Bubba is most definitely in a very bad place. Literally all he is good for is hard camping some scumbag survivor.
"Some scumbag survivor" and the other 3 good people on their team. I've gone against too many Leatherfaces who rely on cheesing chainsaws to have an overly positive opinion on the character.
The devs won't do anything to him yet because he's still gonna get results, and he'll continue to get results as long as people chainsaw too close and camp.
-
Oh, good. I wasn't sure which was staying. It's also nice to just see people try out different things with the Tomes.
-
Why not run Breakdown? It should theoretically be harder to get tunnelled unless you deliberately lead the killer to another hook.

Well killer must gain more BP because killer is 1v4 , killer do more job than you and have more presser than you. You chose doc one bad killer that can only farm ( like legion). The 50-60 k are 25-30 with out bbq so you play a good game with 9-10 hook that last about 15-18 min and you have at least 3 gen for about 7-9 min of it. If you do the same for survivors then thoes survivors must have around 18-20k atleast. Now i don't know about you but thoes points are very good for 1/4 of the work.
I don't have BBq on my Doctor and suriviors have to do as much work as the killer some games. And I don't farm.
I play both sides equally and all I can say is I don't have to worry about Borrowed Time because I know what I should be doing as killer.

Survivors have a very good amount of blood point so if you lose 1000 from one unhook
What?
I get something like 3 times the BP from playing killer, for about the same work! And that's on my Jumpscare Pig!
Playing an average Doctor game nets me about 50,000-60,000 BP because Killer+Distressing. Survivor though? Gen-jockey Blendette. Not great in a chase, but I can stall a bit. Generally about 12,500. 20,000 if someone brought a team BP offering.
And you can't use the whole "killers wait longer for a game" argument either here, because I'm rank 6 Survivor and rank 10 Killer. Wait times are enormous for higher ranks.
I get what you're trying to go for, but no.
-
I wait for the 3rd survivor to ready up. Then do so myself, make them think that I'm switching things up and adjusting my kit. Just tryna make them second guess themselves.

Anything below 4 is good for me. Having one red rank per game is usually ok as well, it's when you get to rank 4 when salt and toxicity really turn up. It's just stress I don't want/need.
I just got to rank 6 tonight, commonly playing with people above me and I'm praying for Rank Reset now. I get what you mean.

The simple buff is that you don't start wounded. You start healthy, but have the Broken Status once injured so you never heal, but it's a special status that doesn't show to the killer, so he doesn't know you have No Mither.
But it's not something that will ever be done, I'm sure.
They should just remove the anti-slug aspect of No Mither and put that on Unbreakable instead, and rework No Mither into something else to be honest. Keeping in line that you are always injured, but giving a suitable upside to it.
The suitable upside is that you can get yourself up more than once. If it was "Broken after first hit" and NOT warning the killer that you're broken, it could be a bit better. Or instead of picking yourself up multiple times, something to do with giving you the bonuses for the perks Resilience and This is Not Happening, at the cost of being Broken.

