You could be on generators. Just whenever the killer makes it obvious they’re running aura perks or add ons, just temporarily heal for the required seconds to “hide”

Then you're staying injured just to hide, which is risky.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/271362/bite-the-bullet-buff

This had already been discussed. Someone with Self Care could abuse that for aura blocking whenever they want. Oddly, Sloppy makes this even more powerful for a survivor to do.

At that point, you're sacrificing two perks and healing at 50% the speed, wasting time that could be on generators. Believe this is a fair trade, and why not have it, shift the meta around with unique builds.

  • @GannTM said:

I was thinking a cool buff to Bite the Bullet is to also have your aura hidden while you’re healing as well. It’s supposed to be a stealth perk while you heal so I don’t see why not.

I'm completely fine with that, but this would overshadow Sole Survivor and that other non existent token perk.

Yep, not Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer, not Stridor-Spirit, Lightborn. I got a lobby of 4 flashlights and as I hate dealing with more than one at a time, I brought Lightborn, Starstruck, Infectious Fright, Agitation.

They were stubbornly trying to blind me again and again, didn't take a hint that they were exposed, and the game didn't go too well for them, they died.

After the match, one of them was very salty because of it, said that Lightborn is such a dumb perk and I can't play because I chose to run it. Obviously I broke some unknown rule that survivors are entitled to have their flashlight fun if they so choose.

    B-but my flashlight...

It feels like I can’t chase even one survivor for like 20 seconds before they got three gens repaired by the time he’s hooked. I don’t hyper focus I give a brief chase break a pallet or two and get a hook but it seems literally impossible to chase survivors and do gen pressure at the same time so what am I supposed to do?

Here's the secret: Corrupt Invention + Lethal Pursuer — Corrupt locks the generators for two minutes, Lethal Pursuer allows you to get the most value from Corrupt.

Another tip: If you're getting bloodlust frequently, you have commitment issues. Watch out for survivors who will lead you away from their objectives.

Does anyone else thinks it takes way to long to get the trap from the pig off your head, I tried for times and still couldn't get it off and died. Is their anyway to stop the timer

The only time you actually die to a RBT is if you were overly greedy and didn't focus on boxes. There are edge cases with Jigsaw Sketch, Crate of Gears, and-or Tampered Timer alongside certain maps that makes removing traps in time especially a pipe dream, but these are pretty rare and RNG can save you if it does happen. The timer only pauses if you're being chased, or dying / hooked, that's really it unless your RBT is deactivated, which in that case, you have until the next generator before the RBT begins counting down.

  • Second Wind should be an altruistic perk, here's how it would look like in Perk Format:

    Second Wind

Upon unhooking a survivor, they become broken for 60/46/32 seconds.

Once the survivor is no longer broken and not in the dying state, they are healed to the healthy state. Otherwise, the perk does not heal them to the healthy state.

I'm afraid my familiarity with the character is a bit limited (only played FNAF 1 many years back), but I always enjoy hearing people's ideas for the game (whether its any kind of character including popular characters, their ideas for random perks, events, cool thoughts for maps, etc)!

That's great to hear (that you're at least familiar with the game), I played pretty much the whole series because I'm a huge fan of horror genre. Dead by Daylight is kinda like a Mashup of all horror, having another iconic character would make DBD more diverse and attractive to more players. Hopefully, if it ever happens, the developers should add Springtrap from FNAF — that would be so cool!

  • @EQWashu said:

I am just going to step in here real quick. Its ok for people to be excited and speculate about things and wonder whether or not it would fit in the realm of the game, and this character in particular has been a favorite one of many to discuss for quite some time. If you do not have interest in the topic of a thread, there are many other threads to participate in of varied topics, as well as polls, cool stuff over in Media Lounge and Creations, and random stuff over in Off-Topic to talk about.

No matter your opinion on the topic, all that is asked is that you remain civil and respectful with others and their opinions while doing so. Also, remember to keep the discussion on topic, please.

This was much needed, thank you for jumping in and calming the crowd down.

