Click to win hatch needs to go(KEY NERF NEEDED)
Now that things have been updating past most problems i've been having im still looking at this and why there's no activation you click and win the match. get rid of it it's not fair. Nerf keys
Especially since you can't grab them mid jump anymore for whatever unknown reason

Are you talking about keys or the hatch in general?
Because if it's keys, I agree. You shouldn't be able to just escape the Killer for free if you bring a key, even if they are nerfed right now, realistically you're not going to be running Franklin's every game on every killer.

No get out of here with that crap, this is blatantly an over powered survivor problem. If killers had something like that which they did it was Mori's and they got changed, You have a pink and it's instant, gotta go
The hatch is there to give the final survivor hope. The devs don't want a situation where the final survivor just has to give up. That's not engaging gameplay.
It's not giving up, and in any case we should be allowed to grab you if you don't jump in time, they took that out too. You can't sit here and justify all these ways to get out of every situation for survs, sometimes you lose. Killer is a whole different ball game
No the first part of what you said. Keys and the opening of hatch is heavily unbalanced, you click and win. Espeically with a key a multiple people leaving
Mass people bringing keys and rushing hatch is also not "engaging gameplay" you're talking from one side
Until doors are opposite of each other I say keep hatch. Killer has the opportunity to close hatch that's why grabs were removed. If you have two doors on the same wall, as well as the opportunity to close and grab then there is no hope. You killed 3/4 survivors take the W. Keys are obviously a different story

How were mories like hatch?
Mories used to be able to be used at the beginning of the match, within a minute if you downed the first survivor quick enough, hatch is a near-end game mechanic.
KEYS not just the hatch itself people.
and Entering a hatch ends the game for the survivor in victory, mori ended the game for survivor in loss. So yes they are very similar

Here's hoping the Grand Key Rework TM is going to improve things.
I mean then it would turn into if they can actually unlock the Hatch and it takes a little time and escape along with the risk of getting grabbed out, just like gens. That's fair to me

Ok, how do the key make you win? If all 4 get out, they need to do 5 gens for the hatch to spawn, how is it a one-click-win?
And if only one gets out, and you have a 3k, how is it a win for survivor at all?
I actually dont understand what you are talking about. A key doesnt win you games for one click.
1 Survivor getting Hatch is fine. It's when 2-3 Survivors get a free escape with 1 gen left that's the issue. So many times I've managed to get a 3-gen going and suddenly they win for free.
Ok i don't mean to be rude but can you please proof read your post before posting it. At first many people got confused about what you were saying and if you were talking about hatch or keys.

Imo a change to keys would be to "repair/unlock" the hatch which should take 15 seconds to open with hard skill checks if you miss 2 in a row the key breaks to a broken key. The killers should get a hatch imagine that shows the % of the hatch completion in red.
This still doesn't solve the the 3gen + key = 2 out for free problem, it just makes it so it cannot be done in the killer's face.
I fell like you should not be able to see the hatch as killer or survivor unless theres one survivor left. 4man key escapes and instantly knowing where the hatch is is unfair and takes out the main purpose of the hatch, which was a 1on1 to where the survivor had to try to find it for the killer. Survivors automatically knowing where hatch is is heavily unbalanced and needs a change. As for keys, yeah just remove them.
Maybe have the hatch respawn at a different location after using a key and can't be opened for maybe 8 seconds?
You can literally sit in the corner of the map, do nothing and escape with a key. You escaped and won. Maybe you were even able to get 1 or 2 mates out as well. The only thing a killer can do against it is bring Franklin and hope the key isn't predropped somewhere safe.

I don't know if anyone ever told you this but you not going to get a 4K every game dude. Plus if you haven't downed anyone by the time the 4th generator gets done then you deserve to lose

quick fix, it doesnt spawn till all gens are done or the last survivor is left alone in the trial.
(3 people dead) until they have a fix for hatch.

totally would not pass, but its what they did to moris, seems fair enough. even as survivor getting a key escape when i find one feels bad.

Keys are a pretty overrated problem. I play a lot of both killer and survivor and really don't see very many people escaping by using keys. Sure it happens, but really not that often. Probably about as much as I see a Devour Hope mori, which isn't too frequently. The solution is Franklin's if you are that worried about it.
So, if even one survivor escapes its a loss to you?
To me, 0 and 1 kill is a loss, 2 k are a draw (which is the balance idea of the devs) and 3+k are a win. And usually i dont slug for hatch, i just kill the 3rd and race the last one.
Its interesting that the idea for a balanced match by the devs is a 2k 2 escape match. That means you, by your own metric, can only win consistantly if you are being carried heavily by the bad matchmaking that matches you against way weaker survivors. Interesting how dependend killers become to the flaws of the game.
Whats so bad about keys again? They still have to do 1 more gen than people alive...don't tunnel someone out right away and you'll almost never encounter it. And even then if 4 gens are done and you know the 5th is getting worked then put the key holder next on the hook? Keys and Moris were never equal so don't cry about that moris cut the killers work in half survivors still have to do the gens to make the hatch even spawn.
With the way they buffed Franklins, I am going to assume that is your nerf to keys.

what do you mean guy? A key without charges can still unlock the hatch i believe. Purples have like 5 seconds so nobody bothers to use that anyway

Keys with zero charges can no longer open the hatch. It's in the mid chapter patch notes.
So then all you have to do is not use up all the charges and it's still a click and win scenario
I had a match recently where I was Trickster. Someone opened the hatch with a key mid chase, I closed it, got into another chase, and they did it again. Two keys.

Proposed solution. Don't change keys... BUT, make it so that hatch DOES NOT SPAWN until there is only one survivor left.
I don’t know if we’re gonna see anymore changes to keys in the future but this is all we’re getting right now.
Equip Franklin’s and camp the key when you knock it out of someones hand for maybe a minute in a half and the charges will be depleted.

It’s just a game, some of you take it too seriously. It’s incredible how distraught many of you are over keys in this game

I can pretty much guarantee they will never get rid of the hatch mechanic. It makes sense for this type of game.
As for them re-visiting keys, sure I can agree with that. To outright remove something (mechanic-wise) is not BHVR’s style.
