To be fair you can't expect every system to be completely reworked to make it easier on new players/people who don't have time, what about everyone that did grind for those perks or played long enough to get their perk in the shrine? They would feel forked over
You really think people would be against a good and healthy change for the game because they had to deal with the ######### grind?

I've had 100% of his body in my line of sight in the open too and nothing. I mean its def wonky on both sides but when I play against ghostface, I often come across many times where I can't expose him even out in the open looking dead at him. Yet it's no problem for him to stalk me just fine.
Ghostface's(and Myer's) stalk is more lenient than the reveal mechanic. You could pretty much be anywhere on the screen. You just need a certain amount showning to be stalked by them.
Ghostface requires you to have a certain amount of him showing in a certain area on the screen(towards the center) in a certain distance(that is modified by addons).
Dude could just be running distance reduction addon and you aren't realizing it.
-
People don't want to actually try to play the game
-
Since I've started, I think it's 4. All survivors. The usual no clip super speed instaheal hacker.
-
Yeah record and report.
-
This is a bug that came with the blight. It's crazy how they haven't fixed them yet.
-
It happens.
Had a match against 4 man SWF with a streamer. Rewatched the vod and the first survivor I chased immediately called out the totem when we ran past it and it was cleansed just as I hooked her.
I still killed them all but it really sucks when your totem is out in the open and the SWF can talk to each other to destroy them.

I see nothing alienating about this video. At all. First of all, it isn't targeting any part of the community.
He is saying if you find Killer stressful, try Survivor. If you still can't handle it, take a break from the game. This is healthy advice for ANY activity you partake in. This video is not the smoking gun you think it is.
That's not answering the viewer's question though.
The viewer is concerned that overall changes to the game has made Killer from being fun to being a stressful role. This isn't an issue of burning out but one of the game's mechanics having changed.

I'm not taking the time to find out how to stream and doing all that work to prove to some stranger that I can get 3 to 4 kills with Legion and Pig, lol. I do not care if you don't believe what I'm saying.
Streaming is super easy.
Literally just make a twitch or youtube account if you haven't already.
If on PC, get OBS. If on console, use the console's broadcasting capabilities.
"not taking the time to find out". The only time consuming thing would be setting up cams, overlays, audio, etc. which is not pertinent to the discussion so can be ignored.

68% is closer to 75.
If they were getting 2 kills on average the percentage would be closer to 50.
Why does it matter what circumstances caused the survivor to die???
In black and white it pretty much means that survivors on average will go into matches to die and killers will most of the time walk away with a 3k.
You play survivor right?
You see survivors constantly dc/suicide for the stupidest #########?
-
Imagine the queue times.

Don't you see something wrong with that though??
I am not a good killer...average at best but i always get a 4k.
I am a good survivor (you don't have to believe me), but i lose the majority of my games.
I kid you not i have seen in red rank
- Survivor gets hooked
- Survivor clearly being camped & tunnelled by the killer but getting unhooked by team mates without BT & then not even taking a hit for him/her
- Survivor dies and killer repeats the exact damn thing with a 2nd survivor
Maybe this will be solved with MMR and there is also a desperate need for voice chat so survivors can co-ordinate.
Doesn't really make sense that on one end you have a fully co-ordinated 4 man SWF making killers cry and on the other end the exact opposite. Balance pleaseeeeeeeeeeee
All this points to you(no offense) and survivors in general being stupid.
You're a good survivor but your teammates are stupid? The survivors against your "not a good" killer are even worse than your teammates when playing survivor.
The problem with the game is that most survivor players are casual as #########. And red rank is flooded with them. They have no idea what they're doing.
Earlier, I played against a red rank who had no idea what was happening as I was killing the rest of her team as infinite tombstone Myers.
Then I played against a 3 man red rank SWF. I managed to get 5 stacks on Huntress Lullaby and the dude and his team could not for the life of them figure out why they weren't hearing the skill check pings.
And the third streamer of the day I faced, a 4 man SWF. One of them couldn't figure out why they couldn't vault windows for awhile(I was doc). The streamer kept accusing me of tunneling despite him running into me again and again. Literally. I hook him, I go to his left where 3 gens are to see if they're being worked on. He gets unhooked and the dude runs DIRECTLY IN THE SAME DIRECTION I WENT, and I down him. Then he starts crying about being tunneled.
Of course, I've also faced against some sweat squads that made me want to kill myself today. One team actually let the random console player on their team to die... cause I injured them all and they all proceed to heal all one another in a corner as the poor console Yui died. These weren't bad survivors at all. They looped me to hell and back but they had no ######### sympanthy for the survivor not on their team. They took forever to do gens too. Not because I was applying pressure or anything. But because they spent 20 minutes just trying to bully me instead of end the game.
-
Just the way it do done be my man.
For me, most of the day, survivor queues are 3-5 minutes and Killer 30s-1 minute. At night, survivor queues because 5-10 minute, and killer 10-30 seconds.
If I'm in a SWF, it becomes 3x worse.