Anyways, what do you think about Springtrap?

Yeah, it's bizarre. People seem pretty keen on gatekeeping the horror genre, which is odd. Or freaking out about kids playing the game when they aren't supposed to anyway.

I believe a lot of people hate FNAF because at the beginning, the majority of the population who played it was young youth. Thinking that it's not meant for DBD, but they don't want to acknowledge the FNAF lore nor the cool bunny legion cosmetics in DBD.

  • @DelsKibara said:

    Just. Stop.

I'm so tired of these threads being brought up. I don't care what the content of the thread is, it's just getting really irritating and annoying seeing it OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Don't understand why everyone hates FNAF. I see plenty of ideas of other chapters, but none of them not getting anywhere close to the same hate as FNAF.

I never understood the FNAF hate here.

Ok. I said Wraith was the counter. You're right. 🙃

And survivors still use it because it's still a mixup.

It's probably best that we end the discussion here because it's not going anywhere meaningful. Looking at your quote history here with others, it seems like you don't want to discuss why DH is powerful and just use cherry picked arguments to fit your narrative.

    Have a great day!

  • @SonicOffline said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2409997#Comment_2409997

So you're taking something I said out of context and twisting it to fit your narrative. Where did I say that Wraith was the counter? You said I said that.

    -[edit]-

Let me be clear, I am not responsible for what you interpret. I am responsible for what I say. And I did not say that Wrath was the counter to Dead Hard. I just said how I handle it. If you really want to split hairs though:

Huntress, Demodoggo, Nemesis, Freddy, Conehead, Slinger, Nurse, Hag, Doctor, Clown, Plague, Legion,, Blight, Victor and Trickster all can directly respond to it using their powers, too.

What do you expect me and others to believe when you praise that Wraith is your go-to strategy? This is going to make me and others think you're implying that DH is fine because you have Wraith to counter it.

If you read out quote history, this is essentially what can be interpreted:

    You: "Just bait it out"

Me: "Doesn't work against DH for distance"

You: "I have Wraith to counter DH for distance"

Me: "So, your point is for me to play Wraith to counter DH for distance?"

You: "Uh, no, quote where I said that"

Me: "But you just said that you use Wraith to counter DH for distance, which is just one killer who can hard counter DH for distance"

You: "Now you're twisting what I said to fit your narrative? Here's other killers who can do the same thing to counter."

Me [RIGHT NOW]: "No, you ONLY mentioned Wraith against my argument that DH for distance has barely any counterplay. So in my eyes, you implied that Wraith is the ONLY solution since that's all you meantioned, which isn't healthy for the game."

If you look at the quote history, you would know why I interpreted the way I did.

Another thing I want to bring up, if you so claim that DH can be countered by the entire killer roster — Why do survivors still use it? Just want to hear your reasoning behind that.

This comment ignores that after this post i commented on baiting it as a wraith main with the invisibility, which gives me a massive speed boost.

    Distance my ass.

    Too easy, here's the quote:

"On baiting it as a wraith main with the invisibility, which gives me a massive speed boost."

You implied that Wraith is the go-to / effective strategy against DH. Therefore, from what I'm getting from this, I must play Wraith to counter DH. You never offered other solutions against DH for distance, just your "Wraith beats DH for distance counterpoint" — which is flawed because all killers should have natural counterplay against DH for distance that doesn't involve playing Wraith.

It is in the perk description that it can be used for distance. You dash forward and also avoid damage.

Don't worry, I know DH can be used for distance, that's how it's MAINLY used. However, some people act like DH is only used to dodge M1 hits out in the open, which rarely works in practice due to latency and having to predict the exact moment that the killer swings. They are using this to prove their point, but they KNOW for a fact that when people complain about DH, it's not that they are talking about. They don't want to acknowledge it because they know it's a ridiculous mechanic in which shouldn't exist.

That would make indoor scratch mirror OP.

For me, hes suffer of range stalk & takes too much time to get out of Tier1. But keep stalking rate the same at all range would help both.

