  • NOED is useful for late-game builds, which the Nightmare's perks are all about.

Fun fact DS is not even a good perk like Ruin but everyone's are using it.

All Hex perks are bad because they can be disabled by the Survivors without the Killer having any say in the matter.

    anther horrible idea.
    another killer nerf.
FFS I'm tired of this BS ._.
    DO THE FREAKIN GENERATORS!!!

    how about stop camping ffs

i camp when i want to camp. You cant do anything about that. But what you can do something about is weather you win the round or die too.
Camping got nerfed several times now, it does not pay off anymore, except with altruistic survivors.
And since you seem to have a problem with letting one person die, so you all run into the killer for some free sacrifices, no one will stop camping, since it pays off 90% of the time.

You do the gens and gtfo -> killer loses -> happens multiple times -> killer stops camping, since it doesnt pay off and all he does is de pip/save pip. also you are out of the camper ranks after some rounds.

You try to rescue the camped person -> killer catches you too -> you both die -> already payed off. now there are still gens left and the killer still has some free time to kill a 3rd.

    maybe you understand this now.

i save when i want to save. You cant do anything about that. But what you can do something about is weather you win the round or cry like a baby killer.
Camping got buffed several times now, it does not pay off anymore, except with altruistic survivors.
And since you seem to have a problem with us survivor speaking up, maybe you should stop camping and move to the next person
You hook the survivor and gtfo -> killer loses -> happens multiple times -> killer stops camping, since it does pay off and all he does is de pip/save pip. also you are out of the camper ranks after some rounds.

    maybe you understand this now.

Except the Killer is supposed to be the power role; not the Survivors, so the Killer actually can do whatever he wants, and can stop the Survivors from doing whatever they want. What you're looking for is a sandbox game, where you can do whatever you want.

While I hate DC's as much as the rest of you we need to remember the involuntary DC's. We don't want players leaving the game after being punished for having a bad connection.

We don't? A decent connection is as much a requirement for proper online PvP as any piece of hardware. If your connection is so bad that you disconnecting involuntarily is a regular occurrence, you are ruining the game for everyone else, and need to play within your own limitations.

  • I posted a suggestion on the Wishlist section that someone else came up with that's similar to this. In that suggestion, the fifth perk slot would be for Hex perks only.

  • There is no counterplay to Sprint Burst, Self Care, Decisive Strike, or Adrenaline.
There are perks that mitigate the effects of Decisive Strike, but nothing that can reliably counter Sprint Burst or Self Care.
Adrenaline, because it gives a Sprint Burst in addition to the healing, isn't countered by NOED or Devour Hope either, the latter of which is often destroyed before the end of the trial.

  • He's better than my performance with him would otherwise indicate, but not top tier either.

They have acknowledged it, as far as I know, but don't try to pretend their behavior is not well above other developers, who'd laugh at your demand for "transparency".

So tired of killers getting away with bullshit exploits that aren’t considered exploits but if a survivor does the tiniest loop he’s a pos. Again I’m not a main on either side but killers can legit exploit dstrike and flashlight saves but if a survivor blocks a hook it’s a problem

Hold on, isnt the flashlight exploit to crash the game used by a survivor?
And how can a killer exploit DS?

By killer exploiting DS I think they mean either the killer dribbling the survivor to a nearby hook which isn't really that big a deal or the killer hitting something while DS is hit to prevent the stun, although I'm pretty sure that one got patched so I have no idea what other exploit their talking about.

Most likely referring to the dribbling which defeats DS without actually having to run any perks to counter it. The flashlight exploit I think they patched. There's another flashlight exploit that beats event the new pickup animation via a script I think. It clicks the flashlight on and off repeatedly and auto aims it at the killer.

There are no perks that counter DS, or most other Survivor perks, for that matter. There are only perks that soften the blow.

Hence they help to counter it aka soften the blow similar to Calm Spirit, it's doesn't make you scream when hit. Yet it doesn't stop the hit, merely softens the blow so you don't scream.

That's not a counter. Mitigating damage is not a counter. A counter would be, for example, Premonition, which counters stealth. It effectively invalidates stealth, because you know the Killer is coming and where he's coming from.

  • It's an unfortunate bug. I get near-instant lobbies as Killer, as do many others. Just wait until the devs patch this.

ORION MEMBER - i can put whatever what i want in my profile, people shouldn't be a di*ks and stream snipe! Simple as that!

Nobody said otherwise. I'm just advising you how to prevent stream sniping. You can also add a delay to your stream. It's your choice whether or not to prevent it, but complaining that "people shouldn't stream snipe" amounts to doing nothing.

  • It's already balanced by putting all the power into the Survivors' hands. If they want to reward or punish it, it's their choice. FYI, what you're suggesting was already tried and abused by Survivors.

  • @Crazy91Girl said:
    And about streaming thing...

