Good thing this doesn't work. 4 man SWF already have too many advantages, can't be taken under a pallet would be a little too much

I'd easily rather take someone memeing these 2 perks over a variety of others.

Avoiding Damage is technically the purpose of all exhaustion perks.

Also, what is the wrong aspect of the perk according to you?

Avoiding damage as is using it to not be hit at close range. To dodge a hit once.

The wrong aspect of the perk isn't that. Because of the servers if you use dead hard as intended, you are quite likely to end up exhausted on the ground. The wrong aspect is using it to not avoid a hit but to create distance to get to a pallet/vault that otherwise wouldn't have been possible.

  • The perk is supposed to be for avoiding damage not making distance. You're complaining about the wrong aspect of the perk.

I bought it, but seven dollars is nothing to me and I play the game enough to warrant it. (Even though I'm casual.)

It gives the orange shirt cosmetic to Elodie. This combined with her orange hair and black pants has made me call her the Pumpkin survivor.

    This pleases me.

Can you post a screenshot of the cosmetic? I can't find one. Gonna be the deciding factor in whether I use shards or not.

Toth has a completely different purpose. Its for protecting you totems and stacks that you've accumulated.

Yes that's its purpose. Protecting the totems which should mean having aura reading built in. Undying doesn't need aura reading on top of multiple chances. Its not hard to understand. The fix to the issue is very clear, why ignore the obvious?

  • @HellDescent said:

Yet nobody wants to run small game or detectives hunch. It's used in most of the games, so wouldn't it makes sense to use one of those perks? People wanted a meta shift - well here it is. Or do you need those perk slots for ds, unbreakable, dead hard and deliverance?

People do. They also got maps. Undying practically replaces Thrill of the Hunt with multiple chances is the problem. It is a balance issue and defeats the purpose of ToTH existing. I imagine its not touched to encourage people to buy Blight DLC.

I think the developer lost the plot again after a few months of good content. They are releasing a killer who genuinely is a bad design and bad gameplay all around. Ill put her down there with legion in my opinion. On top of that they're doing a clown rework when they know killers like wraith, trapper, and legion are the ones who need it the absolute most no contest. Yet, they twiddle their thumbs and fix completely irrelevant things yet again.

Well all the people whining about "clown is the worst killer" all the time got overheard.

  • Pop was a balanced perk before they nerfed it and still is after. Unlike undying.

  • I got the opposite effect. Longer queues and facing the same people. Hence not bothering turning crossplay back on but lately choosing not to play at all.

PC players make up most the player base. We shouldn't be negatively affected by console player kids because they made a poor system choice, yet the devs are choosing consoles over PC.

You sound really dumb right now. This isn't a advanced game and has nothing to do with the platforms. The fact is that DBD has TERRIBLE optimization and even on PC that can be encountered. Stop defending this terrible coding.

  • @Leachy_Jr said:

I wouldn't of minded if they changed the condition of the perk, as that is really what makes it weak - not being able to have a foresight or a bit of control when it activated. Maybe on every down or hook you get a token.

But ehh yea, they kinda just nerfed it for no reason.

I wouldn't call it no reason. At 100% lunge it gets pretty ridiculous. Especially when you take into account the game is already full of questionable hits if the killer is farther from the server than you are. I agree the conditions should be lessened though for sure.

  • I disagree and if anything the 4%ers just help the killer most of the time. I have yet to find anyone who actually whines about 4%. People's problem is more that people do it when they could be saved and thus hurt their team. When it is done at the right time, it's still probably not going to do anything even if you stack all the best luck offerings with slippery meat to boot. Most of these "well you should disable x on survivor side' is just pettiness instead of an actual argument for it.

  • Bloodlust isn't necessary for any of the maps. If you actually -need- bloodlust you are a bad killer plain and simple. The only positive of it being there is as an indicator to try and wake you up that you over committed to a chase. I hope with that change beasts of prey is buffed so it isn't useless (which it is even now).

  • @SlothGirly said:

    the salt, it's immeasurable

edit: this is really funny, how dare a killer play the way he wants to XD

No one is critiquing slugging. They are critiquing purposely griefing. The situation described is easy to distinguish from that and is fairly uncommon. OP's situation specifically is clearly griefing. The survivor equivalent of this would be refusing to do gens and bullying the killer or body blocking other survivors so they can't play the game.

    @Jyn_Mojito said:

I don't know if I'd consider it toxic. It can definitely be unfun for Survivors, though. There was one match I had playing against Nurse. She'd slug, we'd heal, she'd find us with Nurse's Calling, and repeat the process.

She finished all so fast we didn't even get to finish a SINGLE gen! As the last Survivor, when she came for me, I laid down my medkit and crouched. My mercy plea was accepted and we ran across the map looking for Hatch.

I guess my point is, while it might be seen as toxic, the Killer might be trying to complete a challenge or practice their power, ie, Blinking. But it's always difficult to read intention in the virtual world.