Well at least you’re not trying to sell it’s useless except for the BP. A good team can beat a camper, gen gen gen. Ok so one maybe becomes the sacrificial lamb, can realistically get 3+ gens while someone is camped especially if the other 3 are roving from gen to gen. Not buying it’s only good for the BP, gee you can see where all the other survivors are just by hooking someone. Hmm yeah umm useless, riiiiight.
There's a number of counters to BBQ. Easy counters.
Locker. Count to 4. Come back out.
Hide behind gen. See where the survivor got downed? Move around to put the gen between yourself and the survivor.
No locker nearby? Walk in a direction. Count to 4. Move the other direction.
You're close enough to not be detected by BBQ? You're already countering it.
BBQ first and foremost, is a good perk because it gives BP. People who don't care about BP anymore almost often use any of the other tracking perks.
Tremors, discordance, surveillance, nurse's, etc. are all much better tracking perks.
Personally, when I started DBD. I got BBQ for its BP. Used it on every killer every match, because of BP. Now that I've got my mains leveled up with perks I want, I'm not using BBQ on a single one of them. It's not useless but it sure as hell isn't as good as many of the other tracking perks you can take instead.

Keys are fine. How many matches do survivors open the hatch with a key? 1 out of 50, 100, 200 matches. I don’t see keys very often in chests or BW certainly don’t see the 2 that can open the hatch. Interesting how no one has really commented on actually finding the hatch.
There are set locations that hatches can spawn.
There are offerings that increases the chances of hatch spawning in certain locations.
Bring Plunderer's. You're almost guaranteed to find at least 1 purple/red key. Whenever I'm doing key/hatch challenges, I bring Plunderer's. Finish the challenge. Then put it away.
How many survivors open hatches with keys? Only BHVR knows.
If you're in a two man+ one person brings key, other brings map. This is the most common setup I see. If I don't bring Franklin's to burn items, survivors almost always escape when the hatch spawns.
The other day I ran Franklin's on Wraith all day. Almost every match had a survivor with a key.
Keys as an aura-reading mechanic is great. Keys as an early easy escape? The worse ######### ever.
-
This guy thinks Ghostface is OP.
-
You only survive 5% of the time? I gotta see you play.
-
Probably a hardware issue. Make sure your CPU temps are good.
-
Patrol gens anyways. If there's a gen that's been worked on and lockers nearby. Check them lockers.

Welcome to dbd

Problem is having stuff at the top of the screen. That's where you're going to be looking to to spot things in your peripheral. With things cluttered around the top it kinda detracts away from the game. Having everyone at the bottom like the old UI is good because that's where you're not going to be looking to spot the killer/survivors/obstacles. Your character is already there and it's a small amount of space that you won't need to account for.
Also by having everything scattered about the screen, you also have to constantly move your eyes around. Instead of a quick glance to the bottom of the screen for information, you have to look up to see who's injured/being chased/etc. Look down to the left to see your items. Look to the right to check ability cooldowns. See what statuses are happening top right. All the while having to constantly look out for the killer while obscured by this ######### all around the screen.
-
New clown lost his exhaustion addons right?
-
He's still an M1 Killer with no map pressure.
He needs his ability cooldown reduced to 20 plus an overhaul to his add-ons.
-
I've been spending millions of BP on my Myers to get him 4 specific perks.
I have one of those perks at tier 2, 2 on tier 1, and I don't have the 4th perk at all.
I do have like 20 other tier 3 perks but they're not the ones I want. The grind continues.
-
Kindred and We'll Make It.
Kindred because teammates don't use it at all.
-They sit around doing nothing while you're on hook.
-They all hookbomb at the same time instead of 2 working on gens/1 on gen and one chased and one unhooking.
-They all come around to crouch around the hook when the Killer is camping. You end up dying someone probably ends up immediately hooked afterwards and they've made 0 progress on gens.
-They don't save you. One guy is running around being chased by the killer and the other two sit on gens while you die on the hook.
We'll Make It because so many of my teammates wave me off so they can self-care. I save them, try to heal them. They keep cancelling the heal and run into a corner. I try to heal them there and they keep cancelling the heal and point me away. I start walking away and they start to self-care. Happened way too much and I just stopped bringing it.

