  • Can we swap? All I get lately are campers and tunnellers.

  • Dude. Just stay in the game, waste the killer's time and a hook, and GET YOUR BLOODPOINTS.

It's something I have never understood about people DC'ing. You are just better off staying and getting your BP for perks and items.

"played as intended, with no camping or tunnelling,"

    Hold on right there.

Camping and tunneling are obviously intended. How do I know?

They would've been taken out 3 years ago if they weren't.

Just because the developer's DON'T have restrictions on those "tactics" doesn't make them intended.

Point is let survivors have their fun for a bit, changes regarding generator times and what-not will be implimented after they see that people will rush the objective, OR they'll slow down in order to increase emblems. Gen-rush can hurt survivors and their rank too.

Did it ever occur to you that when Killers lost one of their only means of early game generator slowdown in hex ruin it might just drive THEM away from since, I dunno, THEY CAN'T FINISH A CHASE WITHOUT 1-2 GENERATORS POPPING? There is zero point in me loading into a match when a wiseguy like you just hardcore gen rushes and ignores totems and then say "It'S a LeGiTiMaTe StRaTeGy"

And wow, you're going to talk about empathy and playing nice? Yes I can't wait to "play nice" with the flashlight t-bag crowd who literally run for the broken infinite on a map every single time I'm even close to them and pretend like they're some kind of god-looper. The same ones who get Disturbed Ward and then talk nonsense after a game. Yeah I can't imagine where killers developed this "######### survivors" mentality.

Maybe clean your own house before worrying about how we run ours. Survivors caused killers to be toxic a long time ago.

You're funny. You assume my playstyle.

Gen-rush annoys me enough on both sides. It's an extreme rarity I use an item, and I NEVER use a flashlight.

The only "meta" perk I use too on Surv is DS because of all the rampant tunnelling. I run SELF-CARE ffs.

And I play both sides, so don't you DARE come at me with that housecleaning crap. After being camped and tunnelled all week, with terrible killers justifying it with "I payed money, so I can play how I want" and "It's a legit strategy", I'm over defending them.

I try to me a mediator, I try to be unbiased, I try to he fair to both sides, but when KILLERS are camping and tunnelling, leaving only the objective to survivors, then I'm sorry, but killers have no right justifying their position right now.

If they all clraned up their acts and played as intended, with no camping or tunnelling, and get rushes to all hell, then survivors will slow down as they can't rank up OR the devs will do something.

    How does that sound?

  • I'm not a red ranked Pig, but still a decent Pig and all I can say is yes there is snowball and massive amounts. And that build is not one that I'd ever use.

Also slugging as Pig isn't a bad thing. If I accidentally ambush into a person who just got unhooked, I'll leave them. Free pressure and the other guy doesn't feel super frustrated about tunnelling.

PSA for any Pigs out there: Just don't tunnel trapped survivors ever. You are wasting your free pressure. Even if they only have the trap on for a few seconds. They are not healing, working on generators or doing totems in that time.

  • @Awakey said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1170805#Comment_1170805

Gen rushing is legitimate. It is my job to punish you for it by tunneling. And it is your job to punish me by doing gens.

It's the circle of life. Or death, when I get my 5th DH stack.

You ever think that tunnelling might just drive people away from the game since, I dunno, THEY CAN'T FECKING PLAY! There is zero point me loading into a match when a wiseguy like you just hardcore tries to delete me and then say "It'S a LeGiTiMaTe StRaTeGy!"

    Same goes for face-camping.

I'm just going to say the same thing that I do to all campers and tunnellers. MAYBE using some empathy and playing nice with others might just extend the life of the game. Sometimes doing the selfless thing gains more net-worth than the selfish thing.

Maybe then BT and DS will become less popular after camping and tunnelling disappear.

And to answer your question @TAG I'd say that it's both the people using it and the devs for legitimising it. I don't care if DS and BT are added to stop it, not everyone has access to those perks for every game, and if a killer wants to, they'll power through those perks.

