I encounter this in high ranked play a lot. The one silver lining is that when it’s not SWF every now and then I’ll get a message from a solo survivor saying how much fun they had and thanking me for giving them a fun match; survivors like this are literally what keep me playing this game.
-
As long as they have actually learned that killers shouldn’t be nerfed as soon as somebody gets annoyed then we’re making progress lolOrion said:@xxDeAd_SiLeNcE said:

I see. Could be a while before she’s fixed then because we’ve been asking for the Freddy rework for a while now and it’s taking forever; however, it seems like an easy fix so it could come before that.Orion said:@xxDeAd_SiLeNcE said:
I never played Huntress when she was viable, so I only just started playing her recently. God is she useless in my opinion. The nerf must have been pretty bad because I can’t hit those hatchets if my life depends on it, and survivors always start running before I’m even visible because of the humming. I’m a Rank 2 killer so it could just be the survivors making it hard for me?It was a hitbox change that had unforeseen consequences. Namely, that the hatchets now miss Survivors even when they quite clearly shouldn't, whereas the opposite happened before.

I disagree. Spirit fury works amazingly with enduring. Haunted Ground is a godsend for hex builds. Rancor works well with exposed or obsession builds.

I don’t see how standing next to a hatch and taunting before picking up a slugged survivor is any different from them teabagging a killer. Intimidation/trolling isn’t a rare phenomenon in multiplayer games lol

Hard Camping is very similar to face camping; instead of standing directly in front of the hook, you circle in close proximity around it which could of course have a gen right next to it. Nobody should do this. A soft camp is patrolling a fairly wide area around a hook. When survivors leave the last 3 gens close together, it can be literally impossible to avoid soft camping. Soft camping/patrolling is completely fine.
Most killers I know play very fairly, and it is usually survivors that need to think about how they play. Of course there will be the odd hard camper and tunnelling douchebag but it’s not overwhelming, especially at higher ranks. -
Most of my rules have already been listed here, and I still get trash messages from Rank 2 Survivors 😆
Soft camps because I know there are people around the hook; gets message saying I’m a camping scrub even though I patrolled the area of 3 Gens bunched up and pretty close to the hook.
Gotta love survivor mains eh? -
Remember that you entered this discussion disrespectfully. . .jakeb_1993 said:At since this forum is 98% killer, this is going to hurt you alot.
There is no such thing as looping or an infinite loop. It is mathematically impossible. Let me break down nice and easy for you:
Lets say that a survivor has a base speed of 'n'
Since killers are faster we will say that the killers speed is 'n+1'
Given that they are both running around the same obstacle the length of 'l' is the same for both killers and survivors.
Since they both cover the same ground 'n+1=l' occurs before 'n=l'
This doesn't even begin to cover bloodlust which adds 'an extra +1 to speed for all three tiers resulting in +4'
So what about Windows?
Since survivors rarely go through the vaults at full speed and the fact hat killers can lunge attack through the vaults then looping is impossible. Either one of two things will happen: the survivor gets hit and then sprints away or the survivor successful vaults and the attack misses (Rarely happens due to broken hit boxes and whatnot but that's another argument for another day).
Plus if a survivor really wants to 'loop' a window then they can only loop twice before getting shut off. So again. Not a valid argument.
So onto Pallets:
Pallets disrupt 'l' to slow the killer down.and yes, technically it is possible to run around and cause a semi-permaent loop. I say semi cause here is the thing: You can break pallets. Shock horror. So looping around pallets for 'infinite' is impossible.
Please just stop getting salty over the fact that you keep losing mind games to survivors. If you keep running in one direction you will catch them or they will break the loop. Simples. Not hard. I break them all the time. I would say 'Git Gud' like you say to everyone else on here, but tbh I think for you salty lot on these forums 'good' is a bit of a stretch of your abilities.
For somebody who thinks they are so mathematically adept and condescending you sure don’t know much. Almost every survivor player admits that there are double pallets, double windows, and quasi-infinite looping spots. The fact that you think Leatherface needs to be nerfed proves you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about, and also invalidates most of the points you’ve been making; let me make this nice and simple for you: you have zero credibility at this point. Also, if I was always losing mind games to survivors then I wouldn’t be playing in high ranks at all. There is no salt here; the game favouring survivors is something I think is fairly obvious. You sound like you’re salty that killers have opinions about the game that conflict with yours.
As far as your calculations go, the amount of confounding variables you haven’t even considered is astounding; hitboxes, perks, double pallets, line of sight, etc. Believe me, the last thing I want is a massive survivor nerf; I still want it to be challenging, I just think the generation algorithms need to be actually changed rather than some BS tweak. If people won’t admit there’s a problem, then it will never be solved.
The final point is something I want to repeat: every single rank 1-5 survivor player that I know admits that killers are at a disadvantage. Yes, mind games can be won, which is why killers actually get to higher ranks, but there are underlying design problems which put killers at a natural disadvantage. We’re not posting here for your opinion on it, because it’s a fact.

