i really dont like when Survivors or Killers DC just for non reason. But whats is the most annoying is the rule of some survivors - first knocked down = Dc before being on hook.
It just doesnt matter if the killer is Wraith or Spirit or Nurse. Some survivors just do this.
I completed the "escape 4 trials" Tome challenge last night. In one of my matches, had a survivor DC very early into the match for whatever reason. Thought to myself, "I guess I'm not escaping this match." I didn't escape that match, haha.

i see you are experiencing the survivors taking the cube hostage.
fun right? having your power completely removed from the game because they can WILLINGLY choose to solve the box or not
Wait, hold on, people take the box hostage? Doesn't Pinhead get a notification when someone is carrying the box? Some type of loud noise indicator or killer instinct?
Anyway, funny thing happened recently. I guess I took the box hostage, unwilling I might add. It was kind of funny, I'm Oblivious but I had Spine Chill active, so I tried to solve the box but I couldn't because the killer kept chasing. I went on a 3-gen chase while holding the box, not because I wanted to, but because the killer KEPT CHASING ME. You can't even drop the box willingly so I had no choice but to keep running with the box until he caught me. It was actually a very funny run.

That was an awesome story.

Silent Bell is fine. All Seeing Blood is what needs to be toned down.
I would have to agree.
@milwaukee354 If it makes you feel better, I went against a Wraith last night with these two add-ons and he DC'd. We only got one gen done but I did hear two Hex totems explode. I didn't check to see his perks before I left but maybe that's why he DC'd. Oh, and he brought the 5th year cake too so I don't know why he raged.

I'm pretty sure almost all killers use BBQ because it's a BP bonus perk. It makes the grind easier because getting everyone to p3 isn't easy, if you think that's sweaty then I don't know what to tell you.
Why does everyone keep implying I think BBQ is "sweaty"? I never said that nor Infectious was, I just said they were used a lot in my matches from what I have observed.
"Sweaty" isn't even in my initial post, that was the guy under me that said.

Chill yourself.
You have 0 influence what kind of Killer you are getting but you can influence your own mindset. Try a new build with some new perks and set different goal for yourself. I run a chest focus build right now with Plunderer Instinct and Rummage. Is it any good: Probably not. But it feels very rewarding to find the needed toolbox to push through that Pop goes the Weasle 3 Gen Killer or the Map to find Ruin. I go in without any items and farm a little collection...
Maybe you can find such a goal for yourself too, to make it more chill.
I've been using Balanced, Open Handed, Bond, and Spine Chill a lot lately as a solo queue build. Is it the best build, probably not but it has helped me to know where my teammates were so I can focus on other objectives. Maybe I'll try that build like yours and see how that goes or any other kind of specific build.

Try to stay out of the killers terror radius when they are chasing and down someone. By doing so you will avoid Infectious Fright. Alternatively you can use Calm Spirit..
BBQ is run by many killers for the BP but if you want to hide from the aura reveal effect you have two options: 1. get in a locker quietly before the person is hooked and wait a few seconds before getting out or 2. Stay hidden behind the gen you're working on as best you can/align yourself so that you are straight with the person hooked that way if the killer looks your way your aura will be hidden behind the gens aura.
These are just some tips for dealing with those two things but otherwise if you want "chill" matches just play as casually as possible and MMR should supposedly put you up against people of your same skill level. I don't recommend griefing your teammates by AFKing or trying to die as quickly as possible to depip as it ruins things for them.
I'm not a new player, lol. I know a bunch of those tips you've mentioned in the first two paragraphs but thanks for your advice. As for your last paragraph, I'm not sure how to play anymore casual than I already am.

Well if your getting sweaty matches then I don't expect to be high either way. The higher you go the more likely tunneling and slugging is gonna become common
They do that at a higher rating? By higher, do you mean like the old red ranks?
-
@Sweet_Tour said:
You have to suffer alot before your MMR (May) go down. Like 40 straight losses and your killers might actually have 1 green perk.
That's a good idea but I don't think I'll commit to it, lol. Bloodpoints, I have to get them somehow :).

odd perks to complain about, but there seems to be no solution tbh. i was never a sweaty player but now i have to sweat my ass off to get a single kill. even still i usually lose
Those were examples of what I've seen today. Just noticed everyone is bringing the big guns and I just want to have more fun. I'm sure the opposing side is having a lot more fun than I am it feels like.
-
Sweaty as [BAD WORD].
-
It only looks like that from the Killer's perspective.
I had a match recently against a steamer and I wanted to see how I did as survivor against them playing as Killer. I compared my video to theirs, and at one point, I rightfully won a pallet stun and I made no sound, nor did I get hit, but from their perspective, it looked and sounded like they hit me from the pallet. It's weird and it should be fixed from the Killer's perspective.

Its not gonna happen you might need to bring perks to help mitigate it
I do, lol. I usually just deal with it since it can't be stopped, the blocking that is.

Why is everyone so mean to Sluzzy? Evertime I come across one of their posts, they just get taunted.

To prevent players from showing up in matches simply because you blocked them, that just sounds highly abusable
(this is slightly ironic because im pretty sure that system used to exist and was abused to extensive levels so people could just block good players for easy matches)
I just want to block killers that deliberately tunnel (me) to death.

Blocking only blocks communications, it doesn't prevent them from being in your matches.
Well, how do I prevent them from being in my matches then?
-
@DuneT said:
Stuff like this is exactly why I'm a staunch advocate of the introduction of a blacklist for matchmaking purposes. There is simply some XXXXXXXX XXXX out there, I don't feel inclined to play with.
And an in-game blacklist would be a real QoL improvement over having to note these player names down the old-fashioned way on paper.
You and I speak the same language. Apparently even blocking them doesn't work 🙄.

