"Behaviour can do no wrong!" Come on man.
-
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I thought the survivor mightve used a perk to hide scratch marks but its inconsistent.
-
Imagine saying "She is the most broken character in the game". Nurse takes alot of skill to play. People who can do extremely well with nurse have put alot of effort into mastering her. But hey let's nerf another killer because survivors "can't have fun" only at the expense of the killer.
-
I would use noed and infectious.
-
Gens should have 2 tick marks on the progression bar. When you reach the tick marks the skill checks that appear on the glyphs should appear but a bit slower.
-
Boons needed to be nerfed. Imo they should have never come into the game. The killer has to chase, kick gens, patrol hooks, gens, play more mind games on survivors that require time. Which is important in this game. Adding "do bones" for killers would add another game play mechanic that isn't necessary for the killer side.
-
Its fine the way it is.
-
They can't even release a chapter without bugs. Adding another game mode would destroy the game lol.

Dull Totems are not an objective, generators are. I'm not saying I like that, but that is how it is. You seem to not want to bring up that you can easily lose a game by just doing 5 dull totems and then find out that the killer didn't even have noed. You also are afraid to bring up that it can guarantee terrible killers a free kill on a survivor who should have escaped.
Just because you feel like the game is balanced around Soloque doesn't mean SoloQ is hell on earth with 0 communication with your teammate who you rely on. Most good players play with their friends, and that will never change unless they completely remove SwF from the game. Which is never going to happen.
1) No, you should not be forced to run a perk, especially since the best totem counter perk is a teachable (detective's hunch) and new players wont have it. And don't bring up killers being "forced" to run slowdown perks, because I also agree that it is dumb that killers have to do that too. Being forced to run perks is an issue, don't just accept it and tell other people to fall in line.
2) The NOED totem can easily be right next to the hooked survivor, or extremely hidden on a large map, and if you are already down 1 or 2 teammates, and your last teammate is on the hook, good luck getting that totem. A lot of killers with m2 powers can easily hide their noed until they are able to snowball next to an exit gate.
3) So ruin needs a buff? My argument was that getting at least one free kill is at least worth a single perk slot. Yeah, obviously 4 perks is better than 3 but saying you only have 3 perks when you are running noed is like saying you only have 3 perks if you use corrupt intervention or blood warden, which is a completely ridiculous argument
4) I swear you are just ignoring my argument at this point. I don't not cleanse dull totems because "i'M lAzY", its because it wastes SOOOO much time that you NEED to use on generators to escape. Games against really killers are often very challenging, and there is ZERO time to do 5 bones across the map which can easily take upwards of 2 minutes, which is one and half generators.
The bottom part of your post is completely ridiculous and leaves out all of my arguments and you just beat up a strawman that you made yourself. Personally I don't care if I go down to a good killer who has noed, the issue is with ######### killers that could never down me for a million years suddenly get a speed boost and you get one shot. Not to mention trying to take a hit for my injured teammate only to find out that he has noed. I don't understand why killer mains get so angry when survivors do their only objective. No, actually, I dont need to spend 3 minutes doing bones just to find out that you didn't even have any hex perks. What a boring waste of time.
I know that you like to ignore my arguments, so I'll spell it out for you right here:
1) TERRIBLE KILLERS SPAM NOED IN EVERY BUILD BECAUSE THEY CANNOT GET A KILL WITHOUT IT
2) YOU CAN EASILY THROW A WINABLE GAME BY CLEANSING 5 DULL TOTEMS
3) NOBODY SHOULD BE FORCED TO RUN A PERK BECAUSE YOUR PERK FORCES ME TO RUN ANOTHER PERK. THAT IS TERRIBLE GAME DESIGN
4) TALK ABOUT MY PROPOSED REDESIGN OF NOED AND ATTEMPT TO EXPLAIN WHY IT IS A BAD REDESIGN
Thank god Mandy isn't in charge of perk balancing, things are already bad enough.