I'm not great with numbers, just ideas, but you can't stalk survivors until you're in Evil Within ll only.

Here's my idea again in case you need to read it over again, I'll let you figure out what it should do. With a power rework comes with an entire add-on pass because some add-ons won't work with the new power.

    MICHEAL MYERS

    Evil Within l

Gain the Undetectable Status Effect, moving at 4.6m/s with a normal lunge range. Once a survivor is damaged by any means, automatically go to Evil Within ll.

    Evil Within ll

Same effects as Evil Within l, but you lose the Undetectable Status Effect.

Gain the ability the stalk ability, which allows you to mark survivors after stalking them for a short while. Having at least two survivors stalked will allow you, at your will, to progress to Evil Within lll.

    Evil Within lll

Same effects as Evil Within l, but you lose the Undetectable Status Effect and gain a 5% haste effect.

Gain the ability to enter predictor mode.

    Predictor Mode

Usable after being out of the survivor's line of sight for a few seconds.

    While in predictor mode:

    • You cannot interact with anything
    • Cannot attack survivors nor grab them
    • Gain a tremendous speed bonus
    • Become Undetectable
    • Completely invisible
    • Unlocks the Ambush Ability

    Ambush Ability

Usable after being out of the survivor's line of sight for a few seconds.

Lose all effects of being in Predictor Mode, but all survivors within 24 meters are exposed for 45 seconds.

Once a survivor is put into the dying state by any means, regress back to Evil Within ll.

People really think its a kids game? sure it isnt super violent or anything, but its lore and all is definitely not for kids, and some of the animatronics do have some unnerving designs, for me it was mainly Withered Bonnie, idk him lacking the face made him a lot scarier for me, same goes when he doesnt have his eyes and its just empty black holes.

Theres also the 4th game which is probably the most scary of the games since its heavily centered around sound rather than visual gameplay.

Anyway if anything it would rate FNAF a "T" at the very least, cause its definitely not for kids.

I could see a chapter fitting though, Springtrap would fit decently well due to his design being so... unnerving, and also that he is basically the main antagonist of the series, making him the best candidate out of all the animatronics, besides Trickster broke the standards already for what fits and what doesnt, with his colorful design.

One thing though would be how he would attack, since he doesnt really have a weapon and punching wouldnt really work, theres that concept of him using an axe and based on his lore of a animatronic possessed by a serial killer, i guess it would fit.

"FNAF is a kids game, so it won't fit DBD"

This is just one of many things players say to make sure any idea of a FNAF Chapter gets shutdown. Another one is, "FNAF is so cringe, let's not ruin DBD please." And there's plenty more reasons players use to immediately shutdown FNAF ideas.

I really want a FNAF Chapter, more than anything, but I can't see it happening when the majority of the community shutdown players who suggest a FNAF Chapter.

Honestly, the developers could make a scary FNAF Chapter. If we gave a FNAF Chapter a chance, I don't think the developers would disappoint and players will be proven wrong about how good FNAF would be in DBD.

I’m gonna get right to the point. It’s hands down either candy man or springtrap, but I’d assume it’s springtrap honestly. Not to bash Candyman of course, but it seems more like springtrap will be new killer. Here’s why I think this way:

-In some livestream (I can’t remember which one, please forgive me) it was stated that the new killer would have a unique pallet and breakable wall animation. Springtrap is a corpse-robot hybrid. He won’t be able to break pallets with two kicks like most other killers, and the same can be said for breakable walls. (Also Candyman would be able to break walls/pallets easily with his feet.)

-He’s one of the most requested killers for DBD! While yes apparently the more people ask for something in DBD, the less likely it is to be added, but come on, the signs that that may not be the case is brighter than the lights on tricksters stage!

-Scott is a troll sometimes. He said that there was no FnaF collabs this year, he also stated fall guys and another game, so he may have been telling the truth. The truth being there’s no collabs with fall guys or among us I think it was.