I took off "twitch.tv" name, and still getting stream sniped!

If there's absolutely no link to your stream anywhere on your profile, including the list of past nicknames that Steam keeps, then you're not getting stream sniped. You just suck at hiding.

  • Nobody can stream snipe you if you're not advertising your stream in a way that they can see or add a delay to your stream. Just saying.

If that means you DC and it turns into an eight hour hatch standoff, or a 3 gen doc well congrats you just played yourself.

I love her but she's best used with Knock Out. If you hook them then they're likely to be unhooked before a generator pings and their trap becomes active, which gives them plenty of time to get it off.

If you actually use Knock Out, SWF nulifies it immediately which kills the game for you.

Another reason why SWF must be removed.

Just add blind efect addon to trap.

...Which SWF also nullifies because they essentially have wallhacks.

  • I liked an idea from another thread, wherein people who DC'd would lose one perk they had equipped, and so would have to purchase it from the bloodweb again.

  • It's a bug. I have no such problem with queues, and many others don't either.

  • @Badmanone said:
Just take a minute, think about what you said and imagine what will happen if killers can hook from every angle.

Hm... Killers will be able to hook from every angle, thus making it impossible for Survivors to block the hook prompt but still able to bodyblock on the way to the hook?

What I love is that survivors constantly have something to complain about. A killer’s goal is to kill. A survivors goal is to finish gens. How does a killer put a stop to this? He confirms kills. This goes either by him camping or patrolling. There is nothing wrong on both sides. It’s how the game is meant to be played. It’s getting old that every game the after game chat is either a gg or oh you camped, oh you are trash. So on and so fourth. This is coming from someone who plays both sides. The only thing that I ever get annoyed with is when killers face camp with like 4 or 5 gens up.

Camping works because Survivors reward it. It's that simple.

    Use Kindred.

Kindred is trash cuz a Killer can easily go beyond 16m and no one uses it at High Ranked

It would only be a good perk if it has 32 meters, but again this is something which the game should have from the beginning, shouldn't be a perk at all

32 meters is too big, there's a bunch of stuff to be done 32 meters away from the hook, and you shouldn't have the ability to see the Killer 24/7 at that distance. If you want to see the Killer's aura, Kindred is the only way to go. You want to punish camping? Do generators and convince every Survivor to do the same, because until camping stops being rewarded, campers will not go away.

its 8 meters. you can literally just stand 10m and still camp with full view of hook and get there easily in 2 seconds.. waste of a perk slot past rank 15

Read the comment of the person I was replying to instead of assuming I don't know how Kindred works.

I found the perk to be quite useful on my Wraith, but then I run an... unconventional build.

    What's your build?

Insidious (yes, really; you'd be surprised how often it works and how well it works), NOED, Whispers, and Shadowborn (might replace this with something else, though). The idea I had with Insidious was simple: if Survivors don't hear a heartbeat and didn't hear the bell, they think the Wraith isn't there, because nobody would use Insidious on the Wraith. Its inclusion is meant to surprise them in a way they didn't think possible.

Most of my builds are unconventional and intended to turn Survivors' expectations against them.

EDIT: Regarding Bitter Murmur, I sometimes replace either Whispers or Shadowborn with it.

I always suspect an Insidious on any killer, that's why Premonition is so nice to run. It's especially nice against camping Billy's/Leatherfaces. I've even had Wraiths try and use it on me camping a hooked person, I just walked up close enough to be seen and pointed and said follow then walked off.

That was one pissed off Wraith the rest of the map since the other survivors getting close figured it out. Her chased me rest of game and didn't get me until end. He hard camped me till game was over but other 3 got out, I pipped and got flamed afterwards with all sorts of interesting words.

I also run Premonition, along with Dark Sense, Calm Spirit, and Iron Will. Gonna replace Calm Spirit with Urban Evasion, though, for the ultimate stealth build.

  • I know it's not fun. It's happened to me as well. But you know, I don't blame the other guy for capitalizing on my mistakes. That's just what players do in a PvP game.

  • Well, you made a mistake that the Killer decided to capitalize on. The fact that you DC just makes it more rewarding for them. So congrats, you're part of the problem.

  • @samirk98 said:
Do you know what i still not agree with you.. that doesn’t mean i should get camped by brainless dude over nothing i don’t want free escapes sometimes i want to die but by decent killer who not camps not the killers who just stand behind the hook,. Because it’s not fun and started playing as killer...

So you're telepathic and can know the Killer's reason for camping? Awesome! What number am I thinking of?

Fact is, you have no idea what's going on through the Killer's mind, and if he's so bad, as you say, then you're even worse, because he actually caught you.

My respect at least you camped BECAUSE YOU HAD A REASON
i wish devs could ban people who camps at the start of the [BAD WORD] game like for nothing no t bag no flashlight no bm but when got caught getting hard camped literally stupid to the fullnest i don’t even know how to explain..