Can we stop butchering this game? The nurse gets nerfed with the dumbest add ons (faster movement speed after a blink hit? uh, cool? Can't blink through objects - the point?). The nurse just needed an add on re-work
The spirit needs her add ons changed. A spirit with no add ons is balanced to verse.
I only run Phasing Speed and Recharge powers and it's fine. Nothing too major, just enough to make her power feel a bit better. I don't know what you're on about with the whole "no add-ons" thing there.
@[Deleted User] said:
Why had no one pointed out that if you give her a wraith like shimmer effect while phasing you fix the ENTIRE problem.
And the entire point of Phasing is that nobody sees each other. Besides, they got rid of the directionalised Whooshing because it was too strong for survivors and what you're basically calling for is for that to be re-introduced.
-
The biggest thing for me about No Mither is that it's meant to be an anti-slugging perk but it has only a downside, in reality. If you see that someone had No Mither as killer, you down them and immediately go to hook them. I don't think that there's any simple buff that they could give to make the perk at all viable.
-
People are complaining since there isn't a SIMPLE way that can become muscle memory for survivors. There are a few things, such as collision and audio that COULD be changed though.
Mechanically, Nurse is probably still the best killer in the game, but with enough practice and mind-games, the Spirit can beat her.
I also slightly disagree with @Deadeye on the matter of Freddy. Even as a console player, where he was stronger than PC. He wasn't very good, and while I only played him with Smoking Splinters I still had enough of a feel to say that his power was hot garbage. You could do NOTHING to survivors unless your power hit. Even then, they had too much warning generally. New Freddy is pretty oppressive, yeah, but he feels like he can actually do something.
-
Depends on the perks, items, add-ons and how you use them. Running insta-saw and an ebony? Zero skill. NoED? No brain.
Some thigs are a no-brainer when designing loadouts, but still. There are some things that you look at and say that the player got carried by their kit.
Survivors don't have anything like that, but they do have teammates. So, instead of managing powers and what-not it's about knowing what everyone else is doing and coordianting with them.
-
Certain perks/Kiler Powers do make me feel like I've been cheated out of the game.
There's been games where I've ran a killer, stealthed and dodged them just to get hit by NoED and die on my first hook. Too many times have I been cheated by a Billy or Bubba only charging and using their chainsaw in body-block distance. Hags who put 5 traps up the basement and question how I accuse them of tunnelling when they just come back for me.
So, yeah. I'm gonna call for a minimum safe distance on Hag traps to hooked survivors, I'm gonna question why we need a one-shot weapon base, I'm gonna question why NoED is so popular between ranks 19-14 and 7-1 and we don't get a warning until the first hit.
All I want is for people to openly discuss. Just look at my thread about Chainsaw nerfs. I ask if we need one-shot downs in a basic kit and all I get were "git gud" messages with adivce I already know. People don't want to discuss on here. They wanna whine about things they don't like in the game. And yes I am guilty of this too on occasion, but I do attempt to open conversation where I can. It just feels like most people on here are so heavily into their own opinions that they aren't willing to change.
-
The only thing they need to do is fix his detection from from the survivor's side. It's just too inconsistent. I've stared at him, he as MARKED ME COMPLETELY and I've had zero detection noise against him. Within a short distance too, and no detection preventing add-ons, before some "high IQ" genius tells me otherwise.

If you're close enough to the pallet (or window), you'll avoid the hit.
People tell me this with chainsaws on here and 95% of the time, it isn't an option. Just because you CAN doesn't mean that you will a majority of the time.
And no, there is no counterplay. As someone who plays Spirit, there is simply no chance when I bump into someome that I will not immediately come out of phasing and hit them. Pallet or not.
-
Having to explain to my dad why I play the black chick and how it's not racist that she's near invisible to killers, as I got hooked in the middle of a public game.

Less jokingly, I'm a Doctor main and Blendettes are in big trouble unless they bring Calm Spirit.
Doctor add-ons don't stack. It even says in their descriptions.
And as a Blendette myself, I find this thread offensive. But if you MUST learn how to counter me, a pair of eyes with 20/20 vision and a decent headset are normally pretty good. Also, play as one and you learn the tricks of the trade. I'm not at P3 (not even P1.....) because I like my current build, but it's still hard for killers to see me.
-
If the killer runs away from me to close hatch, then I should be allowed to Kobe. Keep the skip for struggle, but let me at least have a chance for a yeet.
-
Look, as someone who has started learning Spirit after playing mainly Pig, yes. She is difficult, but the main thing is that unlike someone like Nurse, or even to a degree some one like Hillbilly, is that there's way more of a mental aspect to playing her. Both sides are trying to pick up of the other's mentality, and it's almost a coin flip within a chase.
The only thing that I can really say is collision and directionalised noise need to go, and maybe swap the rarities of Mother-Daughter Ring and Prayer Beads.
-
Look, I like this for Mori's since I feel cheated out of the game, but certain add-on combinations? Why not make Insta-Saw on that list then? Why not make it all Ultra-Rare add-ons a put Pig players further back? Same with Wraith.
-
I've designed a Victorian England style Mob enforcer character. The power needs changing since it is kinda weak at the moment. Having trouble trying to come up with a decent and thematic power that basically isn't ripping off another killer.
Brass Knuckles as a weapon, pinstripe suit and a large physical appearance would make him very intimidating. Base stats for the most part, but with his weakened power, I did have a slightly shorter terror radius to compensate.
Perks do seem kinda interesting though. Denying items, revealing auras for close survivors and a chance to destroy pallets while making a lunge attack.
As for the add-ons, that'll have to be decided when I figure out a decent power for him and how to change it.

