It shows you where they are if they are on/near an active portal regardless of health state.
So basically make a portal and use of the abyss randomly? lol

I think if he were able to destroy his portals (standing over them, of course), he'd be in a better position. His addons need work as well. Maybe if one could alert him when a portal is being worked on, instead of broken. Another could turn off that global sound notification when he uses said portals.
Not to mention how lackluster his own perks are.

I don’t think he’s bad at all. His lunge is pretty helpful and killer instinct actually works better than I thought. Using Of the Abyss is how I locate a lot of blendettes actually.
I like the sounds, i don't think they should remove any sounds. I also wonder about Of The Abyss because does it show you where people are if they are healthy? or only injured? The Lackluster is definitely there, everything he does just requires so much time wasting lol

All he needs is the ability to dismantle his own portals. Then he's fine.
what would that even do for him?

That's another thing too, i got all it's perks to rank 3 and idk i can't find a use for them unless it's at hawkins. boo

Killer is 100% playable without Ruin. Ruin just makes it a lot easier.
If you can't win without Ruin... sorry but "Git Gud."
I have never played a killer match with Ruin. Didn't even have it unlocked until like a month ago. I still almost always get from 2-4 kills, unless I'm just letting them go (which I also do depends on my mood -- ironically sometimes I let survivors go and they still die because no one saves them or they DC).
If you are having trouble without Ruin build for the endgame instead. For example, you can try a gen defense strategy. 3-Gen works well in lower ranks for instance and survivors tend to crumble and don't know how to win when you do this. You can also bring the NoEd or Remember Me, gets them a lot.
"sorry but get good" sorry "professional" FeNg, but i disagree, once you hit non noob survivors it's gen rush city and not fun
-
@ApeOfMazor said:
There really is no winning without it unless the survivors are wasting time. You find 1 guy on a gen and hit him once if you are lucky. Now to actually down him you'll be forced to chase him through 8+ pallets while the others are popping gens.
If you give up the chase to pressure gens then the cycle just repeats. You hit someone once and then have to chase them. Meanwhile 1st guy is off hook and healed if you were even fortunate enough to catch him.
How do you win as a killer against smart survivors? It really seems you can't unless they make a series of mistakes that let you win.
I agree that there needs to be something other than RUIN which can be turned off without any real threat to slow down the game.

Look, here's the thing. I really WANT Dorgan to be more viable. I really do. Because I love him, he's my favorite killer in the game. But Hag just has tools and resources that Dorgan just... doesn't. She can put SO much pressure on one part of the map, and she can play the game so that the map feels really small, to the point where everything important is in such a small space that she can capitalize on it.
Don't get me wrong. Dorgan is good. He has good tracking, good overall map pressure, ok chase options, etc.. But Hag's centralized playstyle puts her over Dorgan.
A killer that is decent at multiple things still isn't as good as a killer that is REALLY good at one thing, especially when that one thing is lethality. It's the reason Doctor falls short. He has some ok tools at his disposal for pretty much anything, but it doesn't add up to anything important.
thanks for the vote!

Demogorgon is kinda meh, not really as Effective as Hag in high ranks.
Exactly, some say they are not compare able but how? They almost do the same thing, let's be real. His lunge isn't that great

@Raven014 said:
Hag is technically stronger than Demo, but I think Demo's more fun to play. Hag can make a survivor regret playing with proper trap placement, while Demo can be a coin flip whether it's an easy win or a terrifying experience.
"terrifying experience" Demo needs more than just that,

I don't see any real tangible benefits of either aspect of this perk. I am sure someone will tell me I am shortsighted and explain why it's great. That would be fine as I would really like to know.
The first part of the perk is I can see my scratch marks when I run. I mean no other survivor can see their own scratch marks. That makes it a unique perk. At the same time seeing my own scratch marks provides no useful benefit that I can determine.
The second part of the perk is that I can WALK anywhere from 10 to 20% faster. I can see minimal benefits to this. I understand running 10 to 20% faster would be a game changer and perhaps even reach the point of being an unfair advantage to survivors. However, any advantage walking faster gives a survivor seems to be so insignificant as to be practically useless compared to nearly any other perk in the game.
Having said all that.... is there a way to use this perk that actually makes it beneficial?
It's super good to juke around corners for me, also to see when my scratch marks dissapear

@Plu said:
@SasukeKun no you are wrong, they arent comparable, one relies heavily on its traps to down players and the other only has portals to move around the map quickly but is mostly is a M1 killer with a pouncing power.
They are nothing alike and play very differently.

