  • Isn't this a bit like Overwatch's ranking system? There's top500 player but they're region wise. And after not playing for a week or 2 there's a rank decay. Still tho this is pretty good

Yeah, this is overwatch based. I want rank to be more serious and competitive because it's just too easy ATM unless your playing killer lol.
  • Zavri said:

Nah, just copy hearthstone's ranking system instead.

I can't tell if your sarcastic or not lmao. I don't even know what hearthstone even is lol.

So many words just to say you’re a whiny child that can’t accept any other opinion than your own. Gz. Iam pretty sure you’re the next banned from what I read. At least because you didn’t fulfill age requirements.
If your talking to me then guess what? If the mods was going to ban me then they would have done it already thank you very much  Additionally there's a difference between giving your opinion on something and giving your disrespectful opinion on it. Maybe you shouldn't assume but what do I know?

You better watch out @Lowbei because I think the mods are gonna hunt you down next lmao. Jk, @Lowbei life's matter

Omg that’s too much now! I didn’t see that someone glorify leatherface so far or even the real person he’s based on. Also other games or movies was completly 1:1 based on psychopaths and I never heard that someone was glorified by ppl. Why should be DbD different?
Basically if a real life killer was introduced, then people would get upset because your glorifying that real life killer! Glorifying meaning: What that killer did was awesome.

PS: You kinda deserved your ban for being a d*** to me and @Master on my endorsement post IMO. It actually feels good to see the ban hammer get rid of unwanted players!

That's why we need dedicated servers.

Basically this here, I heard that it's impossible to lag switch if there's dedicated servers.

There are just a ridiculous number of hackers running around right now.

Though I did appreciate the trapper that could teleport all players and his traps (opened) to him around the map and in the sky. Thanks for teleporting us behind the exit gates to crawl out. There must be a new wall hack out that most players are using. Huntress players are throwing iridescent hatchets through walls across the map from starting points.

The developers have been working on a new report system for a while now, it's that they never mentioned their progress on it. I don't have a date on when they will finish the new report system but we need it soon because I seen people abusing the fact that the current report system doesn't nothing (EX: Hacks).
  • Orion said:

I posted a suggestion on the Wishlist section that someone else came up with that's similar to this. In that suggestion, the fifth perk slot would be for Hex perks only.

I like the idea @Orion, wouldn't hurt to test on the PTB. Only problem is that there's very few hex perks ATM, we need more hex perks!

  • Thanatophobia: For every injured, dying, hooked, dead, or disconnected Survivor, all Survivors receive the following penalties:
-3/4/5 percent reduced action speed to all actions.
-3/4/5 percent smaller success zones on ALL Skill Checks (DS and Snap Out Of It included).
-1/1/2 percent increased penalty on all Skill Check fails.
-All percentages are additive, not multiplicative, and relative to the default size of the success zone.
-If 4/3/2 Survivors are unhealthy, all Skill Checks lose their bonus zones except for Ruin Skill Checks.
-Survivors with No Mither equipped do not affect Thanatophobia while in the “injured” state.

I agree with this rework, ATM Thanatophobia is like a mini Ruin. This rework won't make Thanatophobia a go-to perk but it will definitely put this perk in a better spot while making the perk more versatile. Assuming that your talking about our reworked version of NM then why are NM users not affected by Thanatophopia when they can heal themselves to the healthy state? Unless you don't want NM punishing the entire team if they decide to not heal which is cool since they are challenging themselves not everyone else.

Surveillance: All damaged generators are revealed in white to you. A generator’s white aura gains a pinkish tinge if the generator regresses to zero. When a Survivor starts repairs on a white or pink generator, receive a unique notification. This notification has a cooldown of 20/15/10 seconds.

I think this is definitely much more better than the current Surveillance ATM. This would probably be enough that I would use it as a killer since you would know where the survivors are at if they decide to work on one of your regressing generators. I had a different idea where it would display survivors' auras within X/Y/Z meters from a regressing generator with a unique notification. Nevertheless this will definitely make the perk more viable and probably enough to sometimes get a perk slot on a killer IMO.

Territorial Imperative: When a Survivor is inside the basement and outside of your Terror Radius, their aura is revealed for 3/4/5 seconds or until they leave the basement. Has a cooldown of 30/25/20 seconds.

