One out of five female Killers moves at default speed (115%, or 4.6 m/s). All the others move more slowly. One out of eight male Killers moves below default speed, and his power allows him to get a permanent boost in speed. Do you really have to be so pedantic as to ignore the bigger picture?

    Nurse literally ignores game mechanics.

The Nurse's power allows her to bypass terrain, just like every other Killer power allows them to do something the others can't (invisibility for the Wraith, no terror radius for the Pig, etc.). She can still be stunned, blinded, juked, and so on.

You misses the point. I’m saying nurse is really strong, he’s saying that their speed isn’t because of good abilities, and that their abilities are bad. (Spirit is who he’s mainly referring to.)

I get your point. I'm just trying to make sure you don't spread misinformation about the Nurse.

It's a bug; it's not a lie. A lie would be to say that the DLC contains a perk for each side that gives that side an instant win.

I know it's not a "lie" but if it isn't disclosed until someone buys the game and finds out themselves, well it's probably too late to refund. Plus it's so inconsistent that should I even bother taking the risk using it? But that means I can only use 2 perks from the new survivor (since my stupid internet won't allow me to host as killer).

If every publisher and developer spent time listing bugs with their games and expansions, there wouldn't be any time to fix the bugs. Assume that all software has bugs (because it does) and you won't be disappointed later in life.

I never played Huntress when she was viable, so I only just started playing her recently. God is she useless in my opinion. The nerf must have been pretty bad because I can’t hit those hatchets if my life depends on it, and survivors always start running before I’m even visible because of the humming. I’m a Rank 2 killer so it could just be the survivors making it hard for me?

It was a hitbox change that had unforeseen consequences. Namely, that the hatchets now miss Survivors even when they quite clearly shouldn't, whereas the opposite happened before.

  • Support the small, non-toxic ones so that they can be featured as well. Despite what people might say, everyone knows that only big streamers get featured, so help the better ones grow. Be a part of the solution, instead of being part of the complainers.

  • The game is intended to be balanced around 4 perk slots. Introducing more for both sides would break it, given how powerful the Survivor perks are.

  • Everyone dies, unless 2/3 people disconnected/gave up, in which case the last one gets the hatch. If the hatch is not available, they get to do as many generators as they'd like and leave without a care in the world.

I don't run Self Care, nor do I want it. I'd rather avoid a chase than need a crutch like that.

I'm the same but BBQ, Whispers, Spies and some other things make it more difficult to play completely stealthy. Throw in Doctor who you still stand up and scream with Calm Spirit III (Doctor match at Rank 1 this am).

Then throw in the teammates that bring a killer to you either by accident or on purpose or the killer just magically comes to your location. (This despite the fact there's not a gen anywhere close to you and the gens are all blowing up on other side of map.

Take out Franklins Demise and killers lobby dodging the moment they see more than 1 or 2 medkits I'll stop running SC. I also tend to play mostly solo q but do play swf occasionally. But if I stop running SC then I bring something else and then some killers will complain about that.

Yeah, Calm Spirit needs to be fixed. If it's meant to counter the Doctor's power, you shouldn't stand up, period.

Whispers is having a fair change (reduced range the fewer Survivors remain on the map - at least last I heard).

Spies From The Shadows only activates 75% of the time, meaning Calm Spirit counters it perfectly. Besides, it's better to just keep an eye out for crows as Killer, and as a Survivor you can always just crouch (I swapped out Calm Spirit for Urban Evasion because of that mechanic; personally, I find it works better).

Lobby dodging will never go away completely, but it can be mitigated through balance changes. Like disconnecting, that's really the best you can hope for - minimizing the problem.

  • I don't run Self Care, nor do I want it. I'd rather avoid a chase than need a crutch like that.

Edit: Also Sole Survivor does literally nothing since Rancor isn't aura reading.

I get rancor a lot and I don't run any obsession perks as survivor. It also favors me over the others with DS or whatsoever.

I usually just sneak as much as I can and stay out of the killers terror radius or try my best to pay attention to their location.

... I thought a survivor with an obsession perk will always get picked over someone who doesn’t have one? That’s what it used to be at least

Apparently not always. A obsession perk only increases the chance to be the obsession, but it is not a definitive.

Huh. Must increase it by a ton then. I know if a survivor has an obsession perk but killer doesn’t it’s girenteed. So it must be the killer perk that throws it off. Kinda dumb, given rancor is good for countering DS.

    I'm fairly certain that's a bug.

Not really. Otherwise the perk description of survivor perks would actively mention that you are the obsession for sure. It only increases to be the obsession. If the killer has a obsession perk, a survivor with no obsession perks has the possibility to be the obsession.

That's why it says it increases the chance to be the killer's obsession, but it's not guaranteed. The word Increases is the main factor. It is not a 100% chance if other survivors have a obsession perk or if the killer is running one.

My understanding is that if one or more Survivors have Obsession perks, then they and only they will be the Obsession, no matter what perks the Killer has. We should ask the devs about this.

This is the sentence of every survivor perks: "Increases your chance to be the Killer's Obsession."

It says specifically increases and the way it's worded is very clear. It does not say you are for sure the obsession. So if the killer has a obsession perk and the rng decides to not pick the survivor with a obsession perk, it might take someone with no obsession perk.

Calm Spirit also doesn't say birds will fly away if you step on them (although it's obvious, IMO). Perks don't always reflect the full nature of a mechanic. IIRC, the devs intended for it to work in the way I mentioned.

