I started thinking a lot about this and decided to change it.
-
Head-On
-
I've always believed that SB was superior to DH but over time, my opinion has changed. As someone who runs SB a lot, I can say that DH is a lot stronger in most cases. I still think both exhaustions are very high tier.
DH allows survivors to be greedy and make up their mistakes in a loop. SB? Not so much.
SB will ONLY help for the first 3 seconds. Once that boost ends, it's now fair game. The survivor can no longer use on-demand distance to reach a pallet or vault. Of course, 99% is a thing, but it's not consistent. Hell, you can sometimes get hit during a SB.
-
I play on Xbox with a couple of friends and we're not bad at all.
It's just hard on a console when frames drop, lag spikes, etc.
-
I don't run exposed perks anymore, but MYC gave me the most value.
-
Devs don't care. They see this as a skillful killer getting their kills.

Myers has a good amount of redeeming factors at least. Sadako just has nothing, it's awful.
The games with her are always a struggle and she's one of those killers I sometimes have to fight for my 1k at the endgame with. No anti-loop pure M1 is being on the struggle bus 24/7
I've been running Brutal Strength + Endurance lately because loops & DH screw her up pretty hard.

Good one.

I wouldn't call her stealth killer. Her stealth is the worst out of all stealth power killers. Even Pig who has slow movement speed has better stealth than her. It's more like "semi-bad-stealth".
She is weak and now overshadowed by Dredge. They both have main power to teleport but he has way better one, not in Survivors control. Plus he has unique passive power.
I'd still classify her as a stealth killer. If she's able to gain the undetectable status effect at her own will then that's a stealth ability.
Even stated by the wiki "is able to silently and invisibly traverse the realm".
I'd say her stealth is decent to very high. Sure, there's a lullaby, but she is capable of landing very easy first hits.
@lemonsway said:
Would it be too strong if Condemned was a passive that built itself up over time? It could guarantee an insta kill yes but are we wrong to assume that any survivor in a trial against Sadako should be there because they saw the tape and they're meant to die?
Then the game turns into: EScape before i can insta-die, which just makes people gen rush harder but if you're that desperate for quickness you're also more susceptible to making more mistakes cause the time pressure is there for survivors.
If the condemned built up at a fair rate for both sides then I could see it happening or make it go at a slightly faster rate, but the passive won't build up for the last stack and Sadako would have to work for the last stack.
Honestly, I dig it.
@JohnWick1654 said:
My question would be, why should the tapes remove condemned if the rate of condemned gain is basicaly nonexistant in the first place?
I guess for counterplay and to shine more light on her lore. Condemned needs to feel more impactful.

A fitting room has been asked for awhile from some people including me but I don't think the devs are considering it anytime soon.

Nice.

I'd wish they'd make it PER emblem... or extend the double XP event hehehehehehe >:)

Oh boy I did not even consider the legendary skins. I only own 1 so I can't even tell if any other are broken.
Thanks, though. This is exactly what I was hoping for.
It's quite funky looking. It was super buggy one time and Lisa was doing her signature stance and opening stance so fast, it looked like she was clapping.

@wimpy said:
Sorry, I made a big mistake. Apparently the emblem bonus is given for one of the best emblem out of the four emblems obtained within that match.
I reviewed my records from 3 months ago. I had gotten 4 iri emblems as a survivor and had earned 18 points. As a Killer I had gotten 1 iri emblem, 1 gold emblem and 1 silver emblem and had earned 18 points as well.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/80L4B4GVT846/image.png
In conclusion, the DOUBLE EMBLEM XP was calculated correctly. However, it was just a cute little bonus that at the most 18 points would become 36 points.
Yeah I was about to point this out. The game only counts the highest earned emblem.
-
I noticed this with other survivors.
Elodie's right arm stretches at an odd angle when she's carrying an item and Lisa's arms stretch out even when there's no item. I'm pretty sure she only does this when she's carrying one.
-
So a semi-nerf to these perks that aren't meta to begin with?
I mean the concept is creative but the excecution would be so poor.
I don't think survivors would risk the slight buffs for a chance for it to backfire.
Also did you mean "Deception" for Misdirection?
-
It has its uses.
It can easily discourage killers from chasing you since the distance it gives is a LOT considering the killer is also wiping their weapon.
The ONLY thing I don't like about it is how it relies on a NON-insta down killer or that you're not exposed in any way.

That one would be fire. I have Cheryl and p3 with Lisa and Cybil
Same here. Lisa, Cybil, and Jonathan are the only survivor legendaries I have.
-
Prestige Lisa Garland would be the best one and thematically fitting.

isn't it more like, that killers are pushed to learn how to win against coordinated SWF teams, so an uncoordinated Solo 4-man team is pretty easy to deal with ?
An uncoordinated solo team is VERY easy to deal with which is why people including myself are asking for changes & QOL to make it easier for the survivor side.

I like any new content so I'm pretty hyped up.
Haddie's perks definitely have room for improvement and I'm glad we're getting a new map!
The pre-set load-outs are what I'm looking forward to the most tbh.

Perhaps you need to take chase more often and body block for the others.
If you were to see my matches, I get chased PLENTY but the killer will leave me noticing that I am experienced.
I take a lot of protection hits AND successful sabo's with my toolboxes. Hell, I'll even trade hooks IF it's necessary.
I'm doing my part and I will help the team if I have the chance to but don't expect me to be superman and carry everyone else because if they won't do their part then so be it, I'll fight for myself.
-
Of course! Just trying to acknowledge the good deeds of some players :)
@Lekitzul said:
It depends SOLEY on how the team mates/killer is acting. If they are face camping, I usually don't want to give them the satisfaction of seeing my team mates die, so I will let them pop genies. I do wish they would give points for staying on the hook like Hanging On! 500 points! For like, if someone is leaving you on the hook, and you go from strike one, to two and three without being removed.
An incentive would definitely be good but knowing BHVR, we'd have to beg on all fours if we want any form of incentive for this BS.
@[Deleted User] said:
I'm hanging in there for the full duration and I appreciate it when others do. Punish the camp. Don't reinforce it. Do gens though. Don't stand around the hook doing nothing. Save or don't, but make a decision quickly.
Exactly! Don't let the killer get an easy win.

Hopefully sooner rather than later. It kinda boggles my mind that there are suddenly ppl saying "Solo queue isn't THAT bad." I was genuinely under the impression that the majority of the community agreed that the hierarchy of power in DBD goes like this:
SWF
Killer
Solo Queue
But then I joined the forums and suddenly people think solo queue is in a great spot.
But, hopefully it comes soon. We need solo queue in line with swf so actual balance changes can be made to the game.
I believe in that hierarchy too.
People who think solo queue is fine are either lucky that their teammates are good or are the only ones who survive and use their sole escape as "evidence".
Either way, solo queue is NOT fine and needs to be in line with SWF as you said.

The fact that you always end up being the last survivor can also mean you are a bad teammate...
can't tell for sure without watching the game tho
If my teammates are dropping down like flies and getting themselves in awful situations, I can only do so much to help the whole team.
-
@ad19970 said:
To be fair, arguably the biggest problem of solo queue is matchmaking. Obviously as solo survivor you don't have as much information compared to playing with an swf, but the inconsistent matchmaking is the biggest source of frustration I feel.
And that's something that can't be solved with balance changes, and the matchmaking sadly isn't that great.
Very true.
I wouldn't mind solo queue if I got teammates around my skill, but most survivors I pair up with play as if it's their first game. I always end up being the last survivor remaining in the trial.

Something needs to be done about bubba fadecampers. Like how is this still a thing?
The devs want us to be better at hockey I guess.
@pseudechis said:
I always do, play it out to the bitter end you may still get out.
Right. A face camping bubba should only get 2 kills maximum tbh.
-
Faced an Oni like this recently and it was ridiculous. Everybody was dropping like flies.
Doesn't Oni (similar to Blight) have a hard cap with this sensitivity or something? I'm on console so I wouldn't be able to pull off these antics.

