I get it too. Happened two games in a row and I still get penalized. I'm playing on PS5 and ethernet cable

From the gameplay standpoint, turrets will be too strong and annoying for the killer. From a funny standpoint, the survivor will also get burned and suffer the permanent hindered effect for the rest of the match.
-
The last 4 or 5 Onryos I have faced have all ran the Iridecent add-on. It does make the games against her much more annoying. Teleport every 10 seconds, hit and run strategy, nobody wants to run across big maps to put the tape in a "specific" TV. It is true that she can interrupt you and place more condemned stacks on you while you're en-route to turn the tape in. Happens to me almost every time.
I think the add-on needs to also increase the cooldown time it takes for her to teleport to TVs or increase the time it takes for TVs she teleports to, to turn on.

I already haven't been playing lately but I may not play for a good while after the update, unless I play killer, which seems to be the role to play. Once again, Solo Q is put on the back burner. So, either I don't play at all, or I will play the killer.
-
Yes. I would avoid Nurse, Nemesis, and Blight players.
-
It's OK. I haven't been burning offerings because I've been noticing a trend (a bad trend) when the Killer sees a bunch of BP offerings. Still confused how a survivor gets the masks. You have to escape with the invitation or you can die and still get the masks? On top of that, the game doesn't tell me I've received the awards anyway.

How is what any of you said a power trip.....?
Throwing their mouse in circles after they got the 4K in less than a few minutes with 5 gens up. I've seen it happen today and many times before. Just don't like a Killer that ignores everything.
-
^yes
-
I haven't burned any puddings, so what's the point if I'm going against try hards?
-
I've played three matches so far today. I have to agree that there hasn't been much "gen rushing", but a lot of the killer tunneling or camping the basement stairs. That happened in two of those matches. The other match went by normally; The killer got a well deserved 4K w/o tunneling or camping.

Ah yes my fellow comrade that saw me get absolutely tortured in 8/10 matches
whats up bro happy to see you here lmao
It was just a bad session for you but an OK one for me. Reading your post just brought back some bad experiences whenever I play solo Q 😅. It doesn't matter which perks you bring, if you have an unskilled set of teammates, your chances of escaping through the exit gates greatly decreases. The killer, however, always seems to be great which doesn't help the team you matcheed up with.
-
I did want to play, but now I've changed my mind, lol. Like the guy above me said, bring Kindred, DS, and Deliverance when you get bad teammates.
Hi, buddy!
-
With new content always comes new bugs. I will remain optimistic, though. I'm interested in seeing all the PTB footage since I don't play on PC.

I just think they should rework Hexes. Make it that you don't start with random totems lit the Killer has to go to a totem and hex it. Gives them more control over their totem placement. Then when a survivor cleanses/boons the totem you lose the power, and stacks (if any) of that perk till you hex another totem (but don't regain the stacks, have to start stacks from the beginning).
This way the only way to stop strong Hex Perks like Ruin you have to cleanse the totems, which means less boons, and makes Hexes more worthwhile to play with against competitive teams.
How would the killer be able to choose which perk they want to put on a totem if they bring multiple hex perks? Depending on the RNG totem spawn at the beginning of the match, the killer player may want to put their strongest hex on the hardest totem to find.

That's like demanding to ride a Rollercoaster(The Nurse) even though it's broken and needs maintenance.

Wait, that isnt happening in the mid chapter? It got buffed already and I missed it?
I guess the mid-chapter patch went live this week? I have no idea! But the video they posted didn't have PTB in it, so maybe? Lol.
-
Power Struggle was buffed so the time it takes to drop a pallet was sped up.
-
Looks like Power Struggle. Did you check his perks after the match or you just hurried to save the clip and make this post?

ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ bless you.

None. No killers I've faced will let me have fun with the Snowman, let alone hit me with their weapon. :(
The other Snowman moments are fine, I guess >___>.

From a console player, she definitely has counter-play, without perks even. She gives audible cues when she uses her power. If you're on a gen when she uses her power, just let go and move out of the way if she's using her power while not chasing anyone. Most likely, she'll aim her crows at gens to see of it catches anyone. You can run into idle crows to nullify her power a bit. Looping around pallets can be risky, so you have to break LoS and make distance from her.

I was using a few of the anniversary cakes and BPS during the Bloodhunt this past weekend. Then I stopped and only used BP offerings that benefitted only myself. I swear, the way killers play when there are many BP offerings that benefit everyone is so annoying.
Each time I used an anniversary cake or BP, I or someone else was tunneled out of the game or people were DCing once they were being tunneled or going against a killer they didn't like. It was dreadful. Luckily, I had plenty of Escape Cakes to use on myself and it typically yielded a better turn out.

It still does the little jumpscare and initiating the chain hunt as usual.
HOWEVER - a random bit of trivia for you, if they are in a locker when you pick up the box, you do not scream or get instantly chained.
Thanks, good to know. I kind of thought it would be like using a locker to avoid tombstone Myers.

