  • I'd like it better if they weren't so boring

  • Negatives

    -Lacks map pressure

    -Non-lethal powers

-Punished pretty well for missing his power or the survivor just not taking the window/pallet/etc.

-Even if he hits his power, he still has to go through a normal chase to get into position to hit his power. Good survivors will loop you long enough at a loop until you're close enough to shock and land the hit and will just break off the loop when you go for the shock and lose distance or just keep looping if you miss/they dodge it.,

-Good survivors won't be missing those skill checks

-Good survivors know when to deny his Blast or just not care about it because they can loop if he comes to them

-He pretty much just punishes bad players(stealthing around the map, can't loop, pallet camp, can't hit skill checks, etc.) and is easily overcome by good players

    Positives

-He stomps the ######### out of noobs

  • Billy's still strong. People would rather just play other killers now, especially since his stronger addons got removed.

Dunno how else I could prove it to you, because it would take like a million screenshots to post it here.

    Just make a video.

It is decent at best, it only works when a generator is below halfway so it's meh. I think it should build-up exhaustion under halfway and always pause exhaustion after halfway.

If you want to get better use out of it, try playing huntress with the venomous concoction addon.

It got buffed a few patches back. The less than 50% thing got removed and the duration got buffed to 3/4/5.

Like mentioned, it's mostly good on stealth or high mobility killers who can immediately jump on a survivor on a gen.

  • Totem counter takes away from the horror of the game.

  • People who hide and wait for their teammates to die are the worst.

Had a game where it was 1 gen left and only me and another survivor left. The gen I was on was close to finishing but the bubba came and chased me off to kick it. We play chase and tap/kick the gen for at least 10 minutes. I eventually lose him as he patrols around my gen, I go to check out the two gens across the map from me.

0 ######### progress on both of them. I get caught out in a dead zone for my troubles and proceed to get hooked. I see my teammate crouched in the basement before I let go and kill myself and he escapes through hatch immediately after.

Apparently, according to the other two survs who were dead and spectators, the other surv just hid in the basement that entire 10+ minutes because he had found the hatch.

  • It's weird there are people seeing NOED in every game but I never see that ######### and when the Killer does bring it, I've already cleansed all the bones.

Back when I kept stats of my games, it only appeared 18% of the time(compared to BBQ's whopping 59%) and only managed to activate twice.

I do myself bring Small Game and work to cleanse every totem on the map. Explains probably why NOED its such a minor annoyance to me.

And yes, I still escape(61% of the time) despite all the suicides and DCs.

  • Game is grasping for Killers to play against Survivors.

  • I find myself tunneling Janes more.

  • BP and pipping isn't tied together at all.

  • Another korean pop star character for video games.

  • Gonna need more than a week extension for the mess so far.

Yes tell me the counter play to where I ran a deathslinger around for 5 gens, literally start of the match I get chased in the first 10 seconds, run him the entire time without even getting a single hit. 5th gen pops and I get downed from his 4% speed boost one shotted. What’s my counter play to that?

The team doing bones. The team clearing the bone in endgame and saving you. Easy.

We already have spirit, so I doubt it

I mean, we already have Billy, Legion, Trapper(if Jason ever comes over). Still got Leatherface and Ghostface.

  • It's okay. They'll give us 50,000 BP tomorrow to compensate.

  • Looks like the servers just booted everyone and then gave them dc timers. lol

  • They probably weren't in T3 at all.

  • My perks for doc.

    Distressing - Big TR

Huntress Lullaby - Further ######### with surv skill checks

Unnerving - More skill checks #########

    PGTW - gen regression

  • What a bunch of wankers

  • It's pretty stupid. Seems like it's there to help you try to get to max hooks but not knowing how many times someone's been hooked could end up with you not getting all 12 because the last survivor to die, died on first hook.

It's basically saying "hey this is the current score and if the numbers don't add up, you've ######### up".

  • Better yet, everyone just get gud

  • @TAG said:

How about this: 30 second cooldown if you stop mid-sabotage for any reason; full 60 second cooldown if you successfully sabotage?

The worst is when you try to heal someone you just unhooked but they move and you start sabotaging the hook they just got pulled off from.