People suicide because they want to leave a hopeless game and find a new one sooner. You should not save them, because they will find a way to die again just after that and will probably also try to retaliate for the save they didn't want. If the game turned so bad and hopeless people start leaving - there is nothing you can do.
I agree. I get that mentality sometimes when things get hopeless(for me). It really just depends on how the match is going. At the end of the day, you can't force anyone to be in a match if they want to cut out early.

Some of those hackers will let you know they are hacking. They will play random animations, insta heal themselves and teammates, fly around the map, stun the killer for a minute, etc. I think OP is talking about these kind of cheaters.
Oh these kinds? Never seen it in a match but I have seen videos.
-
What kind of cheating, even if it's very miniscule? I want to know what to look out for.

This is purely due to how many people play the game. I rarely if ever play the same person again and I never block anyone. The devs/mods have said it does nothing to prevent you from getting them again. You are just experiencing a placebo effect.
Even if that's true, it satisfies me to block them anyway.

Blocking prevents them sending you a friend request, nothing more.
I beg to differ. I usually don't get matched again with people I've blocked.
-
You can also just block them. Greatly decreases the chances you will be paired up with them again.

It's a joke. Just got Devour moried by Wraith with the all seeing add-on. I don't know if I'm mad about it or not. It's a joke. Plus he had some speed boost add-on. He's a semi-weak killer that's hyper buffed by his add-ons.

But it still can be too flat....
idk but you can read it in "known issues" in the new patch notes.
It's hilarious that this thing was changed and still can be bugged (or it was a joke from beHaviour)
It might be a joke but I remember people complaining before about them nerfing his "rear".
-
I used to play Wraith(last time I played Wraith was late 2019) solely because he was the easiest to play. Using his power was incredibly simple and didn't require much brainpower. I can see now, he still doesn't require brainpower at all <_<.
-
I really miss the days when the maps were darker and looked "scary". Indoor maps especially suffer from regeant offerings because you hardly ever notice them.
-
@Dacrenon That's good to know. I guess we have, just the notifications were inconsistent.

@VaJaybles said:
Until doors are opposite of each other I say keep hatch. Killer has the opportunity to close hatch that's why grabs were removed. If you have two doors on the same wall, as well as the opportunity to close and grab then there is no hope. You killed 3/4 survivors take the W. Keys are obviously a different story
This! Why are killers still able to patrol doors that spawn so close together sometimes?
-
It's a bug. You should report it to bug reports.
-
There are Tome challenges that require you to escape the match with a key.
-
Just got tunneled by a rank 1 Plague on the RPD map. I've only played that map a few times and it still confuses me. Had to end the match right there. Tunneling is a strategy but I won't stand for it.
-
Seems logical. AFK until the match is over then find something that makes you laugh and gets you in a better mood.

Then what exactly are you claiming?
What TAG said. You said "Bravo lads" ironically while also claiming you didn't necessarily need to win that pallet drop, so what point were you trying to make then?
-
Because each match is unique. Through the good and the BAD, I probably won't stop playing altogether anytime soon.
-
@Steel_Eyed said:
Report them. You can voice being upset with different words.
I suppose I could have on PSN, but I wasn't bothered by their words so I just let it go. It was already too late to in-game report them because I didn't read their messages until like 20 minutes after the match ended.
-
I've only played the RE map 3 times!!! And the offering doesn't even work anymore. I keep getting The Game map if anything.
-
Perks like Gear Head, Cruel Limits, and Overcharge, just to name a few, don't give survivors any way of knowing the perk is active until after they continue touching the gen.
If killer's knew Blast Mine was active on a generator, they may not kick it and that can be crucial for them until the perk's effects wears off.
-
@Warcrafter4 said:
I have been getting them on PC as killer mainly but also occasionally as survivor(try playing blight with 2-3 second long lag spikes every other rush).
However the main issue I have noticed is that even PC killers are getting lagged out of the game(Lag induced Crash/DC).
For example: When I was playing as a survivor against a Nemesis who got stuck in an endless survivor hooking animation loop for 10 seconds until he was forcibly DCed.
Edit: I also noticed the game forcibly changed my graphics settings to ultra from my normal settings of medium.
I can do you one better. Nemesis downed a Jake that was on death hook and Jake literally slid across the entire map on his stomach until he was DC'd 😅.

So... You 4man slugged teams because of a nerf to a perk?
This isn't the epic protest you thought it was.
Oh, is that why this person made this post, to slug? Whatever makes them sleep at night. All over a video game....
-
I'm trying my best but I'll take another break. Once they release the hot fix or whatever, I'll come back.
-
The survivor bots when you play killer were actually decent, as long as you didn't single one survivor out at a time to win. They were pretty good all around. They could use improvement or at least a difficulty setting.
-
On to the good....I like playing survivor a lot....I guess that's good. I like the Coldwin maps too but they are too bright.

It’s always to ruin someone’s experience. Maybe you don’t see it that way but people with this playstyle are very toxic and don’t care about anyone except themselves.
I agree.
-
Are you referring to the Golden Age challenge? Same thing. 3 iridescent and one gold and didn't get any credit towards the challenge.

As a fellow console player of the 8th generation, I feel you and it will not happen anytime soon. Give it another year then maybe they will think about us.