Last night was playing with my bros.
In the span of around 2 hours we played 3 games. These were fairly quick games.
Had a green Spirit who 2K'd us. Would've been 1K but the random claudette gave them a pity kill. One of my brothers got tunneled out in a couple minutes while the rest of us burned through the gens to get out.
2nd match had a purple doctor who quickly 4Kd us with our random suiciding.
3rd match we had a poor rank 19 one perk noob hag. She 0Kd and got stomped pretty hard.
Most of that two hours was filled with us waiting in the lobby sharing vids or talking about whatever.
-
Should've hooked that last person
-
Had a match yesterday where one gen left was needed to be done.
I managed to get the killer to literally chase me around for 10 minutes(I kept track and another survivor was watching too) and the final get did not get ######### done.
When the Bubba finally caught me I killed myself and the other survivor immediately jumps into the hatch.
According to one of the dead survivors who was spectating, dude was hiding in the basement for 10 minutes. Waiting for me to die for 10 ######### minutes. He could've done the last gen multiple times over but dude sat in the basement for TEN MINUTES just so he could escape by hatch.
I ######### sweated my ass off in that game. Literally. I could feel the sweats on me when the match ended.
Stopped playing for the day right there.
-
Shouldn't spend money anyways after they put the halloween cosmetics on 80% sale two days after release with no notice and then not compensate the people who already paid in full.
-
They also have no idea of the horrifying scope of the grind in this game.

Why should I care if my team wins or loses when I'm not even able to play myself? Their win is not my win, I get nothing for it.
It's a team game. You should always have your team in mind.
That Meg on death hook who just ran into the killer while you haven't been hooked yet? Go get in that killer's face and take the heat off her.
Just unhooked someone and the Killer's on the way back? Grab the killer's attention so the unhooked can get away.
The last two survivors know where the hatch is but can't get the last gens done? I can't count how many times I've gone out just to die as far from the hatch so my random teammate can hatch out.
Any survivor winning is a win for me imo.
-
Do good for the team.
You might lose but the team wins and Killer loses. It's okay. Take the loss/win for the team and move on
-
Kindred is the only essential one.
As long as you learn to do gens efficiently(don't 3gen, knowing when to do a gen instead of heal/save people/etc.) and do well in chases, you will escape and rank up. Don't even need DLC perks.
I can escape around 60-70% of my games at red rank with a build like Kindred/Small Game/Spine Chill/+Iron will or something.

It's not hard. Bloodpoints takes no negative hits. Pipping takes negative hits. As long as you keep taking those negatives

Look you've got a point. I do think they are making some things harder for newer players but A) it's often for good reason and B) they are making things easier simultaniously. Look how much easier bubba and doctor are for new players to begin with now, great first picks and killers I would reccomend starting out on.
Also if you weren't around before the billy rework then you never would have experienced billy without a cooldown so technically you wouldn't know any different, even tho it does suck.

Not sure if bait but that'd be a bit much maybe?
Why would it be a bit much? And it fits into exactly why Wraith and Nurse can be lightburned.
With this weakness Spirit's can choose whether to risk using their power in the open or strategically using it when out of LoS. Also gives Survs a choice to keep running or try to burn her.
Also they'd have to guess where she is to burn her while she's phase shifted.
Also the pallet mind game can be played around if the surv has a flashlight. Flashlight does nothing to the spirit? She's probably phase shifting. You hit the blind/burn on her? There she is.
-
Make it so that Survs can lightburn her.
-
It's supposed to do that.

just wait a few days i also won a lot of games and you know why?
because survivors don't know when they can crush victor, without his recovery addons he can be crushed from any distance from a survivor if you miss a pounce let alone if you miss while pouncing at them from a distance. if they also keep up with being healed victor becomes very underwhelming especially if they don't take him off.
Literally the only games i won was because the survivors were not used to this killer, a few notable survivors that destroyed me almost always crushed victor on a missed pounce and didn't take victor off i had to either down them or recall victor. they also were really good at being unpredictable and used objects/LOS breakers to prevent getting hit by victor.
your not winning against these teams. You know it, i know it.
edit: also they used lockers, do i need to say more?
Yeah the biggest strength I've been seeing is just that people aren't used to her yet.
Had a game where me and an injured Meg were comitting to a gen as a Viktor came up to us. I get downed by Viktor and the meg...
She stayed on the gen to try to finish it off. She could've moved then crushed Viktor and then finish off the gen but... she stays on and then gets downed by Viktor as well. and a few moments later, Charlotte comes over to kick the gen and hook us.
Facepalmed so hard.
Still was only a 1k for the killer. They managed to camp out one of the guys in the basement. You know the usual twins camp strat.
Hook in basement -> Bring out Viktor near the basement -> If someone unhooks, switch back to the Charlotte to catch them
Also took a screenshot of the moment of the double Viktor down because Meg's braids were bugging out.
-
You're talking about Vic getting crushed right? lol