    😥

  • imagine the hour long survivor queues.

  • Randomly getting pallet stunned is the scariest thing in the game.

  • Addons - One of the clappers + a Windstorm

    Perks

-Nurse's - Sneak on dem healing survs

-Sloppy - Slow down that healing

    -Gen slowdown, Ruin/Pop/etc.

-Whatever else you want here for the 4th perk. Another gen defense perk? Tracking like BBQ/Thrilling/Discordance/etc.?

  • If you miss the shred, you can misplace yourself terribly to continue the chase.

He has to take time setting up his portals. Even if you set up as you go, you're constantly running down the clock placing portals, especially if the survivors are clearing them.

He's loud as #########. Survivors will hear you coming from a mile away, even if you're stealthed. They'll also know you're chasing someone else and can safely focus on gens/totems/portals.

There's so much time wasting in his kit that he just completely ######### over himself if the survivors are any decent with their rotations.

  • Definitely Yui and Cheryl

  • Don't use meta perks. They'll only make you play worse.

  • @Mr_K said:

In your case they ended the match. If they continued to hide even after you gave up, then it would be considered holding the game hostage.

"It's not holding hostage cause you quit the game" lol

Well as long as totems stand, there would be a constant anxiety around whether or not some unforeseen curse might befall a survivor, but that kind of falls short if, for example, you have a SWF who cleansed all totems, even without a counter or tracker. I understand your point, though. The horror aspect of the game is very important. And I also understand your argument for NOED, but that's your personal experience that you're basing your arguments off of. If so many people are complaining about perks like NOED, I think it might speak to some sort of fundamental design flaw in either the perk itself or the way that totems work in some way. Again, not arguing for or against, I'm just throwing around ideas and whatnot.

The reason why NOED works so well in solo queue is because survivors are too selfish. Too focused on just doing gens. You see it all the time. Those people who post posts like "I did 3-4 gens myself while my team didn't do any". What they don't realise is that the team is taking pressure off that player himself so he can sit there and mindlessly do gens. And then they'll cry the team didn't try to save him and let him die on first hook without realising that the team are all on death hook and you could've given your own hook states to relieve pressure from your team so when you are hooked at end game, the team will have hook states left to rescue you. Message to solo queue survivors, get the ######### off gens and help your team. I will go the ######### out of my way to keep the killer off the rando who's on death hook being chased by the killer.

Also, unless I have a teammate running Inner Strength(super rare in itself) I always find myself doing all 5 totems. SoloQ survivors will absolutely just not touch totems at all for whatever the ######### reason.

And if a noed does activate because the team did gens faster than I thought they could, I will stick around and try to find that noed totem. Most people will just leave when noed hits. Some dumbasses will hookbomb for the save and go down to noed. 90% of the time if the killer gets someone down, they're going to camp them. Lots of time to freely search the map for the totem, especially if its first hook.

Another selfish thing is DCs/suicides. Suiciding/DCing because of noed prevents that ---^ up there from happening. Hang on, I'll try to get that totem and we'll save you. Suiciding because of camp? Well, you pretty much just killed your entire team. DCing because you were the first one to go down? How ######### sad of a person must you be?

Another major problem with survivors in general, not just soloQ, is they refuse to accept responsibility. I routinely randomly watch random streamers and whatever streamers happen to appear in my games. They run right into me after getting unhooked? I "tunneled" them. I hook them, chase someone else across the map and hook them, then as I'm patrolling gens, find them again and down and hook them again? They got "tunneled" or "camped". I routinely walk past my hex totem as protection while patrolling gens and I see you on it 3 times in a row and end up killing you? No I'm not tunneling you, just be smarter about cleansing the totem. You get unhooked a second after I hook you and the unhooker hides instead of trying to protect you? Sorry bro, I'm going to down you. I might not hook you again and just slug you but your teammate is ######### you there, not me.