All in all, both killers are welcomed by me! I’d love to see either of them in the game. (As long as there arn't any game breaking bugs 😜)

Have fun dreaming, it's likely not going to happen. Any and everyone who wants to get their hopes up gets immediately shutdown by majority of the community.

Honestly, with the amount of unreasonable hate FNAF gets within our community, I can't see a FNAF Chapter ever being added to Dead by Daylight. Just waiting for the usual "FNAF is a kids game, so it won't fit in DBD"

These comments are a blant disregard to the fact DH can be used for distance. It doesn't take skill to know when you miscalculated a loop, then press E for distance and reach pallet / vault. Let's not act like this isn't something new because this is what people are talking about, not dodging hits at point-blank range.

I dont know how or even if they can balance the game at this point. What I can tell you is buffing solo to be as strong as swf will cause the killer basis to plummet. That might actually be even worse. Which is why I think solo's should just git gud over getting buffs. If you have 4 survivors who can't talk to one another but they are competent. You can beat the killer.

By design, Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical game which requires minor roles to coordinate together against the power role. Doesn't matter how skillful minor roles are because if they can't coordinate together, the power role will take the advantage and often leading to their victory. This is why, "Git gud" isn't a valid counterpoint because no communication in solo queue will make even the best survivors look as if they are inexperienced.

When you have an imbalance of power for solo queue and SWF, where do begin to balance the game? You can balance around the average, but still — solos will still be left behind while SWF can destroy killers like tomorrow because the average is shared between solos and SWF.

I'm not asking for every and all information perks to be basekit for solo queue, just a few things to make life easier:

    • Reveal all survivor auras while a survivor is hooked [Compensation: Killers get BBQ aura reading for free] Kindred will reveal the killer's aura and give you a repair speed bonus if there's no survivor within 32 meters from the hook; BBQ will expose the survivor with the most amount of hook states remaining for 35/40/45 seconds upon a hook.
    • Totem counter for tracking totems [Compensation: All hex perks get a major buff and double the amount of totems that spawn into the map] Small Game gains / loses a token for each totem within a 32 meter range to you. When a generator is completed, gain a 6%/8%/10% cleanse speed bonus for each token in your possession until the next generator that's completed. Once the exit gates are powered, the auras of all totems are revealed to you.

That's really it, just make some information basekit and give the killer some compensation. Are my ideas for compensation bad? Probably, but the idea is that the killer would get more powerful in exchange for survivors having information basekit.

  • @EvilJoshy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2403406#Comment_2403406

I did not say anything about removing swf. I said when the game was made it wasnt intended that you be able to talk to one another. In fact, swf wasnt even in the game at launch. It was added later.

As for bringing solo and swf together and killer being compensated accordingly. Killer rarely is compensated accordingly. Or even compensated for that matter. Which is why I feel solo should not be brought up to swfs lvl of power.

I never said that you did, but when you said, "Headsets were not intended to be required for gameplay" — I told you, "So, you going to knock on BHVR's door and ask them to remove SWF?" to imply the fact that SWF isn't going anywhere and that this issue needs to be addressed other than dismissing it because you think it shouldn't exist. So, what's the plan of action to fixing the imbalance of power between solos and SWF? You want to keep the imbalance of power, making solos miserable to play while SWF can still destroy killers? This is pretty unhealthy for the game because the developers can't balance the game when survivors fluctuate in power. If the developers can balance the power between solos and SWF, then killers can properly be balanced because of that.

  • @EvilJoshy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2403085#Comment_2403085

Your werent meant to have communication. Headsets were not intended to be required for gameplay. There's also perks that help give information such as kindred, bond, empathy.

So, you going to knock on BHVR's door and ask them to remove SWF? I doubt you will get far with that, and it would kill the game because a lot of people want SWF to play with their friends.

The next solution is to bring solos and SWF together by giving solos information that SWF already have, then compensate killers accordingly.

  • Even experienced survivors will get screwed over by the flaws of solo queue because they have no communication to coordinate. If this meant making killer really powerful as compensation, I'll take it so that solo queue isn't painful to play.