That's not the situation though. Slugging is okay. Slugging everyone then forcing them all to bleed out isn't. There is a huge difference between the two.

  • @TheseLies said:

Now a days I've had a lot more chases on very safe loops with survivors who refuse to drop pallets. They wait until you're just barely about to hit them. Now I agree pre-dropping is dumb, but I've seen other posts where survivors complain about killers leaving loops like this. What do they expect is to do? Just waste our time??

Because that's how you're supposed to do it. Use it till you can't. The problem with it is the game has killer side hit detection though so you're risking getting hit through the pallet when really you dropped it before the hit.

  • @Hoodied said:

Most likely cause of the Rift making the art team have to rush with cosmetics

Also expect someone to say "THeY nEEd To fOcUs oN bUgS nOt CoSmEtIcS" and say that like the art team is supposed to focus on something they don't specialize in

They could not release rifts back to back.

  • You don't need second chance perks as killer because you already have incredibly strong perks. What I find mindblowing here is you refer to NOED and not undying.

  • I agree its pretty stupid to not let people get matched with people who have it on still. Its artficially increasing queue time. On top of that for window store they can't play with steam store if they have it off despite being on the same platform... Its stupid.

As for why people play with it off:

In my experience console players are very unreliable and too many have bad internet. I assume because they're using a wifi connection instead of ethernet. Which is further made an issue with the fact I can't see what other people's connections look like in the match.

In short: The way the devs implemented crossplay is stupid and people should quit defending it.

  • Sometimes crawling is the right play. Other times not. I had a game today where I had never been hooked. Teammate wouldn't get me. I crawled across the entire map to the edge where a sacrifice happened. The killer visited several times, never picked me up only until I was about to die. He couldn't hook me then though so I just ended up escaping 6 times till I finally bled out instantly. Other survivor escaped.

Another example would be if the killer is hard camping a hook and someone is slugged there. Just waiting there helps the killer camp harder. Someone has to come either for the hook or the pick-up. Just saying there is stopping your teammates from getting both you and the hook.

  • This would kill the perk. What you also don't take into account is that there are exhaustion add ons in the game and they aren't rare. Those would then cause AMN to be even more useless although admittedly in the case of huntress she shouldn't even have them.

  • Would make more sense to have some other perk have that.

  • Game stability has gotten far worse recently. Most of the DCs I see lately are the game never actually launching for the person but it starts anyways and DC's them. Sometimes it will let the game run as a 3v1. Other times it will cancel it. The rest are mostly random DC'd out while they aren't even having anything happen to them. IMO they should just take the ######### off because of that. I don't know ######### they did but they broke the game for many.

  • Did you seriously use coronavirus as an excuse to not put them in the store? It is adding cosmetics to a store which they are clearly having no problem doing considering how many have been added into it for the past year without issues. Like jeez, that was the most SIMP thing to say lol. "Covid slowing down cosmetics".

It is just to make rift passes more desirable. Nothing more nothing less. More than enough time has passed for the first pass to go into the store though and there's been like 5 since then.

  • I literally just described the second situation as what this one is.

Money was mistakenly given. People scrambled for it. Some did not get it. That doesn't mean you give more people money or take it away. You take it as a loss and move on. There was no intent. It is not favoritism. In this case money would be auric cells. It's not as if it was done on purpose. If people want to be mad about something they should be mad about how people got scammed out of their shards when the price dropped after two days with no announcement.

  • Favortism implies intent. You're basically saying that if I drop 100 $1 bills on the ground and everyone scrambles to get them that I favored the ones who grabbed it before the ones who didn't. In this case it isn't even that. Someone dropped a bunch of money then people scrambled.

  • A graphics update can be good for the map if the textures are optimized. That is the problem with many games. They do not optimize the textures and it ends up taking up far more resources than it should. Hence why people throw out mods that look /nicer/ than the original textures yet take up less resources. Its BHVR being talked about though so that's probably out of the question. Overall the bad performance in the game is really bad compared to the quality of what you're seeing.

  • This game needs maps more than it does survivors and killers.

  • @Mandy said:

The option to "Leave Game" needs to be there for actual legitimate reasons for leaving a match - stuck due to a bug, irl emergency etc.

You are still punished for it. I didn't get to avoid a cooldown when I got put in a match as hag where I could NOT use my power at all.

I also played against a killer who had the same bug and DC'd for the very same reason. In his case he was a nurse though so it was worse.

  • @ArchonPrime said:

Because BHVR play survivors only,Simple answer, just look how they nerf PH and say:"We are not aiming to make The Executioner stronger or weaker overall, but rather to address some of the frustrations of both sides."

    Such a hypocrite.

PH's "nerf" is insignificant. At least complain about something worth complaining about. And no, this is a stupid bug for both sides. It also looks really dumb in game anyways to have a random bush inbetween fences.

