  • Nerf her to the ground! Or at least make her shimmer more prominent when phasing.

  • Sometimes I heal against the Legion. Honestly, most of them bring Thanatophobia or other add-ons that make doing generators take longer. Not to mention Discordance. If no gen slowing down perks were present, maybe me and others that think like me wouldn't try to heal.

Sorry that not everyone can avoid taking another hit in an already damaged state.

    OP please calm down.

  • Tbh, I'm not home now to check, but I think it was Claudette. I have Adam p3'd too. A couple of my killers are p3 as well.

These characters are p3 due to the prestige glitch that was in the game some time ago.....🤫

It might be different on console because I never thought to rebind my buttons on my PS4. However, as I stated previously, interactions (Healing, doing gens, etc) are separate to actions (Dropping pallets, vaulting, etc). At least, they're separate options on PC.

I tried it on PS4 and surprisingly, I can bind Actions to another button separately. I feel like I've never noticed that layout on the options before. I guess this will take some time to get used to, lol.

By default, yes. Controller only has 1 interaction button. However, you can actually rebind the buttons. I've done so myself (I usually use Mouse and keyboard for Killer but I use controller for Survivor). I use an X-box controller and I rebound actions (Dropping pallets, vaulting, etc) to Y. That way, it wouldn't overlap with interactions (Healing, doing gens, etc). I used to play on PS4 myself. Perhaps you could rebind either actions or interactions to triangle? If I remember correctly, triangle isn't used for anything in DBD by default.

Remind to triangle? I never tried that. Wouldn't that just replace R1 and I'll have the same problem?

  • @WheresTheGate said:

Standing next to a window. The indicator on screen clearly says pressing r1 will make me climb through the window. I'm not moving. Not even touching the sticks on my controller. Press r1 and throw down the pallet nearby despite the indicator on screen clearly telling me another action will take place.

This type of thing happens frequently where the message on screen says pressing a button will do one thing yet does another. I don't code so I'll ask if someone that understands coding can tell me if this is a problem that's all that difficult to rectify. It just seems to me if the display on the screen says pressing a button well result in a specific action that should be what happens, but maybe I just don't realize how difficult it would be to rectify this issue.

Yeah. PC players have two interaction buttons while controller players have 1. It's why you see so many PC players instantly heal survivors at the pallet while when I play on PS4, I have to hover over them for a few seconds until I see the prompt to heal or else I end up dropping the pallet by mistake. Yes, it does suck and I know how you feel.

A lot of hag mains simply just change their teleport keybind to their scroll wheel so they can instantly react. Has nothing to do with a macro.

Yeah, I don't play on PC so I'm not savy to their methods.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/251719/hag-players-and-macros

What you're talking about is binding keys to wherever you want them. Which no. It's not cheating. DBD and every PC game as far as I know let's you bond your keys for accessibility.

A macro is different. A macro is basically setting a single key to do something you want...Hit the struggle button(old struggle) with you being able to just hold the button in. And not have to mash it....Making a certain key (let's say space bar) do a 360 for you as a survivor.

What you experienced is a scroll wheel hag. Which is just them binding their teleport and constantly scrolling when they're not doing an action. And you can teleport instantly before the survivor can move. And no it's not illegal. Just a smart way to play hag

    Seems unfair imo.

  • @Momentosis said:

Are they using macros? Or are they just teleporting as soon as a trap is triggered?

I'm not sure. I'm speculating. Why would the Hag chase an injured survivor and when her trap is activated, she instantly teleports across the map to chase whomever activated it?

  • I don't like her either. Too many people run Stridor, or come running back to the hook after someone is being unhooked. In regards to Stridor, if you don't run Iron Will, the moaning and groaning is so loud in my ears but I can't turn the volume down or else I may not hear her footsteps.

It's usually just a bother to play against her and try to predict her mind games.

  • Guys, I will say this, going against a Nurse with BBQ, Starstruck, Infectious Fright, and Pop, can be one of the most BORING matches you will ever play 🙄. Happened recently, so much fun! Lol

  • I hate every killer besides Demogorgon, Trickster, Nurse and sometimes the Legion.

  • I mean, it's the same for killers that bring indoor map offerings. They are definitely up to no good with those.

  • Meh, killer sided. But that's just my opinion.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Not all swf sweaty tryhards, some play with their friends to have fun,but I agree, its not fun as killer playing againts swf most of the times.

It's not fun for solo survivors to play with low skilled, terrible, cowardly, scary, punk $@!&$ SWFs either. Ugh, the ones that do nothing or are afraid to die or be chased by the killer absolutely sicken me.

  • Put on Spine Chill to counter Tinkerer. Ruin and Undying can sometimes be found fast and taken out.

  • OP please. The amount of times the killer messages me just for escaping or for doing something displeasing to them gets out of hand sometimes.

  • I've never had a Killer dc because of that. It did take me a few tries to actually find one.

No it wasn't. OP was just sick of how the game has fundamentally changed over time and doesn't like the new direction it's going.