By the way, I don't care if I get sacrificed, just want decent games that don't end with five generators remaining. I want to feel like I got owned by the killer, not because of the no communication in solo queue that carried the killer.

Until doors are opposite of each other I say keep hatch. Killer has the opportunity to close hatch that's why grabs were removed. If you have two doors on the same wall, as well as the opportunity to close and grab then there is no hope. You killed 3/4 survivors take the W. Keys are obviously a different story

Doors pretty much spawn on opposite ends of the map, just only on indoor maps. Otherwise, they usually spawn on adjacent walls or on the same wall.

I'm getting really frustrated with him since the buffs... I feel like he got balanced for high level play and that leaves the rest of us at lower levels in a bad spot. Idk. It feels braindead as he just goes bing bong mid-chase and it beats damn near everything, including sprint burst, or a successful mindgame at a pallet/loop 'cuz he's just SO fast.

Is there some counterplay I'm not aware of? Any suggestions? I'm seeing him like 5-10x a day, and I don't even want to play the match now when I see him. Such a pain.

    Wraith Tips

Don't repair in deadzones unless you have SB to reach a loop in time.

Wraith is essentially a M1 killer after he has uncloaked, treat him as such until he cloaks.

Don't camp unsafe pallets, he will uncloak and hit you before you can react.

After dropping a pallet or vaulting a window, continuously vault the obstacle to force him to uncloak. Windows will not get blocked since you are not in a chase.

I think pretty much everyone saw the recent videos about tricksters insane oppressive 1v1 game (especially with certain addons).

Can we all agree that trickster is a complete failure? 1v1 is busted and 1v4 still to weak. Noone has fun.

Trickster isn't all that bad, just need further tweaking.

The common complaint is that his map pressure is pretty lacking, and now, he's oppressive in a chase.

You would solve map pressure by making laceration decay tied to doing objectives such as generators and healing — this would slowly reduce laceration. If the killer showed up at your generator before your laceration decayed to a safe level, you're essentially getting hooked. The only way to instantly remove laceration is to heal to a higher healthstate.

As for the chase oppressiveness, we just increase the amount blades to fill the laceration meter by one, and because we changed how laceration decay works.

Finally, make trick blades basekit and allow main event to be held indefinitely. There you go, we have a killer that has the best of all worlds.

Its undeniably that for both sides there are really bad perks and really strong perks, so it got me thinking. Should we buff average perks to the level of meta perks or nerf meta perks to the level of average perks

Personally i feel the latter is better. if we nerf perks on the level of average perks then there would be no fuss over one side using the best perks. it also could lead to more of a perk diversity since most perks would be on the same level.

    What do you think?

Here's what I really want for perks:

    • Perks that encourages fun gameplay [spreading hooks, hooking all survivors once, safe unhooks] or discourages anti-fun gameplay [camping, tunneling, genrushing, hook bombing] should be borderline OP
    • Endgame perks [No One Escapes Death, No Way Out, No One Left Behind, Hope] should be borderline OP, especially for killer perks
    • Other than that, perks should only be borderline OP if they are either a hex or have tough prerequisites to balance them out [Mettle of Man, Devour Hope]
    • If perks meet multiple categories to be borderline OP, they should be OP at that point — No One Escapes Death is a perfect example, it's a hex, endgame perk, and discourages anti-fun gameplay

The difference being that it's significantly more impactful for a killer to be robbed like this than a survivor.

Actually it's equally as impactful for both sides, a survivor going down too fast can mean the difference in escaping or not. It's not just a killer thing, survivors are also on a timer.

Besides, you didn't get robbed, you never earned the down / hit according to the server.

I thought exactly the same when reading "customize Chase music". And we all know, when you can replace the Chase Music with your own Music, people will replace it with "nothing" to get rid of Chase Music.

