The Matchmaking has always had its issues.

I remember the days with the pallet vacuum, broken exhaustion... I miss those days. (Not really lol)

Sorry you faced those tryhards back then it must've sucked.

  • It's a BT bug I think. If you down the saver, it'll not activate.

No, almost nobody likes the proposed changes.

How would you make him strong then? He shouldn't need mix tape to be viable. Every killer should be useable man...

I dont think many people would argue against that. He should for sure be made viable and useable without addons as all killers should be. The problem with Legion is his power at its very core is the worst of both worlds. He is extremely unfair and has almost zero counterplay as survivor yet as killer he is trash tier and worse than freddy at securing kills. I agree when people say he needs to be reworked. He needs to be both fair and strong and right now he is neither. I dont have a solution but we cant simply buff and nerf our way out of this. He needs a fundamental rework. Legion is just poorly designed mechanically.

So you're saying we either get this buff or we wait a year or more for a rework...

This is Freddy all over again this buff HAS to go through then rework in a year. Don't let him be useless for a year.

No, not when you can insta down with ultra fast pallet and window jumps there's no counter.

There doesn't need to be a counter. What is Nurses counter?

We could finally have a second S tier killer. Survivors have always been strong why can't killers?

You mindgame nurse, double backs and running straight line around a corner to confuse her, after the stun (she looks at the ground) you can use it lose her. Also, playing nurse requires a lot of skill and practise, while Legion not.

Yeah i don't see the issue with an S tier killer that is easy to use. This isn't an esports game. A killer that you can pick up and just stab things with not have to think and do well sounds good to me.

Killer is stressful we need an easy fun one not told to go play civ and deal with weak killers.

Same, why do they feel they have to dictate what's skillful or not when they important thing is to have fun. Not every killer should need thousands of hours to be very good. That's part of legions charm to me, he breaks down so many "rules" and expectations survivors have for a killer.

He is honestly needed to shake things up in this game right now tbh.

Yes its fun for you as the killer maybe. Mindless fun though is the problem. Mindless fun is fine against AI. When there is other people playing on the other side of the mindless fun that is where the issue comes in.

But aren't you the survivor, shouldn't you feel stressed trying to live? If it's not Nurse, Billy, Spirit, Hag or Huntress you all are the predator in this game (You as in reference to survivors) not the "killer".

Myers, Clown, Pig (with her buffs) and Wraith. Thank me later. They are predators too and can 4 man well.

I didn’t think it was possible for Dead by Daylight to provide a more unfun killer to play against than the Nurse.

Then they released the Legion, who many agree has zero counterplay.  They actually made a killer more unfun to play against.  Then they made Legion even more unfun to play against.

I love with this “buff” they’re basically ramming Self Care down my throat.  If you don’t heal yourself, it’s essentially a 100% chance you’re going down.

Miss a swing?  Take 4 more.  Want to respect every single pallet and not learn a mind game?  Just hop over the pallets.  Want to provide the most unfun gameplay Survivors have seen?  Play Legion.

I didn’t think it possible, but I was proven wrong.  I don’t think the developers actually play their own game.

I would rather play against Nurse every single game for the rest of my DBD life than this trash.  It’s bad, and legions mechanics spoon feed bad players.  It’s a sad day.

Nurse is fun to play against. It's Freddy who is annoying.

  • @No_Mither_No_Problem said:
Why is Legion not in all five of those top tier spots

He can breathe heavier than Myers and that automatically makes him OP

Lol. But nah. Myers is top tier not for his unique breathing but for his mindgames, map pressure and his unpredictability. I'm going to add a bit about his red glow because everyone seems to disagree with me.

  • @DwightsLifeMatters said:
Honestly, I like your tier list! Finally someone who sees doc as trash killer like I do. I personally would put Leatherface over doc just because he can one hit down and break pallets very fast, but that's just personal preference I guess.

Also, you nailed it why the top tier killers are top tier: map pressure aka high mobility/overall presence. Exactly why killers with just 110% can get F'd really hard.

I think we should play and chat together some time, usually I enjoy playing with people who have quite similar tier lists like mine

We should totally. If you play on Xbox or PC, I'm down. Although if Xbox, my gold has ran out and I need to get it at some point.

  • @Gardenia said:
Why are you blaspheming legion, they are too low on the darn list lol

I might rename 'Freddy tier' to 'Rework tier' to avoid confusing people.

