Lmao you're just part of the cycle. killer gets bullied > killer decides to be toxic > survivors then decide to be toxic > survivors start bullying killers.

I second this. I have no idea what OP is even trying to get at here. The point seems to be changing with every single response.
Imo I kinda agree. Swf on comms are stressful. Not "playing with your friends excuse" but the free info they receive without a perk.

Pretty arrogant to say that. So you think that you are on the best level you can ever be?
Against a random swf itll be fair but 4 very organized swf on comms is very stressful. And imo its unfair for the killer to a certain extent. Its not about who outplays who but the free information swf on comms receive.

Nah I like to play all matches out. Best way to improve is to fight good players
You can't improve becuase there's no way to control comms. Its not just about outplaying anyone its about the free information they get. Can't really get better with something you have no control over.
-
I do gens. Nah but seriously ill give a kill if the killer doesn't get a hook or kill.
-
A killer who is disliked means they're not push overs. Thats a good thing. She just came out wait a bit before she gets nerfed.
-
Main reason I use dead hard. A high reward low risk perk. Only downside is not using it correctly and dead harding in an open area. It does need a rework or nerf. I don't know what though.
-
Its a smart play. If a killer knows that survivor used ds before or on their death hook its smart to take them out. When survivors are body blocking that team mate even better it shows that they're scared of losing them.
-
Childs play
-
Imo almost all killers have way to negate perks and others that benefit them. Like survivors can use calm spirit to negate doctors power or clowns. Iron will counter spirit etc. Plague punishes survivors who don't cleanse. So it makes sense that her power is based around cleansing not healing.
-
I dont mind going against swf. I do mind when they all have the same second chance perks with voice comms. That its not fun. People wanna have fun with friends but why can't killers also enjoy the game? Best way to balance swf is add comms to dbd witht the option to mute the person and give killers more power.
-
I'm sure they look at feedback but the thing is even if lets say Mandy gives feed back from us the decisions most likely come from the top. So its hard to change the game when other devs don't want to implement it. But hey the statistics show pinhead performing but nurse is not. Should we buff nurse?
-
Because its not fun for the survivors

As a person who has played this atleast once a day for ATLEAST 2 hours a day for the past month I can honestly say playing survivor, especially solo, is EXTREMELY frustrating. In 10 matches played I average about 4 or 5 games where I am hard tunneled off of a hook and atleast 1 game where Im camped. This game is not "one sided" in favor or survivors only a killer main would say that. A survivor gets penalized for spamming a window. NOTHING happens to a killer for sitting in front of someone. The real problem is with some of this community. The game resets everyone's ranks on the 13th of every month, now that the game is free on epic store there's about to be alot of noobs playing this you think they are gonna stick around when every killer they go against is tunneling and camping? It is HURTING the game and pushing away potential new players from sticking around I know I'm getting quite sick of it already.
For some background of myself I also play dbd more than I should. That being said I've played since the clown came out. And have been making it to iri rank 1 on both sides since then. I get it its frustrating to get camped or tunneled out the game since I also only play solo and have been playing swf once in a while. Honestly I prefer solo sometimes but thats just me. If you're a decent survivor you could easily loop the killer for 3 gens. Yeah your team mates might be bad but thats the mmr. If you're playing 2 hours a day you should take a break from survivor and try killer. Right now survivor is stronger than ever with boons and people in general getting better at the game. If 1 survivor leaves then its no problem someone else takes the spot. But if 1 killer leaves? That will hurt or potentially kill the game. Thats why im a bit bias to killer because killer is frustrating and most killers are underwhelming. However survivor is easy and less frustrating if you're a decent looper. So yes I do think the current game is in the favor of survivors more than killer.