  • I'd change it from Merciless (double pip) to something more obtainable for all killers, say, Ruthless. This way you have to show skill with the character (sucks for instant down killers! HAH!) and do decently, but not oppressively well with sub-par perks.

Just because you're really great at using a killer doesnt mean that killer is a strong killer . for example , many people think wraith is a underrated killer , even though he lacks map pressure and has several flaws including being able to be burnt by a flash light and not having his speed addons basekit.

you cant deny that out of the whole roster clown probably lacks the most map pressure. Clown is a lot like Deathslinger , he is great at 1v1 chases but when it comes to a whole team, he doesnt have much. the only thing he has going for him is his Exhaustion addons.

Clown has so many things that makes him a terrible killer such as ;his slow as heck reload speed , your movement speed dropping to like 50% when reloading , his audio cue that he gives off when vaulting (it's super loud ), his map pressure is little to none ( you down someone on one side of the map, there is no way you're using pop on the gen on the other side) unlike killers like spirit , freddy, oni, demogorgon, and freddy. His toxic gas doesnt prevent survivors from fast vaulting pallets. speaking of pallets , it the survivor is at least somewhat competent they'll drop that pallet early and keep running.

I'm sure you're really good at playing clown(and that's really amazing man!)but he is simply no where near a good killer.

Being really good at a killer doesn't make them strong for EVERYONE, true, but they can be strong FOR YOU. And I think that Dude's come up with a method that's strong for him. And you know what? Good on you @DudeDelicious for finding an effective method of playing a "weak" killer.

I've done a similar thing with Pig, focusing on actually patrolling generators rather than finding chases, stalling out the game to a crawl, picking off survivors one-by-one and getting a massive snowball effect. Doesn't work 100% of the time, but it's good for me and actually really fun.

Sometimes the best thing we can do is change our thinking on a topic and look at it from another angle.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I will give respect where respect is due. I see you have put a lot of effort into this.

I agree that Clown has a lack of (direct) map pressure, and that Clown experiences a cooldown/slowdown after a throw (but they’re genuinely NOT a problem when Clown is used properly), and sure survivors that have already successfully reached a pallet can just drop the pallet early/immediately, and yes ABSOLUTELY Clown’s greatest weakness is survivor stealth (he absolutely punishes altruism/heroism)

I’m kinda exhausted in regards to repeatedly highlighting what this community gets dead wrong about Clown, so I’m just going to be as succinct as possible with the following points.

    • Clown does indeed require fast thinking, real-time strategy mid chase. Real thought MUST be put into bottle tosses, and RESTRAINT.
    • (Most) players just don’t put thought into how to expose survivors to as much Intoxication as possible with a bottle toss. Hence why Clowns cooldown/slowdown makes it seem that survivors are simply not slowed enough (this mechanic is MEANT to teach players that they’re not using the power properly)
    • (Most) players are unable to identify whether it’s prudent at particular moments during a chase (and the area of the map) to either gas ahead of the survivor or to aim for a direct hit to blur the survivors vision more severely.
    • Unlike Freddy or Doc, Clown has the utility to PREVENT a survivor reaching a pallet in time before taking a hit.
    • If gas clouds are placed smartly enough, Clown achieves the same desired result regardless of if the survivor evades the gas or powers through all of it: Clown gains distance on the survivor at an insane rate.
    • Clown has no direct map/gen pressure, HOWEVER this is all achieved by proxy via insanely fast chases, which compensates Clown more than most give credit for. Yes, when Clown is used correctly chases are ended frighteningly fast. Of course this just highlights that Clown is simply only for players that have impeccable tracking/hunting skills, or to equip at bare minimum 1 tracking perk. That said, an expert Clown with a full tracking loadout is a terrifying killer to go against.
    • The reload mechanic is a great mindgame tool. When bottles are used properly and sparingly (I.e. 1 or 2 bottle tosses having MUCH bigger impact on the chase) then Clown should rarely be in a position where he has no bottles mid chase and MUST reload mid chase at times that benefit the survivor. Which frees up the reload or fake reloading to try and trick survivors.

