If anything it too far too long for them to show up in the store.
-
This is just confirmation bias. 1.5x BP isn't as busted as people make it out to be and the playerbase already brings OP stuff and acts toxic without incentives. If you're that worried about keys just stop playing in lobbies where you see a key... Its a low chance of getting a chest key. Last second swap? Quit on loading if it bothers you that much.

If a change happened to dead hard it would be fixing it being half broken for al ong time.
-
Making the environment more interactive would make it more scary.

Did you bm him? Tbag, keys, constant flash light clicking, taunting can make a killer tunnel. Not condoning tunneling just saying these things can 'piss' a killer off.
You don't gotta do that. Some people are just like that. I get that sometimes. I don't t bag, clicky flashlight , moonwalk or taunt with emotes. I've had it happen I'd say twice with my current survivor build that's lightweight, deception, dance w/ me and inner strength. Now if I added on how many times I've been tunneled off the hook while having that I'd lose count. I at least understand if I'm the last guy and there's no way to defend the closest gate.
-
If you're playing with bad wifi you're hurting other players experiences. I remember playing a clown who had the name 'I have bad internet' - he would score hits from 30ft away. To give perspective on the distance I had a hit scored when the killer was at cow tree while I had run over to a jungle gym on the other side of the corn field. I DC'd out of that. That's unplayable. I stay if lag is reasonable. 25% of the map away? No thanks. He DC'd after I guess realizing how terrible it was. In short, if you got terrible internet you're hurting everyone else. Either cause you get random DC'd or cause you're messing up gameplay. A more mild example of bad internet I had the other day was a Feng who was sometimes teleporting around. If the other 3 survivors were very good the few times I missed cause of the teleporting could've made me lose. I legit had to basically treat her like she had dead hard because of that.

IMO new game is too bright. I liked the original lighting; it was more gritty. The rest is okay. New crotus penn is nice. Haddonfield should've been done tho first.

Using these as side by side examples kind of ignores the fact this hud has been used countless times before.

Um, no. Lol. I'd much rather have teammates who are unable to kill themselves than to be able to give others the option of leaving through the hatch. Now some will argue that they'll just run to the killer and get downed again. But if they're wasting the killer's time like that its way more time for us to get gens done. I'm OK with that! Its when someone ragequits on first hook after being downed and screws over 3 other teammates with 3-4 gens left to do its infuriating.
Its not about giving teammates hatch. People should be able to die if they want to whether it is because a game is hopeless, they don't want to be saved (Ex: Killer hard camping them at EGC w/ gates done) or an example I had just a few days ago where I had a killer who was using modded files... Or VPN/high latency killer which hit validation did not fix. If I play a Peruvian or Chilean with high ms I'd rather die on hook.
-
@Orionbash said:
As much as I love to let go of myself on last hook to give a teammate the hatch I'd MUCH rather this mechanic go as its often used to screw over your team way more often.
I support this.
The solution there is to just have a give up option.

They're fine for me, only issue I have is scratch marks for me at least are harder to see on Ormond than before.
-
Unpopular opinion I guess: Autohaven and Macmillan weren't bad off to begin with and aren't after the rework either. Don't see why those are being brought up as bad examples.
-
After having just played a Peruvian on the Virginia server (40ms) I can safely say that hit validation don't do anything against killers that have high ms. The only fix is giving the regions that don't have a server their OWN server.