Taking out one Survivor before even a single generator can be repaired means it's 3 Survivor for 5 generators. There, reason.

The devs aren't going to ban people for the way they play, if they're not exploiting anything. Sometimes you escape, sometimes you don't. You are not entitled to a free unhook just because you were caught early on.

  • @Badmanone said:
the same counts for killer. He can „vacuum“ into safe spots from where its impossible to counter him. He don’t have to roam area and gonna miss the part of the game when picking up and downing is a tactical thing. It’s like another part of it has been stolen. The game could be much more.

The Killer is supposed to be the power role, so that "safe spot" thing doesn't apply.

Do you know what an asymmetrical game is, at all? I already don't believe you've played the game, but now I'm questioning whether you even know what the game is.

  • @samirk98 said:
Maybe next time use “some survivors” or even “most survivors”

I've edited my comment to be more precise.

  • It's not like there was a point where I'd had enough. I simply realized, early on, that vocal Survivors were entitled whiners and would never be satisfied with anything. I've also always played for kills/escapes, with few (lore-related) exceptions.

  • @Badmanone said:
I also could ask, why shouldn’t a survivor be able to sneak into hidings where the killer can’t follow. Like 2 massive rocks. Don’t get me wrong guys. I really want a balanced game for all and I think SC, DS, SB and a few other things need nerfs but we also need to rework killer. Some maps also need to reworked because they are too survivor friendly.

Because that would make them safe spots for Survivors, which should not exist if the game is to be balanced. Your question has now been answered, can you answer mine?

  • @Badmanone said:
Btw I think also grab vacuum is a problem. Even when it’s patched a bit you have still the chance to get a broken positioning like out of pallets. I wouldn’t mind a grab vacuum but it should work like that killer walk to point of middle of survivors body to grab him.

Why should the massive, supernatural-empowered Killer not be allowed to drag a Survivor out of wherever he is?

I dunno, I can usually get off a few ambushes, even at the end of the game.

Her RBTs are weaker than her ambush in my opinion.

Oh, definitely. The only buff they need, IMO, is having them start immediately, with a shorter timer (say, 30 seconds less). The add-on that removes the boxes' highlights can be nerfed to increase the timer, to compensate, and the add-on that currently does that (starts the timer immediately) can be changed to have each completed generator shorten the timer by a set amount (somewhere between 15 and 30 seconds would be ideal, IMO; the exact number would require experimenting and tweaking).

Those were the first two sentences of the comment I quoted.

  • @Badmanone said:
It’s just that you’re talking every single game to buff killers and nerf survivors. That’s just a subjective point of view. That doesn’t help to make the game balanced. That’s why you are the one bullshitting every thread. How are swivel hooks any problem? I never said they don’t have them. How you come to this conclusion? I just said that killers shouldnt get carousel hooks. Means he can hook from different positions that has nothing to do with survivors.

    Your words:
"ok and why should they get carousel hooks? if i follow your logic survivors should have something thats smiliar to it?"

If that's not what you meant to say, then you need to explain yourself better. I'll ignore everything else you said.

  • @Badmanone said:
I don’t wonder that you have to add bullshit again. You don’t even get better rank 10. if you think that downing a survivor means free kill, than he should just die. Something like a free mori. But devs want you to earn your kill on every single step. Means you have to get him to hook, protecting your prey or hunt him again if it’s nessecary. That’s the game and that’s how it’s intended to work. Vacuum hook is a problem like big killer Hitbox and like vacuum pallets was. These things should not work this way.

You're the one adding bullshit. I've made no statements even tangentially related to anything you just said. I literally just said that Survivors have had swivel hooks for a long time, to disprove your claim that they didn't.

lol wut? you wanted vacuum pallet deleted. doing the same to hooks is just fair. hooks are not directional, thats why they are hooks. do you want a carousel or what?

    btw iam main killer.

Hooks are directional for survivors, and not for killers. That's all I say.
If you want "real fairness" without second thinking about actual mecanics, then yeah, removing the vacuum would be nice, and adding directional hooks for killers too.

no why? why would that be fair? look how many hooks you have on map. if you cant get a hook this way youre definately doing something wrong.

That's just applying your logic of "fairness". "If you remove X for survivor, remove it for killers too", so I just say "if you allow X for survivors, allow it for killers too".
If you have trouble accepting that, you're kinda biased in your reasoning, and you just want to nerf one side, simply. There's no "fairness" in that.

ok and why should they get carousel hooks? if i follow your logic survivors should have something thats smiliar to it? even when thats not my logic, i would just prefer to balance it at all and that means it have to be a equal game experience for both sides. i think killers have a safe 95% chance to hook someone. no killer is entilted to free kills. we have to work for it.

Survivors do have swivel hooks. They were introduced a long time ago. Do you even own this game?