Id say it is purgatory. Everyone that is in the realm has committed the 7 deadly sins. It would make sense. The only thing is. How do they escape the seemingly endless realm.
I wouldn't say that they have commited any real sins, since I also see the Entity as a twisted and malevolent being trying to take as much life/soul/spiritual energy from all within it.
And escape? Well, dying doesn't seem to work.......

The power is very weak mate. It doesn't help you in chases and gives you no map pressure. It seems more like an add-on than an ability. I'd say if I want survivors broken I'd play plague since cleansing is really good for me.
Collateral Damage: This is very strong. Couple this with spirit fury and enduring and you'll get rid of pallets way to easily.
Dirty Rat: Think this is also very strong mate. Couple it with Knock Out and a mobility killer and it will destroy a lot of teams. It is just a stronger BBQ in my opinion. The condition helps with balancing the perk but I still think it's just too strong.
Send A Message: This is annoying perk lol but it's ok. I don't see any reason to fun it unless your doing a certain build but that's fine. I'd actually say you should give it a slight buff. Maybe when a survivor searches a chest the killer sees their aura. Also increase chest searching time by 4/6/8 seconds.
I hope this feedback was helpful. I'd say you need to look at changing the ability. Maybe make your current ability his secondary ability, then add something more. Add something that will at least help with chases or gen pressure, maybe even both.
Yeah, Dirty Rat needs some more balancing, like maybe have it "in terror radius". As for his power, I have no clue what to do. Send a Message is also meant to be about simply denying the survivors items outright, rather than making it an inconvenience.
Maybe I could do an Overwatch style power, similar to Doomfist where he had a short burst forward, kinda like a Pig dash, but only in a straight line. If they're hit, they're injured. If they hit a wall or object, they go down. Add-ons would increase knockback range, charge speed, add effects like Broken or Hemmorage. Maybe it should also break pallets instantly, similar to Hillbilly chainsaw..........
I originally wrote this before Plague was introduced, and I was in yellow/green ranks, so yeah. A lot has changed then.
-
I go back and forth between periods of playing more Survivor or Killer, generally if I'm playing Survive with Friends, or how many times I get unfairly chainsawed/camped/tunnelled/NoED killed.
Since, though I'm fairly new to playing killer, only really doing it in the past 3 months, and having other commitments, such as work, I'm somewhat at the lower ranks, and being a Pig main, I quite like it that way. There's something fun about aggressively hunting down people undetected like the Predator, but it's still a rank where I can dash at a hook and slug the poor unhooked guy and not feel obliged to tunnel to save time. I'll down them as if to say "You will LEARN from your damn mistake!" and move on.
That being said, a coordinated Survive with Friends near bullying baby killers has been some of the most fun I've had in the game. I'd rather a close call that I get out of than a one-sided slogging.
-
The only change I want to see is that the Hex takes effect immediately, rather than on first hit.
And yes i know that Hex: Ruin and Hex: Thrill of the Hunt only notify you when hey activate the first time, but Exposed is kind of a big deal. And every other Exposed effect tells you instantly.

I’m going to try to present what I think is a legitimate case as to why Spirit is so frustrating to play against as survivor. I’ve made this comment in a couple threads already, so apologies ahead of time if it seems like I’m repeating myself.
Survivors don’t dislike Spirit because she’s the only Killer that consistently dominates. There are lots of killers that are downright oppressive in the right hands, especially in at rank 1. The reason she is disliked is because THERE IS NO LEGITIMATE COUNTERPLAY TO HER POWER.
A lot of people will discuss the ‘mind game’ when playing with or against Spirit. I don’t actually think there is a mind game. Mind gaming implies that one player is giving out information that forces the other player to make a bad play. While she’s phasing, survivors aren’t getting any information from Spirit. They’re forced to make a guess. That’s not playing a mind game; it’s flipping a coin to see whether or not you take a hit. Oh, and the person flipping the coin can force it to land on heads if they make the right play.
Spirit has an insurmountable advantage while phasing. Audio and collision allow her to collect enough for a hit while rapidly closing distance. Survivors don’t get enough information during her phasing to make an intelligent play against her.
Does she need a nerf? I’m still not really sure. There are a couple loadouts that do counter her. Spine Chill plus Fixated is a new perk combo I’m having success with against her. The more classic counter build that absolutely works is Lithe, Q&Q, DWM, IW. You can compete with her, but it’s going to cost at at least two perk slots. With the current state of the game, can survivors afford to blindly run off-meta perks in order to have a chance against Spirit?
Kind if a long post. I hope this at least respectfully outlines some clear frustrations survivor have with Spirit; regardless of whether or not they’re justified.
Edit: Grammar
I've been trying to learn Spirit recently and while she does feel powerful, there are 2 changes that people have suggested that'd make it a bit better for survivors that I agree with. Lose the collision and make Survivor audio (breathing, grunts of pain, healing) no longer directionalised, like her phasing.

