Try to use Predator and Stridor (Bloodhound?). The main idea is to track survs by their scratch marks, moans and blood. It becomes ridiculously easy to do with these perks and decent earphones. Also you can try to mindgame injured surv in the pallet if you want. The thing is, the surv doesn't see you but you can hear them and see their scratch marks and blood. This is a very huge advantage about the Spirit

I think you haven't played the Spirit.

My words sound obvious but actually explain a reliable strategy. You know what? I think ppl should stop complaining about nothing and start getting good. They don't want to learn the new killer, they just want easy win every match. I 4K every game I play using this tactic btw.

If you would play the Spirit, you would know, that she can;t see blood while using her power.

I just said it's possible to track survs by blood using Bloodhound, but I don't run it at all and prefer Stridor instead. I know she is not able to see the blood by default. Bet there was a misunderstanding.

"The main idea is to track survs by their scratch marks, moans and blood.", "The thing is, the surv doesn't see you but you can hear them and see their scratch marks and blood. This is a very huge advantage about the Spirit.", no, there was no misunderstanding, you were just lying and now you are retreating. Stop pretending that you play her, because you do not even know how she works.

And who knows? Maybe you? Dude you are very funny. Everyone knows how she works, but not everyone plays her the way devs want her to be played like. All ppl can do is complain and ask for buffs, because MAN IT'S NOT EZZZZZ TO PLAY HER ANOTHER TRASH KILLER GOOD JOB SO FAR

Don;t dodge, like a typical survivor. You got catched on your lie, and you went batshit.

This becomes kinda boring. Maybe you want at least tell me where I lied?

Read my previous comments, the same ones, that you quoted.

It's really hard to explain you where you're wrong in foreign language (in english in this case) but I'm still gonna try to.

I played the Spirit for around 20 hours already and know how she works. Her ability allows her to track survivor movements by scratch marks, moans and even blood (if you run Bloodhound). So, I have no idea what makes you think that I'm lying (really, where am I doing this? xD) and 'pretending to play her'. She is good at where she is now, but I don't mind some tweaks here and there. I don't want other killers be, as you said, weak. Guess you're thinking that I'm one of these 'dirty survivor mains' but I'm actually not. I main both sides :)

I've played Spirit for ~30 hours in PTB, now I have her P3-50 with all perks, spend next ~30 hours on her, and she is weak.

Also your lies discredited all your further arguments.

I don't ask you how much time you spent playing Spirit, I ask you where I am lying and still wait for the answer. But I see you're ridiculously stubborn. Well, it seems like I will never know. How disappointing :(

I sais check out the comment, where I pointed out where you were lying, but you are still pretending "ooooo, waiting where I was lying ;<<<<".

Sorry, maybe I'm blind, but I can't find any lies on my side. I just posted my own harmless guide in the topic 'Spirit Guides' and then I was accused of lying. I didn't even argue anything, but you say 'my lies discredit all my arguments'. Lmao, what... You have so narrow perception of word 'lie'. Such feeling that even you don't know now why you accused me of lying.

My god, do I really need to copy it for you again?

"The main idea is to track survs by their scratch marks, moans and blood.", "The thing is, the surv doesn't see you but you can hear them and see their scratch marks and blood. This is a very huge advantage about the Spirit.",

You pretend you play Spirit, and "4k everytime", but in fact you don't. If you would, you would know that she can't see blood. But you heard that she can see blood (she copuld in PTB), and you did not know it got fixed. You, instead, saw that reasonable people want her to be buffed, because she is weak, so you, and many others, started to pretending like if she is good, because "you can 4k everytime with her", which is a lie, because you don't even know how she works. And if you do not even know how she works, therefore you can't "play her".

I said I know she can't see blood (only with BH, which I also mentioned), but you replied to it with 'no misunderstanding, you're still lying'. Considering this, all your further thoughts automatically become irrelevant. But you're still saying I'm lying. Good job m8, you can continue if you want.

Are you playing on PC? I'd like to test BH, see if you're for real.

They just need to give WGLF reversed aura reading compared to BBQ.