I meant for that tier to be for the killers who need reworks. Obviously Legion is mid tier but he gets the 'Freddy tier' treatment because he needs a rework rather than buffs.

    Hope ya understand.

Why don't you just run Agitation.

Also what do people mean by 'dead zones'?

Because there's only 4 slots, and i prefer that no Perk is required to counter mechanic flaws.
You read the discussion, you know what deadzone means.

I don't. The zone where Nurse can't blink comes to mind. Also you got a point with the flaw in the mechanic.

My apologies then, i assumed you knew since you recommended Agitation.

My deadzone term refers to where a part of the map doesn't have hooks nearby (anymore) to hook a Survivor who's dying over there.

While certain maps currently certainly have either a lot of hooks or weird zones where there's 2 next to eachother, with the video and explanation they showed, i fear such zones will be much easier to create.

And while the Killer creating those zones by themself isn't such a big deal, my fear is that it'll be abused by Survivors greatly, which wouldn't be new.
Not to mention the boring-as-hell bleedout wait times, because both sides can't do anything anymore.

For example, you've sacrificed one in the corner of the map and another on the closest one after that, because all other hooks are too far away.
Now those hooks are gone and becomes a deadzone.
Strategic play won't come into play when Survivors start learning to check hook placements and learn of potential deadzones on each map.
Y'know: "Ahh, the Killer sacrificed over there. If others go over there too, it'll be a deadzone in no time."
Or the one being chased: "I got no more tricks, might as well run over here and create a deadzone for my friends."
While this was a strategy before, mmany if not all never did it cause it would cost too many sacrifices and usually resulted in enough hooks being nearby anyway.
But this fair distribution coming up seems, to me, that it'll encourage B-lining it to edges and/or corners of the map and take over that part of the map after a sacrifice.

Running Agitation, IF this is the case (I really hope not), to counter a deadzone, would fix a flaw, not a challenge.

Oh. That's a messed up mechanic that's broken as hell. It needs to be fixed but without hurting Sabo too much.

Nope he'd be top of mid tier but I wanted to give him a better rating. Myers is an extremely strong killer if played correctly. I considered putting him in mid tier but he certainly has top tier.

Doc is unreliable and against a simple loop, he's quite powerless. He can just delay the game. He's really weak compared to Myers.

Myers really only has to deal with 1 or 2 loops before he instadowns but Doc gets looped so hard and most the time, nobody even drops a pallet against him.

I mean I can't question your opinion but doc is way better against loops than Myers.

Myers is a terrible killer if the survivors are good since he literally has 0 tools against loops. Sure he has 1 down and he can slug but against experienced survivors, he will be bullied hard.

I would still place him above doc but he is no way a top tier killer. Your huntress placement is, imo, very wrong too. She should have been a top tier killer.

No not really. In my opinion, she's not top tier. Neither is Myers but he's so successful with his snowball power that I gave him top tier. I think he's much stronger than Huntress though. Billy is loopable and he maintains 2nd best killer because of his ability to recover from mistakes. I consider Mike to be similar with his snowball power because he is able to turn a game around quickly.

About his mindgames though... I've heard/witnessed that his red stain is dimmer then most killers. Because the killers stain is linked to their heartbeat which is why Billy has a much brighter one then Hag. Making him an extremely effective mindgamer.

  • This post should be in off topic...

  • @PolarBear said:
Huntress is top tier imo. You can stop some loops with hatchets and even stop people working on gens if there is line of sight to throw hatchets.

But at the same time... You can get looped way too much for her to be top tier. I think she's amazing but a smart survivor does well against a Huntress. I'm a potato but back when I was good at survivor, I could get a ton of loops in against her. It's all about baiting her windup.

  • @SnakeSound222 said:
I think Doctor is mid tier because of the stun from his shock. Yeah, it won’t work all the time, but when it does (and it can at quite a bit of pallets and windows), it’s pretty good. It works much better after the pallet has been dropped because the Survivor will have a harder time getting away (they can’t vault over anything and you’re going to be running towards them, so the Survivor has to either try to stay away from you while the stun is active or just take the hit). All he needs is just some buffs to his base shock and a small illusion buff and he’ll make it into the bottom of top tier.

Myers is way too high. Without add-ons, the best things he has are an instadown and small terror radius. The instadown can be countered by looping and hiding from him and his terror radius can be countered by looking around. It’s also really easy to deny him of evil by just standing behind an object. I would put him in the middle of mid tier.