That’s really all I have energy to type right now.

I don't doubt that Clown is extremely capable as a killer, in the right hands. Otz proved that with his Ninja Clown video recently. It's just that for The [Killer] Problem, I'm taking a look at this from a neutral perspective and from the view of the "average" player, around the sort of Purple and Green ranks where a majority of the playerbase should be in.

Most people this is for are not going to be like you who devote time to one killer to learn all their nuance, and that was something a lot of people missed with The Hillbilly Problem. Your comment here is good though for those who are looking to improve their game with the Clown, and welcome advice for all!

Even with your way of playing him, though, I still think that all of his slows are indeed just too much against him. They do need to be lessened.

    @yutycorn said:

    I genuinely appreciate the time you take to try and clearly convey a concise statement/debate/etc for all of us to read. I know there are people that won't take the time to read, but I have, and I wish I could give a nice conversation in regard to it -- but I have not played Clown. I am going to get him once I have shards (Mr Puddles being the only incentive lmao) so instead, I want to say this;

For those that have played Clown, or for those who have gone against him a lot (as even myself, I have only actually gone against him 30 or so times since I started playing. I started a month or so (roughly) after his release.) May have actually been closer toward Spirit's release, it's been a while. What I mean is, I don't understand him as well as some do, so take the time to read the post and give your feedback. Be genuine as well -- don't be a pain.

If you do a The Hag Problem, I will be all over that lmao.

Next up is actually Legion and "balancing the unbalancable" with his power either being super annoying and somewhat strong, versus the second version which is considered one of the weakest killers in the game.

Hag will be an interesting one, but I'm going to focus on her kit encouraging what is described as an "unfavourable" playstyle with an overwhelming majority of players placing at least 3 traps at a hooked survivor, basically proxy-camping, rather than true map pressure.

  • Deathslinger does the same things and Clown does in terms of ending chases quickly. People think that he's decent.

I've already covered off the major problems with Clown in my own thread "The Clown Problem" and the tl:dr is that his power is only for the chase and it has so many drawbacks, combined with the fact that survivors learnt how to counter him naturally.

  • It hasn't been THAT long since the Ruin rework.

As for these supposed "crutch" and "second chance" perks that killers will not shut up about is one thing: EXTREMELY conditional and/or one use only.

As for the higher ranks, they're not completely unplayable, you're just unlikely to 4k unless you're Nurse, Freddy, Hillbilly or Spirit. You don't need to 4k every single game. Just keep survivors off gens, hook them and smack them where possible.

  • Dude. Calm down.

His shot range is only something like 14m, where M&A turns his TR to 16m.

And a lot of people are also saying that M&A isn't that great on him, and his most optimal builds don't need it.

  • @OBX said:

Pointless. If it’s as all survivors claim “anti-tunneling” perk fine: as soon as someone other than the person getting unhooked gets hit, all DS are turned off. (Let’s see how they do mental back flips to justify it now)

Ok. Killers will just adapt to hit the person umhooking, then run after the recently unhooked, cancelling DS.

If a killer REALLY wants to tunnel someone, they won't care in the slightest that you hit them with DS anyway.

youre probably right considering how varied perks Powers are based on killer, just starting with addons would be nice. It would have prevented Prayer beads/fathers ring spirit, forever Freddy, Iri huntress with 3 shots, if it was based on specific addons and not colors it could even stop instasaw Billy/bubba

True, but at least Double Chess Doc and all those other costly ones will be finished. Tier-III Myers achievement will be super-difficult though.

  • @johnmwarner said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1167911#Comment_1167911

All addons and perks should have a “point level,” and you have a certain amount for your build. Wanna bring Iri heads and a mori, fine but your second addon has to be gray and you get no perks.

As survivor wanna being DS and BT, fine but you don’t get any exhaustion perk and any flashlight/toolbox/medkit has to be gray as well.

