I wonder what will happen if you try and burn the offering. Probably crash the game or do something really cool!popoles said:I want to introduce you to the rarest common offering:

Either that or balance the hatch because at the moment, it's just no fun!Tsulan said:Just remove the hatch for gods sake.

That the point @steezo_de the killer should have something against this so they can get the match over with! I mean I think everyone can agree how stupid the hatch stand off is because your LITERALLY having a "who can be more patient" contest, your looking at you prey unable to do anything which is the point I'm trying to make! Either add my idea which is actually fun and fair for both sides or simply remove the hatch! I never in my DBD career have said "Remove" something but just look at what the hatch causes, it's not fun nor fair... It's a flawed design that the developers didn't think of the moment the game was released. Sorry developers however you know that's true but I still appreciate how much your trying to fix the whole problem.steezo_de said:Why? They both don't have to be there if they don't want to be.
Oh, killer mains always make VALID complaints about being underpowered and how survivors have too many "Jail free" cards yet they are completely okay with the current hatch problem giving the survivor a "Jail free" card.
Here's my rework for the hatch stand off:

It's another reason why the hatch should be able to be closed by the killer. 4 hours is just insane for a game, lmao!Runiver said:What do you think ?

Basically if you don't find a key before the next generator is powered, you'll proceed to the next hook phase without needing to be hooked. I love the idea but it can cause trolls, AKA survivors that want to ruin your game and be douche bags. They would run around and complete generators just to screw with other survivors who haven't yet found a key. If you can solve that issue then I'm 100% fine with this complete rework, great idea @MercuryMercury said:Here's how this all would work out:
- The Pig can put traps on a dying survivor.
- These traps can not be taken off until the exit gates are powered. (I'll get to this shortly.)
- The traps are active the moment they are put on a survivor and are affected by completed generators.
- Completing a generator while a Survivor wears a RBT will rip it open partially, immediately sending them into the next hook phase. Survivors in a chase, on the hook or in the dying state are not affected. (Basically the same as of right now.)
- To prevent this the Survivors with a RBT on their head have to check Jigsaw boxes for a key. If a survivor has a key the trap will not rip open partially and use up the found key. They will have to repeat and check the Jigsaw box for a new key before repairing the next generator.
- Once the exit gates have been powered, the trap timer starts ticking down.
From this point it is mostly the same. You may not exit via the exit gate, since it would kill you. The time is set to 2:30 minutes to prevent death by the RBT. Being chased, being on the hook or being in the dying state stops the timer.
To me it would feel like the RBT would actually do what they are meant to do at that point, which is effectively stall the game, while not being too deadly, if played accordingly. This way it leaves you with more time to go after people without a bear trap, while it should also stop the need for tunneling a trapped survivor. Survivors would be notified by a small key icon next to the person, that it is safe to activate the generator now.
There is a smaller change I would like to suggest to her ambush as well.
-The crouch animation should be sped up, to the degree of combat straps. A rework to the add-on would be appreciated.
- The speed during the ambush should be the same as Hag's, Huntress and Doctor in treatment mode.
- The camera height should be aligned with the actual height the Pig is at. Right now it is way too low to the ground.
- Other things that are probably being worked on already though are the screech, which should be slightly delayed with the attack and the insidious noise ultimately killing her surprise attack.I would be glad to hear all of your thoughts, especially of some Pig mains, since they would probably have the best view on this. Until then, have fun fellow fog travelers.