Nope he'd be top of mid tier but I wanted to give him a better rating. Myers is an extremely strong killer if played correctly. I considered putting him in mid tier but he certainly has top tier.

I know right?! Ridiculous, it's almost like that's the entire point of his ability. They should also make hillbilly's chainsaw require two hits to down and remove nurse's ability to blink through walls they're at it.

They should also give clown only one bottle because 4 is broken and make it so that the bottle slows down the survivor by 0.00000000000001%.

I have similar experiences when camping. NOED pops, 4 survivors remain, I hook 1 with insta-down,, I camp, 3 flock to the hook like moths to a flame, I insta down one, the other two keep trying to pull me off hook...I insta down the 3rd and chase the 4th until I down him/her. Then I get "called out" for camping lol.

I love it when survivors get outplayed and they turn a 4scape into a 4k.

Who tf camps when using NOED. Just use Bloodwarden with NOED and you can turn it into a proper 4k.

Camping is OK after gates are open but camping with NOED means 1 of 2 things:

    1) You're super salty that they ran you.

    2) You must be really desperate for that kill.

But yeah I'd recommend running BW if u run NOED. Remember me is a good option too.

I camp with NOED if I have 0 kills. It's not not my initial strategy but Sometimes it works great (clearly).

And whatever combination of perks I used was clearly the right combination....because I 4k'd.

It only works against bad survivors though. Good ones will cleanse the totem, rush the hook (getting the one hit and exit.

Yeah I don't know how potato that team was to rush a hook with NOED. Lol.

Bad. Very bad. But sometimes it's worth doing (as killer) for.just that scenario. Easy 4scape, turned into 4k, then they call me the "bad killer".

And they are right...I made it to end game with 0ks. That's bad.

They turned it into a 4k.
    That's worse lol!

True but quick question: Does NOED get you extra kills in EVERY game or do most of yours end with you winning?

I personally end up winning before gates are powered which is why I don't like NOED. But I'm curious if it actually helps some players because my idea of it is, is that it doesn't help a killer improve at all since they use it as a crutch but can you tell me what it does for you and if you feel like you can do well without it.

Sorry, to clarify: I run NOED on only a few killers. It's really risky and most killers have other perks that are better used (or so I think). When I do run it, by the time it pops, I have either done a bad job (4 survs left, in which case they are usually pretty good...I can maybe get a hit in before they cleanse it or escape...this would be an example of it being a crutch. If I am using it as a crutch, I am using it wrong) or if I am doing decent, there might be two left, in which case it helps me slug one, chase the last (though sometimes he/she will cleanse it before I find him/her) and sometimes it gets me another kill or two.

It is very rare when I run against good survivors that I get more than 1 hit after it pops. I run it almost always on Doc and I play a 3 gen, prolong the game strategy, so I am usually down to 2 survivors by the time NOED pops, I get the 3rd down and can usually easily find the 4th through madness. It just makes for a VERY long game, but consistent 3-4 k's if the survivors aren't paying attention to gen placement. If they do, then I am just screwed lol.

Bottom line is I take it anticipating a quick cleanse but to get me that first hit in once exit gates pop. On doc it just works so great because he has great tracking, but his shock and chase are not that great. That one hit with only 2 survs left makes a huge difference (but you really have to whittle them down to 2).

And sometimes I take it on Myers just to camp at end game and be a dick (nobody thinks you have it, and you surprise 1 shot them in EWII when they rush the hook...lol). In that scenario, they inevitably get the last laugh because if there are that many survivors left at end game, I have already lost...I'll maybe get 1k, but the post game salt is worth it...and there is always a chance for the scenario in my original post lol.

I am still pretty bad at nurse, so I will take it on her, and sometimes it gets me a down. But again, I am using it as a crutch on her because I almost always get to exit gates with her, it's nice to get a down in there. But then it's usually cleansed.

I have taken it on Billy because he is good without any perks and if I get to end game, they are probably good survivors (at least better than me on Billy) so they probably assume I am not running NOED (who would, right?), so you can M1 and down them, sometimes get 1 or two, just because they assume you aren't running it and will sacrifice a first hit for each other. It's fun, but hit or miss.