Dull totems are a objective. You just can't admit it which is fine. People will use any excuse to nerf a perk. Being "boring" "no skill" etc. You shouldn't be the only one doing totems. Its a TEAM survival game. Its your team letting you down. You're afraid of admitting that you don't want to do totems because you just can't be bothered with it. Just rush gens as much as possible but get mad at the killer becuase you failed to do the second objective lol come on bro. Get real.
Solo q will always be bad. Unless your team knows what you're doing. I play solo q all the time and I know I'm a decent looper. If your team is bad then thats your team. Again its a TEAM survival game. Swf imo needs a nerf. It offers too much info with 0 downsides hopefully one day. But who knows maybe or maybe not. But I'm sure you think swf is balanced.
Right now killers are being forced to run 3 slowdown perks. Thats the meta. Gens fly by so fast that its frustrating when you only have 1 gen slowdown. God forbid you have to touch a totem. Also small game is a totem counter and you can locate totems using them. But you don't want to use it right? Can't take of DH, DS, BT and IW.
You know how you could've prevented that totem from being next to the camping killer? Doing the totem early game lol.. you know noed activates when gens are all done right?
If you're really going against a good killer chances are they aren't using noed. Baby killers who just started the game have little experience use noed because it gives them a chance to compete against survivors. You're talking about not "wasting time" "I could be doing a gen" yeah evey survivor wants to gen rush and get out asap without the killer getting a chance. But yeah those evil killers using the op noed. Yeah you're right gens are a objective just like totems. But it's still a lazy excuse not tk do totems because "you waste too much time". Ok lol. Throwing a game over a totem? Maybe you just need to learn to loop the killer longer.
I dont really care about a "strawman" argument im sure you parroted that from someone. Either way I bring an argument that you don't like but I'm wrong because you don't agree with it. But noed isn't changing anytime soon so bring a perk or use a map. Also your idea of a "perk balance" is make the killer work twice as hard giving survivors too much information while survivors don't have the same treatment just press E for a free life. I'm glad you're not part of the balancing team the game would be dead in the water bro. (Also noed is used at lower ranks at high mmr noed is non existent fyi)
-
Chase drop perk? LOL what are survivor mains calling killers "chase droppers" now. Lol thats the silliest thing I've read all day. Tinkerer is fine. It only provides information if you're chasing a survivor at the end of the map. Chances are you won't make it to the gen. These balance changes people want are pretty bad. Just killing another perk for no reason.
-
Can we get Mandy as the new head of the balancing team? Thats the first time I see a real answer and speaks from both sides.

I can 100% see the issues with NOED.
1) The only "counter" is to do all 5 dull totems. Not only is this nearly impossible to do in SoloQ, it wastes a preposterous amount of time that you could have easily spent doing 2 full generators. If you are able to cleanse all 5 dull totems and still win, then it was a terrible killer who was already going to lose. How many times have you gone out of your way to cleanse 5 dull totems, only to lose the game by 1 generator, and then find out that the killer didn't even have noed? Must feel great.
2) Bad killers use it to camp + get a guaranteed kill on good survivors. Let's be honest here, the majority of killers who use noed are just absolutely terrible at the game. They constantly lose game after game, but instead of getting better, they equip a perk that will simply guarantee an extra kill. And no, you cannot just "dO bOneS". Read point #1.
3) Playing killer with 3 perks isn't that big of a deal. Most good players will use corrupt or even lethal pursuer, which then they are down to just 3 perks after the duration. And yes, they have strong effect, but they also run out very quickly. Not to mention that hex perks can be deleted after about 20 seconds if your unlucky.
4) It has no warning that its coming. How often have you been in a chase with a killer towards the end game. The chase is going pretty well, your at the killer shack with the pallet still up, and you can get 1 more vault out of the window. Then, the last generator is completed and the killer keeps chasing you. You think to yourself, "damn, how is he getting so fast? must be bloodlust". And then he barely catches up to you with a free speedboost and an instadown that he got for losing the game. You are then facecamped in the basement. No balancing issues here guys! Let's also keep in mind that old OoO was changed not because it was too strong, but because it was unfun to play against. The same logic applies to NOED.