  • My best moment was when the gates were powered and open and one of two remaining Survivors (besides myself) was being taken to the hook. This was way back when NOED hadn't been castrated and turned into a hex perk, mind you, so the Killer was, naturally, using it.

When he walked past me carrying the other Survivor, I tried to unhook myself, because why not. Not only did I manage to do so, but I managed to survive and unlocked the associated achievement. I felt kinda bad because the other Survivor, the one he was carrying, had protected me on more than one occasion, but I wasn't about to face NOED.

  • @DarkWo1f997 said:
@Orion no I’ve been playing her for two weeks straight at Rank 1. I’ve got her down to the T but the grass is a problem, if you play on Lerie’s and then play literally any other vegetation map, there’s a huge notice in viability in crouching.  They can see you, but you can’t see them.  I’ll often approach gens and still they see me and dart, I didn’t even get to see a fraction of them. Damn grass is annoying.

I've got no problems knowing where I am and where the Survivors are. I also approach from behind cover. Mind, I do play at relatively low ranks, but being able to know where you yourself are is not affected by rank.

  • A slowly developing third person view sounds OK, but I also suggest you practice more with the Pig. I have a poor sense of orientation, yet I experience no such problems (except on Coldwind Farm maps, but then the corn confuses me no matter which Killer I'm playing).

  • Survivors can be impatient at times and may believe the lobby is bugged (happens from time to time, but it happens because they hop around in lobbies, ironically enough).

that has happened 0 times my dude, they hear that locker noise and go for the locker.

Well, duh. He's talking about when you're being chased and go in the locker instead of the window. You were also talking about when you were being chased, in your OP. Did you forget?

  • @lyric said:
    Yea, prepare to dodge

Instead they DC at the start of the trial, making Survivors lose their offerings. I've only recently started to use offerings as Survivor because I'm always concerned some ######### is going to make the Killer DC, rendering my offering useless.

  • @Vietfox said:
I dont care because i set my loadout (as a survivor and as a killer) before creating the lobby and press ready as soon as i get there. Stop being afraid of survivors loadouts and enjoy the game.

It's not about fear, it's about preparation. That time is supposed to be for the Killer to prepare for any items and perks the Survivors might bring. Instead, it's being exploited by Survivors to disadvantage the Killer.

  • I wish we could nerf infinite, self-sustaining heals, but the majority of Survivors are either implicitly or explicitly in favor of keeping their objectively and demonstrably broken perks/mechanics.

For Killers to be scary you'd have to take away the majority of notifications, but SWF just shits on that anyway, and Survivors don't want to lose SWF either. Alternatively, you could buff Killers to the point that chases don't last longer than 30 seconds under the best conditions, but the same problem arises - Survivors don't want that.

  • @ZombieGenesis said:
I don't really see that as a problem I guess. And with certain perks it may still lead to a down since the killer may have a super fast cooldown on his successful attack.

Guaranteed safe unhooks and stacking BP bonuses with a single perk are not a problem?

  • @ZombieGenesis said:
IMO they should just combine WGLF and Borrowed Time. I always hated the name of Borrowed Time and I think it fits better as part of WGLF. This way both parties get something. The rescuer gets a stack and the rescued gets extra time to live.

I don't think stacks need to be easier when I run WGLF as a survivor I never had any problems getting my stacks. It may take some sacrifice, taking a hit for a survivor during a chase and becoming the target, but I get them pretty much every time.

The problem with that is that Borrowed Time guarantees all unhooks are safe unhooks, since the unhooked Survivor can't be put in the dying state quickly enough.

Welcome to my world. Back in the Steam forum, I was somehow both a Killer main and a Survivor main, depending on which buffs/nerfs I supported. Here I'm a Killer main (because profile picture) and my comments supporting Survivors just get ignored. It's really quite something, the way some people think they know all about you from a profile picture.

I'm always a killer main, even when I want buffs for stealth, places when you can juke, but not loop, places where you can hide etc.

    You know why?

Because so called "survivor mains" are skilles, entitled bunch of kids. They can't stealth in this game, because "ID IZ NOD WORGING, YO WUNT ME TO RAN IN STRGHT LINE", and when I tell them, there are other perks than holy trinity + occasional BT, they call me a "killer main". I'm a killer main even when I want buffs for stealth for them, but not for loops, that they love so much.

    And you know what?

I prefer to be called a "killer main", than "survivor main", because the second "title" would be ridiculing for me. Despite I play 50/50, despite I see imbalance on both sides (but to be honest, killers have it way tougher in this game), I'm still a filthy killer main. And I'm fine with it, at least killers behave like humans, not bunch of wild dogs.

Well put, but now the "both sides do it"/"not all Survivors/Killers" brigade will storm the thread. Because it's better to pretend both sides are equal than just face the problem that one side really is more toxic than the other.

Not saying force it on everyone, but 360 view kills the immersion of tension. 360 cancels out almost all environmental obstacles ; can see around corners and over objects, the fog might as well not exist because your looking down on it instead of through.

    Again, would appreciate the option.

let me guess, your a killer main complaining about the different view for killers and survivors, for example, if survivors were in first person doing generators would be staring at machine parts not being able to see if the killer is behind you, they did this because it helped balance the killer from survivors, killer sees in first person because it helps survivors not to be seen from any angle making you look in different directions, survivors are third so they can avoid the killer easier and atleast have a chance, this would also prevent 360 jukes from occurring if survivors were in first person

OP is literally just asking for the option - something that would not be forced on everyone. Did you even read the thread past the title?