Your friends deserve the best protection, unlocks potential in one's Aura reading ability. After unhooking a Survivor, the killer is revealed to the unhooked Survivor for 4 seconds when they are closer than 10/20/30 metres from the Killer.

Each time you rescue or take a hit to protect a Survivor, gain 25 % stackable bonus to all Bloodpoint gains up to a maximum of 50/75/100 %.

If the Killer is that close, chances are they're plainly visible anyway.

And those opinions were deemed useless with comments like "she's only been out for x time", "we tested it internally and thought it would be to strong", "she's a high skill killer, you just have to learn her", etc. From the devs...

I mean, why have a PTB in the first place,  if you ignore the opinions of the players?

The PTB is primarily to find bugs. I can hardly blame them for ignoring knee-jerk reactions, but at the same time, Killers and people who play both sides have a good track record when it comes to ascertaining whether something is powerful or not.

  • Nobody thought she's make it into the top 5. Fact is, Killers, people who play both sides, and even some Survivors had been warning the devs that she was weak as hell and needed buffs.
EDIT: Naturally, biased Survivors made it seem like she was too powerful, but biased people can hardly be trusted to be objective about anything.

Last I checked you're the one that brought up rank as a measurement of skill.

All I'm saying is that there are more cons then pros to ranking up in this game.

One of them, yes. You're more likely to find opponents of your skill level if you don't derank than if you do. That's one of the reasons why people shouldn't derank.

And all I'm saying is that the system can't work if people abuse it.
It's like driving. You have people on the far left lane who cut across 2 lanes of traffic because they want to go to the far right lane and vice-versa, causing massive back-ups behind them, whereas if they'd just gone to the lanes they actually wanted/needed, traffic would flow more easily.

Rank can't work while people intentionally derank, no matter what the devs do. If the streamers don't like their rank then they can stop playing well.

Getting big nowadays is equal parts luck and budget. Some of them may be good at the games they play, but so are a bunch of other people who stream and have had little to no success.

I´d say it has also something to do with the way a streamer plays and interacts with the viewers.

It's easier to appeal to simpletons than people with common sense.

    That's why clickbait works.

It's also why such streamers have no actual value and should not be considered as examples for anything other than irresponsible propagation of toxicity.

That's why developers need to start uplifting small streamers. Big ones already get enough from their money trees viewers.

...This is Dead by Daylight we're talking about.

You mentioned that ranking was easy. Basically anyone can hit high ranks with enough playtime. So this games ranking system doesn't signify skill at all.

So if its doesn't represent skill, doesn't give you rewards and every time you do rank up, lobbies become longer then usual, then whats the point in ranking up, when you can get more lobbies, more blood-points and more iridescent shards at lower ranks?

Basically, at this stage, there is no benefit.

Yep. Just did a round at the farm with the Hag and running tier 3 NOED and the doors couldn't have been more far apart than they were. I'd hook one and down another near the other door and the hooked one is rescued, etc. etc until both doors were fully opened. And this was with iron grasp too but it was a no win situation for me unless I were to camp.

That's why you camp when you want to win. 90% of the time it's the right thing to do.

Camping when the gates are open or if you are getting crushed is fine i guess, but it ruins the game when the killer only goes for one-hooks, and it doesn't help this toxic environment we are sitting in right now.

Camping is an intended playstyle. OP's suggestion is inherently flawed. Stop trying to punish camping and start thinking about how to reward not camping.

Not sure why bigger streamer that wants to play instead of sitting in lobby = toxic either. Odd :/

The issue is the rank system in general and it needs to be drastically changed or outright removed. Otherwise, lobby simulator.

What are your thoughts on the spirit?

Here's my take on her after exclusively playing her since her release and already having her at P3:

Firstly, I think the nerfs after the PTB were unnecessary.

You now can hear when she is using her power and know exactly where she is due to directional cues. Survivors can't tell if she is using her power only if they are within 8 meters of her husk. In my opinion you should not be able to tell that at all.

She was already quite bad and I think this nerf was unjustified, she is all about jumpscares and mindgames anyway to those nerfs really hurt her and got rid of the scare factor.

