  • I would rather head on get that buff instead.

  • Their counter argument was "well the last survivor gets nothing if they're hooked". Kind of ignores the fact that survivor BP gains are abysmal in general which if that wasn't the case people would say nothing.

you can report them ingame by clicking on the little thumbs up button next to the players name in the end screen.

when you report them this way, the endgame chat will automatically be saved, so you dont have to screenshot them.

if you want to, you can additionally file a report here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us

though this should only really be used when there is more evidence needed, e.g. a video of someone using cheats ingame.

you will not receive any updates on the reported person from the devs, however just because they didnt tell you so doesnt mean the player wasnt banned.

Are the bans like the cooldown timer or actual bans?

Bro stfu. Provide proper and constructive criticism with a possible solution than just bashing the teams that put work into this patch.

He described the problem fine. Is he supposed to go make a coding solution to the problem without the source code for a random edgy white knight?

  • This would make perks centered around being downed useless.

  • tbh i wouldnt mind slower progression if the killer is facecamping. It would be pretty easy to have a distance that punishes that while allowing proxy camp/defending the hook if they try to unhook before you even leave.

Which are the snowflakes and which are the hypocrites?

The snowflakes would be the people getting offended by a crouch animation, head nodding or any other expression.

The hypocrites would be the people that do toxic behavior themselves yet are the first to complain.

  • The only problems I see are snowflakes and hypocrites when it comes to this type of stuff.

  • They need to nerf people's ability to use a VPN to play in regions where clearly their connection is going to be far worse.

  • I disagree considering wraith get a speed boost while cloaked and a good wraith will use that to bodyblock.

  • I don't mind the corn. I don't got an issue seeing through it. There's one corn map though that is just way too big and doing map pressure on it is hard unless you're nurse, billy or playing survivors that screw around instead of doing gens.

Then again though I also don't think the maps are too dark and they're honestly too damn bright for a 'horror' game.

  • There's nothing wrong with crouching just like there is nothing wrong with head nodding or swinging at air/a survivor's hooked body.

    Grow a thicker skin.

  • That whole survey aside from a few questions was just a joke. It blows my mind how out of touch they are.

  • If you want a mori bring devour hope or rancor.

When I stream, it occurs to me that I may be sniped. But I just consider that a hazard of streaming. Our official position on it not being bannable is also in part because as Peanits says, it's impossible to enforce.

It is possible to not have survivor names show in lobby to the killer before the match... Which results in stream sniping and other unethical behavior.

  • FYI blocking people doesn't stop you from playing with them again. That's not how it works.

  • Those both sound pretty fair.

  • I would rather NOED be removed and replaced with a built in 'spiritual' resistance on opening exit gates based on the # of dull totems left. Not a perk every killer would have it. Remember me would be able to be stacked on top of that so it'd be more powerful than it currently is. IMO that would have better gameplay effects than a perk that basically just rewards bad gameplay with the end result being free downs if you're engaged in chase or closed a chase already just before gens popped.

  • I almost had this happen to me today. Luckily it crashed on the lobby. I've been unlucky other days though. They could at least distinguish between DC and client crash which gives you the option already to send the crash report. If one is sent then no penalty should be given for that.

Okay, the forum is for topic "discussion". I don't see anything to discuss here, just a blanket statement.

Are you referring to a specific killer? Are you referring to lag hits? Are you referring to window/pallet hits?

    Please DESCRIBE the issue(s).

P.S: Most of what I'm assuming you're complaining about is being looked at for next patch. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

Maybe he's referring to how this game has capsule hitboxes which are completely ######### as a concept.

Talk about me not my folks you know what assuming does to you or make you look like.

I think we're assuming that you're trying to do the equivalent of victim blaming. It must be their fault, they deserved it!

You're shifting goal posts from the issue at hand because the fact is there is no real positive side to seeing who is in a lobby. There are however negatives:

    • Arranging farm games.
    • Stream sniping.
    • Using information about that player and then using that information to change loadout or playstyle.

So what exactly is your argument against it? Oh right, there isn't one. Just a bunch of edginess.

Hide in a locker or behind a gen there’s all kinds of counters to it including some perks

The thing about those perks are so situational they're useless. Distortion specifically. Why carry it if you only have 3 tokens, no possibility to earn more and ultimately the killer will just assume that someone is near the hook most likely if they don't see you anyways.

  • Maybe you need some new eyes.