Interesting, I agree with permanent aura reveal while in the basement but I don't agree with the aura reveal when your outside the killer's terror radius because it almost ruins stealth. Even as a Solo Survivor perk user this would be difficult to play against IMO (Btw, I absolutely love Solo Survivor). Here's my idea and I will add your idea into my idea with your rework! :+1:

Territorial Imperative: When a Survivor is inside the basement their aura is revealed until they exit the basement. Additionally any survivor that is within 8 meters from a hook, totem, locker, and chest will have their aura revealed for 5 seconds. Has a cooldown of 60/45/30 seconds.

Tell me what you think @No_Mith@No_Mither_No_Problem!

Hex: Huntress’s Lullaby: No longer a Hex Perk.

Yeah, this is definitely a needed rework to Huntress' Lullaby IMO. Now it won't be deactivated early since every survivor working on a generator is warned about the hex perk, even when it doesn't have any tokens.

We’ll Make It: Upon performing a successful hook rescue for the first time, gain a 50/75/100% speed boost to healing for 30 seconds. For each unhook after that, the boost only lasts for 10 seconds. After the first hook rescue, every hook rescue you perform adds a 5/10/15% speed boost to healing up to a maximum of 10/20/30% for the remainder of the trial. The temporary and permanent speed boosts do not stack. If both are active, the temporary speed boost takes precedence over the permanent one. Does not affect self-healing.

This is okay but currently We'll make it is fine ATM. If the developers do decide that this perk needs a rework then this would definitely be a great rework.

Decisive Strike: Once per match, when picked up by the Killer, succeed a series of considerably/moderately/slightly difficult Skill Checks every two seconds to increase the wiggle bar and slightly/moderately/considerably offset the Killer’s path of movement. Each successful Skill Check increases the progress bar by 20%. If you fail a Skill Check, you will keep wiggle progress but you must resort to normal wiggling.

Your probably gonna get some hate from killer mains because they don't like "Jail free" cards. I know, I know that it's not as powerful as the old DS but anything close to a "Jail free" isn't good. Now back on topic, I think that's okay IMO because the killer has 10 seconds to reach a hook before you succeed the 5th skill check to wiggle free. However may I ask, what will happen if the killer drops you on the floor then picks you back up? Will you continue with the skill checks or will the perk be used up since it's a "Once per match" perk?

We’re Gonna Live Forever: Is not activated by hook rescues unless the unhooked Survivor stays off the hook for 10 seconds.

Let me rephrase that because I think you was looking for...

    We’re Gonna Live Forever
    (New Mechanic):
Tokens will be delayed for 10 seconds after unhooking a survivor. If the rescued survivor enters dying state within 10 seconds then the token won't be rewarded to the rescuer.

Absolutely love this change as it reduces farming! One time, I was the dying light obsession and the killer ended up finding me, downing me, then hooking me. Despite having a mori, the killer was playing fair and didn't camp me which is awesome... but a survivor lead the killer to me and unhooked me. DbD had to censor the rest that happened after lmao!

Self-Care: Unlocks the ability to heal yourself without a Med-Kit over the course of 40/35/30 seconds. You cannot use Self-Care to heal yourself if you suffer from the Mangled status effect or if you have used it to self-heal for the equivalent of 3 health states in one trial. TIER 3 ONLY: Failed Skill Checks do not have a negative impact on how much self-healing reserve you have left.

That's kinda hard to understand, I'll highlight the part that confuses me in BOLD in you quote. I asked @Not_Queen a question about reworking the healing mechanics and this is what it says.

@not_Queen Have the DbD team tried making a mechanic where in any instance you stop healing, you'll immediately lose 25% of your total healing progress and then normal regression happens afterwards? If they've not tried this idea, could this be a possible nerf to all healing actions instead of just Self Care? I really think this would help out with the Self Care meta and won't be as punishing as losing all of your progress when you have to stop for a brief moment :)

Saboteur: Unlocks the ability to sabotage without a Toolbox at 50% the normal sabotage speed. Increases Toolbox sabotage efficiency by 30/40/50%. Items damaged by Toolbox sabotages take 30/45/60 seconds longer to self-repair.

I like the idea, but I still think it's a little weak IMO.
Maybe this will help the perk just a little more...