I also think her base kit should be better but her addons should be nerfed to make up for it.

Like faster activation of her power, longer duration, speed and recovery and a bit longer sprint after phase walking by default. She is really addon dependant which isn't good.

I also think she should be able to use her ability as long as she has charges. Having to wait 20 seconds for the ability is such a bad thing. If you mess up your prediction of the ability you have to wait a long time until you can use it. The long cooldown of her ability really punishes her if she misses. Other killers have 'forgiving' abilities without cooldowns but if you fail to make a read with the spirit you get punished really hard.

In addition, she should lose sight of survivors if she has channeled the bar of her power completely, not at the start of the channel.

Also, her ultra rare Ring addon is super bad. Not being able to see scratch marks is never worth it for the faster speed in phase walk. You are better off using any other addon for more speed or something else. The "tremendously increased movement speed" just isn't worth it because of the downside of not seeing scratch marks.

IMO it should be reworked to allow the spirit to pass through pallets and windows when using her phase walk. Or just give her faster activation time and lunge after coming out of phase combined with more passive phasing. Kinda like the purple amulet addon that does more things at once. And please get rid of not being able to see scratch marks when using this addon

Also, her 'passive phasing addons' should get an additional active effect like faster recovery or something else because these addons really don't feel impactful on their own (tested it in KYF) and you don't see their impact when playing as the Spirit.

Whats your opinion about the spirit?

so make her op and be able to always fake the power going around a pallet? literally if you cant hear her power then how will you know if she is going around the pallet or just sitting thier waiting?

    You run and find out.

"Well, the Killer's slugged everyone, but we all managed to recover to 95% and will thus be able to wiggle free and help everyone else back up."

Here's what would actually happen, from the Killer's perspective:
"Well, I managed to slug everyone, but it took a while and they're all at 95% recovery. Thanks to that Survivor buff, I'll just let them bleed out."

It also comes with a big disadvantage in the form of not being able to sprint, lest you use it prematurely. Giving it different conditions, like you propose in your OP, would be a blatant buff to it; not a nerf or a rework.

    hacking on console? you sure?

Yes you can hack on consoles and it's a lot more common than people think. The console makers want people to think they're hack proof same as Apple to sell more products.

^This. Consoles are just downgraded PCs. Don't let the propaganda fool you - they're very hackable/crackable.

The devs forget to think of a way to bann people when they ported this game, kinda ridiculous eh?

Actually it's not the devs fault, they can't ban on sony's platform without their permission. They're currently trying to work out an agreement to be able to ban that way. But unless and until Sony stops being so greedy and proprietary it isn't going to happen.

Sounds easy enough. Just change Japanese society as a whole and wait several generations until those with a different mindset have had the chance to reach a position within Sony from which they're able to effect policy changes.

Because like SJWs, you don't check your facts before make Looney toon 'injustice' statements

One out of five female Killers moves at default speed (115%, or 4.6 m/s). All the others move more slowly. One out of eight male Killers moves below default speed, and his power allows him to get a permanent boost in speed. Do you really have to be so pedantic as to ignore the bigger picture?

There's no issue here. The reason they have slower base movement speeds is to make up for their abilities. The Huntress has range, the Nurse has a blink, the hag has teleportation, the Spirit has her phase, and the Pig moves at base speed. And funny enough, the Nurse is the strongest killer in the game and the Hag and Huntress are viable. You can argue that the Spirit is weak, but so are Freddy and Leatherface and they've sucked for a while now. Billy moves at base movement speed and has a speed boost as well as an insta-down, but I believe that they released him like that because all killers moved the same at the time. The Nurse is still stronger than he is. I think claiming that the devs are sexist for how they design female killers is silly. Honestly, the male killers have had it worse. Freddy is terrible, Leatherface is terrible, before his buff, Trapper wasn't that good and neither was the Wraith. The only top-tier male killer is Billy. The others are Nurse, Huntress, and Hag.

I'm not saying there's an issue, I'm just pointing out the pedantry.