My Proposed changes to NOED.
1) My first proposal would be to completely delete it from the game, since it is terribly designed and doesn't belong in the game.
2) But since that isn't happening, I would suggest a tweak of the perk that not only warns survivors that the killer has noed, but also makes noed not be abused by bad killers that can't get downs normally.
Hex: No One Escapes Death - Once all 5 generators are completed, all survivors that have been previously hooked in the trial now suffer from the exposed status effect.
This version of the perk will also immediately give survivors the exposed status effect when all 5 generators are completed instead of when the killer downs someone, just so the survivors know what they are up against. I also chose the remove the speed boost, as it allowed bad killers to get hits that they wouldn't normally get. This version of the perk is much more balanced and fair, and the only people who like the NOED we have now are complete ######### at the game and want to get free kills with badly designed perks.
1 The game is balanced around solo que. Thats why swf is such an unbalanced mess. I use the perk counter force which does an excellent job at doing totems. Theres alway small game, a map and detectives hunch. Before the "I shouldn't be forced to run a perk" excuse think about the other 16 perks the killer has to go against. Doing them isn't hard you can do them just walking gen to gen or early game when the killer is looking for a survivor. You shouldn't be the only one doing it your team should help.
2. If the killer is camping, you have enough time to do totems. A camping killer isn't a problem to most people if you know how to counter it. Only killer that is a guaranteed camp is bubba. Other than that do totems if the killer is camping. In a real match the killer might get 2k at most if they camp unless you give them the free down or don't look for the totem.
3. Being down 1 perk can have a huge impact on a match. Think about how many times ruin got cleanse and how fast the gens flew. Being down a perk hurts alot even if their good players they will struggle.
4. If you're ignoring the totem everytime you go do a gen who's fault is that? Yours. Don't be lazy cleanse the totem. And heres my problem with people saying noed is too strong. You had all game to do it. If they're a god nurse blight dh or ph most likely they won't have it. But if you can tell right away that the killer is inexperienced then you should now right away that this killer has noed.
But your idea of balance is i didnt do totems it shouldn't be my job to do totems im just going to rush the gens and get out asap. Oh the killer has noed? They must be bad even though i died to them. The perk is too strong let's nerf it even though the killer uses only 3 perks, can be deleted early game and late game and there's plenty of counter perks. Yup. Nice balance.
-
Yeah those people I will never understand. They want survivors to have "fun" if its not fun then the killer is op or their favorite word "boring". But killers can't have fun becuase they have to "earn" it and feel happy when they get 1k or 2ks it doesn't matter how hard you tried you should be happy. These people are usually those who "play both sides" but always want changes in favor of survivors. I blame certain streamers too for pushing really bias thinking and then those mindless people parroting what their x streamer says.
-
Undying required survivors to do a second objective that should be encouraged to do. Not just gens. You also had perks and a map item to help you find it and counter it.
MoM didn't have any counter except play killers with special attacks or insta down killers. All m1 hits counted and seeing the survivors aura didn't mattered because they could've healed to 99.
-
As a person who uses dead hard on all my builds its a strong perk with almost no downsides besides dead hard not activating and the killer downs you. If you get mindgamed at a loop it doesn't matter cuz you'll just dead hard. It extends loops by getting to windows and pallets safely and can dodge abilities like huntress hatchets it does need a rework.
-
"I just like the way it looks bro" come on behaviour do something about it already.
-
I've quit the game for about 2 months and played apex. Honestly I prefer apex but once in a while ill get on and play killer and survivor. Killer once in a while since I want to have some fun games not sweaty games.
-
I hope so but most of the time the devs go through with the changes without hearing feed back. They will then say something like "console players need a chance to test the changes and maybe we will make changes". We will see they have gotten alot better but I still see most changes going live and changing it next chapter or next year.