Saboteur: Unlocks the ability to sabotage without a Toolbox at 50% the normal sabotage speed. Increases Toolbox sabotage efficiency by 30/40/50%. Items damaged by Toolbox sabotages take double than the normal time to self-repair.

Dead Hard: Removes the requirement of being injured.

Hmm, I see Dead Hard as a well balanced perk but if it even needs a buff due to the exhaustion nerf or other indirect nerfs... This would be acceptable!

No Mither: You suffer constantly from the “Beaten In” status effect, which has the same effect as Exposed but activates Perks triggered by being injured. While injured or dying, grunts of pain are reduced by 30/40/50% at any time. Grants the ability to fully recover from the Dying State. While recovering and staying still, your bleedout meter does not go down. If you survive the trial, you get a bonus 15/20/25 Iridescent Shards (thanks @Nickenzie)

    Déjà vu et du rien!
    (Already seen and your welcome!)

Vigil: You and all allies within an 8 meter range recover from all status effects 10/15/20% quicker. Players affected by Vigil recover from Exhaustion while running at 10/20/30% the normal recovery rate. TIER 3 ONLY: Your allies within an 8 meter range are granted immunity to the Exposed status effect.
-Vigil stacks are multiplicative, not additive.

Hmm, I like the idea and if I remember correctly... developers have said recovering exhaustion while running with Vigil is a interesting idea. They may add this but I'm not 100% sure!

Resilience: Increases ANY AND ALL action/prop interaction speeds by 5/7/10% while injured.

I love the idea, it will make you more faster during a chase such as vaulting and pallet dropping speeds! This may make Resilience a more viable perk other than a combo to NM!

    Overall great ideas @No_Mither_No_Problem!

Toxicity is a pillar of that game.
This game lives from abuse and shaming for the most part. And memes, alternatively.
    Doubt it's gonna happen.

It sucks that DbD does feed off of toxicity ATM. I just want DbD to become a better place for everyone.

"Why did you sabotage hooks? If he doesn't have hooks, we can't rescue people."

    Wow... lmao!
  • Badmanone said:

People will abuse it by put on a fake personality, so not the real nice person get endorsed only the one with the best (fake) attitude for others. Playing SWF is less rewarding and put you in a slight disadvantage. But that’s what the game made for. If you look to other games that already used such System far before overwatch you gonna find a lot other problem bonded to it. So you want to create a system that is not nessecary, just to create a lot more problems that devs have to fight instead of doing their job and balancing the real problems like DS? Ok...
Okay, thank you for being nice about it! Allow me to explain to you, if you could endorse your SWF then the system can be abused. Example: "Hey y'all, this time I'll receive all your endorsements! I only need 3 more until I reach level 5" "Okay, who are we going to boost next?" "Let's get our Nea to level 3 next!"
SWF can just focus on one person and give them false endorsements which isn't how the system was supposed to function. That's what abuse is @Badmanone

I'm not saying we absolutely need an endorsement system right now because there are bigger problems currently. However later down the line the DbD team will need something like this because this game is so toxic, this community is great don't get me wrong but there are just too much people who are willing to ruin others games.

Not everything will be perfect @Badmanone and that's why the developers have been changing the emblem system to help put it in a better place. The endorsement system will need to be changed and tweaked over time just like the emblem system to help put in line with everything else. However when the developers do perfect the endorsement system, it will be the best edition to DbD history IMO.

Faking personality isn't abuse, that's actually better than the person being toxic IMO. Read @Visionmaker post about that, he says it perfectly and explains why faking a personality is much better than the person being toxic.
  • Cetren said:
The problem is that people didn't do it before, and they're not going to do it after. I'm not even sure how you thought the overwatch endorsement system wasn't a mess lol.
The Overwatch endorsement system isn't a mess IMO, everyone at the end of the game gives out endorsements. I play a ton of Mercy and I get a lot of "Good Teammate" endorsements because no one in my team wants to play healer, it's boring for them. It's the same with nurse mains, they'll get a lot of "Good Killer" endorsements because nurse mains are usually the most skilled.
  • SovererignKing said:

Though we’re Nurse Mains on console Popoles. Some Survivor’s appreciate the variety that we actually put the time into play Nurse on console, so I wouldn’t count us out. Now on PC, yeah, Nurse Mains are going to get massive hate though.

