I use the pig more than other killers, I like the ambush with BBQ and the traps give a different objective for survivors so it slows things down a bit more, I’ll usually wait till it’s down to 3 gens before I use the headtraps though.

My strategy is just ambush, down, trap, hook, move on. With Make Your Choice, I often get to down the rescuer and put a trap on them as well. In the mean time, a generator has been fixed, so they're ticking away.

True, but even reasoned discussions are drowned out by whiners. Too often I've asked for clarification on a certain point only to be met with refusal to explain or insults.

Dangerously close to whining yourself there. Post whatever you want. You'll get some legitimate feedback, positive or not. The rest can be easily ignored.

See what I mean? This person didn't even read what I wrote, or they'd know I was referring to me trying to get clarification on ideas posted by others. This is the kind of person with whom conversations are pointless.

The only buff she needs, IMO, is to have her traps trigger immediately upon being placed on a Survivor.

big no no !!! Insta mori: just camp the first jigsaw box around the hook and gg, follow the survivor without watching him till BOOM!

It may work if the trap stops ticking inside the terror radius instead of the pig sight.

Yeah, just waste 2 minutes and 30 seconds making sure a single Survivor can't get the trap off his head. Because that's something Killers can do, they totally have the time.

As Pig I have interrupted people just as they were about to finish a box by downing them and leaving them as slugs lol until they died of the reverse beartrap
Don't do that often, it is very situational if the survivors allow you to do it.

I thought the traps didn't tick when Survivors are in the dying state.

That would be way too OP, I think. It's pretty much just a built in mori at that point, but without the same requirements.

Well, given that it stops ticking if the Survivor is disabled (in the dying state or hooked), I don't think it's too OP.

If they can't do what they want to do, they complain. Killers write guides on how to counter Survivors annoyances, but because those counters are things they don't like to do (stealth, for example), they complain.

Fact is, the Survivors who actually listen to Killer advice find that the advice is very useful in getting them out alive. But by all means, don't let good advice keep you from doing the same thing over and over again, even when it's obvious it doesn't work.

    Thats the thing tho...
98% dont give advice..yeah if I wanna log on to here every single day im sure that I could get some good pointers..
Im talking about the after games where the killers play like complete ######### and yet the survivors are told to get good...
had a killer tell me he was trash with the killer he was using but then told me I was garbage because I got hooked then he camped..
then went ahead and turned it into a its because Im white and Im ignorant...
TOXIC PEOPLE ARE KILLING THE GAME...
    NOT THE DEVS.

Obviously you should always ignore people like that. I mean the ones like myself, who genuinely give out good advice. Survivors don't listen because the advice isn't what they want to hear. They don't want advice on how to deal with their problems; they want advice on how they can do whatever they want, even if it's not possible.

It makes them want to rage quit and smash something if they're bullied by toxic SWF and anyone in general. This game has been going in the right direction ever since BHVR broke away from Starbreeze. As someone who plays both killer and survivor when I play survivor do I like the changes maybe not, but do I agree with them yes everyone should have fun in this game. The only thing I think should be adjusted after the DS and Hatch nerf is the flashlights or addons for the flashlight. Survivors shouldn't have an extra chance unless they're bad at the game.

    Git gud.

Also Killers have their crutches too, but you seem to only want to focus on the survivor ones. Totally not biased I see.

maybe he focuses on them because they are the ones complaining atm? look at the steam reviews from yesterday

Where was he the months before the patch dropped when it was killers doing all the complaining? Not around? That wouldn't surprise me. Anyone who's played this game for more than a few patch cycles should know one or both killers and survivors will ALWAYS be complaining about nerfs.
    Always.

Killers complain about nerfs while being the weaker side. Survivors complain about nerfs while being the stronger side. The two sides are not equal.

    Nobody said they're equal.

So pointing out that Killers complain about nerfs is just a red herring? If not, how does it relate to Survivors complaining about their deserved nerfs?

Lol, no Killer perk is as good as the Survivor perks are.

Feel free to list any Killer perk that's a 'crutch' and I will shoot them down. Go on, I dare you to.

    NoED.

A perk that can be broken before it ever actually sees use, and the only way this perk actually works is if you play like an idiot. Get the totems before you power the last generator, if not, at best one person is going to die from it unless you play badly.

    Keep going.

Well if we're gonna go on your logic flashlights are countered by staring at a wall, no?

Or is it inconvenient for something you disagree with to actually have a counter so you say it's unfair.

Walls are not guaranteed to be everywhere you down Survivors. Some maps (Coldwind Farm maps in particular) have almost no walls to speak of.

    Keep going.

Well now the pick up speed is too fast for a survivor to even get around the killer to flashlight save so...

    Keep going?

Not true, many players have had flashlight saves performed on us and by us. Let's go back to the point, though, which is Killer perks being weaker than Survivor perks. Don't change the subject again.

  • Stop worrying about rank and just play for fun, win or lose.

