I mean in all seriousness a good survivor team can completely deny an oni of his power for a super long time. Slinger has insanely good chase, but his map pressure is so terrible that the great chase is all he really has.
Not to mention his great chase is hampered by tons of time wasting mechanics with reeling in, chain break stuns, reloads.

Rarely.

It takes over 4 million BP to get 3 characters to level 50. Unless everyone was burning BPS/cakes every match or you had dailies/challenges saved up that's literally not possible to get in a few hours.
Yeah there's no way this dude leveled up 3 characters to 50+ in a few hours.
Not to mention leveling up to 50 itself barely gives you usable perks unless you're super lucky.
-
Pretty much only Doc took it for impossible skillcheck builds now NOBODY will take it.
-
He's okay. My favorite Killer but...
Low map pressure.
Spinechill is semi-popular right now.
Aware survivors will keep you out of stealth and from stalking them.
Getting the jump on survs is super fun though.
-
Record some vids cause you could just be looping poorly.

It would also be interesting if we look at Dowsey's tier list, where he places PH similarly to Otz but also states he's S tier in a sweaty tournament setting, which he's also shown a bunch in practise, too.
It's funny because Pyramid Head got absolutely trashed in Hexy's Tournament.
-
I never bring any items or meta perks. Game's a lot more fun.

I don't think that that tactic works, unless the Devs have done their usual misdirection. It used to be a huge problem, til (thankfully) they changed matchmaking to only take into account the team member with the highest rank and apply it across all teammates. However, this coincided with the killer exodus and flood of new survivors and helped create the old 20 minute wait times, so they basically fixed that issue by having the matchmaking algorithm rapidly disable itself.
Nah, I definitely get low rank killers more regularly when I queue up with my brother who doesn't play as much. MM definitely takes into account the lower rank people in your SWF as well.
-
Sounds like you just need to git gud.

Guys do you not realize it was NOT a survivor vs. killer torunament? It was a team vs. team tournament. So the rules applied to BOTH teams, even if it favored survivors it won't matter because it affected the other side as well when they played survivor so it was a fair match.
And if for example only kills counter and not the point system killer would just hardcamp to get kills and stuff which would be boring.
It was great how it was.
Problem is that if you go first and do okay as Killer, you can all literally just die on first hook and deny like 8 points for the enemy team. That's where it's really broken and then you pile it on top of allt he survivor biased rules.
-
Is it a mistake though? Sometimes I'll just wander in the open when the survivors are being real immersive so they can reveal me and also their location.
Also, like others have mentioned, when revealed he's just an M1 killer. No powers at all. Get to loopin if you're going to reveal him otherwise, let him pass.
-
I've only ever ran into 1 PC cheater(that I was aware of). A survivor who was noclipping through terrain and #########. I just turned on my recording, followed him around, and then reported and submitted the evidence in after they all got out.

but like, it would need to be blocked during any ranked game because SWF exists.

Stream sniping is one thing...
ppl could use a spectator feature to next level cheat against both sides.
still a cool feature tho
Siege's spectator mode is only available through Custom modes. Just like how you can have spectators in DbD's KYF. Keep this spectator mode in-house in custom mode for things like if people want to hold their own tournaments and #########. The current spectator mode where you switch between your allies would stay as it currently is in normal games.
-
Windows and Cluttered areas.
Play the windows to your advantage and force him to M1 you instead of chainsaw. If he starts chainsawing, lead him through cluttered areas and sharp turns so that he'll bump into #########.
-
This only works with survivors dumb enough to go into that room.
-
Azame's argument is all based on the fact that the survivors will be terrible and the killer is good. Disregarding the good survivors vs good killer situation. What good are comms when the survivors are winning/on even ground with the killer?
Like, what good is a med kit if all the killers are infected by the plague? Well, med kits are actually very good, just not in that situation.

An easy solution would be the one Blizzard used in Heroes of the Storm to deal with a similar issue regarding premades vs randoms.
Basically, for every player in your group/party queuing together, your MMR is temporarily inflated.
This means that to counter the increased coordination, you will be paired with a higher skilled killer.
That seems amazingly fair.
That'd require BHVR to have a not broken matchmaking first.

Don't both teams get a chance to play each side? Isn't it balanced in that case?
No because it causes things like if you're up ahead, you can literally just ######### on hook to deny points for the other team.
-
The worst is when someone's infected on hook and someone goes to cleanse and then races another infected survivor to get the unhook just to get sick again.
-
Scoring was stupid. Survivor sided.
Rules were survivor sided.
Watching the matches, it just looked miserable playing as the killer.
-
The devs refuse to admit there's a problem with SWF despite most of the community saying so because if they do, they'd have to do something to fix it.
Certain perks like OoO just become completely broken with SWF. Other perks just become obsolete because with comms you won't need things like empathy, bond, kindred, etc. since all that information can be passed. Things like blind, knockout, etc. are completely useless too with comms. The game wasn't made with comms in mind it's a bit silly the devs have not addressed it properly since adding SWF so long ago. Especially since it breaks so many mechanics of the game in favor of one side.
-
Most survivors just aren't good and/or don't play with other people.
Solo can be a ######### fest when the 4 aren't very good but even non-SWF, 4 competent solos will give Killers hell. SWF is just a whole other thing.

Are you hook bombing for unsafe unhooks?

Unsafe hooks aren't rewarded though.... you lose points toward your emblem for it...
You think they care about the emblems? These guys are just doing it for that sweet 1000 bp.

Yes

Ok I seen this argument plenty of time... but honestly why should they care about some strangers on the internet and their game? They still can get bloodpoints, they can still pip. The emblem system is so broken and its so easy to "win" without escaping anyway. Just do a gen, cleanse some totems and go for 1 or 2 unhooks. If people dont enjoy themself then they should be free to leave. In the end of the day we all play to have fun and enjoy ourself but is it worth pushing out a game if you do neither of those?
Before you whine that I am some survivor main that DCs on first down then you are wrong, personally I never DCs cause I like my points and trying to hard grind the rift challenges if I DC it will just cost me everything + time.
This is a team game. It's alright if you want to DC if you're in a game by yourself but you're on a team of 4. If you don't give a ######### about the other people on the team, why the ######### are you playing a team game? Why queue up and put the trust of others onto you if you're just gonna DC at the slightest bit of difficulty?
Oh, is it that these people want easy game? They don't want to be the first person hooked? They don't even want to try against certain killers? What ######### babies.
Oh this football match I'm in? Lol I missed this pass ######### it I'm out ######### these other guys on the team, they're on their own in an unfair match against the other guys now. Even though I told them I'd play with them and that the game isn't gonna work without me there too, ######### them.

Tru3 also, has verbatim says, that he HONESTLY believes all he faces are "tournament level squads" in DBD.
I wouldn't take him too seriously.
Where has he said this?
-
Getting good at the game.
-
You... should already be tracking this stuff?
-
Insurance. If he's unable to reach infinite tier 3 before all 5 gens are done, he now has NOED there to back him up.
Also, speed boost.
-
There should always be complaints. How will the game improve without complaints? How will the devs know something's wrong without complaints?
Just because things are getting better people should stop complaining? How stupid is that? It's like telling someone who's making $2 an hour to stop complaining because they're making $2.10 now.
Also you can't buy licensed characters with shards.
-
Only thing that needs to change with Ghostface is reduce is base CD to like 20 and lower the numbers on chewed pen and address book in turn.
This way people will actually be tempted to use his other addons.

It was being filled with spam/bumps/trash. Yeah optimization is a problem but pages upon pages of spam(and hate) to keep the thread up is not the way to go about fixing it.

DBD doesn't run well on PlayStation 4, the mods deleted a post which amassed over 1k comments with complaints about poor performance on consoles.
It was deleted for good reasons.

Players shouldn't be punished for playing with their friends.
It's a tough thing trying to balance for SWF when the game wasn't balanced for it in the first place. How can you buff solo without buffing SWF or punishing SWF and weakening Killers in the process?
-
Yeah as an impossible skill checks doc player, destroying lullaby pretty much cripples this build.
Overcharge isn't affected by other skill check stuff so its the same skill check every time.
Pretty much once you take out lullaby, you should be able to hit every skill check if you're a decent player.

Welcome to DbD where MM is borked to hell, and there are zero low ranks in existence because ranking as survivor is as easy as holding M1!
Seriously though, it's stupidly easy to rank as survivor so you'll most likely face unfair ranks even at lower ranks as killer. They tried to add Skill-based matchmaking recently, but that borked harder and ended up matching newbies to god skill players. So right now, this is kinda the MM we deal with every day.
Funny because it seems the lobbies were flooded with noobs when they implemented MMR but now that it's off again, they've all disappeared and low rank killers are being bashed in by high rank survivors again.
-
Yeah that proximity penalty is only 5 points. The bigger problem was your chases were too quick.
-
I think it'll see decent usage but not be meta.
Is it really worth it to sacrafice another hex slot to defend another hex perk? That's up to the killer at hand to decide.
-
Yeah. I can easily do gens/loop/escape as survivor without perks but ######### me if I'm even trying to play a perkless/base perks killer.

I’ve gotten 25k BP in a match and gotten Entity Displeased.
BP has nothing to do with pipping as your emblem points can fluctuate up and down depending on how you are playing.

Hide in a locker.
Don't hide in a locker right next to a gen that'd just been worked on if he's coming your way.
-
Back when I did my 100 games stats as red rank solo survivor, I only got hit by NOED like twice. Ran small game. Did totems every game. Survived like 70% of my games.
NOED is literally not a problem even for solo survivor if you're not playing stupid.
-
The globe thing might be a bug. I had a globe next to my name once even though I'm PC.
Or maybe ticking off crossplay doesn't exempt you from playing with the Windows gamers.

If that were the case I am sure Otz would have never got 50 wins in a row with Legion and Hag. I hate to say this and I am saying this as a killer main...get good!
Not really wins in a row though. He picked a different Killer every game which incredibly lessens his chances of a win streak being broken by a stronger team. He WAS doing pretty good with Oni too but last I saw he was struggling hard to get any good streaks going.
If he played 50 games of Legion or Hag straight and "won" every game then that'd be more impressive but as we've seen, he's getting blown out in some games so that 50 streak just won't happen.
-
Remember all killers have the same hit range. Freddy is small and has his claws which makes it deceptive whereas other killers usually have bigger weapons.

Deathbound on legion is really, really bad. I tried it because I thought it would be amazing because they are healing all the time but I discovered oblivious survivors don't get revealed by the killer instinct.