Not everyone has an item or takes that perk
-
@Plu said:
You can't compare Demo and Hag, they don't even do the same thing, gameplay wise.
As for who is the most viable of the two, it's definitely Demo because of how good shred is once you learn to use it, it can punish any small mistake a surv makes at a loop.
Hag is good but her traps are easily counterable if all 4 survs have any braincells and disable them / force her out of her comfort zone.
The only time Hag would be better would be on godawful maps where the demo struggle to use Shred, and even then it's a stretch imo.
They are comparable, I've compared differences and they aren't too far out from "different"

After the PTB, the devs decided to change the Demogorgons ultra rare add on red moss that would allow shred to destroy any dropped pallets and add that to the Demogorgons base kit. If you all decided to do that, then why have you not changed Amanda's utra rare add on Rules Set No. 2 that makes survivors unable to see jigsaw boxes until the timer is activated part of her base kit? Survivors can still find the boxes by running around the map. They are not really hidden, they make noise, and have a billy on each one.
Bump, it's the dumbest addition to watch survivors run OUT of the trial with a bear trap on their head. Shin kick to Amanda

No seriously. Why even bother?
Hooks spawn 5 meters away from each other. 30% of killers run Iron Grasp for some reason. Body blocking is pointless since Mad Grit exists.
Honestly, just remove the wiggle mechanic already. It's worthless.
Something def needs addressing because i think that perks like Boil Over don't help that you almost never wiggle out on normal circumstances, makes little sense to me

You can destroy he web just by runing through suspicious places and activate all her traps. She's either reset them and waste a lot of time, or be a 4.4 m/s M1 killer with no power other than forcing players away from loops quickly.
Yeah but it's a danger to set off her traps, she has a pretty long lunge, Demo's portals don't have much threat unless you hardcore camp them somehow ontop of keeping pressure on gens
-
@OMagic_ManO said:
Hag's traps are counterable, has limited ranger, unlike Demo, he also gets a chase benefiting mechanic, Shred, he does get limited portals but he can warp as far as he wants and has no tr or stain after a while.
I'd argue that compared to Hag, Demo's portals can be cleansed way faster, shows you where they are, Meanwhile with Hag if they are forced to run, they HAVE to step in your trap, way faster teleports they also need an item to get rid of them and they are harder to spot on most maps. Making her a better pick

That's another point worth talking about i agree

@TKTK said:
I really hate Demogorgon being so loud, he's not nearly as dangerous as other killers but stomps around gurgling about telling survivors pretty much where he is behind a loop wall while also messing with the killer pov hearing as well and is very dependant on if the survivors make a mistake or know where a pallet is.
His portal teleport is way to slow imo, he doesn't one shot and any survivor can cleanse them without any items and he can't move his camera around while traveling through his tunnels.
Over all i think he's a amalgamation of some of the other killers attributes but does all of them worse than they do.
I think he needs more to set him apart from the rest. I think his teleports need more, his gen pressure is really lacking and his chase is weak with his lunge being to restrictive and situational.
Like i said from the beginning, this feels similar to when Freddy came out

Top tier is kinda crowded with Nurse, Spirit, Hag, and Billy.
Demo is REALLY good...just don’t think he is as great as those four. If somebody puts him over Billy I wouldn’t argue it but Hag is a REACH.

Uh... No. I mean it when I say it's really that ######### easy. Maybe you need more time on Demogorgon???? It's really not rocket science. You're literally the only person I've seen try to argue that Demo isn't strong at the shack.
because it isn't the demo sucks imo rn

It takes 1 second to charge lunge. Pre-charge it as you're rounding into the entrance. The survivor either has to take the window (free hit), throw down the pallet (free shack pallet, even better), or try to juke around expecting you to prematurely lunge (allowing you to close the distance, also a free hit).
It's really not difficult and the bread-and-butter example of Demo quickly ending loops.
In theory maybe not as much as you'd think bud

@FiftyCalReaper said:

Not true. He completely destroys killer shack even against experienced survivors. The only thing is YOU have to be an experience Demo to do it correctly.
If you're any good survivor, it's easy to loop shack, it takes time to charge the lunge
-
@Mister_xD said:
honestly, the lunge makes him a super unique, fun and honestly pretty good killer.
your ability to cut loops with this is just amazing!
Cutt loops??? yeah if they new to the game lol

@FiftyCalReaper said:
Yeah Demo is a lot better than people think, they just are super impatient and aren't willing to learn.
"I played 20 whole matches with Demo and I'm not absolutely stomping, so therefore he sucks." Like how many games do you think you'd have to play with Huntress before you got really good with her? Quite a lot. So why not apply that logic to other killers?
Also, you can't play Demo like a basic chase killer. He's not just a skin. Most people hardly use his portals or don't know how to use them effectively and aren't willing to experiment or figure it out. I saw a Youtuber play Demo for literally like 5 games and already concluded "Yeah his portals suck." As another member posted up above, you literally just put them at gens and use Killer Instinct and you're able to track people extremely well.
Pro tip on his lunge. Act like you're gonna do it, and watch a survivor start to zig zag trying to dodge it, and then essentially this allows you to catch up, and it gives you a free M1. His lunge can score hits, but it can also mind game.
Yeah but the recovery is ridiculous, Don't get me wrong it's fun but it could be better like freddy was improved

I’m Currently having a issue with the new system, Every time I try to play with my friend we find a game it works fine after that however the lobby glitches out and doesn’t let us join the same game together or will get a issue saying we can’t connect to the lobby , or the lobby glitches out so that’s we can’t leave cuz the find a match lobby freezes and so we have to restart the game , or every time we finish a match the game disconnects us from the killer after the game is done even though the killer didn’t dc, and if we get that issue we can’t join a game together, and we didn’t have this issue before, only after the new stranger things patch , anyone have these issues ?
Every time i spectate or something it bugs out the party re-que, I just decided to not spectate and usually the party stays together. I've also noticed the lobby bugs out after a while and says "unknown error has occurred"

I'm going to sound a bit rude but I truly don't mean anything hostile here, it's probably a big combination of things. Rank, money, playtime, saving up to just max prestige and many other factors. It also doesn't help that the Demogorgon has a decently high skill cap to it that most general players will see that and just say "nope, not for me" and that's completely fine, it's their choice. That's why whenever I play against a Demogorgon, they already REALLY know what they're doing, rank 5 to be fair.
The buff he got i thought would bring more people in, he needed that

It depends to me a little.
Are they playing strong killers like nurse, spirit, billy etc? Yeah I'd be a little salty and I think it's a crutch for them being bad.
Are they playing any of the vast list of weak M1 killers? That's much more reasonable. They're weak enough you can't really complain as those killers don't really have much choice.
That said, I still don't use NOED though because I personally think it's too much of a crutch for kills I didn't earn.

Ok, so why bring it in the first place if that's the case? If you gain nothing from it, why was this post made?
The post was to argue about removing the secret offering warning right? Why would they remove that offering? so people can have fun finding out if their game will end instantly or not... That's not really fun don't you think?
The mori is broken, no matter what. If you get gen rushed because you have a mori, that's because the Survivors are trying their hardest to not have the game abruptly end because of a broken offering.
It goes without saying since this post started that we've discussed so far that it seems that more than just it being a "secret" is an issue
-
@FireHazard said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/710292#Comment_710292
You'll still know its a mori because of the secret offering... Who uses the cloak? If you have a secret offering on the board, its 95% a mori, and 5% the cloak to either troll or something.
The offering is unbalanced regardless of what you do with it tbh. If mori's should be in the game for some reason, they should just remove the Ebony Mori and keep the other two, at least 3 people won't be instantly killed and only 1 will.
It's not unbalanced because there's players who can outsmart and gen rush, and voice chat their way to victory without getting hooked once. You need to get caught to be killed
-

I'm really getting tired of the same omega blink ebony mori nurse that you have to endure as survivor because the killer knows what's coming. It would be nice if they didn't and I can not have my chances cut in half because they get a warning.
Okay but for all other killers it's a punishment to bring mori both sides lose cuz emblems and it's stupid