It is immediately obvious that you are playing as a survivor while sitting in the locker for the whole game.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2670487#Comment_2670487
You probably don't play this game
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2670635#Comment_2670635
It is a pity that the killer can play toxic when he wants and without incurring some kind of punishment
And its immediately obvious that you're someone who wants every single win served on a platter. All youe history is constant whining about killers this and that and how survivors need to be buffed. Maybe you should change your name to survivor_main_322. But the current balance of the game cannot have an extra perk for survivors who make bad plays. It would reward the idea of the unhooked survivor taking hits and body blocking the survivor who unhooked because this DS mechanic could easily be exploited. The thing about the DS being basekit is it would be an unbalanced mess.
-
Making DS basekit would make killer more frustrating and make the game already more survivor sided than it is. Deal with it and move onto the next game.
-
Nah I wouldn't vote for them imo. If they truly cared it would show. They haven't done anything to stand out. Maybe if they added crossplay that would be huge but is still in the works or never coming. (Except for maybe stadia and switch to steam)
-
I'm sure f13 would still be somewhere up there. If they didn't stop cuz of the lawsuits. Honestly this type of mindset is what hurts the games more than help. Play the game and see if you like it. I hope it does well. People gotta realize its not dbd its another game.
-
Not really id pick huntress over slinger anytime of the day. Slinger is the worst ranged killers imo. He was nerfed to the ground kinda like Billy, no one wants to touch him.
-
Idk ima try vhs and play it. Hopefully it does well enough so behaviour starts trying again.

90% of my threads are literally about buffing solo and I still dont think swf is disgusting.
Swf isn't disgusting. 3rd party comms are. When I play swf I don't like using them because they're such a disadvantage to the killer. If solo gets a in game voice comm with the ability to mute others then in return killers should get buffed.

Try playing soloQ survivor. It will change your world.
i play solo q most of the time. Its not as bad as people say. If you're a bad looper you're gonna do bad. But if you're decent you'll be fine. Yeah your team might be either terrible or good. Imo I escape at least 50% of the time, some days it goes higher. Its a 1v4 the survivors already have the advantage.
-
Funny how I haven't played against a gunslinger in forever and I'm playing mostly survivor atm.
-
V2 is actually good
-
Boon totems need a 1 time use boom done.
-
A good indication of high mmr is when all the survivors are efficient loopers and do the objective fast as possible. They also don't 3 gen, counter camping, all have ds and bt and know when to body block. Most of the efficient teams are swf with comms so it makes sense.
-
As someone who plays both sides i dont think the alchemist ring is too strong. Only bad survivors will get caught by the rush. The point of blight is to not get out positioned. He's a heavily rng killer and if you're so bad that you get caught out positioned every time its not the add on. Its you.
-
I mean trickster doesn't look scary at all lmao. At least with the artist she's a bit scary.
-
If survivors got as much bp as killers then there wouldn't be a reason to play killer.
-
You can just go with a slowdown build. I run STBFL, Ruin, Undying and pop. Been trying blood favor as well. Replacing undying.

So you are asking to make boon totems one time use whilst keeping the current snuff time? You don’t see how that’s an issue? What if killer hexes could be snuffed out instantly? That is not how balance works..
Time off boons are time off objectives, no matter how you try to spin it. It’s not a survivor’s fault that you chose not to snuff a boon and let them capitalize on it. Killers complained when survivors just held M1 on gens, so the devs added more objectives.
That survivor you are chasing is not gonna have enough time to heal even with a boon whilst in a chase with you. Sure, it affects hit and run methods where you just hit multiple survivors and leave them all injured. Metas are always changing, so maybe your playstyle should too?
The thing is though totems are a second objective no matter what survivor mains say. But blessing isn't an objective. But you never said how boons are fair you jsut keep saying I'm wrong lol. Even though 95% of survivors and killers say boons are busted. Just like undying was a problem perk and I'm sure you thought undying was a broken perk in the past lol. But you use 14 seconds for a perk that will heal you 100% taking off time healing and self caring. Its actually faster to self care using the totem than using the actual perk. Do you not see a problem? Or are you just pretending not too? Cleasing and blessing a totem is 2 different things. Blessing a boon totem is a no risk high reward and its unlimited. The thing is with iron will is very meta so losing a survivor is not hard. Ive escaped multiple chases to heal at the boon totem. But if the killer destroys it guess what ima find a totem. So tell me since you're hard defending boons tell me why you think its balanced besides saying my way of thinking is wrong and so is my playstyle.