Obviously values would have to be looked at but I think you get my point

I've thought of a similar thing, but strictly limited to add-ons. It'd work out in numbers that you could take an Iri, but were limited to a brown add-on secondary.

  • Well, it does make the "HARD" Skill check harder, but at the same time they're tunnelling, and there's a lot of complaints lately (past couple of months) about people abusing the power of DS.............

I don't think they should be affected as much by Madness, but I also think that tunnelling off hook makes you a garbage killer, regardless of circumstance unless they're super-toxic.

Not sure what you mean by not serious. I am 100% serious and stand by every word I said. I said it was BS in general and gave a hypothetical that amplified the struggle I had just had with Tier 1 Myers/SC when I made the post. That isn't an exaggeration it's an obersation based on what I had just experienced then and in the past.. The "other" person gave their opinion and then when I added back with my own more detailed opinion they got snobby about it. Then after when I called them out on it they personally insult me multiple times. IF you can even call what I said "an opinion" meanwhile their statement a gleaming example of what an opinion actually is "its fine the way it is" " wasted perk slot". I stated multiple facts. Why is Myers extra slow in tier 1? To balance the fact that having no terror radius is an advantage. That isn't an opinion. Spine Chill adds another penalty to Myers in tier 1...is being slower AND having them know you're coming not a penalty? Do survivors need to know the exact location of Myers in Tier 1 to use Spine Chill as a means to gain safety? No.

Sure, lets slowly pass around the fact that walking backwards is not a counter AT ALL. A trick that can work at times? Yes? But lol....good luck defeating competent survivors who you need to SEE that are going to struggle because you appeared with no indication with your back turned..... It isn't like stealth killers are this cheap OP aspect and the ones that are strong would flat out be countering their own advantage by trying that on a consistent basis. Myers, Ghost, need to SEE the survivors.

A Myers planning to leave Tier 1 would overall do more harm to their game then good by walking backwards assuming players had spine chill. More often than not you would just lose chances to gain stalk.

A Ghost is capable of moving at normal speed so they might as well just play normally and if Spine Chill is present you still gain some advantage as they can't be 100% sure where you are and they don't have the option of getting into a safe spot like they would with Tier 1 Myers because Ghost is moving 15% fast than them.

As for exaggeration. What are some elements of this game on the killer side that are blatantly worse than being a Tier 1 Myers going against multiple Spine Chillls? One of the most popular perks in the entire game.

Now unless you're running a specific Tier-I/Mirror build on a map like The Game, then there's no reason for you not to try and tier up against someone running Spine Chill when they run away, generally in the open. When you tier up, it can give survivors a false sense of security now that you have a terror radius.

If I'm going against a Myers while they're in Tier-I, and I have Spine Chill, then I'm going to be a bit jumpy and looking anywhere just in case. Same with ANY killer who can have zero terror radius, or an M+A Deathslinger or Hag.

  • There were several things that got me into DbD. I've picked "Other" since it was a combination of about 3.

I had quite a few friends who were playing together all the time on Overwatch, but we were commonly reaching about 10 people, and Customs were kind of getting old. We were all looking at getting a new game, and it was either DbD or Friday the 13th. Since Friday could house more people, we went for that. Not many of us got it and none of us found it to be all that good a game.

Later on one of my younger brothers remembered that we were looking into Dead by Daylight as well, so we looked into it again and I picked up a disk on sale. A few of us got it to play some KYF, and I enjoyed it. Of the original 10 that played together, only 3 of us play DbD now, with me being the only one who consistently plays it. Shame really. I've found that the game is more fun when you know what to do and try out some very strange things.

  • There was no key present, so I have no clue what you're complaining about there.

As for Iri-heads and an Ebony, it's disgusting and most builds like this are just "I want four kills, forget having fun with it."

Maybe if there was a way to restrict how many iridescent items/add-ons were equipped at once, then it might make these items less infuriating to see, and make killers both use them sparingly and powerful without mindlessly stomping people.