I really like the idea though. It think it really would lower the toxicity levels. Never underestimate the capacity for human greed to overcome the need to be salty.
Basically this here as well, if people see how much rewards they get for being a better player then they'll likely sacrifice being toxic just to receive more stuff. Even if they fake their personality like @Badmanone said, that's still better than having someone trash talking you IMO and can make DbD a better place for everyone!

Additionally if everyone is complaining about people abusing it then you make a valid point but that's very unlikely. For example: It's like asking a stranger for money and he for some reason gives you money. Not everyone will just give you an endorsement, especially if you weren't acting civilized.

    1. think a Minute about it and imagine what will most likely happen

Game is over, just leave it, done. It’s your own fault if you always stay in lobby to catch such a ######### and then you come here into Forum to cry how bad these survivor are. I can’t hear this anymore. Harassment was always part of DbD and it will always be but theirs already a counter for it. JUST LEAVE and stop crying.
    3. Better watch your attitude
Number 1: Why aren't you telling me and @Master how this system can be abused? Go ahead, I dare you to and I'll shoot it down as fast as you post it.
Number 2: That's the point @Badmanone, why should I have to skip the end game lobby and put my profile on mute so no one doesn't give me hate mail? Doesn't that tell you how much toxicity is in this game? Additionally, I didn't...
    Badmanone said:

come here into the forums to cry how bad these survivors are.
I want you to re-read my OP and quote parts that talks about me whining about survivors being bad, good luck :+1:
    Badmanone said:

Also I think your the one crying about crying, so much irony in that statement! Can you stop acting so immature and have a civilized conversation please? I can't make changes to the endorsement system if all your going do is say it's bad and that's it. I need actual feedback and no hate mail... please?
Number 3: Attitude, you serious? I gave you an attitude because your being disrespectful towards me, not understanding how bad toxicity is in DbD, and your not taking this seriously!

Oh, if they are faking being nice to get endorsements then that completely fine as well! That's better than having people who'll trash talk you at the end game chat! Keep going and I'll keep shooting them down for you!

  • Badmanone said:
    1. it would be abused 2. we don’t Need it 3. just deal with it because it was always part of the game instead of trying manipulate ppl
Number 1: It can't abused because SWF can't endorse each other. If you know any other way to abuse it then tell me!
Number 2: I think something is wrong with you when you said that because it sounds to me you want DbD to become a more toxic environment, isn't what we wanna prevent as a community?
Number 3: Yeah @Badmanone I'll deal with the sexual/######### comments, death threats, cancer wishing on my family, and racist comments... Additionally it's not manipulating anyone, it's supposed to ENCOURAGE players to behave more civilized. Even after the endorsement update, there's literally nothing stopping you from being toxic but if you want more stuff then act more civilized.
  • ## Is... the biggest money-maker in game

    • mind games
    • top OP survivor perk
    • 2nd most used perk after Self-healing
    • you cannot get it for free by grinding shreds (cant buy Laurie)
    • you mosly will end up buying tired of waiting to have it on the Shrine

      • the best-selling perk of all time in DBD, now tell me that I am wrong with all this
Assuming this is a troll thread... I think DS needs to complete every generator when used by a single survivor. Additionally any other survivor after that uses DS will open the exit gates and rename every survivor to "EZPZ_DS_IS_BANLANCED". Additionally DS is renamed to "Not a Crutch Perk" to tell killer's to adapt and stop whining.
  • Master said:
Well in the ovewatch games iv  played since endorsing is a thing, I couldn't see any difference compared to before
I'm sorry to hear that, you probably got very unlucky and got the remaining toxic players which absolutely sucks. Endorsements doesn't completely remove toxicity, it's goal is to reduce the amount of toxicity in the game. I would like to see an option called "Avoid Player" (From Overwatch) which prevents you from going against or getting put with that player. You can only have 2 players avoided on your list at any one time because anymore could affect matchmaking to a point where it takes forever to find games. However nevertheless it's worth a try @Master and hopefully it will work in the long run!
  • DS would actually be countered with two killers! The first would pick up the survivor and wait for the successful DS skill check while the other killer waits for the survivor to get off the first killer's shoulder to instantly down the DS user again! :scream:
  • and why do we want voice comms in-game? So you don't even need SWF to have an ez match? That way you won't need Bond, Empathy or Kindred. So, that's a no to voice comms.