LF, spirit, Freddy, I don't take it on. I sometimes will even take Franklin's over NOED because I get more use out of it, especially if there is a Jeff and several toolboxes in a group. Without Franklin's, there's no hooks left against those guys lol!

I see. Ok I've always been wondering about how people use it. Some advice for Nurse would be to try to memorise the survivors movespeed (playing survivor a lot reallys helps with this I mean it helped me get her down in 2 games), learn to predict your survivors, try to learn your accurate blinking distance and learn when you can lunge. Watch @Ardetha's guide for some help on Nurse. Trust me she's extremely strong. If you try learning those 4, you'll be able to play her like she's a piece of cake. I got her down in 2 games. Gl learning her <3

Yup ;) because killers don't matter. (Sarcasm)

Seriously though, the devs have been buffing killers for a while. If they didn't care about the killer side and preferred the survivor side more, they'd have kept the pallet vacuum, double exhaustion and they wouldn't have buffed Spirit so much. Hag would be trash tier herself and Wraith would be 2nd worst rather then right after Clown.

Both of them would have viable bases.

I wouldn’t say the Amulet for Spirit’s base kit, however I would say the “Father’s Glasses” add on would be a nice touch. I believe that she should be able to see blood while phase walking.

I mean if they got rid of the bloodhount bit of it and made it so that the blood is normal looking but when using bloodhound, it's bright af then I'd be down for that.

Making adrenaline baseline without a way for killer to counter wouldn't be good for balance at all.

Yup you want to make it's counterpart baseline but you want to leave Adrenaline as a perk? Well how about this, a base NOED would require a base Adrenaline otherwise THAT'S not good for balance. Honestly, I'd scrap the idea and leave NOED and Adrenaline as they are. Sorry dude but there's no chance that could happen without making Adrenaline baseline. Even though you'd give NOED a way to shut it down, it'd still be overpowered or really weak because whatever you link it to, would be ignored by rank 20's or it would be destroyed by rank 1's.

I am a survivor main, that's the "I am".. I even edited it to clarify before your response.

And DS would be more a counter to NOED, which I already agreed could make for an interesting objective as well. Adrenaline's speed boost won't really save you and it healing you doesn'thelp against being exposed at all.

Again, it's there moreso to add time to the game, not actually come into effect.

Yes you did my bad. I didn't bother refreshing the page.

But let me explain why I think Adrenaline is a counterpart to NOED since I don't think you get it. As @Tsulan explained to me, Adrenaline doubles the hits you need to be downed and NOED halves it.

Also the adding time thing is cool and all but seriously not a built in NOED the rank 20's will have absolutely no chance.

Rank 20's could easily learn the new objectives. But it's just an idea, not gospel to me. Although I feel DS is still more of a counter to noed as DS guarentees you'll get away if you held onto it. Adrenaline's health boost does nothing to stop noed.

No. Rank 20's are new to the game and need a lot of time to improve. You can't seriously want these poor rank 20's to face a built in NOED? They'll uninstall the game instantly. That would kill the game.

The first thing they do is play the tutorial which would explain the mechanic. It would flat out tell them "yo, bro, do this objective for blood-points and to avoid a late game death". It actually helps way more than having a perk kick into effect that they don't even know about.

No. I still think they'd be confused and upset. Also, at rank 20 there is probably no killer that runs NOED because all the new players are there. A built in NOED is just ridiculous. You can't hurt the gameplay the newer players just because you get genrushed a lot.

The devs will fix genrushing. They fixed the pallet vacuums, they fixed the double exhaustion and they fixed the windows (back when it used to always guarantee a fast vault) and they will fix the genrushing. They will fix the Legion. Just wait for a fix to genrushing.

I get that this post was just an idea but I'm trying to point out all the flaws.

Every time I think we're having a good conversation it comes back to you essentially calling me a liar and thinking I'm presenting this idea because I'm a salty killer main who can't git gud.

NOED is definitely a perk that can and does get used in rank 20. It's not like it's a teachable, it's available to all killers.

I didnt mean to call you a liar. I am sorry. I never said your a killer main but it's not used in rank 20 much. My friends play in that rank and they tell me NOED is no issue and why do I always complain about it because It's not used much there.

NOED shouldn't be a built in feature. It shouldn't even be a perk. If the killers want to run it, sacrificing a perk slot is an acceptable way of using it.