And it should be no surprise that the Community, who makes their game look like ######### by adding Filters or stretched resolution will also use Mods which give an unfair Advantage. I guess there are Killers out there, who just replace every Survivor Model with pink figures which can be spot easily.

This just made my day, "pink survivors". Thank you. 😂

    That's to be expected.

People saw the DS nerf, thought it was useless now and stopped running it.Killers noticed that and tunneling increased, which is why survivors started to use DS again

Which is why I never stopped using it, even after the nerf became there's still loopholes to keeping it active while progressing the game. Conditions don't account for everything.

When I get unhooked, the rescuer can heal me without deactivating DS. If the killer comes back, I still have it handy.

In a single match i've got a hit through a pallet 3 times and saw the survivor down but the game decides that nah, let's give him another chance. I don't know what hit validation have they changed in this patch but AT LEAST don't show on my screen that i have downed the survivor for instants later have him be up again not only making me frustrated but losing chase distance because i thought he was down. Now you don't only get robbed of grabs, you apparently get robbed of hits too.

This is pretty much the survivor's equivalent of getting through windows, yet you're still getting hit from what seems like thin air.

Welcome to the latency club, survivors been here for quite a while, but we'll make room for the killers and we'll share our horror stories around the campfire!

You don't want to play it, its too confusing. It literally gives me a headache every time I try to play through it that I just give up and let the killer have their way with me so I could move on. I will never complain about Midwich again, this map is the worst thing to happen to Dbd.

I can sense a map rework coming! 😝

    Melodious Murder Trickster had:

    7 Knives to Down

    Blade Decay After 20 Seconds

Max Throw Speed Bonus of 33%

    60 Knives with a max of 75

    "Buffed" Trickster has:

    6 Knives to Down

    Blade Decay After 10 seconds

Max Throw Speed Bonus of 25%

    44 Knives with a max of 56

That one extra knife to down is NOT worth the drawbacks at all.

Trickster is everywhere, he suffers at map pressure and doesn't do so well during certain chases. He thrives at dead zones, but what killer doesn't?

    TRICKSTER

    Blade Inventory — 60 Knifes

Laceration Damage — 7 Knifes + No Damage Speed Boost

Main Event — 30 Knifes + No Activation Timer

Laceration Decay — While repairing or healing taking 32 seconds to fully decay. Fully decays if healed to a higher health state, and decays by 50% through a basic attack.

Anything not changed here is remains unaffected.

What do we get from this? A Trickster who will be able to stack laceration across the team. Only when they are meaningfully progressing the game, they lose laceration, but that comes at a cost of the killer finding you and finishing you off. You don't get a speed boost from taking damage nor do you lose laceration during a chase, survivors are expected to maintain distance or face the harsh price. Each knife becomes much more powerful, and main event is essentially a no man's land.

Endgame is the time when camping is supposed to be acceptable. At this point you’ve got nothing else to do but secure kills. This person was just being a salty loser over the fact that they died in a video game.

We're not sure, HOPEFULLY they make some changes because there are some glaring issues like the new no way out not even working... survivor animations being broken, and bill's textures being placeholders.

Thanks, I been checking everything and haven't seen anything about the release date! Just thought I would ask about the changes since y'all already knew information that I couldn't find! 😝

  • Any changes made from the PTB? Sorry, transparency is pretty low within the community. 😝

The person who DCs is NOT rewarded.

And I will not change my opinion on that one - I have 6200 hours and it happened exactly 3 times (2 times as Survivor, 1 time as Killer) that a Survivor DCed to give another Survivor Hatch. But I guess I am the exception again and it happens every third game for everyone else, eh?

This is so rare, it is not worth to put any minute into this. BHVR has far bigger issues to solve with the game.

Then, I want you to start explaining to me as to why we still have survivors doing it? Oh, I know... I got the answer for you! It's essentially a backdoor (which ignores certain game mechanics) to allow their teammate to escape, which normal they wouldn't.

    To address your other points.