Question: If your on death hook and you fail to find a key before the next generator... will the RBT instantly kill you? -
Wow... that's a good one lmao!brokedownpalace said:He should start with no bottles and he should have to search lockers for them like Huntress. Also, he should only get 1 bottle per search, but that would be improved with an Ultra Rare add on that lets him find 2 bottles per search but searching takes twice as long and reveals his aura to all survivors with 100m.
Thank you. -
I would prefer a change towards her ambush ability rather than her RBT because ambush is rarely used. Sometimes I'm sneaky and get a early hit or use it in mind-games to fake one direction and then dash the other direction for a hit.Eninya said:If Ambush gets buffed/Sprint Burst can't counter it they can't touch her traps as well.
Personally, I'd rather see Ambush lose the roar (and maybe move at 100% speed), rather than her traps have a better swing in RNG.
However, a better swing on trap escape RNG discourages camping and gives her more opportunity to spread pressure. (Like the Doctor, but less cancer.)
-
I definitely understand where your coming from @Salty_Pearl , I had Amanda's Letter and the two Jigsaw Boxes were literally right beside each other. I should've put the RBT on two survivors and camp the boxes so they can't get it off... two for the price of 1 special lmao! However I didn't because I wanted to be fair lol and not get any saltSalty_Pearl said:Oh my god yes, that would be an amazing buff! I personally just think that RBT's need to be harder to get off and that the jigsaw boxes need to spawn at least 40m away from each other. I once had a match where 3 boxes were literally so close to each other that I didn't even bother to use the RBTs.
Back to the topic lol, yes better spaced Jigsaw Boxes will definitely be a great time waster! Great ideas @Salty_Pearl and would definitely put Amanda in a better place!
-
I know, that's why I said it's a nerf because the PICK UP SPEED enables easier flashlight saves. However it can be a buff because the survivor has to be there faster than ever and with lightborn... you have to be there the moment the pick up animation begins. Overall it's alright, the faster you can get hooks the better but there are some down sides with having a shorter pick up time.Salty_Pearl said:I wasn't talking about flashlight saves, I was just talking about the pickup speed in general.
-
I find it more of a nerf for the killer because flashlight timings are easier! At the very beginning of the pick-up, you just count "One Mississippi, two Mississippi" then fire your beam of doom! In other words if you had a stop watch then you and the stopwatch starts counting to 10 (Without you looking at the stopwatch), you'll likely be 1 to a half of a second off from the stopwatch. Now if you do the same thing with counting to 3 seconds you'll probably be closer to the stopwatch time because there wasn't enough time for you to get off the stopwatch's timer. It's the same reason how you can still save people with Lightborn, just aim your flashlight as SOON as possible at the killer's eyes, again your counting to 0 but since you already at 0... you get a perfect save every time.Salty_Pearl said:Now I know this sounds really stupid to ask because it's a buff, but am I the only one who thinks it's too fast? I mean I wouldn't mind a slight decrease in time, but 3 seconds is a lot.
-
Yeah, she's not far off from being a great killer! In other words she needs some QoL changes or slight number tweaks to put her in a better spot. She may not be as good as nurse with these changes but she definitely has more powerful controlling the generator speed and getting early hits on survivors.Doc_W__HOLLIDAY said:As a Pig main, I will gladly take any buffs to her!

Quick question though, when will hatch closing be implemented? I didn't see it anywhere in the notes, and I'd like to be able to close it eventually
-
Talking about recollecting RBT's, I don't see why she's limited to four RBT's. Having an infinite supply of RBT can't be OP since usually survivors get them off eventually! Yeah, I definitely agree on recycling previous used RBT and can really help her out! Nice ideas @ShrimpTwiggsShrimpTwiggs said:I like the idea of decreasing the duration of her dash in exchange for speed. I also had the idea that she would be able to recollect her RBT by going to the Jigsaw Boxes and picking up the traps that the survivors removed.

Yes, you are correct!soshidow said:I'm pretty confused as well.

I'm not sure if you took my previous post to you offensively but I wasn't trying to be offensive to you! I'm saying go ham with HOW MUCH MORE POWER that you now have lmao, you deserve to be the power role that killer's were meant to be!MrChills said:I been destorying survivors when we were weak dude. i've achieved rank 1 on both sides.
-
I've mixed feelings on Solo Survivor atm but I do like the idea that you can heal within NC range with 2 tokens. However I do know that OoO + SS is weaker now since with 3 tokens, the killer can see your aura if he's outside 60 meters from where you are at. Old SS + OoO, you had an infinite which means the killer would never catch you because you always know where he was at and could plan ahead.
I'm not going to suggest anything to SS until I play around with the perk more! -
Actually, I think your not well adapted for having more power as a killer! Most killer mains aren't used to being strong, if I was you... have fun destroying survivors because it's how it should've been a long time ago!MrChills said:Will be nerfed. I am now playing every game with it and I have not lost a single person. Even when they try to ninja me or juke, haven't lost them. it's really, really strong. I think it will be nerfed. You would have to be an absolute dummy to lose someone with this perk. It's not even possible.

Dude, I know right! Freddy is just too OP and easy, I don't wanna go overkill on the 4k using NOED or Ruin!Mc_Harty said:Also don't use Ruin or NOED since he's soooooo easy kek.
Okay, enough joking around lmao!
I'm just going to assume your new to DbD so I'll give you some tips to help you against Freddy!feffrey said:All you have to do with Freddy is use your ability for tracking the walk to each gen
That's pretty easy
1.) Self Care: It's probably one of the most easiest ways for you to wake yourself up! Just fail a Self Care skill check then you'll force Freddy to sleep you again!
2.) Dream Realm: When you're outside Freddy's terror radius, he can see your aura if your in the dream realm! Try to use this against him by hiding near him, behind generators (make sure that the generator is between you and Freddy), and most importantly just loop him... his power doesn't do anything to help him while in a chase.
3.) Solo Survivor: I think this perk is way underrated! Once you get all 3 tokens, Freddy won't be able to see your aura from 60 meters away from where he is in the dream realm! This gives you more opportunities to stealth him which would rather be near impossible in the dream realm. -
Okay, I'm going to get to rank 1 with Freddy then! Wish me luck everyone since it takes no skill to reach rank 1 with Freddy! If you want easy wins play these killers for a easy win
Doctor
Freddy
Wraith
Hill billy
Leatherface
Clown
These killers here take zero skill to use
Most players that use them just hold spam their ability

Just keep swing and hitting them survivors. Trust me you can do a lot of damage within the 16 seconds you have before the carried survivor wiggles free. Sometimes I have injured all 3 body blockers and still got the hook!So I want to know how do you counter survivors body blocking hooks?
It makes it near impossible to hook a survivor that you're carrying if you have one blocking hooks and flash in you.
Just played a match on xb1 where they were blocking a hook and pushing me away from the hook canceling my animation meter -
That's not a bad either, if the killer is slower then he can't reach the hook as fast which can indirectly buff transportation perks. Basically what I'm aiming at with the flashlight rework is to add more fun to using it and not be so unfun being the victim while keeping it's power.ACoolName said:maybe it should just slow down the killer?
so stuff like Agitation would get an indirect buff and maybe replace one of the meta perks.
or maybe rework lightborn to fit this.
@ShrimpTwiggs Your Welcome!ShrimpTwiggs said:Thanks
It's really nice to see when people throw out ideas rather then just say 'nerf this' and 'buff that.' And it's good to see positivity on these forums every now and then.
I don't care how much something gets buffed or nerfed... I just want it to be fun for both sides. If camping was fun for both sides then you would hardly see any complaints and same goes for tunneling! Personally I dislike camping both as a survivor and killer because your doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but it's sadly needed... *Coff Coff* Gen rush. -
This can be a rework as well, like if the killer was on a pallet but you couldn't reach the pallet in time... you could blind him in place to help you get the pallet drop save. It could work well with the NEW DS because the killer is forced a blind since he can't move which gives the survivor more time to wiggle. Nice ideas @ShrimpTwiggsShrimpTwiggs said:If you were to take off the ability to make a killer drop the survivor with a flashlight save, I think having the killer be stunned and unable to move (except for the direction they're looking of course) would be better then increasing the wiggle speed.
-
Huntress, Pig, and Nurse! I love the 360 no scope potential with the Huntress-- *Gets a 360 no scope shot* OMG MOM GET THE CAMERA, MOMMY MOMMY!!!!

I'm saying more sides should be blocked off then there is currently. I'll give you an example, usually there's a generator in the killer's shack... Imagine a tall box blocking one or two sides. Another example is Lèry's, there are some generators that only have one side available thus forcing one survivor to go through the entire 80 second repair time. Additionally you can't easily find generators in Lèry's because some generators don't have flickering lights above them and there's a lot of LoS blockers from seeing the generators to work on.HeroLives said:
Are we playing the same game Bc most of the generators have 2-3 sides available only. A couple have two. then 1 Single side.the rest are four sidesbut they are in open places that have no cover or killer shack which is boxed in but can be loopable. The gens are in the right places for their side count. -
I mean yeah, great survivors will be excellent at hitting skill checks but it's something to help him. Imagine a survivor trying to disarm a bear trap then let's say by chance that the survivor fails the skill check, that's a hook if RNG is in your favor! In other words it will be something to help the trapper out and can (Notice how I said "CAN") get him hooks, yeah it's not reliable but it's better than nothing! Talking about RNG, they should remove it and replace it with a struggle meter because RNG can keep survivors in the bear trap for too long or too little. The moment you get the option to struggle while in a bear trap, start to finish it'll take 10 seconds to free yourself. While struggling, you'll get skill checks, failing them will regress the struggle meter and yes great survivors will hit these but again it's something rather than nothing!Envees said:Skilled survs can hit great skill checks on a regular basis. Go on youtube and check how many times they can hit them. The skill check will not be an issue for people in high ranks at all.
There will be a risk but it wont stop them from risking it in the first place. Especially if the trap they found is in a really bad spot for them and seriously advantageous for the killer.
A %5 of the circle skill check will make them pause and think. That is a serious risk but not the great skill check that are on gens or the snap out of it skill check that just about everybody can hit.
If what you are saying is going live then all this will do, i think, is add a slightly longer disarm time and nothing else. It should stop a surv mid-chase from disabling a trap. We hope. But compare breaking pallet times to disarm times.
-
I did propose a change that in any instance that you stop healing (this is for every healing action not just Self Care) that you'll instantly lose 25% of your progress and normal regression happens after. If you didn't completely stitch yourself up then the string that holds your skin together will loosen up, not instantly undo itself with the power of magic lol.i don’t care how many perks of ours they nerf, self care is way too valuable when you’re a solo survivor and have an unreliable team....
EDIT: It was said that the nerf is going to be that you will lose all progress if you stop healing, I am completely okay with that nerf. I just thought I couldn’t self heal for a maximum amount of times. Some people also made some suggestions about using other perks in the place of Self Care like Bond... I think I’ll be trying it. -
Your video proves my point further, I skipped to the 5 minute mark and all generators still haven't been completed. All generators were completed at 6:36 during the video but I do understand the point your trying to make. Generators can get completed really fast, no doubt that but there are multiple variables you'll have to consider. If I were to make generators balanced I would increase generators repair times to 90/65/50/35, 90 seconds being 1 survivor on a generator and 35 seconds being 4 survivors on a generator. Additionally, the environment should block some sides of the generator to prevent multiple survivors from working on the same generator to a point where it would be rare to see a 4 side generator.Someissues said:It's a bit exaggerated but can happen if they all bring toolboxes
anyhow here's a game, in 3 minutes 4 gens being done while a Killer is chasing one person on the Groaning Storehouse, Ruin was active the whole time, 1 toolbox was used and it was uncommon, no BNP use
Now imagine without Ruin how many gens will be done in 3 minutes
this can tell you how fast gens gets done
-
In other words, when you attempt to disarm a bear trap... you'll have to succeed a easy skill check. Failing the skill check will trap the survivor's hand and dealing one health state worth of damage. I agree with this change, but I'll make it even better for you! In the PTB and soon live, the disarm time will be 2.5 seconds (I think so don't quote me). When the survivor finishes the 2.5 second disarm time, that survivor will get a easy skill check to see if the survivor disarms it or gets trapped. The bloody coil should reduce success zones and cause a instant down if they fail the disarm skill check.DoctorStrogg said:While disarming a beartrap, instead of just pressing RMB survivors would be faced with a single skillcheck with a higher success zone (like 20 or 30% of the whole circle). Missing the skillcheck will trigger beartrap instantly (this could be another animation with your hands being trapped).
-
See, I think people exaggerate when they say 2 minute games... Yeah go ahead call me a survivor main but it's the truth! Games are usually around 5 minutes long, ruin could add more time to this... it depends on the survivor skill and totem RNG. I just think the problem is both based on how fast the killer can end chases vs how fast survivors can complete objectives. If the killer could end chases in 5 seconds (<--- This is an example) then 2 minute games wouldn't be a problem but currently chases can last 30 seconds up to around 1 minute half, that's most of your time gone. The survivors should only be strong when they are working together not by themselves, I'm speaking for every killer main out there.Delfador said:I have no problem with survivors who gen rush. After all, it is the only objective that the survivors have right? More you kid around, more pallets get destroyed, less chance that you will survive, I get it. However, you can't claim unless you are a nurse that if survivors want to finish generators as quickly as possible, you are able to stop them. It is not just possible. Maps are too big and there are way too much pallets. In certain maps even if you don't loop but throw the pallets and force the killer to break them, you will run him for 5 gens.
Your play style is kinda good but right now, survivors have no reason to be afraid of the killer. There is no reason for hiding unless it is your third hook or something.
Getting destroyed by a hag is okay because akiller can make plays with her. Getting destroyed by trapper or leatherface is kinda weird. It is not like I am never getting destroyed by them but when usually somebody is getting destroyed by these killers, it is more of his problem and fault. Killers can't make plays with leatherface he is way too simple.
Mentioning addons is not a great way to go. Killers can't have the addons that they want all the time. When people complain about hag and claim that she is too weak, they don't think about mint rag hag. With mint rag, she is way too powerful nobody denies that.
I agree with what you said about optimum perks. Yeah there are great perks for certain killers and they should be used for them.
I want to play mind games and force people to do stuff like force them to go some areas but as I have said when you try to do that, the game can be over if the survivors want. This is the problem. There is a chance that the game can be over within 4 minutes and even nurse sometimes can't handle this, if she is not very good. Average matches should take at least 8-10 minutes.
-
Oh, if your talking about every survivor using BNP then we're talking about less than 2 minute games. However overall, games usually last around 5 minutes but even with 5 minute games, that's not enough time for the killer to do his job! Sometimes nurses WITHOUT ruin will need to play out of her mind to have a decent chance. A known YouTuber I watch is "trU3Ta1ent" and he plays nurse a lot, probably one of the best out there... However without ruin, despite being a great nurse player has to race against the clock! Remember 5 minutes isn't a lot of time and at most can probably get around 2 sacrifices!Master said:Its pretty easy to finish a game in less than 3 minutes, especially when all survivors want to get rid of their BNPs before the nerf