I'm going to let @RWoodrow answer your disrespectful questions and correct your assumptions on why I want comms.
    RWoodrow said:

Adding voice comms to the game gives the devs a foundation to balance the game off of versus trying to buff solo que survivors up to the SWF level and throwing the game further out of balance.
Basically this right here, he couldn't have said it any better! Since SWF and Solo Q have comms, the developers can have an easier time making balance changes and don't have worry about making one side too strong or too weak.

So now that we got that out of the way... what do you think about having endorsements @KillingInstinct?
  • RWoodrow said:
As a Doctor main I'm sure mine would be a poop emoji. lol
Doctors are kinda annoying to go against IMO but that's no reason for a survivor to have bad sportsmanship! If survivors are harassing you because you are playing doctor then don't endorse them! I won't endorse anyone who throws a fit about what killer I play because that's bad sportsmanship!
  • popoles said:
I don't know. I am a nurse main and I am sure they won't endorse me.
Actually you would get a ton of endorsements lol. You would get a lot of "Good killer" endorsements since you are a nurse main and usually nurse mains are the best at playing killer! :)
  • RWoodrow said:
I like the idea, but I don't see any killer making it to level 2. There's too many made up rules and it's asymmetrical.

Example -"The killer lost and handled it well but he/she camped (fill in the blank here) so I'm downvoting!"

Don't get me wrong, I know killers have their made up rules too, but numbers (3 up, 1 down because "they brought in a flashlight") give survivors hope of leveling up.

Again, I like the idea, just not sure it would work in an asymmetrical game.
Again, if survivors don't endorse you because you camped then don't endorse them. It will eventually show survivors that if they want to get endorsement rewards, they'll need to be accepting of the killer strategies and vice versa.
  • Not a bad idea, but I feel like rage would overcome players' lust for in game items.

Just don't endorse them! They'll eventually learn that raging won't earn them a endorsement which means no reward for them!
  • Peanits said:

Not just, they've been working on it for a while.

I would like to see endorsements added to DbD! Actually, I'm gonna make a thread about it soon so I'm going name every mods name that I can think of so you all can see it!
  • So, basically the OP but with recovery buff and extra Shards?

    Sounds fine to me.

Yup, I wanna see a way to farm iridescent shards consistently! Remember get the iridescent shards, you'll need to escape to get em!
  • I like to think of it as hardmode in video games. And in a lot of video games, turning on hardmode typically buffs the player or has some sort of real incentive. Extra BP is hardly an incentive for being constantly Exposed.

Turning on hardmode gives bigger incentives as their difficulty scales up. In Fallout New Vegas, for example, Hardcore mode isn’t exactly that hardcore. As such, the reward isn’t that big: Beat the game on hardcore mode for an achievement. In Expert mode Terraria, on the other hand, enemies are MUCH stronger, your health regen is greatly reduced, and some enemy spawn rules have been buffed in their favor. As such, you get great rewards: The money enemies drop on death is increased, as well as the variety and likelihood of good items, and Bosses drop much better loot not normally obtainable in Normal mode.

No Mither makes surviving significantly more difficult. As such, a significant incentive is in order.

Besides, does David really need two BP Perks?

I understand where you are coming from! However, the incentive needs to be somewhat great because you are literally handicapping yourself, I don't wanna get to rank 1 NM just for bragging rights... Wait would it be cool if NM gives you 25 iridescent shards if you escape? This is something different, no perk farms iridescent shards. I think this would be cool because... it actually gives you a way to earn iridescent shards if you have great skill. I'll use your idea to form a rework the "Hardcore" Perk with an actual incentive! :)

    No Mither:
Go on kid, it's just a scratch! You will constantly suffer from the exposed status effect, grunts of pain being reduced by 50%, you don't leave blood behind when injured or in dying state, and can recover an infinite amount of times while in dying state. The Entity feeds from your hope of escaping since you are unlikely to escape and will reward you 5/15/25 iridescent shards post-trial if you escape.
(If you are exposed, injured activated perks will be activated since you are in a dire situation)

What are your thoughts on this @No_Mither_No_Problem?
  • powerbats said:

I hit 1 this morning early am time without ever having DS equipped on any of my survivors i played. It's a crutch perk that is frankly worthless over the long run. Before the reset I never used it until rank 12 when I equipped it 6 times. The 1st 5x i forgot to use it and the 6th 3 pl rage quit on Thompson House when they realized it was a Freddy. I got to use it 1x tiem when he tried taking me to the basement I got to run about 10 seconds before he downed and hooked me.