What if the hooked Survivor got a small amount of Bloodpoints whenever another Survivor in the trial does something notable, like repair a generator?
So for instance, the hooked Survivor gets let's say, 250 Bloodpoints or something, the moment a generator is completed.
That would be pretty nice tbh.
It's small, but it's something!

@Blueberry said:
Very uninteractive game play.
You just hug walls but no matter how tight you hug you will slowly eat a knife or two here and there so you're guarenteed to go down.
So the survivor doesn't have fun because they will go down regardless of what they do but the Trickster also doesn't have fun because even though he's gonna get the down it's going to take too long so it loses him the game anyway.
This leads to neither side having much fun.
This.
I'm still surprised that they really went through with this power even though they could've done so much more with a KPOP killer. AOE effect? Music? Nah, just some knives.
-
If 2 go then I'll farm with the last two.
I like farming so let's goooo.

I really wish BHVR would give them any kind of incentive to stay up there. I always will (unless everyone is just hiding or something) because as a Solo Queuer, I am very well aware of how much it sucks when the one chance you have against Bubba is snatched away because someone isn't willing to use a few minutes of their life to help a stranger.
I get that its' a game so it's not like these are bad people or whatnot, it just really sucks and puts your fellow players in an awful position so I won't do it.
An incentive would be appreciated. No one booted up the game to be camped to death.
I stay on the hook too bc I know how much it'd suck for the others.
@Blueberry said:
I try to always hang there and buy my team as much time as possible. If you suicide you're just rewarding them for doing it and going to make them do it even more.
Same!
I have the same ideology abt it too bc if you don't like what they're doing, why help them do it? At the very least, help your team by giving them time.
-
Claire should be at the bottom.
I have yet to be with or face a Claire that could barely play this game.
-
I don't experience vacuuming whenever I play survivor.
Plus, it was WAY worse in the past.

God I hate it when they try to start killing themselves when you are trying to finish a hook. Like, bruh, you can hang for a minute. If we finish the gen, we have a better chance as escaping as a whole team. I only let myself die if say they literally leave me until my second hook, then I'm hasta luega.
Right!
-
I get a mix of both :p
-
If they could make it so that Sabotuer only goes on cooldown after a FULL sabo then I'd be happy.
I swear the amount of times I accidentally touch a hook for half a second only to see it enter that long cd is infuriating.
-
The first model of Cybil was WAY worse so I'm glad they fixed her up.
-
@dugman said:
If I could remove one thing it would be map offerings. They just exacerbate issues between maps and exploits for little to no benefit. I think the game would be better off without them.
No literally.
Made a post about it too and they really need to go.

Interesting. That'd be cool.

@Cleverotter said:
if you can’t win a 3v1 as a swfs it’s likely a skill issue
Whenever I'm in a 3-man SWF, our random is bound to mess up hard and if it's a sweaty killer, they'll capitalize on the random's mistake.
We just had Felix kill himself first hook when 5 gens were left because all 3 of us were working on different gens and we were facing a sweaty blight.
It's nowhere near a skill issue.

If it's a short corrective blink, then it's fairly easy. The goal is to make that second blink distance longer and preferably have it involve obscured/broken LOS. Which is why it's so important to do your work early and make distance.
Break LOS and turn your camera to get an idea of where the 1st blink is aiming. Most Nurses will blink to the corner. Don't stop moving (unless she's obviously going for a prediction blink) and break LOS from her anticipated landing point. This is why we're looking at where she's aiming her first blink. Once LOS is broken for the second blink, assume she's going to prediction blink it. Make some distance and sidestep it left or right. I promise that will cover you against 90% of Nurses. It takes practice.
I'm pretty good at dealing with the first blink, but most of the nurses I face know how to position themselves with that first blink to help them secure a hit with the second one. They never go for a prediction 2nd blink, they'll just blink directly behind or on top of me. Prediction blinks are easy to read and deal with so I'm assuming nurses just stopped doing it too much
I always run early too but it won't really matter if she has range add-ons. She'll be behind me in a few seconds. Speaking of add-ons. Double recharge is a pain. I've made nurses whiff several times, but it won't matter because she'll have her blinks already before I can make it to a decent tile or obstacle to break LOS.