-
Once the blood webs get reworked to cost less BP im hoping that they'll add new prestige levels maybe 4 5 and 6. And those can be legacy skins for newer non licensed survivors and killers. But thats only a dream.
-
I highly doubt spirit will be able to compete with high mmr players tbh. She will probably end up in A or B tier imo. The dust kicking might bury her but gladly it won't come out as soon. Most of her add ons got gutted and I don't expect any buffs soon. We will see. No one takes the ptb seriously. But I see her being played as much as Billy now.
-
Imo a killer perk should never work against the killer. Not being able to kick gens? When corrupt is a single use perk will just kill the perk. Everyone knows that gens are already in a bad spot but I don't think nerfing gen regression will make it any better its just gonna confirm what we all know.
-
Imo just make it so a 3 or 4 man can't take more than 1 of the same perk. 2 man should stay the same. Thats a good way to start. Swf offers no risk high reward.
-
Unless you're running stbfl on 8 stacks, doesn't get cleansed before you get 8 stacks, the survivor doesn't run to a window then yeah it could be used more.
-
@cburton311 said:
No thank you. If it is true that killer is too weak, than there must be a better way to target games at the higher end where killers run into this problem. Longer gens will hit all survivors regardless of skill and slowdown / increase boring elements of the game.
And thats when survivor mains will complain that the killers are too "op" just look at spirit and gunslinger.

Idk I played Spirit on the PTB and I’m doing fine 🤷♂️
Those are Trapper and plague buffs? Come on bro those are minimal nothing that will make those killers stronger. Just ok changes. And of course you'll do fine on the ptb LOL its the ptb no one takes it seriously. Who sweats on the ptb? No one.
-
So survivors can destroy the totems but the killer can't do anything about the boon totems? Because the survivor can just light it up again? Make sense behaviour.
-
The Buffs are minimal. Killers need something else because with the boon totems they are just gonna waste more time.
-
I still think Trapper should have a cool down ability to throw traps down like junkrat from OW. the buffs are okay nothing major. Just makes you have space for 1 more add on. But most add ons are pretty bad.
-
Plague. Shes the most uninteresting out of all the killers. Playing as and against.
-
Killers find those games extremely boring. They can either farm or end the game quickly and move on. And you can use fun builds and win. Most people don't at high mmr because only meta builds are played.

That's fine. She moves at incredible speeds just right off the bat with the ability to end a chase quickly and cleanly.
Seriously. She's a rush down now, a proper rush down. Equip brutal strength break the pallet and rush them down. Like I said in the other comment, my ears aren't as good as they used to be.
So now you'd be doing what I've done all this time. Only difference is a survivor is more aware of you
Still shouldn't have gone this far imo. Directional is ok but knowing her location is bad. Too much counterplay is always bad for a killer.
-
Imo this nerf doesn't really make sense. She has both a directional que and you can see the dust kick up. They could've just not bother with that and add a 24m audio que. But yeah killers usually move on to the next strongest killer. Blight and nurse or maybe slinger might be next for the nerf. If they rework or nerf dead hard then it'll make things more balanced imo.
-
@thefallenloser said:
This 100% has to be a post from a Spirit main posing as a survivor. You literally don't even know what you said.
How exactly does simply having some idea of where she is now mean you can't confuse her? Oh wait, it doesn't.
Are we still counting the amount of times people say Spirit has reliable counterplay and then just don't list it?
Watch a truetalent video.
-
All the devs needed to do is just add a 24m sound que when she phases thats all. But they went over board again.
-
Trapper got a small buff wont have to look for alot of traps but still not enough to make him stronger imo. Spirit got nerfed. The audio que would have been enough but of course they went overboard with the foot step dust nerf. Now its gonna be the survivors who will take less skill to play against spirit becuase they will know her location at all times. Which is always a bad idea having too much counters imo. I'm sure they're not only doing add ons passes but nerfing most of the killers powers to an extent. We will see.