  • @OhHelloThere said:

oh yes survivors need to be even stronger and have more crutch perks yes yes :)

Because killers don't have a slew of crutch perks right...?

Boil over is simply a meme perk atm. If you were smart you would actually want people to use perks outside of the meta by making more builds viable for both sides. Out of the 130+ perks in the game, easily over half of them are completely useless and only take up filler space in the bloodweb.

    future maybe

    past can't work

Devs explained survivors from past wouldn't work well in the game since they wouldn't know what a generator is and how to fix it...but all modern survivor apparently know very well how to fix gens

I don't think that's very true considering most of these people's character backgrounds don't have any skills at all that'd make them a mechanic. They're doomed to an eternity of dying and escaping briefly. At some point they learn.

  • Kind of have to because loud people complaining get noticed over a silent majority.

  • 48-72 hours probably.

  • @Peanits said:

The best advice I could give you is to not sweat the losses right now. She's far from the easiest to play, especially with a controller, so there's no shame in losing with her. The only way you're really going to get better with her is to lose and learn from your mistakes. Going against easier opponents might make you win now, but it won't help you learn how to mindgame and hit the good ones.

If you are playing against good survivors, though, I would recommend not blinking through walls (at least, not all the time) but instead blinking to the corners. Survivors need to break line of sight to get away from you. If you blink to where you think they'll be if they kept running, they can wait by the corner and run back the other direction and you'll have no idea where they are. By blinking to the corner, you can make sure that you can see them no matter which way they go.

But you're ultimately want to get a feel for it. Sometimes it'll work, sometimes it won't. You'll need to practice and get a feel for what works and what doesn't, and how to read a survivor and guess what they'll do next.

With the next update, we'll be increasing the maximum controller sensitivity, which might help you out a little if you find that it's not turning fast enough.

That's like saying you should go play against the New York Yankees to get better at baseball when you just started tee ball. If you are just starting out you don't benefit from facing the best players. That's why people suggest different rankings for different killer classes. That way you don't get completely steamrolled on one you don't play but if you're playing another killer that is basically the same as your main then you don't get an easier game. Grouping killers like that wouldn't be hard considering a lot of their playstyles are similar to eachother.

The wiggle function is ass I will 100 wiggle and get dragged scoped to a hook, like what more of my bar is ther to fill , because the op is spamming hook ‘ how about F off XD I just say remove the damb thing

100% isn't enough effort. Gotta put 101% into everything you do!

  • The only way this idea could ever work is if you had two dysfunctional doors. That can make someone go to the wrong door during a chase if they weren't paying attention when the gens popped. Letting people interact would be annoying. Letting the killer know which is real on top of that would be overkill.

Guess I was right when I said:

'Queue heavy killer biased players here saying "but all survivor addons are OP so they shouldn't keep them" or something to that effect.'

I wouldn't pay the guy no mind. Literally all of his posts are moaning about survivors lol and talking about how he has to dc out of games.

That's some of the faultiest logic I ever read.

  • I don't mind keys in chest. They're fairly rare. If somebody gets any key in a trial it's far more likely to be a broken key. My only issue with keys in chests is if AITH gives it a key saving add on.

  • I agree. On top of that you got the opposite end where a big terror radius gives people BT when they shouldn't have it. The killers that usually have this happen to them are doctor and legion.

  • Lowering it to 2s would make it more viable.

  • I'd be happy to see bloodlust go. Even without bloodlust eventually you'll catch someone if you exclusively focus on them.

2 and 3 are definitely unnecessary. By that point it's definitely a 'you' issue for not catching the survivor even without any reworks.

  • Every second counts.

  • The red herring one sounds interesting.

Is that the 4 man SWF groups it spoils? Yeah great an over powered groups lose something. us noob killers lose all time but you guys don nothing on matchmaking

All you do is cry about SWF in every thread. Half the stuff you write can be made into a meme you're that much of a stereotype lmao.

OT: Killers aren't special. Everyone that ragequits/leaves early deserves temp bans. It ruins challenges/dailies. It wastes time. It takes away the chance for more BP which is pretty low as survivor and puts the survivor back in a long queue. If you want a game you can ragequit without repercussions I heard Animal Crossing is nice.