Maybe you should try reading some more if this post was too incomprehensible for you.

Wth happened to my original comment?

Anyway, I know what OP said. It's still mental diarrhea made into a post. They're complaining about how survivors use to be in the past, but they have more options to defend themselves and to shake up the gameplay a bit. Killer's side has also changed over the years.

It's all perspective. If a game stayed the same and nothing changed, you'd lose interest and wouldn't play.

  • I'm not too savy on Microsoft but can't you just block them and be over with it?

  • @Kirkylad said:

When you get past 100 hours you realise this isn't a horror game. Survivors are going to do things like bodyblock because it helps the team and it's a smart way to play, we can't expect them to play like rank 20 bots forever.

You are right on this one, my friend, but the creepy ambience we used to have certainly helped, even for those way past 100 hours.

I do actually miss 2016/2017 DBD maps. Back when they used to be darker in tone and the mist was more prevalent. The mist regents hardly ever show up in my matches and for the maps that are dark like McMillan and Autohaven, it's not the same kind of darkness from a few years ago. It's kind of hard to explain lol.

  • @MrPsych said:

The gnome spawns when the EGC starts. Every 90-120 seconds he can switch locations if not found. This is marked by the giggling sound heard everywhere through the map.

The giggling is not an indication of where he is, you'll always hear the giggling the same no matter where you are on the map.

I found mine on a jungle gym structure against one of the walls, those would be a good place to start looking.

I found one but this advice can definitely help others.

  • I mean, I get it. If it's endgame, then you have no choice but to swing your weapon and get points.

  • How about just don't attack the unhooked?

  • @VexTheHex said:

Tiny effort and large reward. He's possibly the straight up easiest Killer to play in the game. I like playing him, but by no margin do I ever think I did anything remarkable to deserve my 4K unlike Trickster, Twins, or Huntress where I feel like I worked for it.

I'd start off by removing his Pink Clapper add on and making the Yellow one Pink. I know that's not the biggest concern on him, but removing the bing bong from him is a crime against Wraith kind even when he was weak. Let him ring his bell!

That's how I feel. He's "The" M1 killer. Very little effort needed to get a 4k. He needs another look at.

  • Tbh, Wraith has been giving me trouble each time I'm up against him. That and it depends how the team is doing against him.

  • @GannTM said:

What if it's The Game? No killer except for Nurse wants to go there.

A fair number of green and purple players are carried by their friends to high ranks. When they go solo, it really shows. They don't know what to do so they crouch in corners. It happens to me all the time.

As someone who plays solo, I hate being paired with lower ranks. I especially hate being paired with lower ranked SWF groups.

I was going for a solo game, a random dude gave me a random toolboxe, that was green.

I had a quest of using toolboxes for the rift. Mine was yellow, I used all of it so I took the green one, to continue the quest.

But he was a hacker and his toolboxe was overpowered speed, it was obviously hacking.

I didnt knew and I used it a bit.... when I understood there was a problem I just let it on the ground.

But then he accused me of hacking because I used it in endgame chat.

What should I do, I reported him, and took a screenshot.

I dont want to get ban, I didnt knew what was happening and I used by mistake this cheating toolboxe.

How can I contact Behaviour about it ? Just help me pls

I dont know what to do.....

Call their support hotline to talk to one of the mods, developers, or customer service. I'm sure they'd be glad to help you.

I love Midwich, The Game, and Hawkins. They're something different. Not every map should be a giant, wide-open field.

My least favorite map, by far, is the saloon. I hate the colors, I hate the layout, I hate how exposed everyone is. But hey, the more maps the better. Again, variety.

On the contrary, I LOVE the Saloon. I find myself escaping more on that map. I actually like the coloring hues of the map because they remind me of the Coldwin Farm maps.

    The Game is awful.

Midwich & Hawkins are excellent maps. Some survivors just can't deal with the lack of loops in Midwich and need to understand stealth & awareness should be your priority so pallets aren't all gone early game

The Game got a little bit more balanced. Midwich, however, is still crap.

  • Yes, the same thing happened to me. I think it's a bug.

What else are you supposed to do? When you have players that are completely outplaying you due to some combination of superior coordination, skill, and things they brought to tilt the game in their favor, and are taking every opportunity to rub that in your face, the only not engaging you have the choice to do is walk into a corner and afk until they finally deign to leave through the exit gates. And even that, they are going to gloat incessantly about, because it's giving them exactly what they want.

When players are out to make your game miserable, and you're not skilled enough to pull the rug out from under them - which can be a very high floor, with the kinds of people that play DBD so much that their only entertainment left is in getting others to ragequit - it's pretty hard to stop them.

Today in DBD I've been told I suck at the game by one person and reported for 'hacking' by another, and all things considered, that's a good day. Love the game, hate the community.

You're still taking the bait and making excuses. You're the killer, right? Survivors can't back you into a wall in-game and keep you from playing. You do your best to kill them and when the match is over, leave. If they try to harrass your gaming profile, then that's a different story as they can be reported.