Imagine being this upset about a perk being changed that's only been around a few months. Brea

Y'all are so petty, I swear. All y'all do is make toxicity out to be a non-issue and say "Just don't get offended so easily". The first time or two someone is a jerk to us in this game, they get a pass because they're just a random jerk. When it's a daily occurrence, something is wrong. I'd say that evil is literally thriving if that it the case, and it is. People behaving like that is not acceptable, and while we can't stop them from doing it, we can't just pretend that it is normal. What you're telling the victims is "you're the problem". You just don't do that to someone.
Teabag is a non issue. Just as head nodding is a non issue. Clicking flashlights in a non issue. Pointing is a non issue. Come here is a non issue. And head shaking is a non issue. Who cares if survivors, ghostface, pig, demo or hag t bag? Actual toxicity is an issue. Aka death threats and insults in post game chat. Purposely sandbagging other survivors and aiding the killer. Griefing specific players over several games and forcing bleedout on people when its not necessary (i.e. to avoid ds or some other perk from activating or the survivor being in a area they can't be hooked). DDOSing is an issue. Those are serious problems in this community and you people want to complain about animations.

Wow, I hope getting all that off your chest helped!
This post was simply just a quotation from the end of the video that some people may have missed. As for it being a joke, it could possibly be, I’m not familiar with French Canadian humor so I’m unsure.
It is obviously a joke. A boeing 747 flying over your head wouldn't be enough for you to realize you got wooshed.

Not only do they need to fix sounds, but a dying Survivor should be loud af man. There's no reason you should ever lose them.
They don't need to be any louder than default. There is deerstalker if you can't keep track and knockout if you don't want them going far. The bug just needs to be fixed. It isn't good for anyone. Survivors don't like being on the ground and killers don't like looking. The normal audio would be perfectly fine if it would work all the time.

The mori was already nerfed, what the hell are you even talking about here?
I have a better solution for DS, make it infinite, reduce it to 40 seconds, it deactivates as soon as someone else is hooked
Just take it off gen/totem and I'm happy. What some people want goes too far and it just becomes clear they're the person that the perk is meant to be impacting. The whole 'Well I hooked someone else!' argument goes out the window when more often than not that excuse is used when the killer is camping the hook or immediately returning to it. Yes if you try to get them both you may get DS'd, as it should be. Its a bit too easy on high mobility killers to do that. I got no problem doing that as spirit. I got no problem doing it as doctor considering how easy it is to find survivors as him. The same issue can be seen with billy and nurse. Frankly any killer can do it but it is pretty plain to see why those killers specifically get put in that situation. If the survivor is unhooked, the other is immediately downed and I just hook them that's only a second of my time. The unhooked survivor is easily going to be found in that timespan.
I don't care about lockers. I get why that is done and despite the negatives the positives are:
- It counters moris. You can say 'well it got nerfed' - well it don't need to be a guaranteed kill either if you're too scared to eat a stun. The argument of it being nerfed is moot when you also take into account that pyramid head hard counters DS if they hit a trail. Most pyramid heads just hold the trail to do the mori.
- It gives a reason to not just pull someone out of a locker which helps other locker perks such as head on, deception and inner strength. The first two being very situational.

Blocking someone has no impact whatsoever on matchmaking in games.
-
Its mindblowing how many people use a anecdotal situation as if it means anything. The things that can be gathered are that:
1) Ruin Undying won't save you if you're completely braindead. You have to at least have a squishy brain to remember to pressure gens some and remember "Oh yeah I can teleport".
2) It is a bad idea to waste time spamming snares aimlessly. If you're that type of person you need corrupt.
3) BNP is busted. Yes, I don't think anyone disagrees it should be changed or removed.
That's it. The biggest takeaway from this is don't play like that guy. The second is that BNP should be removed or tweaked again.

That would be way too generous, if they did offer any it would be a really tiny amount. Otherwise in just two seasons someone would have enough to get the paid pass. I don't see it ever happening, instead I think they need to offer blood point bonuses, items, add-ons, they need to fill up the track with more items. Way too many tiers are empty.
A small amount would be fine. DICE/EA takes that approach with BF V. Inbetween their passes they have weekly challenge tracks that reward currency and premium currency.

"Spend a few" in a global pandemic whilst I'm a full time student to replace equipment tgst functions just fine instead of having BHVR, the game developers, implement a function resolution scaling system to ensure that it isn't an issue for everyone instead of just for me. Okay.
You make it sound like people are saying to spend $300 on a monitor. There are a slew of 1080p ones that are under $100. Put a little money aside here and there. It can be done in two months if you're just putting in $10 a week. One month if you're doing $20.