  • Stop punishing survivors for being efficient lmao. You can end the game fast as either one and get little points. At least as killer if it happens you get BBQ stacks if you got it. As survivor you get #########. WGLF requires the game lasting long enough to get stacks since the requirements are higher (Actually requires risks) and being 3 perks. The BP system being based around extending the game is centered around 1) Everyone having fun and 2) Satisfying the entity per the lore. In terms of rewards survivors get far less. A bad game as killer tends to result in more BP even without BBQ stacks. No one cares about pips because the rank system is just grind. That's why the new mmr is wanted. That's also why you even won your game. It's not good matchmaking to be facing a rainbow just like its not when its a yellow killer against far higher ranks.

You're not being punished at all. You're making a choice to end it faster. If you cared about maxing your emblems you'd just go play with your food basically till they served their purpose and kill them. That doesn't mean you go turn it into a farm game for them. That means you focus on what you want out of it and me personally I also use the time to try new things.

The problem with the point system for killer is only with the malicious emblem but I guess the same could be said about survival emblem for survivor. Every other emblem can be maxed fairly easily for killer. -You- are fully capable of controlling whether you pip or not in games you won.

I'm checking profiles to confirm SWF and I literally cannot get 1 in 20 games to be non-SWF now.

Seriously devs, it's long past the time for you to buck up and admit SWF is the norm now and you need to balance for it.

I sincerely doubt 19/20 games for you are 3-4 man SWF smh.

@DEADMEURT Could you please not like completely ignore the post @Sharkio used to completely prove the point you tried to make in your first post in this thread moot?

Also, no. I like to have a vague idea of what and who I'm up against.

Seeing player names really helps with that. You can use it to identify potential SWF players and toxic or offensive people. Like, sorry, but if one of the survivors is names "Suck my dicc faggit", I want to know, and he is going to get tunneled and die. Fully deserved.

And honestly, I don't want ANY extra protection for Streamers. They have work hazards like any other job. No special treatment for our "celebrities" please. We have enough of that in the world already.

I'd say could you disprove my post but all you did was prove it. It isn't a special protection anyways. It should be the case for everyone.

Where does it says so? I didnt know to be honest. Then i guess map offerings are good.

I read it on here when a topic came up about it but after looking on the wiki the modifier is 9999 for a map offering. It's probably the max value so they can't be stacked. Stacking maps might've been possible when they had the uncommon and common ones though since they had a far lower value. I didn't play back then so no idea if that was ever a thing.

  • No thanks. They should just make the maps more enjoyable.

    @BraydenJames said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1184807#Comment_1184807

The problem with map offerings is that you can conflict with other players, rendering it useless. It's also not feasible to burn a map offering every match just to ensure you don't get a map that doesn't work at all for your killer/playstyle.

And? That's totally fine. The only conflict that can't be aleviated is between survivors and killers. Survivors are fully capable of saying 'Hey I put this map' so then the other people know to not waste their map offerings.

Map offerings aren't weighted so putting the same one doesn't increase their chances of being picked. If you're going to tell me that 4 people put 4 different maps (incredibly rare) on top of your own map then that's damn near the same as having a random map chosen.

  • My issue with the rift is that challenges should've been worth more in progress.

  • The only thing negative I can say about billy is his chainsaw should run out at some point. That don't mean to the point it's inconvenient but definitely a ceiling.

  • @Chatkovski said:

The problem is not knowing who we are playing against. Players also have full control over this information (Steam in this case). Hiding information about DBD (such as hours of play) is possible. Changing nicknames and deleting old ones is also possible.

However, we should be able to use a single identity, for consistency and publicity, without fear of special treatment. I am also sensitive to inequalities, and here the treatment is unequal: either we hide this information for all the players (including the survivors) in the lobby, or we show this information for all the players (including the killer).

But ultimately, the critical point is the behavior in the game. Camping and tunneling are always a problem, not just for streamers. And there is no point in answering “legitimate strategy” by knowingly ignoring what we are really referring to.

Furthermore, the message posted by the killer is reprehensible. And disclosure is prohibited on the forum. I invite you to delete the images or to censor the nickname.

You shouldn't need to hide your information to play a video game. The only thing that can be said about this is that OP is able to put a stream delay so it's not as close to real time. There is no reason whatsoever to know who the survivors you are facing just like there is no reason to know who the killer is in advance. It's not the same as seeing their characters and items.

All seeing the names encourages is for opponents is:

    • Lobby dodging.
    • Stream sniping.
    • Changing loadout based on who is there. Not due to their characters or equipment but because of their name, friends list, etc.)
    • Griefing.

The only positives are seen post match for reports/props. There is no benefit to seeing it prior to the match for legitimate gameplay reasons.

    @Reborn2020 said:
