What does solo queue being frustrating have to do with Dead Hard being overpowered?

Because when your teammates are unhooking you right by the killer or you’re being tunneled off hook none of which are your fault and can feel unfair you’ll take anything you can get to stay in the match longer.

  • eh maybe I need to toughen up but at the same time play my hardest to win lol

  • @gatsby said:

Windows is good at all levels for one reason: you can identify which sections of the map are dead zones. Even if you're a pro if you're playing solo queue you're not gonna know where all the pallets got thrown. Alert and Any Means Necessary are also good for this if you've got a good memory.

Doesn't matter how good you are at looping if you didn't know shack pallet was thrown and the Killer has an insta-down

Ya and there are so many pallets hidden in some corner I’ve seen survivors go down with a pallet right by them and I’m like ouch lol that’s why I feel like it’s a necessary clutch perk

  • Maybe I’m too prideful lol but since survivors often complain about this stuff I just wanted to let you know why some killers just don’t care anymore. This is a toxic salt mining game

  • @[Deleted User] said:

My thought is that it should be all four animatronics that are patrolling the map with a white stain, and the killer can shift control from to the other. Animatronics could follow and acknowledge survivors, but don't attack unless they are the one the killer controls.

Imagine, you working a gen, Chica is nearby just wandering, all of a sudden, she twitches, her eyes shift from white light to red and she turns and looks at you. 😱😱😱

Dude that’s a great idea Sorry just read this lol

  • Baffles my mind why they haven’t dealt with this, it wouldn’t be that hard. Just make it so if the survivor doesn’t work on generators for about three minutes they die instantly like when the timer runs out at end game. They can make it lore friendly. They could get a warning, something like “the entity is displeased with you and will kill you if you don’t start working on the generators”

    Ah

I see you too enjoy Benjo's antics

A man of culture you are.

Love him lol he’s so funny and chill and he makes entertaining skits outta his gameplay. I think he deserves much more recognition. This forum isn’t the place though

a for effort, f for.... whatever that was.

I just put a link to a funny YouTube video and small sentence It was no effort at all. I guess this is a place for crying and arguing so I won’t bother no more lol

I ain't giving (what I assume is your own video) views to anything that's not even half explained.

It’s a video from a YouTuber named Benjo This community man 😂 I’m trying to post something that’s funny and isn’t full of the constant complaining and crying on these forums

  • @Tr1nity said:

    what

I'm joking watch the video lol

  • Just ignore people who complain about tunnling. Unless you're deliberately trying to be toxic. You're under no obligation to just let them do what they want and hurt yourself just because they were hooked last

Gen rush is also a pretty silly complaint. So what do you expect the survivors to do, not work on gens? I never understood that one.

And killers are supposed to kill the survivors hench why they chase the most vulnerable survivors and camp to secure to kills

  • @Ryan489x said:

I know there are millions of topics on this all the time. This isn't a blanket Boo flashlights. They're fine However I just played a game where I was. playing a game where I was getting insta blinded by a flashlight.

Even if I turn away in time. I get back to back blinded and I mean instantly not even a delay in it.

I get blinded when the survivor isn't even facing me. it felt like I was getting blind from behind and that shouldn't even be a thing.

I know there are counters to flashlights so don't get me wrong.

Look up. Didn't have time as soon as I saw the light I was blind,

use lightborn. when you're going for adepts you can't do that.

how is insta blinding a killer over and over again any fun?

a forced delay between blinds would be great or when you blind it takes more out of the flashlight charge.

I understand your frustrations but once you get in the habit of looking around after a down and faking pick ups to bait the flashlight users out they will actually get you more kills. Of all the items flashlights are actually the least threatening.

  • @graveyard_7777 said:

I'd choose old ruin 100% would help with gen rushing

A toned down Pop like make kicking reduce progress by ten percent. This gives kicking some actual value and pressures survivors to consider going for another generator instead of just taping them

  • @KolbyKolbyKolby said:

Would be great to get turned into a killer and then constantly get in the way of the killer while my SWF buddy gets away because I'm blocked the killer path

Ya I guess I should’ve considered that im a mostly solo player who plays for fun not the sweaty high mmr lol

  • @jesterkind said:

If they hop into a snowman and you shock that snowman, it breaks, but neither you nor the survivor get the cosmetic for it. That's what they mean, though they're of course overreacting.

    Ah okay thanks

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

None, because my profile is privat. Otherwise Killers would dodge me too much in DBD due to my hours.

Also nobody should see all the spicy games I am playing. :>

I don’t get that. I want to play against a experienced person. It’s the only way to get better

  • Either Corrupt Intervention or Lethal Pursuer is a must. You got to find the survivors and start stalking asap. Ruin and Undying of course if you wanna be super meta or maybe Surge or Pop Goes the Weasel if youre more chill.

Obviously three gens going off while you're trying to stalk isn't fun so one Gen Regression perk and either Lethal or Corrupt is needed if you wanna have a good game against half way decent survivors. For your other two Infectious fright is great for getting the most value out of tier three, Monitor and Abuse is great because it makes your already low terror raidius in tier 2 lower AND stacks with the Dead Rabbit addon so at tier two youll be on them before they know it. Also Bamboozel is good because it stacks with the extra vault speed in tier three.

For addons I would go with the ones that make your stalking faster and his tier three longer or again Dead Rabbit to stack with Monitor and Abuse.

  • Pyramid Head. I love the way he jams his sword into the ground after a hit. Also like you said about Oni Katanas have always been one of the most stylish weapons. I like wacking people with Plaques weapons after they go broken from illness too. Also I like how Mikey handles his knife and of course Nemesis just cracking jaws lol

  • In my experience the only map this killer struggles on is the really big map with the building in the middle because survivors can get a huge distance.

  • I don’t know I guess I play too causally. It just seems to me like the box is met to be taken from the survivors on occasion when you get lucky. I’ve seen games where it’s just impossible for them to stop the hunt with these two perks and felt bad for them. My perception is that these perks working with the lament configuration broke the killers intended design. But if what you guys are saying is true then I’ll use these perks guilt free lol

  • @Boss said:

Things that justify tunneling to me...

    • It's allowed.

Ya but you can stand to be a decent person lol I remember my noob days as a survivor and it sucked getting tunneled and camp. But you be you I guess I’m just a nice guy lol

  • @Jago said:

    You do you mate.

But yeah, tunnelling will probably make you win and climb MMR to finally... Taste your own medicine by facing sweatsquad that know how to handle it.

I don’t normally tunnel unless I’m forced too. Depends in the situation

    @unluckycombo said:

Imho, tunneling is a necessary evil. Particularly in cases like End Game, where you're just trying to secure your last kill, or against a team who is all really good except for the one weak link.

However, tunneling because of a key or someone annoying you probs isn't the play bud. If they're running a key, they're probably also running a perk like DS, or they're a memer with a chest build. (Or maybe they just brought a green key!) They can also just... drop the key somewhere and tell their buds, which doesn't eliminate the issue from the game. (Or they might just not have the add-on to keep it in the first place. Heck, they might just be trying to get the achievement or an archive challenge done.) If you're truly worried about a key, you need to play well and keep up pressure on everyone. Tunneling against good survivors just encourages them to spread out on gens and finish them ASAP, because they won't have time to do anything else.

If you're tunneling due to flashlights... you just need to learn how to counter flashlights??? Look at walls when you go to pick up. Fake pick ups to catch the flashlight user out of position. If someone is harrassing you with a flashlight, usually it's something avoidable. And, if they're doing that, they're not doing gens- meaning they're probably the least threatening person on the team. (Seriously, I've had multiple games where the team would just throw because they all ran flashlights, and I knew how to fake them out- and so they would get injured/downed/slugged, and because no one was on gens and I cycled through their health states so fast, they didn't have a chance.) Flashlights are the items with the most counterplay.

ya you’re right just bait them out. Thanks.

  • @Alphasoul05 said:

Weird thinking doing something that exists and is part of the game needs justification in the first place. It's as dumb as people who don't use specific killers or specific perks because someone else who plays the game might call them a mean word because of it. Who cares?

If you go into every game with the intent to tunnel and camp, then it's probably a you're a bad player problem for sure, though.

I don’t normally but sometimes the situation forces me too

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/278988/cant-play-killer-because-of-queue-times

Daytime question are fast for survivors but slow at nighttime while it’s the opposite for killers. Trying playing killer at nighttime or late afternoon

Ques not question auto correct lol

  • @danielmaster87 said:

No matter what time of day it is since this patch came out, it's been instant lobbies for survivors and 5+ minutes waiting for a killer lobby. You would think it would be the opposite. A killer-only chapter just came out, and everybody's testing out the new killer, so why aren't the killer queues short and the survivor ones long? This is a serious problem because I happen to prefer playing killer, just as many others do. If we can't play the role we want then why are we playing? This isn't Friday the 13th.

Daytime question are fast for survivors but slow at nighttime while it’s the opposite for killers. Trying playing killer at nighttime or late afternoon

Hold the cube and you can easily break chains with walls or whatever is around you and everyone else can go about their business doing stuff w/o worry. Why arent there more harsher penalties for a survivor that holds the cube hostage?

If I see you holding the box I’m going straight for you so I can get it and start a mass chain hunt and the random spawning chains will just make you that much easier to find. You’re better off just going a long distance from Pinhead and using it right before chain hunts start

  • @Mouth0fMadness said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2482928#Comment_2482928

Nah, OP has the right idea.