Or... you could lunge at the survivor while they're on a totem/gen. The only point where you're forced to eat the DS, is if they go into a locker.
Yes, I can lunge at them. I'm aware. Anyone who has played killer and seen DS does that. Which I will then be eating a DS upon picking them up. Why? Because in that circumstance the ds/unbreakable combo will let that survivor finish what they are doing. Hence the problem with the combination. The time after a stun may even be enough to pop a gen depending on the situation, disregarding the time they may have been there within the 60s. Why should that be a thing? I've come to that viewpoint from having done it myself in the past and from seeing it happen to me occasionally while playing killer. I don't mind it for unhooks. I do mind it for those two specific things. Oh and I don't mind locker DS. I do mind working on an objective knowing for a certainty that nothing bad will happen. It is unbalanced plain and simple in that circumstance. Plain and simple.

@HollowsGrief said:
Yes, lets make an already joke of a perk even more weak.
Whether or not they get the item out of the match isn't going to make a difference in the perk's strength. Unless your intention was to grief with it. The perk still has the same impact it would on the match itself.
I couldn't really care either way. If the perk's "strength" is the worry there then the perk can be further strengthened by having items degrade on the ground overtime. To have that balanced it could be done in milestones based on the perk's tier. Every Xs the item loses X charges.
-
@OniKobayashi said:
His opinion doesn't change the necessity for them while the Survivors have their two meta perks that the devs refuse to touch.
Ah yes because games are definitely lost from start to finish due to ds/unbreakable... Just lol.
People are so deluded about that comparison. The combo is good in END GAME. Prior to that? It can potentially lose you momentum. I got no problems eating the DS if its used aggressively or if I gotta get someone hooked again quick or frankly if I just wanna get the DS out of the way if its there. Its a one time perk that tends to be wasted. If it gets used aggressively prior to EGC it tends to just result in the person getting picked up right after. Once DS is out of the way the unbreakable is out the window unless -you- allow it. Now during EGC even then the perk combo can be fruitless if the killer either 1) Hooks the survivor at a low progress gate or 2) Hooks the survivor as far as possible from the gates.
The only problem that needs to be resolved with DS is that it can be used to do a totem/gen with protection. Fixing that is as simple as deactivating it if a survivor touches a gen/totem. I wouldn't say it should go off for an unhook simply because that would then immediately strengthen facecamping.
The fix to both combinations are easy to address. Only the lazy and those that want to take advantage try to grandstand with two wrongs make a right.

So I go over there, down the uninjured guy and hook him... Second guy is unhooked. I slug them both. Then they start dcing and I seen the last one... When down her she dc'd too. Dude i've had full voicechat teams with Object to tell my position from the original camera spin, 4 dead hard, 4 DS, BT and a spasm on the crouch button for like sixty percent of my recent killer games.
It's not just you. I assume these guys were SWF, but honestly they might not have been. On Rank 2 survivor i've been paired with a rank 11 PC player, a rank 16 console player and a rank 18 console player, vs a rank 9 Killer (who proceeded to wreck my team in under three minutes)
Matchmaking is beyond boned because the MMR system is utterly failing, and the ranks don't even do anything other than being a cosmetic icon anymore (plus lets be honest, pipping as survivor is SO much easier than pipping as killer)
They probably weren't SWF. I see this happen all the time. If they can't get people from that ranking it just shoehorns in whatever one is available. I see this happen when playing killer. I see it happening when playing solo queue survivor. Hell here's one where none of them were the right rank from just now.