I see DS as either being someone's crutch because they're not great at playing survivor OR just to waste the killer's time because they are good. Example: I'm decent at playing survivor, okay with mindgames, stealth, looping, and doing generators... Probably can run the killer for a two minutes. Now if I use DS, suddenly the killer wastes four minutes trying to get me again since it's two chases! DS gives way too much value for half decent survivors which is the problem IMO. The new rework will fix DS where it's not a time waster or a crutch perk for survivors, you now have to setup for the save which how it should've always been!
  • I kinda see where you’re coming from, but at the same time it is a challenge Perk. I don’t think it should be powerful. I think it should be usable.

Je parle suelement un peu du Français.

Hmm, I definitely agree with you! NM is supposed to be a challenge perk, but would it be okay with it having a BP bonus with it since you are challenging yourself?

D'accord, je vais terminer parle en Français! Merci beaucoup pour parler en Français avec moi!
  • I feel like that would be a little bit weird. No Mither’s big thing of “recover from Dying State” is more capitalized upon with my idea. Plus, how would bleedout regen work? Do you just suck your own blood back into your body?

    De rien, by the way.

I'm dying right now lmao, I can imagine a survivor drinking their own blood! Okay, basically your blood will coagulate and stop you from bleeding while in dying state when not moving, giving your body time to produce more blood? I know that's really far stretched, maybe you recover 1 minute of your bleed out timer every time you recover to the injured state? This will be recovering to the injured state, being healed by another survivor, and hooking will not count. Additionally I think NM should've increased recovery speed since you have the "Beaten in" status effect and Unbreakable has no down sides with it.

Edit: Comment allez-vous? (Wanna pratice my French with you if you don't mind lol)
  • I hope you're making a distinction between whining and legitimate complaints about the game, because if there's an issue that needs to be worked out, the community should voice it.

    And @Badmanone says...
    Badmanone said:

If just 1% of the whiners have legitimate complaints, than this game has to be completly broken. Its such an absurd amount of "complaints".

That's your opinion, not a fact. Everyone supposedly whined about Save The Best For Last needs to be token based and guess what, that made the perk more viable than ever! I think you remember the out cry when flashlights stunned the killer after the animation? Yeah let's not voice our opinion and let BVHR not hot fix flashlights! I think your being very delusional @Badmanone :-1:

I love her ambush attack, and even if the traps don't blow up Survivors, they're decent time wasters. I'm a big fan of stealth, so she really resonates with me.

Huge Pig fan here, she's one of my mains besides Huntress:
    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/10131/rework-for-amanda-pig#latest

I made a rework list for her since she's not in a great spot and made some ideas on how to make her a upper mid-tier killer!
  • Someone mentioned this before, and while this is true I have two points to bring up.

One, it gets rid of the major detail of the Killer knowing from the start that you’re equipped with NM. They won’t find out until they smack you. And since NM is a challenge Perk meant to be used by skilled players, if you’re NM’s target demographic that’s much less likely to happen.
Two, being downed from healthy can, reasonably often, be passed off as a number of Addons or Perks. I’ll try to compile a list of all the things that could trick a Killer into not knowing you have NM

    -Chainsaw hits
    -Evil Within 3
    -NOED
    -Devour Hope
-Being previously injured by a Bear Trap
    -Make Your Choice
    -Redhead’s Pinky Finger
    -Iridescent Head

Obviously some of these are more rare than others, but I think it’s nonetheless much better than being constantly injured.

Hmm, same idea that I had with the exposed idea but with the "Beaten in" status effect you can use perks that are only activated while now in the healthy state! I feel like injured only perks should activate if the player is 1-hit away from dying state (For example: The exposed status effect will make you a 1-hit down so if at any time you have this effect on you, injured perks will activate since your a 1-hit down) instead of activating when your in the injured state. The recovery effect with your idea is interesting however I have a better idea, just make it where you regenerate your bleed out timer when staying still so you can infinitely stay alive! Again, I like to hear your thoughts @No_Mither_No_Problem and we might be able to make the perfect rework of NM! Merci!
  • No, nothing of the sort.

So, when in the Dying state you have a 4 minute bleed-out timer. This timer is constantly ticking down and is only stopped when being healed by another Survivor. The buff I suggested makes it so that if you are recovering while not moving, the bleed-out timer does not tick down, similar to how the Borrowed Time tmer stops while you’re self-healing. Because with the way NM is now, it’s one strength, slugging, is whittled at by the fact that you can only recover an absolute maximum of 8 times without Unbreakable before you bleed out anyway.

The buff in question capitalizes on the full Dying recovery so that it’s a stronger counter to slugging. It’s a niche buff, but then again, so is No Mither.

Okay, now I understand! Your bleed out timer won't decrease if you are holding the recover key, so you can recover an infinite amount of times without worrying about bleeding out! Not a bad idea @No_Mither_No_Problem but if the killer 1-hit downs randomly... he'll know "wait I just instantly downed him from the healthy state, he probably has No Mither so I'm not going to let him stay on the floor". Nevertheless great idea! :)
  • There's no way around it. It's one good factor, the ability to recover from dying, is nullified by the Killer knowing from the start of the match that you have the Perk—why would they slug you when they know you can get back up? The Perk is only "good" when run with Perks that apply benefits to being injured, like Resilience and This Is Not Happening. But even then, it's just not worth the Killer knowing all game you have the Perk. I suggest a few simple buffs to balance it out.

Here's the rework I have in mind:

-You constantly suffer from the "Beaten In" status effect. Beaten In has the same effect as Exposed (can be sent into the dying state while healthy) with the added effect of activating Perks that are otherwise only active while injured.
-While injured, grunts of pain are reduced by 0/25/50% and you don't leave pools of blood.
-Grants the ability to fully recover from the dying state.
-Your bleed-out meter does not go down while recovering and staying still (i.e. recovering while moving with Tenacity still makes you bleed out).

The only thing I'm uncertain about is stopping the bleed-out timer. Other than that, these are the changes I want to see. You can still get the benefits of No Mither's injuring effects, but if you heal yourself to healthy, you can be a tad stealthier—and most importantly, you don't start off the game screaming at the Killer to tunnel and hook you since it won't be shown in the status bar.

So, I'm confused @No_Mither_No_Problem is it like a permanent BT status effect on you while having the exposed status effect on you as well? Like instead of going into dying state you'll have a X second bleed-out timer?
  • I appreciate what you’re going for but this literally takes away the strengths that No Mither has. Replacing the constantly-injured effect with constantly-Exposed is more a nerf than a buff because it removes the synergy that NM has with Perks that activate while injured, such as DH and Resilience.

Not to mention, if you’re Exposed, you can still be injured after being healed from Dying. So in that state, it’s just No Mither but worse, since you’re suggesting we replace the reduced noise, lack of blood pools, and Dying recovery with this one BP stack bonus.

Besides, why run a Perk like that for extra BP when you can, you know, equip an Escape Cake?

Thank you for the kind feedback @No_Mither_No_Problem (I like your clichè username), allow me to explain! :) My goal was to remove the downsides that NM has like not being able to remove your grunt noises completely, now you can do that by healing to the healthy state! Additionally since you start the trial exposed but healthy, the killer may not know you have NM which was a downside to using it last time! Yes, you made valid points to my reworked NM by saying it doesn't have a lot of synergy with other injured activated perks but I make up that loss with the bonus BP if you survive. Yeah, you can use a escape cake but I think you looked at it incorrectly... eventually you'll run out of escape cakes despite being an uncommon offering. Also you can combine BP bonuses like a escape cake, WGLF, and NM together to earn a massive BP bonus! Imagine getting with a perfect 32k game 128k BP with using an escape cake, NM (If you survive the trial), and WGLF!

Nobody is saying the timing is too hard to hit. Your "One Mississippi, two Mississippi" thing works just fine. The issue is being able to physically run around to the other side of the killer when they just turn around and pick up the surv, etc. You don't have enough time to really get into position if the killer is even mildly aware of his surroundings.