What about Kate? She saw the Entity presence and literally tried fighting back.
She's actually one of the harder ones to theorise about. If I had to choose though, because I want them all to have somewhat unique deaths before reaching the Entity, I have though of her attempting to write a new song before being ambushed by a jealous rival or fan. Explaining how only her guitar was left.
-
For me it's wait times in general, and there is a bit of pressure for sure. Main thing is though as a Pig main is that in a sense, all the games are the same. i stealth, I dash, I stab, I hook. And I do mix it up occasionally with the Doctor, Spirit, Myers and Legion, but even still. Not to mention that a lot of killers, like Pig, basically require Hex: Ruin unless you're playing at rank 17 or below. Anyone who isn't Hillbilly, Nurse or Freddy don't really have all that much mobility to stop complete gen-rushing against competent survivors.

I think Dirty Rat could be an alternative for BBQ (ignoring the bp gain), but it shouldn't be better than BBQ.
How'd you change it then? I added the "Resets on hook" clause so it'd work similar to BBQ, or rather the timing of it anyway. I do see how it'd be better though, say, if someone is next to a hook. I may also need to add a distance component to it too.
Also, how long does it take to open a chest? The main idea behind that one was at level 2, it's the same speed as a survivor opening a chest, with 1 slightly slower and 3 being slightly faster.
-
@Critical_Fish said:
The power is cool, but seems more like a perk than an actual power, and it isn't that good imo.
Collateral Damage is a really good idea, I like it! I see nothing wrong with it.
Dirty Rat is broken. It'd be amazing, too good even. It would render BBQ worthless. Maybe after injuring a Survivor, the auras of others are shown for 1/2/3 second(s)?
Send a Message is gimmicky, and takes too long to be used. Great concept, though!
Yeah, like I said though the values can be tweaked. And I did change Dirty Rat slightly. But yeah, it was meant to replace stuff like BBq and discourage dribbling, since that was big and Decisive Strike was completely different then.

Maybe if done correctly. In my opinion you'd have to setup the right atmosphere to make him fit. For example; game should become black and white if you face him (except for things that need to highlighted like fire, blood and scratchmarks) and he should have his own chase music, maybe something similar to the trailer. Then again, I don't know how he would be able to see sneaky survivros if everything is black and white. Maybe he should be able to see in color while survivors are the only ones who see everything in black and white. I don't know. But yeah, setting the right atmosphere for him would actually make him scary.
You don't even need to make the game black and white, but what I'm more concerned about is simply, like with people suggesting Chucky or Pennywise, "What would his power be?"

A good idea would actually make camping less effective, not just cause the game to waggle its finger at you disapprovingly.
"What's that? Machine gun build? No no no. Fifty points from Gryffindor."
What if the timer gets increased based on terror radius/proximity? Yes, you can camp me out killer, but you're gonna have to wait a little longer then.
-
Shame to see an actually good idea being filled with troll comments. While I think that the punishment for camping isn't severe enough, for some people, I think that it can be tweaked so that everyone is somewhat ok with it.
Instead of ONE emblem going down, why not make it ALL emblems but only have it trigger outside of a chase.
Personally, I'd also like to see an increase in minimum distance of traps to hooks.