My friend in Kuwait gets bad servers all the time and if I want to play with him I would have to use a VPN to get to a middleground between us (Germany). Without a VPN it will put us far away, for example one of the servers was in Hyderabad, India.

but it's better for the game financially. do you value money or players more? i don't know about you, but as a veteran player, i would support this system, because it would make the game last longer. i see no harm in that. also, since the new characters are locked until next mid-chapter, there is plenty of time to farm those iridescent shards.
should the mods send this discussion to feedback & suggestions?
The game doesn't need it. It is doing perfectly fine. There are plenty of players and the game is already benefiting greatly from overpriced micro transactions. They don't need most people to even buy those. The micro transaction model relies on just a small percentage of players buying a massive amount. The average player buying a few outfits here and there is just icing on top.
The game is easily going to last another year, two or three perhaps. What the game needs is a sequel that isn't limited like this game engine is. And the better graphics that come with a sequel of course. Riding a emaciated horse till its heeled over and dies isn't good.

Why would you give them such a terrible idea?

Not a perk but I feel that 99ing on both sides is exploitable. 99ing sprint burst, 99ing expose. I feel it less for 99ing a door but those two specifically can be busted.

Something that could help is, you know cod pass, they often give 2xp weekend, also their pass isn't THAT grindy, something that I've noticed is that dbd pass is meant for people that don't play other games just dbd, unlike other passes that they make it easier so people don't have to stick that much into it.
I finished it like 2 weeks ago, all 70 tiers but I have a lot of free time thanks to the pandemic, most people have to go to school or work, bhvr doesn't care for them.
Indeed, I like Rockstar's approach to passes. Albeit they lowered the payout of gold you get back this pass. The gold can be earned back though through normal gameplay so its not a issue. The way they do it actually encourages retention and doesn't require anywhere near as much time invested if you are actually doing stuff while you play.

Having them expire after a day isn't good. Its not even a week. I tried a code a day or two after and it was expired. The codes themselves are an annoying concept and are overused. There was nothing wrong with getting the ######### on log in.

Hit validation is on for all kind of attacks. What you should be asking is what your ping is. If it's really good, this kind of hits should be rejected. Theoretically.
Hint: hit validation doesn't work as advertised. I did some archives myself and as someone with a 32 ping in lobbies, I still got ridiculous hits from the usual laggers. I will post a video later with some examples.
My ping is always under 46ms. I still get questionable hits.

Spirit and doctor are the killers that I play the most. I will be the first to say that spirit takes very little skill. She also becomes completely busted with her top add ons. I honestly lol'd when someone br9ought up her cooldown as a negative. Her cooldown is so short you can use your power several times in chase if needed and cross the map with ease. The same power that I can easily tunnel a hook if I want to while still getting MYC and devour hope credit. Some people are just in denial. Oh and I never use stridor and I feel that way. Stridor isn't necessary if you have ears. Iron will don't matter if you just short phase or chase them regularly. If you need stridor you're bad.

Sure there are but we are talking about characters and cosmetics in a game. Pretty straight forward there. And most buisness don't let you return something and buy something else just because oh i took it home, opened it, used it, didn't like it, i think I want to buy this one instead, or you should give me it for FREE which the OP said. The only one I know is walmart that does this but that's all ive seen. As for Dbd you can read the bio of characters, watch videos (YT,Twitch, Etc), forums, all kinds of various ways to find out info on characters before you buy. And 4.49 each is cheap and most can be bought with shards. Cosmetics are obvious. Not sure why a return would be needed. Sounds petty. Like these posts.
Even for cosmetics in a game there are times where refunds make sense. Example: BHVR changing cosmetic prices one day after releasing them with no announcement. I don't feel OP's claim is a good refund reason but I do feel that situations like that most definitely are. And what happened in those situations? People were not refunded. Because BHVR has a terrible refund policy. It isn't as if it can't be amended. They choose to have one. Another thing that in regards to cosmetics would be amateurish mistakes like clipping, distortions, etc. Those aren't petty reasons. They're legitimate problems with quality control and shady business practices.
As for the "I didn't like it" reason: Amazon is a prime example(No pun intended) of a company that has a good refund policy. Steam allows returns in under 2 hours of playtime. EA allows you to refund within a similar window of time. The bios don't matter for characters. They have no influence whatsoever. You can watch videos but those videos to not express feeling. You don't know if something feels right to you unless you try it. The one thing you can say is that PTB is possible for that. Even then, because the PTB doesn't have the release ready character that is likely not going to be right.
-
There are many businesses out there that actually have good refund policies. Especially when it is the company that screws something up. This one doesn't. Why people grandstand for BHVR on it is beyond me.
-
Still mindblowing to me how the obvious fix isn't done. Take off the aura reading. If it needs a secondary effect, give it something else. On its own having the survivors need to take down multiple dull totems alongside the hex is strong. Hell you know what? I'll even give a secondary effect. Make it so after completing a dull totem the survivor gets a deep wound status to simulate the totem being trapped. Honestly though that could go on a different hex and be made stronger so that it causes deep wound while doing the totem. Not enough to stop the totem obviously but enough to require mending asap and stop them from doing a task. Just to make it even stronger, make it give a stronger blurriness than usual so if the killer did come up they wouldn't see them with TPP camera. They'd have to rely on hearing. Also would tell the killer to watch their totems without ESP.

From my experience, this is still the case. Yesterday I played a game against a Rank 2 Killer with another 2 man SWF consisting of a Rank 1 and a Rank 20. And whenever I see a disturbance in Ranks, it is two low Ranks instead of one low Rank with a high Rank.
Its not always like that even. I get games where I am red rank and get thrown in with a bunch of greens or even yellows and grays. As a solo queue and they're all the correct ranks.... Except the killer who is also red rank.
I can get similar things happening as killer albeit more rarely including getting only green ranks or yellows as a rank 1.
-
It was needed yeah but it still needs to be changed. The nerf didn't make a difference for me playing killer. I usually mori'd after 2nd hook anyways or if someone is trying to use DS aggressively instead of just running off. As survivor I've seen enough people abuse mori to know it is far stronger than a key no matter what anyone says.
Some ideas I have:
- One, make moris not be inferior to hooking when it comes to points.
- Allow match progress to make it so you don't have to kill someone after a second hook. That could be that X gens are done or a time requirement. Moris late game were never an issue it was tunneling early.
-
It was said from the beginning they would go to the store eventually... Bringing up they are available for shards is stupid considering how long it takes to grind out shards. If they wanted to get something with shards they could've got a outfit that didn't come in a rift and therefore is going to probably be one that's less common.

Nobody is going to use this being alone, so you still gonna have to deal with DS, BT and yadda yadda, but also gonna be mindful that the survivor falls under a pallet and there's another one nearby, you will not be able to hook the first.
I didn't say they would. You don't get people to avoid the meta by giving them 100% useless perks. Compared to other perks. I would rather see 2 of this than 2 of other perks. This is a meme perk centered around the killer having bad pathing or not picking up a person on a pallet soon enough.
-
ye:
- Vertical Maps
- Maps that involve killers being able to use levers to change the layout of the map slightly.
- A map for ghostface that's obviously not from the movies because that isn't allowed but could draw similarities to his general theme.
- A map for Plague set in a Babylonian city.
- A map for Oni set at a haunted battlefield during the Feudal era.
- A map that swaps out hiding in lockers for other stuff instead. Like hiding in piles of bodies and stuff like that. Obviously still letting head on work.
- A map for Blight set in a pestula forest. Maybe have a victorian labratory too or have that as a separate map.
- A map for hag that is set in the desolate village she is from and some swampland surrounding it.
- A huge circus tent map for clown.
- A map for trapper set in a mineshaft.
- A map for deathslinger set in Hellshire Penitentiary.
- Demonic style maps Surreal effects, flora, settings, etc.
- A tundra map for huntress set in the Siberian wastes.
- A rock concert map or something for Legion. Or maybe a abandoned building/warehouse that looks like it gets used for parties, drugs, etc.