Hours doesn't mean anything, sorry to break it to you. You can be the most luckiest person and never have to deal with it, or the most unlucky person in existence who has to put up with this daily. It doesn't matter where you stand in that spectrum, nothing, absolutely nothing, will justify DCing for the hatch.

That's what I'm trying to tell you, DCing for the hatch is bad because it encourages a negative behavior. However, here you are saying it's fine to DC for the hatch because it's rare. What? Are you serious?

I agree that BHVR have higher priorities than fixing this, I completely get that, but to say it's fine just because it's rare? C'mon... that's just outrageous.

Am I misinterpreting anything? Please tell me that I am because this doesn't sound right at all. I'm not trying to sound rude and my apologies if I do sound that way, but this is ridiculous, I'm not going to agree with DCing regardless of how rare and why it's used (with the exception of irl scenarios).

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

This is really a non-issue. Yes, it happens. Yes, it is annoying.

But it is not really worth to invest time into this, given how rarely it happens. And if a SWF is pulling that off, they will all be on the DC-Penalty (if it is enabled).

It will not happen on a regular basis that the same person will give up all their points they got this round AND increase their DC-Penalty, just to give someone Hatch.

While in a perfect world this would be fixed, IMO BHVR has other, more important issues to solve.

Doesn't matter how rarely it happens, the matter of the fact is that DCing for the hatch is rewarding a negative behavior. Can we let that sink in? Survivors are actually being rewarded to DC; why is this okay again?

The fact that this is rare means they won't be DCing often, and their waiting penalty will be minimal of 5 minutes if they don't DC elsewhere.

Honestly, if someone DCs to open the hatch, the hatch shouldn't open at all and the EGC automatically begins. This way, you're not getting ANYTHING from DCing, like it should be.

FYI this is not JUST a survivor issue - had quite a few killers DC past few weeks. I play both survivor and killer and the amount of DCs from both sides is idiotic.

Yeah, I had some killers Disconnect when they lost both totems within the first minute. Others would Disconnect over other reasons such a recent game I had, a Huntress Disconnected because she missed all her hatchets on me and another survivor. Another one left right when someone cleansed their NoED and the list goes on.

Then I have solo queue where my teammates rage after going down within the first 30 seconds of the game.

It gets kinda funny knowing why they Disconnected (unless it's a irl situation, but those are supposed to be rare) and how immature they are.

DC Penalties cannot come back sooner.

  • @Friendly_Blendette said:

Like people complain that he can instadown you any time when they just stalked your Solo Q teammates but like Bubba and Billy (with a bit more effort) can do that without stalking. If anything Bubba and Billy are more powerful than myers in tier 3. Myers in tier 3 is still just an m1 killer, he has a slightly longer lunge but thats it. Billy has way more mobility and Bubba chews through pallets and is easier to get a hit with at loops compared to Myers. I just don't know how with an ultra rare addon that makes them have to stalk for a pretty big extra amount just to do a shittier job of Bubba can be op.

Neither are OP, and Myers needs an update since he's pretty lacking compared to other killers.

To explain more thoroughly, what things do killers do that make you realize how screwed you might be? Personally what makes my tense instinct kick in is seeing a really early snipe from a huntress, or a nurse who downs somebody with their first 2 blinks. Devour hope/NOED activating are also pretty "oh crap" moments.

Seeing my teammates go down within seconds. 😅

If you changed the obsession mechanic it would mess up all of the obsession perks in the game. Being the obsession really doesn't change that much in a normal game.

It does absolutely nothing, except for the fact that it discourages tunneling because killers risk DS if they do so. Before where there was no obsession, unless an obsession perk was used, there would be games where no obsession was selected, and it would be a HUGE green light for the killer to tunnel knowing that no obsession perks were being used — DS being included. Usually killers don't tunnel, but in certain games, killers would really take advantage of it and would lead to some very boring games.

They should do both; DC penalty, and prevent the Hatch from opening.

Screw over both people in a DC-For-Hatch sandwich. 😁

I agree, and as much as I really want the second part, it's not going to happen because I can't see the developers adding such a thing, unfortunately.