What's fair for one side has to be fair for the other. When people start realizing that, this game will become a lot better, and less toxic. Survs wanna gen rush, all bring tool boxes and keys, and burn ######### map offerings. That's when killers start slugging, camping, and bringing mori's. Killers are trying to have fun and enjoy the game too, and with the surv meta now, you have no choice but to play toxic as killer just to keep up and compete.

I never said that either side was FAIR, I said that you should earn your damn kills, and give a survivor a false sense of hope. As for items on Survs, I DON'T! There are heaps of survivors who don't use squat except the perks they bring and the occasional BP offering because we're awarded sweet FA in terms of BP.

I'm just so sick to death of the slug "fer meh fer keh". Killers wonder why survivors bring Unbreakable, Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Dead Hard and Adrenaline. It's all in response for the trash "tactics" that they all employ, and it's hurting other killers, like me, who don't follow that way of thinking or playing.

If that last survivor finds hatch before me, good on them! They earned it! I've already got 3 kills and iri Gatekeeper. My rank's not going down, that's for sure.

  • Do it and don't complain when a killer face-camps you. You wanted their attention.

I also find that teabaggers are also the first to DC when they don't get their own way. A good example is a Jake who teabagged at pallets against my Pig, my GODDAMN MAIN, while I was chasing others. I chased him after about the 5th time. He made an obvious locker play and immediately DC'd when I called his bluff. Don't even know if he had Head On, but it doesn't matter.

He cost his team severely because widdle Piggy doesn't wike teabagging. Well, this little Piggy can do that too.

Same could be said on survivor side. You gen rush and knock out all the gens, killer hasn't even gotten a kill. Do one of you volunteer to stay behind and let the killer kill you? Didn't think so...

You know what the difference is here? Tension, hope and the fact that it's easy enough to swing the game back in your favour when perks like NoED exist because you can't apply pressure.

Gen-rush sucks, but in this scenario the survivors did kinda earn their lives more than the killer did a kill. You can get zero kills, and still get Brutal or even Relentless results if you play right.

  • @antgnstea said:

Yeah I feel your frustration. It happens to me especially when I decide between 2 challenges. If I take 12gen repair, killer sees me first and never lets me go, game finishes without me even touching a gen. Then I change it to pallet stun. And never even see the killer, do 4 gens by myself. Stuff like that.

I think its because we are being too focused to your challenges and even if that was normal game routine, when we couldn't achieve it asap, it causes frustration.

The thing is that I'm not even focused on the challenges that much. My latest example with the "Escape 4 times" challenge, I've already done one. I get on tonight and try to complete it. First game was a Legion who the survivors left me to reach second stage hook, then got tunnelled and missed my DS check because console. I did 2 gens and that was all that popped. After that, two Spirits who were just obnoxious to go against and wouldn't leave me alone, and a Trapper who just hated me. Just trying to play normally, and I get sweated on.

With challenges like the Empathy one, I just happen to get sent to killers who don't care about your health state. Didn't change how I played. Just meant that I was just in a game where my mission was literally impossible.

It doesn't change my play at all, but somehow it's near impossible every time.

  • Or maybe killers as a whole can just hook the survivor, and if they die hunt the hatch. If you've dominated THAT FAR, then having one be lucky enough to find hatch can't hurt that much. Unless you rely on instant-downs, then too bad.

  • Spine Chill, Self-Care, Bond, Sprint Burst - use a Claudette with the default jacket and dark pants.

Self-Care, Botany Knowledge, Decisive Strike, [exhaustion] - use on anyone. Good if you know how to run and evade a killer after. Great for saves.

Windows of Opportunity, Dance with Me, Lithe, Quick and Quiet - take the most obnoxious and bright cosmetic possible, then NINJA VANISH!

  • I'm with @SoylentPixie here. Good survivors will just see your power and assume you were either a baby, an idiot, or more brave than me posting a thread about Hillbilly.

It'll make people question your motivation, but that'll be it.

  • The actual lethality rate is low, unless you have an underlying medical condition. Same as the COMMON FLU, which COVID-19 is in the same viral family of, called the Coronavirus family.

