Will i get a temporary ban for not killing survivors?

As title suggests, i'm trying to do the achievements like Jump Scares which requires 100 surprise hits or deathslinger 30 downs with gun, is it bannable if im sparing survivors so i can get more hits in? im not targetting anyone or singling anyone out. Thanks

  • Nope. Just dont stand still at the start from match or it can flag you afk.

Like for the huntress long range hits achievement i just stood on the 2nd level of red forest main building chucking hatchets until everyone started lining up for long range dodgeball

  • Would be hilarious if you got punished for being unable to kill the opposing team.

Careful they just might do it. For all there questionable game design choices

  • Okay thanks all, just some of these achievements im naturally gonna need survivors help with and dont want a ban for it!

I mean, you can get punished if you're rehooked too fast after being unhooked, even by killers that chew through endurance without breaking stride or anything trap related. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if BHVR attempted to clamp down on AFK Doctors and their implementation was just "if you never pick up a survivor, you're flagged as a bot and temp banned."

  • If there ever came a day when they fixed all the cheating, AFK players, DCs, etc., and they didn't have anything better to look at than you… then they'd probably just fire the review team to cut costs. ;)

You're fine. I enjoy a "goof off" game occasionally and no one has ever complained.

I mean, if you come across a hacker that hooks everyone instantly, face a basement Bubba or just have trolling teammates that unhook in the Killer's face and you get re-hooked on the spot, you can get an actual temp ban from the game for "suspicious behavior".

So technically, yeah, it won't be for farming/being friendly, but BHVR implemented an actual automated system to punish victims of hackers or just unlucky people.

We were lucky enough that BHVR didn't implement a system that would ban Killers for not killing the Survivors, which would remove any kind of casual play and take away both teams memeing/farming together. So you're safe.

  • if you could get banned for this i would be absolutely decimated from this planet

  • Yeah it's all fine. I let players go on the regular, to the point that sometimes the players I do kill have crashouts that I let other people go, and threaten to report me for teaming or what have you. Never got banned for it.

  • Yes, BHVR bans killers that can't kill.