######### survivors whine and complain about the most stupid ######### but refuse to improve themselves. Instead of learning to make smart saves and using the most out of the minute between hook states, they'll continue hook bomb and bring borrowed time so they can hook bomb safer. Instead of improving their looping skills, these ######### survivors rely on the exhaustion perks waaay too much. Instead of improving their stealth and looping skills, they'll run right in the killers face and go down immediately and complain about "tunneling". They'll complain about NOED "rewarding the killer for being bad" when in reality it's "rewarding the killer for the survivors being bad ". Like I've posted in the forums before, so many red rank survivors I've seen from streaming are just so bad at the game. They literally have no idea how many things in the game work it's ######### astounding.

Point is, a lot of ######### killer tactics only work because the survivors let them. It's not even about there being a "totem counter". The players shouldn't be handfed information just to try to incentivize them to do things. It'll only further discourage the players from actually trying to get better.

The thing I don't like about totems being an objective is that there is no way to know if all totems have been cleansed. There are no icons, no pop up that says "all totems cleansed", nothing. Unless you're in a SWF, you have no way of knowing unless you yourself cleanse all totems or go around the map checking every possible totem spawn until you find where all of them are/were. It's definitely a gamble to run a perk like NOED, but because DBD on the survivor side is a team based game and you have to rely on other people, it's much more of a gamble for the survivor than the killer. How much time can survivors afford to waste going around the map checking totem spawns? Can every solo queue survivor in every game afford to go around the entire map checking totem spawns and cleansing? I'm just posing these questions as a way to sort of see how you guys think about the totems and how we interact with them. I'm not making any arguments for or against cleansing or NOED, or whatever strategies people use in their games to counter hex perks in general.

There shouldn't be a notification. This is a horror game after all. Honestly the game would be a lot scarier if they got rid of a lot of things like Hex notifications.

Imagine seeing people start going down with single attacks midway through the game. It'd be an "Wait... what's happening??? Oh ######### it's DH!" kinda moment.

All the information the game is feeding you really takes you out of the horror immersion of the game.

Honestly I'm surprised NOED gets complained about so much. I bring small game every match and pretty much never get hit with NOED. I do bones(yay free points!), help my teammates, and do gens. Escape around 70% of the time. I'm not even that good at the game but I'm not a complete potato that 90% of the playerbase seems to be.

  • You're super new to the game(going through your post history). You just gotta get better.

And do bones. Doing bones isn't inefficient. If your team is decent you have way more than enough time to do bones. Try running a full hex build as a killer. You'll see all your totems blowing up minutes into the game(unless again, you're against bad survivors).

Also you say it rewards the killer for being bad? It also rewards the survivors for being bad. If they're so inefficient against such a "bad" killer that they can't even do bones during that time, then they ######### deserve to get hit with noed.

  • MMR isn't "accidentally" on, there's just no more killers playing. So all you have are these ######### low rank killers to play against.

  • Survivor isn't unplayable, the majority of the playbase just sucks.

  • Viktor is the beast and Charlotte his master

    lol

    Viktor is also a baby

  • Record it happening and report it

  • If something needs a nerf, then by definition, it's overpowered.

Can anyone tell the difference between Default and Tritanope? They look identical to me. I don't have colorblind problems, so if I did it would probably look completely different if i did, but right now, it looks the same to me

It's definitely way better. Everything doesn't look so muddy/cloudy. The Tritanope is more vibrant. More "red". It's not all so washed out looking.

I'd definitely take any of the settings over the default.

    Do you play survivor much?

Obviously not if you think GF detection mechanics are fine. They've been broken since release and often you will reveal him accidentally when you aren't even trying. Sometimes you didn't even know he was there you were working on a gen and he gets revealed accidentally.

And often you see him and try to break him out but it just won't catch on.

GF reveal mechanics have been incredibly consistent since he came out and have never been fixed.

While there are some wonky stuff that do go on, a lot of the time I've seen people complain and post videos, they're almost always just trying to reveal him wrong.

Dude I have had staring contests in the middle of Dead Dog Saloon sunny streets standing up like we were about to have a western style showdown and not revealed him. 100% visibility looking right at him at the proper distance and- nothing.

    It's absolutely dodgy.

Did you have him in the right part of your screen?

Is your character itself blocking parts of him?

Is he within 32 meters? Is he using the range reduction addons?