Wait which killer can get some use of stridor because the only reason people were using stridor was to counter iron will and before i tank my mmr i had at least 2 iron will per trial
It's random but I was recently in a match against a Wraith and a Pig that were both running it.
-
People still use Stridor and not everyone uses Iron Will.

it's fun. I like it, at least.
it's probably changed a long time since the last time you've played, though.
I've been monitoring people's experiences with killer for a good while now, so I'm a bit hip to all of their experiences too, although I haven't played in a long time. Solo survivor is just so stressful but you'll never see me do this; "Oh, there's only two of us left, let me run to the killer and get him to make a truce with me so I can rat out the other survivor so the killer will let me get hatch or escape through the gates." That is so ratty and unsportsmanlike.

I mained killer for a long time and now only play it to do incredibly dumb stuff like camp a jigsaw box with Pig while using vhs tape. There's no fun to be had playing killer in a normal capacity anymore and I legit find it far more fun to play solo queue because losing due to dumb teammates is less frustrating and upsetting than losing to glaring unfairness and balance issues. Also killers don't BM nearly as much as survivors, so that's another plus to playing survivor.
If people are actively working with the killer to get you killed, I am fairly sure that is reportable. I have personally only ever experienced this once, during the previous blood hunt.
I'd call it passively working with the killer. Sometimes that happens to me. I do want to muster up the will to play killer though, I just enjoy survivor more.

Sucks that I play on Console, doesn't it.
I've been given the short end of the stick for years, I'm used to it by now.
In all honestly, my cynicism from my own illness is probably leaking into my thoughts on DBD, I really can't tell anymore.
Oh, sorry. Thought you were a PC player. I'm on console too, so I have the short end as well.
-
Getting a pip is considered a win for me. Just depends on how well or fun the match was. I could die, but if I contributed enough with gens or helping to keep teammates alive, that is also a win.

I'm just old and tired of this game.
If there was an alternative game, I'd play it, but there's not.
But there are, right? Should be some alternatives on PC but none quite hit the mark like DbD.

Don't worry, no one cares about changing your mind. Nemesis is objectively nowhere near op or too easy to play for his strength.
He gives survivors a 3rd health state inexchange for his ranged attack that has a whooping range of 5 meters. If that's cheap to you then any other killer is cheap as well.
Meanwhile survivors have to hold a button to win.
Isn't it 6 meters or so in length? He and his Zombies are still cheap.
-
Everyday I just get people that DC. Makes playing the game so much fun, said no one.
-
This Killer is still cheap and no one can change my mind on that. Everytime I face him, he gets at least 3-4k. That, or at least 1 person disconnects against him.
-
Might I just say that I've been using the perk, solo, and still, my teammates don't use it's effects when ideal? Why do you want me to heal you at hook when you can run to the boon area and heal yourself? Ridiculous.

My teammates all die 5 minutes into the game and it leaves me against the killer at 3 gens. Believe it or not 3 gens is an amazing feat with some of these teams.
I've learned to not play to win anymore but instead use each game to teach myself new things about the game.
Agreed. If I play to win each time, as survivor, I would have quit very long ago entirely. I try my hardest just to have fun.

It needs to go back to 2016 where survivors have a chance of winning and killers won without slowdown perks. I don't know why survivors re-queue to lose like that.
Agreed.

I want to play with crossplay off but I don't want to wait forever. I was successful on the PS4 but not on PS5.

Some fun Nurse gameplay.

Its funny with the buff to iron will i see less spirit its true that the majority of my lobby i see 2 or 3 survivor with iron will so spirit cant do much against that but still she should be higher in the killer i face the most
It's strange but I really don't see Spirit very much since the buff to Iron Will. I don't even use Iron Will that much anymore either. Were they really crutching off of Stridor?

Well I admit, I use BBQ on Ghostface. It is a good perk after all and Ghosty needs his recovery add-ons to get some stuff done. As such BBQ combinds information about my next stalking victim with BP that are required for my next match. I think most Killers who level or want to prestige use BBQ for those reasons.
Just like survivors use "We're gonna live forever!" for that reason (even thou that perk could get a better side effect).
I took it that you just saw a lot of BBQ and wanted to see some different perks on your opponents. Varity is fun after all and a Killer using some unique perks is always more fun than a Killer using the generic perks (Ruin/Pop/Undying with NoeD, Leathal or Tinkerer that would be the sweat-build).
This is why I like facing certain Killers more because they usualy bring a different build from the Meta. (Please not that I do not blame Player for use a meta build. I just like off meta builds more.) Most Pigs I face use some weird combos as an example and same goes for Nemesis and Plague. Which is why I like facing them.
I think it would be a good way if there would be a reward for using more creative perks on a Killer. However I noted that the best Killer players often use some non meta builds for their games. Maybe we casual noobs should try this too to get a bit closer to their level. XP
I do want more variety but I understand why I always face BBQ, Undying, Ruin, Pop, Infectious, Tinkerer, and Corrupt, as they are the top 7 perks I see on killers. Often, it's the BBQ and Pop combo I see the most. But I do get it. Without them, games will go by too fast. I don't even think the build I mentioned I used a few posts ago is even a good one, but it does help.