No offence but that's entirely a "you-problem". Not only does Leatherface trade map pressure, gen stall potential, mobility and stealth for one single attribute (lethality) but his only attribute even has numerous counters which can quickly turn him into a killer with absolutely NO power at all if you know what you're doing as survivor.
I've looped Leatherfaces at rank 1 for 5 gens myself despite being a killer main/Bubba main myself (video with post game screen on my YT channel in case you don't believe me) and merely ended up getting downed with the hammer AFTER said 5 gen chases.
Bubba's chainsaw (default) creates a death zone of a lousy 15 meters with a starting speed of 86.25% and a top speed of 126.5% during the chainsaw end-animation which can NOT even down a survivor. It is beyond me how someone could possibly complain about this.
It's the most "fair" instadown in the game BY FAR. Not only do you have to be inside said death zone in the first place which can be avoided by using strctures, vaults, pallets etc. but you also have to STAY inside said death zone for several seconds for Bubba to get a CHANCE to hit you with the chainsaw. Every second is 4 meters in survivor speed. Therefore you get more than enough chances to drop a pallet, vault a window or run around objects allowing you to even outrun his lousy 15 meters death zone in many cases due to the fact Bubba has to keep some distance to said object as a result of the chainsaw hitbox.
Ok, so every time that I've been physically caught on terrain that Bubba's chainsaw conveniently ignores, every insta-saw build, every since bloodlusted chase into a body rub-chainsaw combo is a ME-problem.
I'm NoT gOoD eNoUgH!
And map pressure? You have a goddam AoE attack! And a speed boost while using it!
You know how people complain about Nurse overpopulating high ranks? Yeah, well on Xbox for me, ever since I've hit rank 10, it's been chainsaws all round with one Michael and one Demagorgon. Not to mention the absolute oppression Bubba applies at the lower green ranks. Just because PC red ranks don't use him, doesn't mean he isn't a problem for other players.

"Not Important" from Hatred as killer. I mean, I like the idea, but I don't think he would fit in the game, because honestly to me this game doesn't feel like a horror game, it's more like a paraody of a horror game. The only killer that kinda scares me is Michael.
Mate, adding Jeffrey Cuddletrousers to DbD would be an interesting one.
-
Speed Limiter is a thing and what I was saying was throwing the Chainsaw for an instant down is basically the Iridescent Head from Huntress, without the downside of a 20m Terror Radius, directionalised humming and having to go and scour lockers.
And it literally being an add-on over base kit.
But overall, my main problem is with the players who use him constantly. I've just been chainsawed too many times when they could have just hit me with the hammer. It's just not fun to go down in one hit.
-
It probably has something to do with the way it affects the Pip and Bloodpoint stuff at the end, since a DC gives the killer a "Leaver's Bonus".
That or it's what DWolfAlpha said above me^
-
Now look, there is a certain unnamed event in November that a lot of us are trying not to fail. This skin is gonna make that kinda hard.
-
Just to clarify my above comment though, it's not that Leatherface is in a bad place, it's mainly the people who play him for me.
-
You want him to charge his chainsaw faster when all Leatherfaces ever do is lovingly caress my inner thigh with the chain before swinging? Are you mad?
Also, the throw and the dash attacks are basically I-Heads from Huntress and Exposed Pig Ambush, both of which would seemingly require MORE WORK to pull off. Not to mention the use of Black Wards or near infinite Bloodweb grinding for the Huntress.
I've said before in my own discussion thread about how I don't like base instant downs within kits, especially when 15/17 killers have to run specific perks, add-ons or use certain powers in particular ways. Too many Hillbillies and Bubbas just wait until their within basic attack range, and use their chainsaw as their only attack and I hate it.
-
As someone who works in an Australian bottle shop, the quote "The best cure for a hangover is to never stop drinking" works wonders.

I agree with this. I'd rather take the death and at least get the blood points for the match, and possibly safety.
I've had games as killer where I even help out the remaining because there were 2 DC's in the first minute. Even in death, you are useful to a team. You are at least a distraction for a couple of seconds.
That being said, killers aren't immune to this. Dirty tactics and a "Git gud" when getting called out on it is not ok.

Well, I did say that this shouldn't become a question of rank, but rank 9 on Xbox. Mainly because I've devoted more time to killer lately, and Survivor outside of SWF has been lackluster.