  • Honestly, I used knockout, A nurses calling and deerstalker on Spirit. Slugging is a way better way to create pressure than Ruin is and you can waste a ton of the survivors time while slugging :p.

Sorry but I'm not convinced. You're 100% a player who plays more killer then survivor. Otherwise you would not have made this post. You might play survivor a lot but you definitely play killer more.

I like the idea though, just stop saying you're a survivor main when you're asking to make the most overpowered killer perk baseline. And no I didn't say the most overpowered perk because that certainly is DS

Also if you want this built in, then how about we make NOEDs counterpart, Adrenaline baseline.

  • Im glad they're not going to add that ridiculous Legion. I'm now happy they didn't add the SC changes. Honestly, I love the fact that we don't have to heal right now. It's so nice to have the choice to heal or just ignore SC and have intense matches.

Tbh once I get the full build, I might run No mither, Resilience, This is not happening and Sprint burst.

Honestly it's so fun being injured and against killers like Myers, you REALLY feel the pressure.

Yes, build in NOED is a terrible idea.
Game should be easier on low ranks. Not as punishing as it is now.
There should be special noob ranks where people can't pip up unless they decide to leave those noob ranks permanently.

It's nice to see, when someone shares your opinion. :)

Yup :). The lower ranks have so much difficulties right now it sickens me. When I was new, it was ok at lower ranks, I didn't die every game but I didn't survive every game. If the devs ignore the lower ranks the game could seriously die and quickly as well.

Your comment is amazing. You think using comms is cheating. LOL. Well, according to your logic, which completely ignores the fact that using comms is not against the rules, then surely nodding your head is cheating? Is pointing cheating?

    Tell me.

Can we look at this from a objective standpoint.
Cheating is when you use a non-whitelisted 3rd party program to gain an ingame advantage. This implies that several programs are ok to use, for example the built in playstation voice chat or a similar thing on steam (even though noone uses it). Also Curse is a whitelisted program.
However the usage of discord or teamspeak is THEORETICALLY bannable.

In reality you cant get banned for it since the devs have no tools to detect such software (or no intent), but that applies to MLGA too.......

If it was bannable, the devs would have done something about Ochido but the only times he got banned, was something for being too toxic. I don't think it should be bannable and I don't even TRY to use them.

Neither of those killers need buffs. Both are high A tier killers and extremely deadly killers

I mean to their base and remove the addons. I don't think that top tier killers should be having bases that suck. Also they're S tier. Not A. Hag is definitely on Billys level (not better) and Spirit is pretty much the same as Hag.

I don't want voice comms. But it's definitely not cheating lol. That's just ridiculous to say it is. It is violating the killers made up rules but not the games official rules.

Yes yes yes yes YES! Thank you devs! (It wasn't that hard though, was it?)

It took them over 2 years for the first step towards SWF balance, there is a long way to go though.....

I mean the BNP and exhaustion nerf (because no more double SB's means less bullying) took the first 2 steps towards SWF balance, to be fair.

No, they were just general survivor nerfs and have nothing to do with SWF, but rather the general unbalance

So? They still nerfed SWF. Just indirectly.

Lol.

I mentioned in another thread that all perks that directly attack your opponent need to have some sort of proper downside to using them, otherwise they'd be broken. Ruin for example is a hex because it's quite powerful when it stays up. That lame skillcheck for DS so far has proven to be not that big of a downside for how big the reward is for hitting it. So no, DS isn't balanced.

And for the love of god, stop comparing DS and NOED, they're nowhere close to being comparable.

There is not a single perk that is worse than DS in the entire game.
That single use is more than enough btw.

Usually one only talks about balance when "somehow competent" players are playing the game because it would be absurd to balance a game around a beginner.......

Also Id like to point out that moris can only be used once too on a surivor and reduce a life

    I 100% agree.

If somebody can't get kills with ebony mori, omegablink nurse, it is on them. We can't pretend like that combination is the most balanced thing in the entire game.

Game should be balanced around somewhat competent players, not the top ones but I would say above average is good enough. If a survivor is above average and uses DS, good luck to you, you will need it.

It is so difficult for some people to grasp the reality.

I dont know, omegablink nurse with mori vs competent 4 man with insta heals (maybe a toolbox too?) and 4x heavy fog.
I dont wanna be that nurse......

Why the Nurse would win? She's amazing. Even with Fog she does well. If it's in Yamoka Estate though.... She is going to get buried alive.