That's very odd, usually killers are the one receiving the salt mail. I rarely run DS, sometimes I'm bored and wanna try non-meta builds like Solo Survivor, DS, and Object of Obsession! All 3 perks work together because if the killer ignores you, Solo Survivor will get tokens and will make Object of Obsession very powerful as the killer can't see your aura back! However yeah there will be bad sportsmanship players on both killers and survivors, gotta learn to ignore them lol.Why_Are_You_Salty said:I was playing survivor and I was against a billy. My team was being overly altruistic and everyone died except me. I was pallet looping him and I found the hatch I got out then he messaged me saying I'm bad cause I pallet loop and said he was going to report me lol. He also mentioned I had DS, but DS is one of the only good perks I have on David I still need to level him and once I get better at the game then I'll quit running DS (btw I'm not toxic, I don't use flashlights or teabag). He was salty. He said he was better than me because he got more points, but almost all the time killers get more points than survivors unless the survivors do really well or the killer is just bad. I just love salt.

@IronWolf115 and I agreed that this would put LF in a better area than he's in currently. Every time I see a LF as a survivor... "No, I'm gonna get one hooked because he's probably gonna camp me." I'm not saying camping is stupid because there are legit reasons why killer's do camp but it's not fun to be camped, so anything that discourages camping will make this community better. Here's the discussion if you wanna see my rework for him

Yeah definitely! Shadowborn needs some love because it's one of the few killer perks that don't have conditions! For example: Ruin needs to stay active for it to have it's effect, Wispers needs a survivor nearby to activate it, Overcharge needs a non-regressing generator to use it, while Shadowborn is a simple buff that has no conditions!Doom_Punk said:Lightborn used to make maps darker, I remember that too.
I agree, it wouldn't be a huge impact to the game. It'd just make seeing things easier and more clear. I wonder why they got rid of it to begin with, but I miss it.

-
I don't see why they can't brighten your screen up, it's not like it'll become a problem like DS! Hopefully they'll increase the normal POV then Shadowborn increases it moderately while brightening dark areas! Make it happen developers!Doom_Punk said:
-
It'll be cool if Shadowborn increases your FOV a little (Like you mentioned above) while brightening dark areas of the map. Wouldn't that be cool because you'd be able to see sneaky survivors more easily + The perk actually makes sense become survivors will think that they can't be seen in shadows or dark areas!IronWolf115 said:Well the idea I have more is that the natural increase would not be to the extent of shadowborn, so when you put shadowborn on, it actually gives a small increase in the FOV that you get from it now. I mainly just want a small increase to the overall FOV because I feel it is WAY too close to the screen right now
-
The thing is only tinkerer is what made these add-ons so powerful, not the actual add-ons! Even with instant hatchets she still has to aim to hit a survivor, so I don't see why it takes less skill when you still have to aim. I'm speaking for every Huntress main out there and If you wanna talk about something very powerful, please leave that to the nurse. No other killer can end chases faster than her yet she doesn't get a nerf but Huntress does AND the Huntress is weaker than the nurse. Nurse just got a little more viable since Huntress won't be as viable to pick with these add-ons.Delfador said:Nope machine gun build huntress was very powerful and she deserved a nerf for that build. I hope they do the same thing to the nurse and then buff other killers.

I feel like that's fair as someone who plays more survivor than killer. However what would they do with Shadowborn?