Are the flashlights bothering you or the t-bagging? Any other miniscule, annoying survivor tactics getting to you? As I said, just do the best you can and once the match is over, close the chat box, and leave onto the next match.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I agree to @Kebek , DS should focus more on its Anti-Tunneling-Aspect.

I still use DS and I get it to use, because Killers dont respect it anymore. Like, yesterday I had a Huntress, she was hit by 3 DS (myself, my SWF-Mate and a random Survivor), because she tried to tunnel each of us. I only got hit by it once since the Rework, must be something like 55 seconds after the Unhook, but this also meant that this Survivor did nothing to keep their DS.

But, as said, a strong Killer like Spirit or Nurse will not care about DS at all, they are at the Survivor right away. And in general, if a Killer wants to tunnel, they will do it and DS will not prevent it. So removing all tracking tools for 10 seconds should allow hte Survivor to actually gain distance, so even a Spirit or Nurse would need to locate the Survivor.

I also think we are currently at the point were more people are starting to use DS again, at least I see an Obsession in around 30% of my games as Killer, right after the Nerf, it was like 1 out of 10 games with an Obsession.

Maybe the survivor should have at least 2 chances to use DS? What I mean is that if they successfully use it after the first hook, they still have another chance to use it after they get hooked a second time. That helps with the anti-tunnel effect.

Yeah, i agree with the SWF statement. And also, when i play with friends, it's not like we're 4 pro players who are toxic and mock the killers, we just casually play with no intentions of humiliate the killer or anything like this

Back when I used to play with people, none of us were "pro" players. We just wanted to have fun and get as many escapes as we could. I hate this mentality people have here that just because people play SWF, it means that they are gods or masters at the game with zero percent chance the killer can go against them.

Point is, if you're killer going against skilled survivors, SWF or not, you may have a tough time getting kills.

False. A rank 1 Freddy proxy camped me very recently. So yes, still very much existent. Granted, none of my teammates wanted to swap hooks with me 😅.

  • Most games average 10 minutes, so that sounds about right. As for the bullying, if you take the bait, then it's your fault for staying and engaging with said bullies.

  • Probably for the cosmetics. Plus, female survivors are able to hide better within the environment than their male counterparts. And as someone else said, they are free to play as.

It's not fair for the old RE fans to add a brand new character.

Also as a romanian myself I get headaches every time Capcom pronounces her name so I'd like to hear it as less as possible.

Why do they pronounce her name wrong? Weren't they the ones that decided on the name? Surely they would educate themselves on pronunciation, lol.

Solo queue is essentially 1v1v1v1v1 99% of the time and on the very rare occasion do you coincidentally get all four survivors who at least are coordinated and do teamwork.

SWF is when it's truly 1v4 as they work as a team.

I also am frustrated with solo survivor. I like playing survivor but solo queue is really unbearable and unfun. I like playing with friends as I like the coordination; it is a team role after all. I don't enjoy survivor since I don't play with the friends who introduced me to this game anymore, or anyone in general.

Also there is no objectivity in saying SWF is unbalanced. Some people say that, some people don't. In reality when you have four good survivors in solo queue, it's not going to make much of any difference in comparison to if they were on comms with each other.

SWF is NOT always 4 against 1. Up to 4 people can play together but sometimes there might be 2 friends and 2 randoms, etc.

@Skatla For me, playing solo can be either fun or absolutely unenjoyable. I wish it were consistently more fun but sometimes you really have to look out for yourself. That being said, playing solo is not impossible and you can make the best with the odds stacked against you. My only advice is to play the best you can and try to watch something that puts you in a good mood between matches to help keep your spirits up.

  • I don't want the killer to be Lady Dimitrescu. It should be an iconic killer and survivor. Let's keep your junk in your pants and think about the bigger possibilities.

The part where I said that the game needs Jeffrey Dahmer? No you didn't.

In all seriousness I am guilty. I read the title but responded without reading the OP. Can't be doing that.

No, not about him. I read what you wrote about literally taking the topic seriously. Something about Hag and Wraith.

  • @miketheratguy said:

    This game needs Ted Bundy.

You aren't slick!! I know what you wrote before lol.

  • Most times, it's either be saved in the TR or die on hook because the killer won't leave the area.

    Make Your Choice.

  • This is salty me speaking. Everyone has their reasons or triggers for wanting to leave the match. I just couldn't care less at this point. I very rarely DC, but if the match is not going in my favor, I.E. I'm getting very pissed off, I may or may not die on first hook intentionally. After the new struggling feature is implemented, then I'll just fail the 2 skill checks and die.

Nobody is forcing you or anyone to stay in a match you no longer want to participate in. If you get reported for AFK'ing or hook suiciding, then so be it. Again, I just couldn't care less at this point. I just really learned not to judge anyone and what they're going through in this game anymore.

  • Pray for me and others that go through solo queue. Good grief.