Humanity has endured against other viral outbreaks, but nobody battered an eye when the Plague was released. Same with electro-shock therapy and the Doctor.

People cope in different ways. I personally make insensitive and insulting jokes and largely ignore a problem, or remove/solve the issue. Then I play video games. The whole Bloodhunt or BP Fest ideas are more a way to keep self-isolated people playing DbD rather than branching off to other games.

  • I play a significant more amount of survivor than killer, but I'm still fairly neutral in these posts, and I see this as a bad idea. Generators are already being worked on quickly enough as it is, and Survivor is an information game more than anything. If you give them MORE information, then there will be no stopping them.

Part of the survivor game is not just working on the generators, but finding them too. If you've spend enough time in this game to memorise where generators are in relation to certain types of cover, or see the beginning of a 3-Gen strat, then it'll be easier to pick generators to work on and just outright avoid the killer.

Good idea in theory, kind of a mess in practice.

  • If you have it on a high mobility killer, a killer with a basekit instant down then you deserve every bit of hate that comes your way.

Even some killers without these are extremely annoying without instant downs or mobility powers. Plague is generally a WHY THE FECK? with a lot of killers being more of an "are you serious".

I can understand it on killers like Trapper or Clown, but it's still a super annoying perk and can easily punish me for the mistakes of others. I've had a significant amount of games where I've cleansed 4 totems, only for NoED to proc. I did one generator that game.

My biggest problem with the perk, besides no input or effort from the killer, is simply there is ZERO WARNING. Myers Tier III, GF Stalk, Haunted Ground, Make Your Choice, Iron Maiden and even Redhead's Pinky all tell you when you're exposed. And at least you have to earn Devour Hope stacks.

I'd also say play as or against Plague.

  • Botany Knowledge for survivor. Spine Chill has kind of become meta lately. The extra healing speed is really good.

Surveillance on killer. Even before the Ruin rework. Better than Discordance for a majority of killers.

  • It could work in the same sense that it'll certainly throw people off, similar to using it on Huntress.

Most people expect M&A because it's decent on Deathslinger. Probably not one of his best perks, but better for learning with.

You can also do a similar thing with an Australian "Shanty town" which is basically made out of sheet metal and other on-hand supplies. Or try something similar to the Wolf Creek movies with the bad guy's encampment.

Or do an underground map similar to Coober Pedy.

It is a means to escape. My "objective' as a survivor is techincally to escape the trial.l

I don't agree with that latter part. Slugging for a 4K is basically the only thing you can do; generally if you don't you are effectively giving them a hatch unless you know exactly where it is already and know you can make it there from a deathhook in time. The game is balanced around those existing as an option with base kit; DS and BT the game is balanced around those being an OPTION- one that happens to be so strong that everyone runs them.

I think that it's a fair trade-off as both DS/BT prevent the other side from doing their ojective. And yes, in this case the hatch is the survivor's objective.

if you have DS, and are "getting tunneled," hop in a locker. I'm serious. The killer will have to wait it out or eat your DS. Either way, you're hurting them MASSIVELY.

Same with borrowed time. If you get hooked in the EGC, and someone saves you with BT, you can body block for them because them mend is pointless, so its a free health state where the killer gets their weapon wipe stun while you get a speed boost. Pair it with DS and they cant even pick you up while you crawl to the exit, unless it takes over a minute from when you got unhooked. Its exploitable AF.

Most of the time I get tunnelled, it's nowhere near a locker, or I'm left on the ground as they run after the other guy.

If you also try the risky unhook with BT, I'm sorry, but I owe you nothing.

I would also propose that slugging the 3rd person for a guaranteed 4k is on the same level as DS/BT in EGC and is therefore fair game while killers continue to abuse this particular mechanic.

Down and hook someone in the EGC, especially anywhere within half the map of an exit. If there is BT they'll get away for free anyway, but even if not, you have to respect DS. If not, they get away for free anyway too.