  • The aura reading is completely unnecessary and should be put on thrill of the hunt. The perk still does its job and if you're really reliant on the aura reading aspect you aren't a good killer. But then again I'm biased. I didn't need several chances to use ruin before. If you can't pay attention to any of your totems then don't run a hex perk. I feel like no changes are being made only because they want people to buy blight.

  • @Lostmaniac said:

Very ambiguous character symbol, this is mistake.

    Only if you're uneducated.

  • I feel differently. Multiple survivors on a gen is great especially early game since if you find them you 1. stop a high progress gen or at least slow it. 2. Are going to at least down one of them and likely injure others. 3. They're going to either scatter after (waste a bit of time), try to finish the gen in front of you which is risky or swarm which can lead to a slug fest. For a lot of the killers its beneficial to have all the survivors gathered up. You want them split up? You're literally making "gen rush" easier because you can't be in more than one place at once. So instead of losing one gen you're going to lose 2 or 3.

  • Totally unnecessary and shouldn't happen. You're perfectly able to guesstimate how much you got left. Don't get greedy with picking a hook location. Be strategic in where you down survivors. Survivors got to be aware of what areas are terrible to be downed at as well or where sabotaging will actually pay off. As it is most hooks are way too close together so if this is an issue for you you're killing people too close together, getting greedy or getting outplayed. Lets not get into the fact there's two carry perks to make it so a survivor has basically no chance of escape.

i want original content, not stuff that panders to certain groups

this also includes the countless "cutesy" outfits

You can have original and cater to that character's background. The traditional outfits that Jake and Yui got both look great. Much better than the slew of the outfits emo kids used to wear 10 years ago with ugly highlights/dyes. Or all the reskins which is what most of the cosmetics are.

  • This is why I hide my stuff in the grass!

  • If you played enough to get a bloody cosmetic set chances are you have already gotten enough shards to of bought yourself a better cosmetic. Or... You're a character like Bill, Laurie or Nancy which have barely any cosmetics.

  • @Orion said:

Nobody says killers are never toxic. What's (accurately) said is that survivors are disproportionately toxic.

Except that's not true really. The fact just is you're meeting 4 people at once. The odds of one being an ######### are higher whereas with a killer you're meeting one at a time with a higher queue time. What you will find in reality is that the people who are toxic on one side tend to be the same people that do it on the other.

  • The point of prestige is starting from the bottom in exchange for rewards. The rewards are lacking. The grind overall just needs to be lowered by increasing base BP gains.

I'm mad i don't see flip flop or boil over used more. So many interesting perks but most r1 survivors use the same predictable builds...

It ends up being useless 99% of the time because even if you get your full recovery you'll still be within walking distance of a hook...

  • Why are the maps dark in a horror game that's about it not being daylight?

  • No, more of the skins should be though.

  • I would have zero complaints about DS if it deactivated when touching a totem or generator.

    @evilwithinIII said:

I think all older perks need to get reworked. How many dlc are we in and the meta for Both killer and survivor hasnt changed? All the new perks has conditions before they can be used unlike the older ones that are straight forward but they are still as or even more effective.

This should not be the case, i prefer that all the perks have high conditions like the newer perks.

Note: this doesnt only included the meta perks but also the perks that are bad like monstreous shrine.

Just because a perk isn't straightforward doesn't mean it is bad. Perks shouldn't be overly complicated like Gearhead for example.

  • Candyman is a hood classic.

  • Imagine defending AFKing. Just report them and move on.

  • Killers do get BP for everyone being killed... It is just capped by the emblem. Survivors have it that way as well.

  • I agree it should. The effect is the same. A person is dead far earlier than they were supposed to be. It's a pretty insignificant amount of points anyways.

As for the "exploit" it's far less than actual BP gains in a regular match... So that's completely redundant to go do it for an abuse.

A rare item that costs tons of resources and is difficult to use and takes lots of practice... if you play nothing but killer and nothing but huntress you might have more then average... but really ultra rare should be that powerful its not like it could even be used every game

Tons of resources? It's 7k. It's not that much at all nor are any of the other pink add ons lol. As a killer with bbq you're making 60k a game if it's optimal. More if you got offerings. Difficult to use? Just get close range if you're not good at long shots. Attempting long shots when they don't know how to land them is how I see people mess up. Want extra chances? Put an add on for more hatchets. Overall all the pink add ons are pretty ridiuclous and only seem to be there as a means to fill a void for bad game design in other aspects. Also to make bad killers feel like they're good at the game since most are very powerful. Others are pretty useless.

Across the board killer add ons need to be reworked so the useless ones actually have a purpose aside from going through the bloodweb and the OP ones(That will become a problem with smaller maps) are tweaked accordingly.

First of all, this is a forums for Console and PC, mobile has a discord I believe.

Second of all, the developers have said that camping is a tactic/strategy that they've got no intentions of changing.

I doubt they mean standing directly in front of the hook nodding your head is a strategy. The solution there is to have slower entity progression if you're within 2 meters. That would be a change that does not punish camping overall but does punish a very specific type that 9/10 is just griefing.