-
Yeah most killers are not the best.... it has to do with 2 big things. Killers ability to move gen to gen quickly and possibly passive gen pressure (pin heads hooks and nemesis zombies). Most killers struggle because of this. But most survivor mains will just say "you're not playing the killer correctly" I guess they know more about the killer than some who main them.
-
I still don't think boon totems are gonna be good for the game but we will see.
-
If they're gonna add boon totems then yes the gens should take longer. But gen times in general should be taking longer and maybe even reworking prove thy self.
-
2 years ago there was a rumor that people were expecting a pig rework but nothing ever came out of it. Who knows. But yes she is outdated most of the older killers are.
-
Spirit has to be one of the killers i enjoy going against. Shes no push over and the better player always wins. Saying she has "too much information and the survivors have little to none" is a false statement. She stands still when she phases, can't see blood, with the IW buff she got nerfed a bit, she's 110%, and she can't see the survivor. In a chase the survivor has the advantage if you try and loop spirit like a average M1 killer then its your fault for messing up. Do things to mind game dont just expect to run in a straight line and get away lol.
-
Yeah I've seen more camping at high level but its more of proxy camping. Meaning the killer leaves but doesn't go away too far. Now this strat can be good when survivors go for the immediate save or if the hooked survivor is close to the second stage. I don't blame the killers. Its tough when the survivors are all strong loopers and getting pressure this way can be beneficial imo. Camping can never be re designed it can be punished but not enough to force the killer not to camp. That would be a bad game design.
-
Pin head is definitely weak. His power is high skill little reward. "Oh but you're not playing him right" yeah ok. His chains break to easily, has 4v1 doesn't really work if survivors are solving the cube, and has to rely on Franklin's and hoarder to actually use his lament. Overall the power comes from the survivors mistakes which means they have control over his power.
-
Most survivor mains don't want killers knowing they're in a swf becuase the killer would dodge. If swf isn't strong why do killers leave the lobby? "Oh just pressure gens" "imagine not wanting people to play with friends" no thats not the point.
-
Started an account from console to pc and I'm amazed how much gen perks matter. Matches can be extremely fast or at least 1-2k without any regression perks. Thats why ruin and undying are so strong because it relives the frustration of having to either decide kicking the gen or chasing the survivor.
-
Blast mine the killer so they get gen ptsd when kicking a gen

So true, and sad. But the reality is what I mentioned. He's still strong as hell and overheat almost never comes in to play.
People just like what's easiest. They don't want to learn to curve with billy. Which btw I don't pretend to be the #1 billy player. I can hit curves SOMETIMES, but not nearly consistent enough yet. People don't want to learn to backrev or feather (which I'm VERY good at) They'd rather something easier like uncloak wraith. Which is understandable
He's still weak to some including me. Overheat just made his ability weaker. Can't fake pallet drops or make better curves. Sure he could be more oppressive but if I wanted to play a stronger killer and does the job alot better id play spirit. Thats just my opinion.
-
Oof.
-
If you're the only cleansing totems then its your teams fault for not helping. I usually find myself cleasing totems along the way and usually bring counter force. Theres always time to do the totems and gens. Its more about the ranks you're team up with not the perk itself. Noed is in a fine spot imo. The killer plays with 3 perks, it can get cleansed before or after gates activate. Your team mates leaving was smart on their part instead of giving the killer more kills.

Your sentence was: since dead hard is so common it needs a nerf. Well Those killer perks are way more common than dead hard so following your flawed idea those perks shall be nerfed aswell
They're used becuase of gen times. There is no need for second chance perks for survivors. Dead hard is way too common compared to those perks. Everytime I face a team at high level its always dead hard. And what else are killers supposed to use? Please tell me what perks are effective at high level I would love your opinion.

So they need to also nerf corrupt ruin undying tinkerer and pop?
Corrupt is a 1 time use perk. Ruin and undying are hexes which can be easily destroyed. Tinkerer is an okay perk which works better on fast killers. And pop? Really? A perk that rewards you for hooking a survivor and only does 25% of a gen? You think that needs a nerf?