There are moments I agree with this (high ranked survivors in my experience almost always body block because they know the griefing system doesn’t do jack ****) but overall this is a terrible idea as others have said above. If the reason for this idea isn’t so much ping but more the fact that higher ranks are toxic af, then there’s not much you can do. Devs just need to figure out a way to quit giving in to whining survivor mains and actually punish them for exploiting the game; devs seem to be fine with fixing face camping killers by making unhooking work from more directions but if a survivor is toxic then killers just have to deal with it apparently. I call BS on that.
-
I understand that traps don’t materialize out of thin air, and I also understand chainsaws don’t have unlimited fuel, nor do traps automatically arm themselves, nor does a douchebag standing in front of your feet stop you from hooking above you, nor does a generator with no wires power 2 gates across the map. This game doesn’t exactly go for realism, so that’s a non-sequitur; apparently the ingredients the clown uses to mix a new batch “materialize” out of thin air and so do the bottles).
While I appreciate you pitching some ideas, the problem with them is that they aren’t good enough to actually make him viable. If the argument against what I’ve proposed is that it isn’t realistic enough then you’re missing the point. The reason that system works on huntress is because it’s an active ability she can pretty much guarantee, whereas the trapper’s is passive.
-
The trapper is my favourite hands down, but he just isn’t viable in high ranked play. I made a thread about a possible semi-rework that could immediately bring him out of bottom tier.
-
Meh, I feel like people are voting based on effectiveness rather than how cool they are. If we were all smart, we would all vote Freddy so he gets fixed 🤨
-
Fantastic job!
-
I’d like to know what all these people complaining about killers being overpowered are smoking. Play killer in the higher ranks and it will be survivors you’ll be complaining about 😆
-
Uh, maybe because it doesn’t do jack ****? The idea that killers shouldn’t receive any speed buff perks, yet it’s okay for survivors to heal themselves, have a free hit on unhook, and loop to infinity and beyond, is ridiculous imo. Anyone at high ranks knows full well what the deal is when it comes to which side has the advantage.jakeb_1993 said:Killers already have the speed advantage Why buff their speed anymore? -
You’ve clearly have no clue what goes on past rank 10. If you did, you wouldn’t be complaining about killers being too strong. The game is heavily weighted in the favour of survivors at high ranks because the game is unfortunately balanced for low ranks.
-
I think we’re all tired of survivors complaining about the already disadvantaged killers. Literally move in any direction and if the killer is poor at tracking the lunge will miss.
-
Long-time player here! Here’s the deal:
You’re going to get a lot of survivor mains giving you hell for what you’ve said. Why? Because they like to whine about the killer lunge, tunneling, camping, and slugging, yet when they do infinite loops and body block it’s apparently completely fine.
Anyone who isn’t in denial knows that the game favours survivors; the devs admitted this on stream. If the killer isn’t seen as a threat then there’s not really any point in playing at all. I’m usually at Killer Rank 4-8 and the survivors you start to get at this point are ridiculous. I’m body blocked about every game at this point by 3 people; I hit one survivor while carrying, they rotate, I hit the next one, rotate, I hit the next one, survivor being carried then escapes. Oh I almost forgot! They all have self-care! Don’t even get me started on looping. . . This is just one example of the BS us killers have to deal with in high ranks.
The answers “play nurse” or things of that nature are a waste of breath. You shouldn’t be forced to a particular play style, build, or killer to win. Killer is no longer about skill when it comes to winning. It’s about survivors messing up; this rarely happens at high ranks.
All of this I see as obvious facts, but for the sake of the folks who will inevitably knock on my back door, I will say “In my opinion.” 🤷🏻♂️