That's why you supposed to hide then wait until the killer begins to pick up the survivor! Remember as long your there before you reached the end of "two Mississippi" in your head then your still able to blind the killer and get the save. I don't use a lot of flashlights but I'll use Dead Hard to get you there faster if your injured, SB to the killer, or just make sure your close to him in the ffirst place! The only thing I disagree with is the awkward fast animation which looks kinda silly! Additionally I think 3 seconds is fair since you can get blinded even when you didn't see the survivor in your LoS!
  • No they are not. Not unless the killer has just started playing the game or is brain dead.

Have you seen my earlier post? I'll quote my post and let you see why I think the animation time is a nerf to killers in my opinion! :)

I find it more of a nerf for the killer because flashlight timings are easier! At the very beginning of the pick-up, you just count "One Mississippi, two Mississippi" then fire your beam of doom! In other words if you had a stop watch then you and the stopwatch starts counting to 10 (Without you looking at the stopwatch), you'll likely be 1 to a half of a second off from the stopwatch. Now if you do the same thing with counting to 3 seconds you'll probably be closer to the stopwatch time because there wasn't enough time for you to get off the stopwatch's timer. It's the same reason how you can still save people with Lightborn, just aim your flashlight as SOON as possible at the killer's eyes, again your counting to 0 but since you already at 0... you get a perfect save every time.

i Really think dead hard is the most trash exhausting perk on high ranks... like people who uses dead hard are funny you can use it only once but then killers won’t fall for it unless you try to reach to windows or pallets
and after this nerf if became worse

(IM ONLY WANT TO HEAR YOUR OPINIONS I DONT ASK FOR ANYTHING I DONT CARE EVEN IF  devs NERF ALL THE SURVIVOR PERKS)
Dead Hard is a skilled perk, it's like the survivors' version of the nurse because you have to know when to use it without any error!

Example: Let's say you won't make the pallet in time, Dead Hard to it then throw it down because most killers will just swing thinking they won the chase.

Another Example: Bad at mindgames? Dead Hard can fix that by covering up your incorrect guesses! Let's say you was at a "Unsafe Pallet" AKA a mindgame pallet... You predicted incorrectly and the killer is about to swing at you! Nope Dead Hard covers up your incorrect guess and you get another chance to mind game or run to the next pallet loop!
  • Since everyone gets to see who's the obsession, when you're playing Solo, the claws on the Obsession will shake when he's being chase so you will know perfectly that you are safe in doing Gens

This is a massive buff for all Solo Players, a good move from the Devs's part, and yet no one is appreciating this buff sadly...

I absolutely love it, just too lazy to make a actual post on it lmao! Now I won't get farmed when I have "Dying Light" on me and then mori'ed after getting farmed! :) I rate 10/10!

Dude I sent a video to the devs and everything to help out I don’t get why he’s hating on me so much he’s literally just trolling at this point if I wanted it exploited I would’ve left how to do it up.
It's okay @lyric, I don't think your actually trying to show others how to use this glitch. Besides, if you were then @Patricia would've done something about it already. Your all cool, I'm just explaining how sometimes they are trying to help make the game better when it doesn't look like it in his perspective. :D
  • Even with the nerf to the Huntress machine gun build, her hatchets are still fast. I'm gonna be honest, I thought the machine gun build was gonna be ruined however that's not the case, just slight slower.

Every self-righteous idiot likes to claim that they're "just trying to help" while they make things worse. They also refuse to listen to how badly they're screwing up.

I'm not saying he's trying to help because there's the possibility that he could be sabotaging our games since more immature players will use this glitch now. However reporting glitches helps the DBD team know, fix, and remove the glitch completely! If his intentions was to show more people how to do it so more games will be ruined then yes I 100% agree with you @Orion :+1: However as @Patricia stated "They're looking into this issue" so he won't be able to do this for long anyways since they are trying to fix the glitch.
  • Orion said:

Pisses me off when self-righteous idiots do this. It just makes the game worse for everyone.

Maybe he's actually trying to help @Orion :( Don't assume, remember "assumptions are the beginning of all f*** ups". I'm really glad that the mods are looking into this issue and may fix it!