  • The pallet is not the problem; the loop itself is. The pallet simply allows Survivors to create a safe zone and buys them enough time to go for the next loop. The fix for pallet looping will have to come in the form of hitbox changes.

I'd have to extend the game to 9+ mins doing a 1v1 with the killer and I would have to do at least 2 gens solo and i would have to get chased and escaped chase for 1+ min to get a safety pip at the least without any altruistic points or escaping the map.

Have you ever tried doing that? lol, just to keep ur pip bcuz ur teammates dc'd on you.....

I haven't, because I don't care about pips. I just want to escape.

  • @serabeth90 said:
I think maybe for every person that dcs, survivors get a small haste buff. Nothing huge but enough that they repair/cleanse slightly faster. If 2 people dc, the buff increases. It would not be active in SWF, just random matches.

  • @1Handirl said:

You said you weren't piping because you couldn't get points. I assumed you were losing pips in these games where others DC'd.

  • @1Handirl said:
How can I reset my ranking to play with rank 15-7's? barely any1 dc'd in that area.

Can't. However, given what you've said here, you're headed there anyway, so just keep playing.

  • It doesn't seem like a bad idea to you because you don't play Killer at high ranks. Such a thing would make looping even worse than it already is.

  • @1Handirl said:
So what should I do to avoid getting in games with people who DC?

That's like asking to avoid oxygen molecules. They're in every multiplayer game. You're just going to have to learn to deal with it.

  • @MegMain98 said:
I mean EVERY SINGLE update in the game has been killer buffs and survivor nerfs. In the beginning, I will agree survivors were overpowered, especially before bloodlust. Although with each killer buff patch, how many more can we get before killers become extremely OP? Sure some killers probably will never be OP (Freddy/Wraith) but some DO NOT need any buffs (Billy/Nurse/Huntress/Myers). Survivors don’t exactly need a buff but killers really don’t either. The game is not supposed to hold your hand as you try and hook survivors, you will not get a 4K every single round. Decisive Strike is a survivor crutch but with that nerf coming in soon and all the killer buffs, there isn’t a need to complain about decisive strike. I just don’t want to game to be SO MUCH in the killers hands were the survivors have no chance of escape even with a bad killer. Trust me, I don’t want it easy as a survivor but they need somewhat of a chance of escape.

You have not played the game since the start. Check the patch notes on the wiki if you want to know how hilariously wrong you are.

  • @1Handirl said:
I'm not blaming the killers for anything. I only stated what they do. How would sfw abuse this? Think about it.... 2 people DC' those 2 ppl lose 3 pips each. The remaining 2 shouldn't lose a pip and be given a safety pip unless they did what is required to gain a pip regularly. I see no way to abuse this.

Because they DC in an exploitative manner that does not cause them to lose pips. That's why you see it so often in high ranks - they don't want to drop in rank nor give the Killer the kill.

  • This isn't Heroes of the Storm, man. Do you mean Killer?

  • I like them, but pallet looping occurs primarily before the pallet is dropped. Very rarely do Survivors vault over a pallet after looping and dropping it.

  • First of all, don't blame Killers for doing their job. Many of us used to go easy on Survivors with multiple DCs, and we got nothing but abuse from them as a reward. You can blame your fellow Survivors for Killers not going easy on you.
Second of all, this would be incredibly easy for SWF to abuse.

  • I don't get Survivors. They DC when slugged, as you said, but also try to wiggle free when you want to carry them to hooks. Make up your mind, Survivors!

  • @only1biggs said:

Can't one-shot what you can't see, and he'd get the TR back as soon as he so much as glanced at a Survivor - even if he didn't realize it. You could use the same triggers as his stalking mechanic to discern whether or not a Survivor was in his FOV.

I guess, but, you can see the pig right? So her power becomes meaningless with your suggestion. Myers it won't affect much, and Wraith...? I just don't see it working

You can see the Pig, but the idea is to sneak up on Survivors through tall grass and whatnot - at least that's how I do it.
The Wraith doesn't have the same advantage, what with him being ridiculously tall, even by my standards. For the Shape, he might not benefit from it at EW I, but at EW II and EW III...

  • @only1biggs said:
You think? I just suggested it for you in the other thread :'D

It should be an addon. Wraith has two addons that are good, the rest suck. Give him more options

Yes, I think. What, did you think I hadn't had this idea before your comment? I'll give credit where it's due, like the fifth perk slot for Hex perks only, but this is an old idea. Most likely, I was not even the one who first came up with it.

I don't think it should be an add-on. Right now the Wraith sucks at one thing, and that's capitalizing on the surprise factor his ability gives him. This would allow him to capitalize on that factor. Other Killers, like the Hillbilly, can benefit from their abilities to catch Survivors. The Wraith cannot.

  • This sounds like a step in the right direction towards balancing solo players and SWF.

  • The Wraith's ability is to go invisible, and the Pig's is primarily to set up an ambush at the cost of decreased movement speed and FOV. They'd still be relevant. The Wraith thing you said is another topic of discussion, which I'll open now.