If you jump in a locker, the killer can't even slug you. they are FORCED to grab you and eat the DS. Unless they sit in front of the locker for a minute and then boop you when you eventually get out (or it wears out, which they have to time mentally anyway). either way, they gave up anything they could have elsewise gotten JUST to secure the kill.

Its bad design. Overall its not bad, but its HIGHLY exploitable in situations that have a very high frequency of occurring, which makes it bad unless there is some type of failsafe that prevents exploitation. They removed the BT bonus on the unhooker because people exploited the hell out of it, and this is an example of people giving evidence why a similar change would be beneficial to the health of the game.

BT and DS are exploitable, huh?? How about tunnelling and slugging?

Don't punish people because a few cheat the system.

  • So, you want a free mori one because I use the anti-tunnelling perk as intended?

A lot of survivors these days have taken to using it since more killers have been tunnelling after the Ruin rework. If they all stopped, then the number of DS users will fade naturally.

  • I actually find Freddy good to go against because he keeps me on my toes. Unlike a certain killer that I will not name to avoid MORE backlash than usual.

It's not a case of "Oh no. He found me, I'm screwed because there's not the right type of cover" unlike some killers.

I find that I still have to actually work for everything I get in a game. As a survivor AND Freddy.

  • Self-care does have its uses. When you're playing solo, you can't always get heals off a teammate, not even in SWF all that much.

Some people champion Inner Strength instead, but all I have to say is 5 chances max. Not worth it. And with Retribution/Haunted Ground now seemingly a thing, even more of a nightmare fir that playstyle.

Just bring a medkit if you want to self heal

As for THIS argument, limited charges and countered entirely by Franklin's Demise. Not worth the risk. I'll stick to Self-Care and Botany Knowledge.

If people aren't good with his power they probably won't be getting many downs with it. And why does the point that he can be looped not count? That doesn't really make sense. Of course how good a survivor can counterplay a killer relies on their skill as survivor.

Well, you have a weapon, USE IT. Your hammer is your weapon, the chainsaw is a power.

As for being looped, that us entirely based on the skill of other players. A character's balance should be independent on what the other team can do to them.

There are exceptions here like Plague and her Corrupt Purge or Clown in general, but when Hillbilly is consistently top 3 on tier lists, then the point is kind of irrelevant. There are things in his kit to compensate for a few particular loops.

  • Top 5, but not strongest. He's the strogest character witout a mobility option, by far.

That's my problem with oni. You're skill doesn't matter when the survivor just drops the safe pallet.

It's just one map out of how many? I wanna cry at certain maps as particular killers, but hey. There are offerings to help eliminate some of the RNG of the map selection.

  • Huntress.

All of her strengths have a weakness to compensate. Lethal range? Slower base movement. Hum to replace TR, so that TR perks aren't godly on her. Rewards skilled play, but is somewhat difficult to use effectively. Can shut down some loops easily, but has a "limited" resource to do so. Map pressure in the form of her hum too hat can keep some survivors wary.

And all of this is base kit, and not reliant on other player's skill.

I don't know what people are going on about saying that Hillbilly is. He has virtually no penalty for being bad with his power compared to other killers, and the whole "he's able to be looped" is not a point in that regard because it relies on the skill of your opponent, and is not part of balancing. Oni is a balanced version of Hillbilly because you have to earn the same powers and have them for a limited time.

Yeah, Piggy can do some great comebacks. Her power is more useful late-game.

Half and half. Better off using some at the start just to delay those survivors in the early game and spreading your damage early.

  • Piggy

There is nothing quite like dismantling a team one hook at a time.

People think that they're safe because I'm a "weak" killer. People think I'm not gonna kill them in thr end because I don't tunnel trapped survivors. People think they can just loop me all day.

    They are wrong.

It depends on how early you lunge. If you lunge exactly after landing a blink, then the Lunge will be shorter. If you wait a bit before lunging, it will be longer.

Huh. That'd explain the weird feeling that I get when playing Nurse.
