits that we'd love to get different variations for too!
And later re-stated they are looking into extra cosmetics:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/515-reddit-ama-july-23-2025
Q: Are there still plans to have legendary outfits include more than just the cosmetic (ie. lobby portait change, bloody/extra cosmetics) and when might we expect to see them?A: Yes! Currently all new legendary or higher rarity outfits will have a Badge of outfit given alongside the purchase. We are also working to add those to our older legendary outfits as well, but that is going to be done in batches over a longer timeline.
Beyond that, we have a few proposals (such as new outfits for legendary characters) in the works but nothing officially in production yet.

And that was almost a year ago. So who knows if they got some kind of update for these in the new year roadmap during the anniversary reveals
-
Its either yes or that teaser was a lot of ragebait
-
Maybe they could get some of the artists from the cosmetic contests to make images for shirts/coats/sweaters etc.
-
They have the nic cage license. Not the marvel license

Wesker
During his PTB i was quite excited to play as Rebecca as it was the first time i was interested in a new survivor coming and maining them. But my time trying out rebecca in the ptb resulted in constant tunneling straight off the hook, and when bringing it up, id be attacked by the rest of the people in the ptb as if tunneling that much was normal for just trying out a new killer.
Once he launched the hard tunneling continued, every single time ive seen him to a point where theres a 90% chance wesker is going to tunnel you off the hook. So i attributed him as one of the biggest tunnelers in the game making it miserable just to see a spray in the box at the start.
Ontop of the tunneling, the way his power is designed, makes many situations where you know he couldve jist hit you with the m1 knife but goes out of his way to take an extra few seconds to hit you with the dash anyway and infect you. Which makes it feel more personal than just trying to knock you down in chase.
So most of the rounds against him always feel like a personal battle to avoid getting tunneled. Atleast thats my experience with him.
-
I would say Freddy. To me it still doesn't feel like Freddy is even in the game, just a knockoff. It worked with myers because hes just got a mask, but freddy had personality and a face, that was not brought in. His original power felt pretty cool until everyone figured out how to exploit it and make it weak, then they changed him to something pretty boring.
And i fully agree with you with xenomorph - as a xeno main myself lol shouldve been a stealth killer and had potential for so many things
-
I'd say cindy and brenda as well, just holding onto hope that it could alredy be happening.
But id also go for shaun of the dead, dino crisis, and turok
-
Favorite: Chucky's Iridescent Amulet. Changes him into a killer with extra long stealth rather than relying on dash attacks as often. Which i manage to use quite well.
Rework: Dracula's - Alucard's shield, Ring of Vlad, and Cube of Zoe. All high tier addons that get results less the 5% of the time.
Alucard's shield is so easily avoided and requires perfect timing+positioning+pre injured survivors+survivors with low reaction time, to be able to get even 1 down in an entire round. Its also one of the only addons that survivors actually often say "i love that addon! XD" because its more like a lightshow on the way out. At the very least is could add an exit block of the survivors get hit by the pillars, as they just run/crawl/dodge through them with ease, even if hit, yet you waste an entire addon slot the entire round for this moment.
Ring of Vlad says it curves the hellfire pillars towards survivors, but at such a small % that you won't even notice if it moved. So it actually doesn't do anything at all when its intention is to make it easier to hit survivors with pillars, if you were going to hit them, then you were going to hit them, if u werw going to miss, itd still miss lol. If they want the addon to make it easier to hit with pillars than let it make the pillars wider or something.
Cube of zoe: the amount of times ive tried and seen others try to get even 1 hit of value in an entire round out of the randomized pillars, and fail, is insane. Even if you follow a survivor in batform you will not hit anything 95% of the time. If they want to keep the randomised pillar effects and increase its chances of hitting people. Make the pillars spawn around ALL generators across the map for that short duration each time a gen gets finnished.
Underrated addon : springtrap's - restaurant menu. A cooldown addon i've never felt the need to take off since his chapter released.
Favorite combo: skull merchant - addaptive lighting + brown noise generator.
-
The usual picks would be carnage or venom or thanos. But ill be the oddball and say
The Lizard
Or Sabertooth

I see the point you are trying to make, but perks can be shared between characters, and they do not always design a character’s perks to support that killer’s power. Look at Jason: none of his perks directly support or help his power.
I understand that they try to make perks as generic as possible so that many killers can use them. However, when they make a strong perk, or one that becomes problematic, they often nerf it very quickly and then never look at it again.
As for survivor perks, they usually fall into a few categories. Some exist to “fix” certain problems while also giving extra benefits. Some are clearly meant to pair with and support other perks in order to work better. Others are just gimmick perks that can be fun.
That is a big issue. Survivor perks can often work very well on their own and produce good results. If you combine them with other perks that support them, they can change the game dramatically.
On the other hand, killers need perks that either support their power or their playstyle. But because many killer perks have so many restrictions and limitations, the pool of useful options they can choose from becomes very small.
Yea thats kinda what i was getting at, the killers are strong so they are given weaker perks that wont support their power, but end up not supporting barely anyone's powers either.
But i am a fan of stealth perks so i might get some use of that new one jasons got for stealth at the start and end of the round.
-
Ive kinda been asking the same thing as to how they come up with new pokemon these days.
But on a more serious note my guess is the killers that come out recently are strong. Almost A-S tier, so they probably feel the new stronger killer needs weaker perks while the new survivors need stronger perks to compensate. But fail to look at the whole picture of the perks being used by every killer, and the strong survivor perks being used by all swf teams.
-
Anticamp currently does pause if there is another survivor near the hooked survivor, even if they are downed.
-
When they said they were removing balance updates when it comes to chapters, i think they intend to do it in between chapters more frequently maybe? I doubt the intention was to never do anymore balance updates. Just not during chapter releases so they can focus more on the bugs and balancing each new chapter brings, while balancing and fixing the rest of the game on the side. Not disagreeing with the post just wondering if they will clarify when they intend to do balance changes/updates.
-
Ayyy the blob, pumpkinhead, and the leprechaun made it in the top 30, nice
-
You aren't alone. The entire community as a whole feels the same way about the ghoul. Hell i even have them at p100 and refuse to play them until something changes to make them more enjoyable to play against, as im not kidding 50% chance the whole lobby starts dcing, standing at hooks, or staring at me like i kicked their dog the second they see me. So im waiting for a rework or something..
As for why i have them at p100, big fan of Rize from the anime, not really interested in kaneki himself lol
To me his most problematic thing is his cooldown. Like they never have to conserve their power, it is always available extremely fast, unlike legion who waits till they see someone first, rather than using it for mobility to get to a chase, then immediately in a chase lol
-
Muv luv: alternative, mech suits. They come in lots of colours too. As for it not being horror it is an appocolyptic story of humans fighting giant aliens that rip them out of their mechs and eat them alive.

It seems like what they thought "dance with me" and thalitas vault perk were going to feel like. Only they didnt end up that great.
Being able to turn your aura and scratch marks off mid chase in walled loops without having to vault is Going to be a pain to deal with at nearly every main building.

The thing / Critters / pumpkin head / screamers / the blob / and X files. id be excited to see any of these.
-
Loneliness: when 10 meters from any survivor, your conspicuous actions are 8%faster
Worthless: when opening chests, items will always be lowest quality, but you can rummage 8 times.
Unworthy: once the exit gates are powered, you gain 3 permanent stacks of endurance, but you cannot leave the trial by exit gate nor hatch.