I've been running both addons to increase box solving time, initially it's 6 secs w no addons, 12 secs after both addons. This gives you plenty of time to get to the survivor and exactly as OP said if theyre too far away just hit them with a chain to interrupt.

I've also been running Franklins so I make sure to get the box on first hit.

also running plaything, deadlock & thrlling hunt along w franklins

Been winning most games w this playstyle.

It’s powerful in my experience and I don’t even have Franklins man he’s gonna be sick when I get that perk

  • Yep it does 👍 Tested it with a friend In custom I’m using it soon as I can lol

  • @Msterflex said:

When someone try’s to open the box don’t teleport unless they’re too far away. Go after them normally instead and use his chain power on them while they’re holding it. If you knock them down with the box you pick up the box and get notified of the other survivors location but even better you start a mass chain hunt. This character had a lot of map pressure potential

    Has sorry

  • @Seraphor said:

    They all have separate MMR.

Rank or Grade has nothing to do with how good you are.

Killers share Grade because survivors share Grade. Otherwise you'd have to keep track of 27 different Grades and how would BHVR sort out the monthly rewards then? 10k BP per killer at top Grade?

    ah okay lol

  • @WeenieDog said:

yes, it does trigger off of hooked survivors.

    Okay thanks 👍

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

Personally, I think it's hilarious when the survivor with BT tries to body-block me.

I just stand there while they run into me. And then we just stare at eachother.

    Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

The survivor finally realizes what's about to happen and starts booking it.

    Unfortunately, I was counting.

And they don’t get to complain about tunneling if I don’t wanna get chased I don’t try to get the killers attention lol

  • I don’t think this is toxic behavior just a bad tactic lol that won’t work against a good killer. Out distance and if he try’s to tunnel you at least you got BT

  • You gotta protect the totems. They’re marked red for you so walk over to them every once in a while. In fact I walk towards the totem soon as the game starts to see if I can catch a survivor. There’s also hex undying, retribution and thrill of the hunt. They’re met to provide a new gameplay element other than the generators

  • I hate dead hard with a passion. The other exhaustion perks have fair and acceptable trade offs to me. They’re strong but they can be dealt with.

  • I mean at least pretend like you’re trying lol can’t hurt to just play like a noob and chase one guy around and get looped while the others repair the gens

  • I managed to get two kills as trapper while the gates were open thanks to No Way Out buying me time and a few good traps. Almost got three but the third crawled out before I could get back to him even with Agitation lol

  • There's absolutely nothing wrong with proxy camping in

many situations and sometimes you gotta tunnel as the game is reaching the end point. They gotta get over it and "get good"

  • His simplicity is a good thing to me and they translated his behavior in the movies to DbDs gameplay perfectly. The most well made character in the game in my opinion

  • You did t think this one through friend. Spinchill and depending on gen location your own eyes can counter tinkerer

  • Are you using flashlights with powerful add ons to stun killers outta of kills or bringing keys? I tunneling and camp those guys outta games. I do what I gotta do cause they’re a huge threat so be a good player if you’re gonna draw their attention with those items and gameplay

  • Oh ya establishing a territory like staying near three gens and getting rid of the pallets around them helps a lot. Gotta accept you’re gonna lose gens but try and choose which ones they get.

  • Thanks for the tips guys. I’m starting to realize I’ve been too nice lol I gotta learn to slug people, punish mistakes like unhooking near me and even just using m1s to get everyone wounded (especially with sloppy butcher) goes a long way and ya keeping all the survivors preoccupied instead of chasing one. just gotta learn to ignore the salt. Also having a good hex (namely ruin and undying) goes a long way cause it forces them to search for totems.

  • @Msterflex said:

It feels like I can’t chase even one survivor for like 20 seconds before they got three gens repaired by the time he’s hooked. I don’t hyper focus I give a brief chase break a pallet or two and get a hook but it seems literally impossible to chase survivors and do gen pressure at the same time so what am I supposed to do?

The only answers I can think of is use ruin and undying but I hate being compelled to use a perk

  • Ya Im able to use him decently. Just like with Oni you won’t be as precise with controller

  • I hope this is a troll post otherwise you need to play killer more boy lol

  • @Zozzy said:

He is just weak. they even said it themselves in this rework post yesterday. Tbh the upcoming rework may have made him even weaker from the looks of it.

They basically gave him usb as base kit and then nerfed everything else about him to compensate making the change pointless.

Geez what a shame I enjoy his play style but he needs some changes big time. Letting you choose to use main event (not showtime lol) and reduce the number of knifes needed to hurt the survivors would be nice.