Are the snuffing times for killers gonna be changed to reflect the nerf? Considering they’ll be functioning the same way as hexes if that change is implemented.
Why would it? The problem is with totems they're are unlimited uses. All it takes is 1 boon totem to be somewhere in the map for survivors to take advantage of it. If the killer is going against good survivors theres no way a killer is going to prioritize boons. You need hooks and kills to win the game. Doing boons isn't going to help the killer win. If a survivor is doing boons and the killer focuses boons guess what? the time they spent snuffing out the boon could've been better used. The difference in survivors doing totems is they have no other objective besides healing, gens , and unhooking. Besides that they don't bother with cleansing totems. But I'm sure the boon totem nerf is coming soon. For me tho I've been focusing on survivor and less killer. Becuase of how unfair it is. But tell me how you justify boon totems and how they're fair. 14 seconds is nothing for a killer to work with.

So what are your propositions to changing the current situation without screwing over the rest of the player base that aren’t as you call “high mmr”?
Change boons to 1 time use. Ez fix. Nothing changes just makes the perks fair.

14 seconds is not long enough? That’s 14 seconds off gens and objectives. On top of that, unless they brought a medkit and healing perks it takes time to heal up. Providing you didn’t already find the survivor.
If you’re letting 4 survivors constantly boon totems whilst doing gens and getting unhooks, darling i’m sorry to break it to you but that’s on you….
Right . but you also forget that killers have to chase, protect gens, find and hook survivors. Now totems too? This is why people should play killer at high mmr. Just to see how good survivors play.
-
Broken keys should be removed asap. And purple or skeleton keys are in a good spot atm. Maybe should open the gates quicker or another ability. Hatch is a problem but idk how they could buff keys.

spoil the game for others because of this
just be a stuffy person
So what about the killers enjoyment? Only survivors should have fun right?
-
Tunneling is a good strat. Always has been but now its even more common. This is because of how the game is becoming more frustrating on killers. The easiest way to have a good game is to get 1 person out asap. Usually the weakest link.

requiring to be injured is a huge downside.
Also, unlike every other exhaustion perk, the distance is very minimal.
So yeah, I’d say there are definitely downsides.
Being injured can sometimes be a benefit with dh. Because you have that second chance. And not waste time healing.
The distance is enough to get that extra distance with the pallet/window. Not to mention the invincibility frames and the new hit reg. Its too strong. So there's no downsides. The only downside I can think of is getting unlucky or you're not aware and get caught in an open area. I use dh religious so I know how strong it is.
-
Dead hard needs to be reworked. Its the only problematic perk atm that offers no downsides.

Then crossplay should be between consoles only, because blight techs are clearly an unintended unfair advantage one platform has over another.
I mean theres and option to opt out of cross play use that if you can't go against pc players.
-
They need to be 1 time use. And not be spammed. That or bring back old undying it would only be fair.
-
Nah he's fine. If blight uses techs then that means that they have practiced blight alot. Just because console can't do it doesn't mean pc players should be punished.
-
Nemesis is ok. Blighted ph looks trash tbh. Just looks like the regular skin but some yellow spots on his sword. Nothing else changed.
-
The dust kicking would kill her but we have someone saying we need it lol. Just get better dude, at facing spirit. Ive escaped alot more often against spirits.
-
Im a trickster/killer main and he is not fun for the survivors. Trickster should be rewarded for using his power but current trickster is boring and has no counterplay at small loops. Make him get fatigue when he spams too many knives. Survivors should have the ability to counterplay him. Then make his main event shorter because there's no counterplay if you're too close to him. Also the knifes should only put the mend status on injured survivors not down them 0 counterplay. Rework add ons so they're not too strong.
-
What they needed to do was rework dead hard.
-
The best thing about slinger is how opressesive he was at chases 1v1 mainly. If you played very well you got rewarded. His downfall was and still is gen defense. He can't pressure multiple gens being 110%. Imo he should have at least 2 bullets basekit. That way he's punished for missing but doesn't lose ground if he has another chance.

Then use cannibal and bypass that thing altogether, dead isn't very strong. It's a situational perk. As killer, you need to take away those conditions and ensure a 4k every game
Play a killer to bypass a perk? No. Right there should tell you that the perk needs changing. Also leatherface isn't as good when you play against good survivors. As survivor i always use DH becuase I know how strong it is.
-
@PalletsAndHooks said:
Dead hard sucks, just bait it out and it's not a problem. If you lunge every hit, you're gonna get derped.
At high level is not as easy to just "bait it out". High level survivors know when and where they should dead hard to a safe window or pallet and extending the loop even more. "baiting it out" only works if they get caught out positioned which you will not see against good survivors.
